THE BREW.

ALEXANDRIA'S POV

I was soooo pissed.

Actually, that was an understatement. I was beyond pissed.

Before you call me crazy, I do have perfectly acceptable reasons as to why I want to hit anyone that comes near me.

Firstly, Seth - the freakishly good looking yet incredibly annoying Apollyon that is supposed to be my 'other half' - knocks my beautifully delicious drink all over me.

Then neither him nor Aiden - the Romeo to my Juliet, with all the forbidden mojo going on - will tell me what the hell is going on as they half drag, half carry me down endless corridors that all look the same to me.

And then, get this - I'm being thrown inside a room, none to gracefully on my behalf with my damn beloved.

Now... most girls wouldn't mind being carted around a building and being locked in a room with the Apollyon. But I'm not most girls, which I'm sure people have started to pick up on.

So of course, I made a fuss, kicked and thrashed about, demanding answers that I knew I wouldn't get. It was just fun to see the annoyed look on Seths face.

I like to get my kicks out of the little things in life.

"Are you at least going to tell me why I'm wearing my drink?" I ask, gesturing to my top, whilst Seth flicks the lock on his door. I resist the urge to throw something at his pretty head, just to ruffle his perfect hair up a bit. Or his nose.

I don't know why.

I start to look around his room, hoping to distract myself, trying to find something that I could change into. I mean, the amount of girls he's probably brought back to this room - which is countless of times, not that I care - you would have thought that they just might have left one piece of clothing lying around somewhere by accident - but no.

"No." He said with a blank look my way. "So why don't you be a good girl, sit on the bed and be quiet whilst I think." Seth glared at me until I obeyed. Something I didn't like doing when Seth was the one giving orders. Stupid apollyon.

I was thinking of the many ways that I could suddenly do a surprise attack on him because I was that bored. One of them was to jump on his back and cling to him like a deranged little monkey.

This was around the time the room started to feel like I was sitting on the freaking sun. Apart from all the burning alive stuff. It was like someone was sitting by the thermostat and knocking it up a notch every couple of seconds, just to watch me squirm. For some reason I pictured a leprechaun doing it.

My palms were beginning to sweat. Screw my palms, everywhere felt like it was sweating. I went to put my thick heavy hair up but when I went to grab a bobble off of my wrist, I scratched my skin of where one should have been instead.

"Can you pop a window or something? I feel like I'm in an oven." I stood, and walked over to the window to try and unlock it. In the corner of my eye, I could see Seth watching my movements. I've never been all that graceful, so with the floor feeling like jelly to me, I bet I looked like a right weirdo.

When I got to the window, instead of opening it like I originally wanted to, my hand reached for the thick curtain and I started to fan my body with the edge of it.

Seth didn't comment or say anything, which was bizarre. I was just about to question him and ask what was up, when the first blast of cold, fresh air hit me smack in the face. And boy - it was heaven. I wanted to bucket it up like water and pour it all over me. If only that was possible.

I smiled to myself at the idea and starting swaying slowly round the room. Twirling and flowing.

"What in the world are you doing now?" Seth groaned and dropped his head into his hands, hiding his pretty face from me. "Is it that impossible for you to just sit still for at least a couple minutes, until Aiden comes?"

I made a face and ignored him, but really liked the fact that Aiden was going to be here soon.

The idea flew out of my head as fast as it entered it. I continued to dance. "I feel like someone off of that movie dirty dancing, have you ever seen it?" I didn't wait for an answer. "Probably not - it's so amazing. Everybody's just swaying and dancing together." I glided across the room still swinging my hips about - hopefully looking damn good and not like someone with two left feet.

I was so lost in the moment that I don't hear or register Seth moving behind me until I felt his smooth fingertips on my waist. The heat from them burned through the thin material of my top. "Stop." He said, and it sounded like he had through clenched teeth. "That's not helping." Then his warm fingers left my body and he was gone. I turned my head to look over my shoulder and saw him back in his original space on the bed.

I pouted and swivelled around. "You're no fun. Come dance with me, I won't tell anyone." All of a sudden I got a weird idea in my head.

My fingers grabbed hold of the bottom of my shirt and I pulled it up in one clean sweep over my head. And then I went and did the next best thing and stripped my trousers off leaving me standing there with my matching lacy bra and pants set. Thank god I had decided to put them on this morning. I should make it a rule from now on, because you never know what might happen in the day.

Seth, who was being the most boring person on the planet right now, had his eyes closed and his forefingers were rubbing at his temples, so he didn't notice my stripper-worthy move until I strolled over to him and straddled his legs.

Seth sucked in a big sharp breath, like it pained him. His strange yellow shaded eyes flew open and stared back at me with such heat and fire in them. "Alex, get off." Then his strangely beautiful eyes drifted down and took in my half naked body. He cursed under his breath. "Gods, Aiden is going to kill me for this."

"Sh, I won't tell, if you won't." I giggled. A part of my sane mind, that was being gobbled up by my not so-sane mind, registered the fact that I had just in fact giggled and I made sure to mentally slapped myself later.

Seth looked like he was having a debate inside of his head. I could practically see the wheels in his mind turning. Probably one of the only times I have ever been able to read something off of him. All the other times he was a closed book.

At this moment, I wish I was a mind reader. Imagine how cool that would be. To be able to weasel my way into the Apollyon's head and have a dig around, well, it would just be like Christmas.

I knew before he made his move to grab hold of my waist what he had decided he wanted. I was just that good at reading somebody. I think.

With his hands on my hips, he steered me towards him. Chest to chest. We stared each other straight in the eyes. Nothing was between us but a breath. I watched as his eyes locked onto mine, stared deep within me, making me feel self concious and then they moved downwards and my mouth fell open with a sigh.

It was all going so well. Our lips were literally a millimetre apart when Seth's door burst wide open. The sound of it had me twirling my head around and gazing over my shoulder at the interruption.

There in all his Gods glory stood Aiden St Delphi. My heart did a little flip-flop movement behind my rib-cage.

My mind was on a different ball game now.

I didn't know whether to feel guilty for looking at another guy whilst I was on Seth's lap or feel angry at myself for being on said persons lap whilst Aiden was here.

The room was silent, nobody spoke and it felt like time had slowed down. I probably looked like one of those kids who stood outside shop windows and gazed in at all the goodies that they couldn't have, with big cheesy grins on their faces.

I lifted one of my hands up to check my face and low and behold - I had the stupidest smile on my face. I started prodding at it with my hand and fingers, squeezing and moving my skin around, making squidgy faces and staring off in a daze.

"Seth- I swear to god..." Aiden growled. Oh, yes please.

Seth's hands flew from my hips and shot up in surrender. I squealed and supported my own weight with my hands on his toned shoulders."This isn't what it looks like. She just stripped, I think... and jumped on me... and then you walked in. Impeccable timing, really." Seth spoke quickly as if to help calm the look of anger off of Aidens face.

I hit Seth's chest with a fist. "You said you wouldn't tell!" I whined.

Seth gave me childish smile. "No, you said you wouldn't tell." He replied, whilst I ignored him and carried on with my moaning. "Talk about throwing somebody under a bus. And whilst I'm in this terrible, vulnerable position." I played and feigned innocence.

Seth nor Aiden looked amused. Seth looked more shocked and a little guilty. And Aiden just looked like he wanted a hug.

Kidding, he looked like he wanted to throw Seth under a thousand buses, literally. If looks could kill, Seth would have already been six feet under long ago.

Anyway, they were boring me, so I went back to prodding my face. Seth took advantage of my distracted state and lifted me off of him before dumping me back on the bed - alone.

I started rolling around in the sheets, feeling how soft they were on my skin. Relishing in the feeling of silk on skin. "Seth, will you let me marry your bed? I'm pretty sure it's allowed in some states in America." I suddenly sat up. "Fun fact, somebody married his own dog before!" I swung my head between them both. "I know, it's so cool." And then flew flat on my back again.

"Alex, you can't marry a bed. Especially not Seth's." Aiden said and crossed his arms. "Seth lock the door and make sure no one walks in..." He looked directly at me. "Or Out." Aiden instructed.

Seth went to lock the door like a good boy that he is. A puzzled yet intrigued look appeared on his face, "The door was locked. How did you get in?" He directed the question at Aiden who just smirked.

"Oh yeah, lets go on an adventure!" I blurted out the hobbit quote, with my best hobbit impression. Seth looked like he wanted to laugh, but from the glare that Aiden shot him, he smothered it with a cough instead.

Standing by Aidens side both of them looked like two big freaking body guards. Correction - Hot body guards. Fire and Ice. Hot and... Hot.

"Yum." I licked my lips.

I spent a couple more minutes staring at my personal sexy body guards before I started to get bored. They didn't do much. Why couldn't they jump into a magic mike routine and entertain me?

Woah, dirty thoughts. I batted them away quickly. Well, tried to. Really, I did.

I looked around the room for something to entertain me but nothing caught my eyes. I even started humming to myself, prodding my face again and then back to staring "Seth I thought you was supposed to be fun."

He rolled his eyes "I am fun." He defended. "Just not when you're like this." His hand signal gestured to all of me. I didn't know whether to be offended or not.

"No you're not - Hey I know, lets go back to the swimming pool Seth. Now, that was you being fun. Even after the little kiss stunt you pulled." I scoffed at the memory. Then stuck my tongue out.

Aiden looked like he wanted to punch Seth really badly right now - Gods, I love pressing his buttons. Like I said before, the little things in life.

Seth held his hands up in surrender, again. "Hey, don't start going all jealous on me, you had your chance. And you blew it when you blew her off." Seth whistled. "That was pretty lame of you, by the way. I was the one who had to train with-"

"Leave." Aiden interrupted without taking his breathtaking silver eyes off me. They were more of a grey right now, but they were still dreamy.

Sigh.

"Bu..." Seth's words were cut off when Aidens fist said hello to the Apollyon's face. My own eyes popped open wide, taking in the scene before me. It wasn't exactly Magic Mike but things still got a lot more interesting, that was for damn sure.

Seth and Aiden are both trained. Really, really trained. They were both dangerous and deadly... oh, and hot. But right now, it looked like all of that had gone out of the nearest window and they were just hitting what they could, when they could. They were grabbing hold of things and swinging without even aiming, like a couple of drunken guys.

I puffed a breath out. Great, now I have to step in. I finally spotted a shirt that was slung down on the floor beside a chair in the room and threw it on over my head. It landed at mid-thigh and swayed loosely. I didn't think of it as a guys shirt, I just thought it was a very manly designed dress. That's what I told myself anyway.

Standing on weak legs wasn't fun. "Guys, come on. This is so, unbelievably stupid." I moaned and tried to laugh it off. But they either didn't hear me or were ignoring me - rude.

They were both pushing each other. Their bodies hit dressers, a mirror and things on the floor, but it still didn't stop them.

I wanted to shout out at them to be careful. They had beautiful bodies at they were going to ruin them if they carried on.

I then decided that if I wanted them to stop, I would have to jump in. And like clever old me, I butted in at the wrong time because the next thing I know, I'm on my back in the middle of the room with pain shooting all the way up my left side. It was a pulsing pain. Like a stinging sensation being shot into me every time my heart beat.

"Gods..." I even struggled for breath "I think you just made a pancake out of my body, Seth."

"Get the hell out - NOW!" Aiden shouted and I jumped. It was weird, and slightly scary seeing and hearing Aiden shout and get angry. It didn't happen often. He was always so calm and collected. I don't know if I liked the angry side of him.

Seth grumbled and looked like he wanted to protest - but for once he did the sensible thing and backed down, leaving me and Aiden alone - yay me. I would be doing a happy dance right now if my side wasn't in so much freaking pain!

So I did a mental one instead. I was just about to the macarena when Aiden spoke.

"Alex, shit... I'm so sorry." Aiden said and crouched down next to me. His face wavered into my line of sight. His eyebrows were pinched together and his lips pursed.

"Is it flat?" I whispered, blinking slowly. Each time it was harder to open my eyes.

"What?" He looked confused for a second and then it clicked. "Oh, your side. No it's still there, curvy as always." Aiden said and blushed a little. Blushing Aiden was a sight I did like to see.

"Curvy, huh?" I thought about it for a bit, but then my head began to hurt, so I made a mental note to re-think and fuss over it like a normal girl later. "Cool." I groaned and sat up. Probably not the best idea, I thought a little too late as a train of nausea hit me like a ton of bricks. "Sick..." I gulped and pointed to the bathroom.

Aiden understood and quickly but carefully picked me up to carry me to the bathroom where I emptied all of my stomach into Seth's clean, white toilet. Obviously not the prettiest sight in the world, but at the moment, I really didn't care.

Plus, it was revenge on Seth at the same time. He throws rocks at me, I throw up in his beautiful clean toilet. Tit for tat. Karma. And all that jazz.

"Gods... who invented sick... I mean it's so gross and.. lame. Oh my god I'm so lame, I'm the queen of lameness." What the hell was I blabbing on about now? Somebody stop me!

Aiden found that funny - not what I was hoping for. I was at least expecting a little bit of sympathy."It's not funny - you jerk." And then - I cried. Why the hell am I crying?

Aidens face quickly changed as he noticed tears falling down my face. He swooped me up again, carried me back to the bed where he set me down. I thought he was going to go and leave me, but then I felt a warm body slide in behind me and big arms circle my waist. Aidens scent filled my senses, my world as he placed his chin on my shoulder. Our legs tangled together.

"Aiden." I hiccuped. "Why am I so lame? I mean, I just wanted a normal life as a sentinel where I could protect people but now..." My bottom lip trembled, which sucked. My whole bad-ass exterior was crumbling down right in front of Aiden. Not that he hadn't already seen my weepy, gentle side. But you know. Walls are built for a reason.

Aiden traced the side of my face with his delicate, smooth, long fingers "Alex, you're anything but lame. And you can still be a sentinel, just a bad ass Apollyon sentinel - we could really use you on our team." Aiden joked. His breath tickled my cheek and I could feel the chuckles from his laugh in his chest. "Get some sleep now, if you keep talking you're going to regret it all in the morning."

I went to hit his words with one of my many famous comebacks but he butted in before I could - A first. "Good night Alex."

"Wait, you're not leaving, are you?" Gods, make it obvious Alex. But the thought of him actually leaving brought a chill to my body. I wanted him close. I wanted him with me.

"Nope, you have me all night. You lucky thing." He mumbled into my hair and then kissed the top of my head. I would have made a big deal out of the action but my eyes were already drooping.

"But I could think of so many other things we could be doing right now instead of sleeping." I mumbled tiredly.

He peeped one eye open and gave me one of those stares - yep, he could still do it with one eye. I thought about what I just said. "Oops, you're right." I chuckled guilty with a yawn. "Maybe I should go sleep. You know, I hate it when you're right."

DISCLAIMER: The amazingly talented and inspirational Jennifer L. Armentrout owns all of the characters in this story.

I posted this story a while ago and when I got a review the other day, I realised how badly I missed the Covenant series. So, for now, I've done a quick update on this piece. You might notice a few edits here and there, but the plot is still the same.

It's a shame this series isn't bigger on Fan-fiction because now that Jennifer has brought it to an end, I miss reading it. Don't get me wrong, I've reread it over and over again and I will continue to, because it's brilliant!

But it would be awesome if more people knew about it and wrote stories about it to post on here.

For now though, I'll leave you with this.

Thinking of doing another Covenant story. I'll just have to see how that goes!

THANK YOU! XO
