Walk as fast as you can,

Because there might be someone behind you."

Recap of the last chapter:

"Are you sure about this...?" A hesitant figure stood behind a tree in the park, watching the blue haired male from a distance.

"Yes...Report back to me tomorrow. I need to know if he will follow my instructions."

"I don't think this will work."

"Don't worry. Everything will go as planned."

"If you think so...Shin-chan."

"Are you sure that you want to go to school?" Kuroko's mother asked as her soft features tensed with worry. "It's fine if you want to stay home for another day..."

Kuroko smiled and shook his head, "No, I have to go to school today." He pecked her on the cheek and then tied his shoes. "Bye mom!" He smiled again and walked out of the house. He made sure to wave at her until he was sure that he was out of sight. He immediately dropped his arms to his side. He had no choice but to go to school. If he didn't, who knows what the person could do to him and his family.

He pulled out the note he had gotten with the rose and read it to himself, dodging people on the street that would never notice him anyway. "Hello Kuroko-kun. This phone is a gift to you. You can only call this number on here; I'll be waiting for you." Kuroko glanced at the black ribbon tied around his wrist, his stomach tightened. He knew something bad could happen, but he made his way to school anyway, dreading every minute of the way there.

Kuroko walked as quickly as he possibly could, hoping to not run into any of his teammates. He was somehow able to keep a low radar the whole way to school thanks to his lack of presence. He still didn't know how to confront any of his friends. What would he say to his fellow basketball members? What would he say to his teammates from middle school? So far, the Generation of Miracles were all that he remembered, but even those memories hadn't completely returned to him yet. "..."

"Kuroko!" A happy Kagami shouted the moment he laid eyes on the blue haired teen. He went to punch him for making him worried, but remembered that they weren't that close anymore. "Uh...Hi," he finished awkwardly.

"Hello Kagami-kun," Kuroko tilted his head in greeting.

Kagami's jaw practically dropped. It was the first time Kuroko ever really greeted him since his accident. "Do you remember me?!" He shouted, placing his hands on Kuroko's shoulders.

"U-Um," Kuroko stuttered, but was thankfully pulled away from the touchy Kagami.

"Kagami, please don't touch Kuroko with your dirty paws."

Kuroko was going to thank him, until he remembered what caused his absence in the first place. He shrugged away from Midorima's clutches and moved closer to Kagami on instinct. The action didn't escape their audience's notice.

"Kurokocchi..." Kise and the other three were watching from where they sat. Aomine and Murasakibara acted as though they didn't care, but whenever the teacher asked them for something, they replied with a glare.

For the rest of the day, Kuroko kept to himself. He couldn't forgive his old teammates yet. They helped ruin his childhood friend's dream. He still couldn't remember everything; he didn't know who he should believe. When school was finally over, he made an excuse to skip practice, something he had always been doing since he started school again. He needed to meet up with the mysterious person and if anyone got in his way...he didn't even want to even think about it.

When he was sure that it was time to meet the guy, he waited at the park beside his house. It was even closer than the one from the day before. He wasn't alone for long before he felt the vibration of his cell, signaling that the owner of his phone was there. He turned around, his eyes darting everywhere to see the direction where the man could be coming from. However, he felt the tap on his shoulder without hearing his footsteps behind him, but didn't have enough time to react before he was smothered with a handkerchief soiled in chloroform. He struggled to fight them off but he was pulled into a white van. He was knocked unconscious from a pinch in his neck.

When Kuroko finally came to, he found himself roped to a chair in an abandoned warehouse. His kidnappers were nowhere in sight, but after a few minutes of being groggy, he could hear voices outside. His throat burned, it must have been hours since he was kidnapped since the sun had already fallen below the horizon. There was only one light in the warehouse and it illuminated the middle of the building, right above him.

He couldn't talk even if he wanted to. They didn't feel the need to gag him; his voice wouldn't come out no matter how hard he tried to scream for help.

"So, you're finally awake, eh?"

"..." Kuroko glared at the 3 masked men. Their cockiness radiated off of them in waves.

"Still can't speak, huh?" This appeared to amuse the men. "Maybe I should give you something to scream about."

One of the guys nudged the one who suggested it and glared at him, "Hey, we were told not to touch the precious goods." He said.

"They won't notice if we rile him up a bit," the guy shot back.

Kuroko closed his eyes shut, expecting something bad to happen, but instead he heard the soft thuds of bodies. When he opened his eyes, they were all down for the count.

"Are you okay Tetsuya?"

"How do you know my name?" Kuroko tried to ask, but his vision suddenly became foggy and he soon lost consciousness.

"Ugh," Kuroko blinked, groaning.

"Finally up sleeping beauty? Here's a cup of water."

Kuroko eagerly took the cup, his hands shook, causing some water to splash around. He drank two more glasses before he could finally speak coherently. "Thank you for saving me..." Kuroko bowed in front of the man.

The man shook his head and smiled. "No need to thank me."

"Where are we?"...Who are you?" Kuroko asked, his heart starting to thump in his chest as he finally got a good look at his savior's face.

"We're at my apartment and I'm the one who called you to meet up," the man smiled and crossed his arms as he leaned against the wall. "My name is Nijimura."
