Chapter 1

The sun shone brightly on the land known as Japan, an island country located off the coast of Eastern Asia. A region filled with towering cities, a beautiful language, with its people steeped in a culture that dates back thousands of years. Deep in the heart of this wonderful region, there is a town filled with wonderful people who would happily offer their assistance to those in need, a town called Sainan.

This story is not about them though, this is a story about one boy who had a life changing event take place in the midst of his childhood. One that changed him from a happy, innocent boy, to one steeped in sadness. However, that is a tale for another time. This tale is about another of those pesky life changing events; this fateful meeting would change not only his life, but the life of those around him as well…

As the bell rang to signal the end of the school day, the students left the classroom in a hurried fashion, many merely meeting up with friends while others went to speak to their teacher, Honekawa, a balding, elderly man who was rarely seen without his big, round swirl glasses. However, one student of average height remained in his seat, his gaze fixated on the scenery outside the classroom window as his golden-brown eyes tracked an unknown bird as it flew by before becoming obstructed by his rust colored hair, the unruly spikes seemed to stick out in various directions. The 15 year-old sighed as he moved the obstructing strand of hair back into place.

Two students, both female, took notice of the seated student causing one to turn to her friend, "What's wrong with him?" She muttered in an attempt to not be overheard, "He never speaks to anybody, he just stares out the window all day and he always disappears at lunch."

"I have no idea, he was in my class last year too and I don't remember ever seeing him speak to anyone. He's a weird kid if you ask me."

"Really? I guess he's always been like that then. Well anyways, have you seen the newest…"

"Yeah, I can't believe…"

Unknown to the duo, the quiet teen had heard the gossiping friends loud and clear, but just like always he merely ignored the schoolyard gossip and continued looking through the window. He stayed like this for half an hour, waiting for every student remaining to leave before grabbing his stuff and leaving. He left the classroom alone, the empty hallways a reminder of his isolation from his peers. despite this his face showed no emotion, he left the school unseen by anybody, a ghost to all.

Later in the evening the teen finally arrived home.

As he opened the door he shouted, "Mikan, I'm home!"

Mikan, his little sister, was the only person that he actually spoke to. The reliable, independent 12 year-old took care of the majority of the housework while their parents were away working. Despite having the same eye-color, something they inherited from their father, Mikan's personality couldn't be more different than her siblings', being much more extroverted. The preteens long brown hair reached down to her lower back and her 4'9 stature, while short for her age, did little to impede her in any way.

"Rito!" His sister sounded surprised, "I thought you were training today."

"I did, but it ended early," came the reply, "I'm going to go to take a shower, alright?"

"Alright."

Their house was located a small distance from the town, the house contained two floors as well as a garden out back where Rito took care of his plants. Within the household, on the ground floor, past the main door was a small hallway which was connected to the living room on the left, which in turn was connected to the kitchen, and on the right side was a wardrobe. Past the door that lead to the living room was a staircase that lead to the second floor, on the left side of these stairs there was another hall. In this hall, on the left side, was a bathroom with a spare room at the end of it. Contained within the living room was a sofa with its back to the door and an armchair (Occupied by Mikan) with a coffee table in between them, a sliding door leading out to the garden, and a plasma television in the corner. Directly to the left of the door leading into the living room was a short cabinet with multiple paintings above it and a display cabinet sitting against the left wall.

On the second floor of the house was Rito's, Mikan's, and their parents rooms along with a second bathroom, a guest room, and a door leading to the attic of the house. Currently Rito was relaxing within the bathroom on the second floor, unaware of what would soon take place.

Rito sighed, sinking lower in the tub as his thoughts wandered back towards the gossiping girls. They didn't understand. How could they? They didn't know what had happened to him, nobody at school knew, and he didn't plan on telling anyone. They called him strange. They called him quiet. They were right, even if he wasn't always like this. He changed that day, so long ago. He leant his head against the side of the tub and sighed.

Suddenly, a pinpoint of light appeared just above the water, he quickly realized that the size of the light was rapidly increasing as it began to emit a low whine which steadily increased in volume alongside the light. As the light began to fluctuate he crossed his arms in front of his face, the panicked reaction stopping him from being blinded as a bright flash went off. When the light died down he immediately noticed something was off, he opened one of his eyes to find an extremely attractive teenage girl standing in the tub with him. Through the steam he could make out long bubblegum pink hair, emerald eyes, above average breasts, and… a tail? He would have put more thought into the tail if it weren't for one glaringly obvious fact that he noticed: the girl was completely naked!

The female, with a grin on her face, raised her arms in a victory pose and yelled, "Teleportation successful!"
