Chapter two: The Letter

"Here, Reborn-san. Please review it first before we print two hundred copies." A Vongola member, named Tsubaki, said as she gave the letter to the hitman. Reborn smirked, "Thank you. You may go. I'll update you."

The Vongola member bowed before leaving the hotel room where Reborn was residing. The smirk never leaving his face, Reborn opened the letter and started reading it.

A large Vongola insignia was elegantly placed on the envelope, and the word Vongola written in cursive was under the insignia. Nodding in approval at the design, Reborn brought out the stationery paper. He sniffed it, and mentally approved of the scent. Then, he rubbed his hands on the paper, 'Good. It's durable enough.' Reborn thought.

He started reading the words on the stationery,

Do you want to have Vongola Decimo's hand in marriage?

Or do you want him to never marry someone?

There will be a game, starting on September 15, 20xx.

Before then, gather your allies, polish your strategies and enhance your defenses.

There will only be two groups, one will defend and the other will attack.

Angels, you will defend Vongola Decimo from the Demons' advances.

Demons, you will seduce and make the Vongola Decimo fall in love with you.

The end of the game is when Decimo chooses someone, or when he decides that he will never marry. But for now, find out who your allies are.

Signed,

Reborn

Vongola Nono

"Good, it's straight to the point." He said, reading the letter again, with its black ink, complementing the peach colored stationery. He reached out for his phone, dialing Tsubaki's phone number. "It's perfect. Come here by nine in the morning, tomorrow. Print three hundred, instead of two hundred. That's all, bye."

A smirk was evident on the hitman's face as he hung up the call.

Xanxus was about to go to his room until he saw a letter in front of his bedroom. He just kicked it away from sight, not bothering to read it.

After a few minutes of napping on his beloved chair, he opened one of his eyes when he overheard Belphegor's and Fran's conversation.

"Ne, senpai, have you read the letter?" Xanxus heard Fran say monotonously.

"Ushishishi, the prince does not read letters that he deems unworthy of attention." It looks like almost all of them hadn't read the letter, oh well. It probably was nothing urgent anyway.

"Ha ha, more chances for me then. K bye." Fran monotonously said, although what he said gained more attention. He started walking, but paused when he heard Belphegor say, "Ushishishi, what was that, Froggy?"

"Nothing, Bel- sempai."

Fran tried to disappear, but before he had the chance to, Xanxus slammed his door open. The two Varia members were shocked, but only-oh-so-slightly. They looked at him in question as Xanxus searched for the letter that he kicked.

Once he found it, Xanxus immediately ripped the envelope open, and read it. He tossed it to Belphegor before entering his room again, smirking.

"Ushishishi, the prince is excited!" He heard his Storm shout. Xanxus just haruumphed and just sipped on his wine, it seems that his life will get more interesting as they fight for Decimo's hand in marriage.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" The shout was so loud, that people who passed by thought that, the shout was heard all over Namimori.

"No, no, no. What the fuck was Reborn-san and Nono-san thinking?! They can't possibly do this." A silver haired man muttered over and over as he paced in his room. "I have to protect Jyuudaime." He read the letter again, to make sure that he read it right. He sat down, trying to calm his mind.

...

Gokudera was furious, not only that people (read: sexual predators) are out on the prowl for his dear boss. He can't possibly protect his precious boss alone. 'At least I have time to prepare.' His mind added. He has to find someone that is not after his lovely boss' chastity, but who?

He paced inside his apartment, muttering, "Those fucktards will be sorry if they flirt, much less seduce, Jyuudaime."

He smirked when a certain person enters his mind. He immediately put on his shoes and ran towards a familiar family-owned shop.

"OI, yakyuu-baka!"Gokudera shouted as he entered the shop, startling some of the costumers. Ignoring the glares and hushed mutters about how disrespectful he was, he went towards Yamamoto Takeshi.

"I want you to join me." Gokudera blurted out, his face serious and lips pursed, expecting a positive answer. He's so sure that with the man's obsession, Yamamoto never liked women (and men) sexually.

But when Yamamoto blushed, Gokudera raised one of his eyebrows, "Well?"

"A-ahahaha, I never thought you liked me that much, Gokudera." Yamamoto looked away; not looking at Gokudera's reddening face. "But, I'm sorry… I don't swing that way." Yamamoto continued.

"N-NOT LIKE THAT, IDIOT!" The silveret retorted, his face red as a cherry.

"Huh?"

"I just want you to join me in protecting Jyuudaime! You must have read the letter, haven't you?!"

"Ahahaha. What letter, Gokudera?" Yamamoto asked, scratching the back of his head.

"The one about Jyuudaime!"Gokudera was already hysterical.

"I don't know about that, ahahaha!"

It seemed that he had not read the letter.

"…" Gokudera was silent. He looked at Yamamoto who was searching through the multitude of letters.

"Uhm, this one was from Sakura-san, then Miki-san, uhm I think this was from Camellia-san… Oh! Is this it, Gokudera?" Yamamoto showed the familiar envelope with the Vongola insignia. Gokudera nodded, biting back the insult that was forming.

A few moments later after Yamamoto read it, he almost dropped the letter in shock when Gokudera suddenly shouted, "We must protect Jyuudaime! And you, yakyuu-baka, WILL help me in protecting Jyuudaime!"

They were inside Takeshi's room, after Tsuyoshi-san pushed them outside the shop for being so noisy. After placing the letter on his table, he sat down on his bed. He started drinking the tea that his father brought upstairs, Yamamoto looked at Gokudera, the first (self- appointed) member of the angels.

"We must stay with him, at all times! Who knows when those bastards will attack?!" Gokudera muttered, pacing again but now in Yamamoto's room.

"Maa maa, calm down. I'm sure that Tsuna will be safe until September." Yamamoto commented, putting down his now- empty cup.

"Che, I doubt it."

"Good morning." Tsuna yawned, walking towards his friends who were outside his house, shouting a goodbye to his mom and his 'siblings' as they all left, starting to walk towards school.

"Good morning, Jyuudaime! Are you feeling well?" Gokudera, as usual, fretted over Tsuna's health. He mentally thought, 'Good… It seems that the demons have not yet started attacking.'

"Ahaha! Good morning, Tsuna!" Yamamoto greeted his best friend.

"I'm okay, Gokudera. How about you guys?" Tsuna looked at his storm and rain guardians, his best friends. He was answered with:

"Of course, Jyuudaime!"

"Yep!"

Tsuna hummed in reply, and then they started talking about their weekends. They continued talking until they were in front of the Namichuu gates, Gokudera and Yamamoto stiffened when they saw Hibari Kyouya reading the letter, holding the envelope with the Vongola insignia.

Hibari put it in his pocket after reading it. A feral smirk was evident on his face, making him feel more dangerous. Students were shivering in fear as they walk past him.

Hibari looked around for any students breaking the rule. His smirk grew larger as he laid his eyes on Tsuna, and he walked towards them.
