"Well this is going to be hard to explain," was Sam's first thought as she stared down at Danny's unconscious body.

She knew that no matter what she told his parents, they would try to take the thousands of years of medical knowledge into their own psychotic hands. "But I can't just leave him here," she continued with her thoughts, "What if someone came by? Then I would be questioned as to why I didn't call his parents or go to the," she snapped her fingers and proclaimed, "…hospital!"

But as soon as the epiphany came, reasons why it wouldn't work followed. "Of course they'll call his parents as soon as they find out who he is."

She looked back down at her friend, and recalled how much pain he appeared to be in before he passed out. "He looked like he was in more agony, than the time I had to pop his shoulder back into place, and he could get morphene at the hospital. But, they always take blood tests, and it's difficult to miss that a patient's blood is 50 percent neon green."

Every once in a while he would twitch in his sleep and his eyebrows would knit together, showing that even when he was dead to the world, he couldn't escape the pain. "Hospital it is."

It was a very long walk to the hospital. Once again, not wanting to be questioned by concerned bystanders and police officers, she dragged him through the back roads to find the large, white building. But the long walk gave her plenty of time to think of excuses, and by the time she got to the hospital, every one of their questions were answered without a single hesitation.

She kicked open the door, and shouted, "Help, my brother passed out!"

Instantly, a swarm of nurses pulled him away from her and laid him across a hospital bed. Sam was right at the nurses' heels as they pushed him along, not wanting to lose sight of her friend for a second. One of the nurses, a woman with light blonde hair that danced with flyaways from her ponytail, asked, "You said that he is your brother?"

"Yes."

"What's his name?"

Sam, not wanting Danny be unresponsive to his alias when he woke up, kept his first name the same. "His full name is Daniel Richard Johnson, but he prefers to go by Danny."

The nurse blew a strand of hair out of her face and wrote it all down on the clipboard. "And your name is?" the nurse continued.

"Samantha Marie Johnson," she hated saying her full first name.

"Okay, and your parents' names?"

"David Johnson and Catherine Johnson, but they live in Maine."

The blonde lady stopped writing and looked up from her clipboard, "What are you two doing here by yourselves?"

Sam sighed and continued lying, "We came here for college?"

The lady accepted that they probably looked young for their ages, and continued asking questions, "What is his birthday."

"We were both born on September 23rd, 1995."

"Aw…you're twins."

Sam rolled her eyes and nodded as if she got that a lot. They eventually arrived at an empty room and as the blonde nurse went to retrieve a doctor Sam was left alone with her friend to contemplate the consequences for what she had done. However, a harsh cough yanked her from her thoughts. "Danny," she squealed, hugging him tightly, "I'm so glad you're okay!"

His body twitched again, "I've been better," he replied with a grimace.

A light tap on the door signaled that the doctor was about to enter, and Sam hurriedly whispered in Danny's ear, "Your name is Daniel Richard Johnson, we're twins here for college."

"You've thought of everything," the halfa laughed as the door squeaked open."

"Ah, hello Daniel," the doctor smiled, "I'm glad to see you're awake. My name is Dr. Williams."

The raven-haired boy managed a meek wave. "On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the worst, "how badly would you rate your pain?" the doctor asked.

"10," Danny replied matter-of-factly.

The white-coated man raised his eyebrows, obviously not believing Danny, but not wanting to vocalize it.

The teen sighed, "Have you ever torn a ligament?"

"No, but I've treated patients who have."

"Well, I have. And it hurts worse than that."

"Where?"

"Everywhere, but mostly in my abdomen."

"Okay, we can give you some pain medicine, and I think we'll also need to take some blood tests."

Sam and Danny both shot panicked looks at each other and thought the same think. "Oh no!"

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry for taking literally forever to write this. There really is no excuse. Thank you to all of my reviewers, especially BelieveInYourDreams who inspired me to finish this chapter up.
