As Raph became familiar with his surroundings, he realized he was in space. The rather small windows revealing the midnight black space outside of the massive ship. The next thing he noticed was that he was wearing clothes. A black body suit with a loose neck for covering his mouth and nose, black fingerless gloves, and black boots covered him. There were also pieces of armor on his shoulders, arms, legs, and hands. It felt strange but he was not against it. As he turned around he noticed the final major change: everyone was animals. All types of species were walking around on their hind legs. Suddenly another turtle was running towards him. This one was wearing a lab coat and it was soon clear it was Donnie.

"Raph you won't believe what has just happened!"

"Did April finally agree to go out with you?"

"Who's April?"

"You know, your human girlfriend."

"Human? Raph, the only girlfriend I've ever had is Jhanna. We've been together for sixteen months. Anyways, what I actually wanted to talk about wa-"

"You have a girlfriend?"

"….Yeah. We all do. So anywa-"

"What about our, you know?"

"Your temper, Leo's perfectionism, and Mikey's everything?"

"Not what I was going for."

"Do you honestly not remember the girls?"

"Uh, just refresh me."

"Okay. Mona Lisa is a mutant lizard biologist that is dating Leo. In some occasions, she works with me in the laboratory. She's highly intelligent. Speaking of high intelligence, I'm with Jhanna. She's an alien warrior who freed her people from their evil ruler. She's amazing. And Mikey managed to swing a princess."

"Wait, Mikey's dating a princess?!"

"Not exactly. When we helped save her universe he fell head over heels for her. And it's obvious Trib likes him too, but she's making him work for it."

"Hm, imagine that. But wait, you said I'm dating someone?"

"Man you must have hit your head pretty hard. I can't believe you forgot about Alopex."

"Alopex?"

"Dude, do I really have to tell you how you met your OWN girlfriend?"

"I hit my head and I need you to jog my memory."

"Shouldn't you go see a doctor?"

"Aren't you pretty much one?"

"Fair enough." Donnie led Raph to a convenient sofa overlooking one of the many windows on the ship. "You're Raphael Hamato. You live on this ship, Stargate 8814, with me, the rest of our family, and thousands of species. You're a prison containment officer. About a year ago, an innocent artic fox came into your facility. She claimed to be a blamed for one of her former teammate's crimes. You believed her and helped prove her innocence. And you've kind of been dating her ever since."

"Wow."

"So you remember now?"

"Yeah sure."

"Okay then, come on."

Donnie dragged Raph to another wing of the ship. A darker area was guarded by two triceratops and Donnie flashed both his and Raph's personnel badges to let them in. The room behind the door looked like a mix between a prison and a laboratory. There was a small crowd at the end of the hallway and Donnie continued to drag Raph toward it. Once there, the brothers were recognized and brought to the front by a larger triceratops.

"Ah Professor and Agent Hamato, I'm glad you could make it. Well gentlemen," he said as he gestured toward the crowd. "This could be the day that the Gods have picked to test us. As some of you may know, we have just received a very dangerous prisoner. We assume that it is a female. And we would also like to let you know that it is in fact…..a human." There were audible gasps in the crowd. Raphael wondered what all the fuss was about. Then he remembered: this ship inhabited solely by animals. Interesting: a universe where animals are the dominant species. The guards behind the triceratops reached for the door and revealed a completely white room with a plexi-glass wall revealing another room. The crowd migrated into the room and Raph was pushed to the front again.

"Are we ready Commander Traax?"

"Yes," ansered the triceratops. "Now this prisoner is extremely special. She is lethal and can be provoked easily, so please refrain from doing so." He paused to talk into his communicator. "Bring her in." The doors in the containment center opened and a young girl was pushed in. Her hands were bound by a large metallic cylinder acting as handcuffs. Her hair was black with streaks of purple and she had a nose ring. Her skin was pale and a high tech device was attached to her left eye. Raphael soon realized who the prisoner was supposed to be. It was Irma. She stared up at her audience, stopping at the red turtle. Her face flashed quickly to reveal a sense of alarm and vulnerability. Upon seeing his prison badge her eyes cut back to a menacing slit. "Thank you for attending our presentation and being concerned for the safety of our community." The crowd began to thin out, and before Raph knew it, Donnie was gone. He had to find out more about this Irma.

"Commander Traax, have you cross-examined the prisoner?"

"I was waiting on my best agent to take care of the job."

His pat on the shell signaled to Raph that he was talking about him. "Follow me." The two walked towards a hallway with even more guards than before. As they entered the hallway, Raph noticed that every inch of the walls were taken up by doors. There were no windows on the doors either. The prisoners were completely cut off from civilization. Traax stopped at one particular door and turned to Raph. "I-19's all yours, Agent." Raph used his I.D card to open the door. There was another big room, but it was cut in half by a piece of plexi glass. One side for the prisoner. One for the agent. She was sitting in the middle of her container in a meditating stance. She opened her eyes at the sound of the door. Her peace was interrupted. She scowled at Raph as he sat down at the small desk in front of the cell.

"Prisoner I-19."

"Call me whatever you want." Her voice was just like Irma's.

"Says here you are charged with robbery and assault."

"Yes."

"Why's that?"

"Because your guards caught me."

"But why did you do it?"

"Why do people steal?"

"To feed themselves."

"Not always."

"So you're saying you have a family that you have to provide for?"

"Me? No. I'm the sole provider for a human clan a few planets down."

"How small?"

"About one thousand."

"You feed one thousand people by stealing from this ship?"

"Not just this one. A few others down the way. This is just the first time I've been caught."

"As much as I admire your Robin Hood complex, I cannot condone this kind of behavior."

"No disrespect Officer, but what else was I supposed to do? No food can grow on my planet. Where else can I find it?"

"You could have asked us for a generous donation."

"Ha! Since when have you ever been willing to hand out donations to humans?"

"What do you mean?"

Raph was getting somewhere, but he had to be careful. This Irma looked like she was nearing the end of her patience.

"I mean that your kind have never been one to show compassion. You call us freaks and reject us like we're toxic. You put up signs and tell your children horrible stories about us."

"Now hold up wa-"

"Do you think I like the way I look? If I had the chance, I would change, but I'm not that lucky!" She broke down as her upper torso hit the floor. Her black body suit heaved as Raph heard quiet whimpers from the floor. He got out from behind the desk and crouched down to face Irma. He sat in front of her waiting for her face to emerge. "I just want to be normal." She emerged from her pile and tears stained her glass like skin.

"I know how you feel," Rap responded.

"How?"

"I just do." Raph got up and walked to the almost invisible door to the right. He scanned his card, placed his thumb to the fingerprint scanner, and entered the room. Irma started to back away but Raph extended a gloved hand towards her. "I'm not going to hurt you." She stopped moving and stood her ground, shoulders straight and chin extended proudly. "You think you're foul and horrible, but you're not. We're all the same. What's on the outside matters too much to this society." He stepped closer and reached for her hair. She flinched but relaxed at his touch. His fingers ran through the black and purple strands. His other hand reached for her hand as the opposite one reached for her cheek. He held up their hands. "You're different. And I'm different. And it is possible for two oddballs to make an even, isn't it?" She smiled as he recited the words she had spoken when they'd first met. He felt it applied to this situation well. He reached for her face with his other hand as he let hers fall.

"Wait."

"What?"

"You don't want me. I'm emotional baggage."

"I can handle it."

He moved closer as he shut his eyes. The last thing he saw was her eyes closing and her lips. And it was suddenly dark. Nothing. Then he saw something. The ceiling to his room. A dream. Raph sat there composing what it all meant. He was sweating and breathing heavily. He grabbed his mask and pulled it tight against his eyes. He had come to a conclusion: it was time.

Yay Dream Sequences! I wanted to write a bit about Irma and Raph switching places and seeing how the other half lives. And I thought it'd be cool to feature an animal-dominant world similar to the one in the 2003 cartoon. And yay at all the 80s, 2k3, and IDW references! If you caught them all, I love you eternally! Sorry this took so long, I wanted to make it good. Hope you like it, and reviews are always appreciated! :)
