Karkat's ear twitched. He didn't know why he had suddenly woken up in the middle of the night when he heard it. A sickly sound that scared him for no reason other than it sounded like Nepeta.

Nepeta. Just thinking about her gave him a warm fuzzy feeling. It had been a month since he had revealed his feelings, and saved her life. Their matespritship was as young as it was strong, one that neither half of the party planned to ever break.

Karkat shifted, sitting on his bed, the night air warm in the hold of summer. He dragged himself upwards, opened the door to his room, walking to the bathroom.

Opening it, he immediatley went to the side of the small figure crouched over the toilet.

"Nep, you okay?"

The small troll turned to her matesprit, her head pounding and throat burning. She opened her mouth to croak out reassurance when her jaw tightened as her esophogus constricted. Her tounge feeling like it was backing up, Nepeta whipped her head as another wave of vomit spewed into the toilet.

Karkat's eyes widened, but he held to her shoulders, catching the wispy strands of hair that threatened to fall into her face, murmuring softly.

As soon as the spewing was over, Nepeta slumped down, Karkat catching her.

"Jegus Nep, how long has this been going on?"

"About ten mewnutes, give or take."

Nepeta did not feel too good. That was the sixth, and hopefully last, spew of bile she had unceremoniously dumped into the toilet. She felt empty, shaky, and cold despite the warm air. She barely registered Karkat's grip tightening around her, or the feeling of movement, or smell the change in scent, until she felt a bed beneath her and Karkat next to her.

"Karkitty, wha-"

"Keeping you close in case you throw up again." Karkat muttered. His cheeks were burning; both of them were wearing summer pajamas, him a pair of boxers, her a tight tee and very short shorts. There wasn't much separating them.

Nepeta did not care, and snuggled into him. Karkat felt her shaking and put an arm around her. Each was calming to the other, and they fell asleep rather quickly.

That was the way Equius found them in the morning.

PLW: Soo, yeah. Little thingy that I did based on my own spewing episode that occured a couple minutes before writing this.

And I apologize for not posting stuff recently. I have anxiety issues that lead to sleeping problems, and I have not had alot of sleep recently. I actually had my mom sleep with me because it was so bad. Don't go teasing me, it's just that, like Nepeta and Karkat were for each other, she's real calming cause, she's my mom.

I don't own anything, Andrew Hussie does. And I apologize for my horrible attempt at cat puns.
