"Hey George? You think that she-wolf we caught belonged to anyone?" A young redheaded man asked as he stood outside leaned up against the door frame to the office.

"Why would you ask something stupid like that?" A gruff voice replied from inside the building.

"Well If you remember correctly, we took that collar off of her before we set her loose in the pen." The young man returned gruffly as well. "And stop biting my damn head off." 'Not my fault your wife left you for a richer man' he grumbled under his voice.

"Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that." The sound of a desk drawer creaking open filled the air as he fished out the collar.

"The thing is all beat up and has a babble of some sort. I'm guessing someone had her as a puppy and ended up getting rid of her when she started getting big. You know people are always doing that. Get em cause they all cute as babies then flushing them when they grow up. Like those alligators in the sewer. Who knows what those Japanese people buy and get rid of." George twirled the collar around his finger, not noticing as the clear pink jewel turned a little darker.

. . .

Kagome tilted her head to the side as she stared at her pack mate.

They want us to mate? Kagome shook her head at the foolishness of the humans. First chance she got, she was going to get herself and Ginta out of the hands of these humans. Well, after she killed the leader that is. While I'm thinking about it. How did you end up here?

Ginta laid down before his alpha female as he started his story.

You know how quickly the humans began to start turning against us and all the other demons. You warned us, and we were able to adapt. We started running around in our smaller beast forms. Everything was good for a long time, but more and more humans kept appearing. Eventually the humans got their hands on those guns, and before we knew it, we were being hunting in demon forms for our fur.

It was a genocide, sister. Our pack had always been good to the humans, we never killed another human after Kouga kidnapped you. A few of our younger pups had even befriended a boy in the town closest to the den. They were paying people money for bringing in a dead wolf at the time, and the humans ended up following the young pups back to the den.

The only ones to make it out alive were me and Kouga. Japan wasn't safe for us anymore hunters were everywhere. So the first chance we got, we stole aboard a ship and wound up here in America.

Kouga and I ran together for a long time after that, even had some of the natural wolves join our pack and we changed our shape and fur to resemble theirs. One day Kouga went out hunting and didn't return. Me and a few others in our new pack went out to look for him and the humans caught us. I've been in a lot of places since then, a few of the pack members are here with me as well. We are in some kind of breeding program.

Kagome snorted, unhappily.

So how exactly do I get to meet the rest of this pack?

Ginta covered his eyes with his paw.

They put me in here to see if I would kill you or accept you into the pack. I'm the alpha until we can find Kouga. Well honestly, your the alpha. But they've been trying to find me a mate for the last few years.

Kagome bent down and licked his cheek.

No worries brother. We'll find away out of this and go find our Kouga. I am so glad that I was able to find you. I've been alone for so long. Kagome moved to where she was on the side of Ginta and laid down. Using her size to her advantage, she seemed to wrap her body around his smaller size and laid down.

For a moment, Kagome thought about not killing the huge burly man for bringing her here, she did find Ginta after all.

. . .

The men in the office watched in awe as their biggest and meanest wolf bowed to the large white female.

"Look like she's more than Fang could handle guys!" Their gruff sounding leader laughed in the background.

"Doesn't matter if he can handle her or not, we should put them in with the rest of the wolves until she goes into heat. Once she goes into heat, she'll breed with him."

. . .

once more the sting of something flying into her flank took Kagome completely by disguise causing her to jump to her paws and fiercely growl at the men at the fence .

Its okay, Sister Kagome. This just means that they're gonna move us into the bigger pen with the others.

Kagome went down growling.

I'm definitely killing him….
