Hey fellas! So I was thinking that I needed to rewrite this fanfic! I still plan on keeping most of it the same, just changing several things because I know I could have written it better. I had such big plans for this fanfic, don't worry I'll continue the story after I rewrite the chapters. Anyway...
My OC is Bella Tycoon, I just thought it had a nice ring to it, I dunno why honestly.
She's a member of the Cooper Gang, met Sly, Bentley and Murray in the orphanage after her parents died. I might go into a better back story of her later.
She has long, straight auburn hair, but her fur I guess would resemble Sly a bit. Like a gray-ish color. Her eyes are also blue, she's about 5'5.
I was seeing my life flash before my eyes for the very first time. I recall before Sly went missing that it was something quite remarkable, indescribable almost.
Past adventures...the things we went through to defeat Clockwork, to get to the Cooper Vault...
Which brings my mind to that one question...
How the hell did I end up here?
FLASH!
I finished my drink and put down the cup, tugging the hat I was wearing further down to cover my face in hopes to not get recognized.
"Hey bartender! Another round please!" I yelled.
I tried to push back memories of Sly as I reached for my new drink. I always felt a sense of panic these days, I could never relax, I was always on edge.
And all because of that day at the Cooper Vault. The memories haunt me.
I took a sip of my beverage, before hearing a familiar ringtone. It was a private cellphone, used only for the Cooper Gang.
Which means that something is wrong...
I quickly answered the call, knowing it had to be important.
"Bella! We've got a problem. A huge problem!" Bentley panicked.
"Bentley!" I snapped. "Calm down. Tell me what's wrong. I haven't seen you for a month and this is how you call me? You've got me worried sick now."
Bentley managed to calm down and didn't answer me for several seconds.
"...just get over to the old hideout. Pronto." Bentley spoke up.
FLASH!
During the time after we left the Cooper Vault, Penelope and Bentley had been there for me through thick and thin. I appreciated their efforts into helping me recover from the loss of Sly. As far as I knew, my best friend Sly Cooper was gone, without a trace. Bentley and Penelope had mentioned to me that they wanted to make a time machine and were in the process of doing so, for what reason I didn't know. After that one call from Bentley, I immediately went to the old hideout in Paris, only for him to explain to me that Penelope was missing, and that the pages from the Thievious Raccoonus were magically vanishing, as if they were erased from history completely. Bentley decided that it was time to use his newly built time machine and go into the past with Murray to fix history. I volunteered to go, knowing they'd need help, but Bentley only panicked for some unknown reason, telling me to stay with Dimitri. Dimitri was going to be watching over the Thievious Raccoonus for safety reasons, and wanted to me to stay with him.
I mean, leave Dimitri alone with something that important? No thank you.
Of course I was suspicious with Bentley's behavior, but I figured it was because he only wanted me to be safe.
FLASH!
"What's got ze Belles lookin' super blue?" Dimitri asked.
I faintly smiled from Dimitri's little nickname for me, but I couldn't stop feeling so overwhelmed and worried with everything that was going on. Sly was still missing, and now something this precious to him was fading away. It was like someone wanted to erase the Coopers family line from history completely. I hadn't seen so much hatred since...
Clockwerk
"This whole thing is bothering me...why would someone go after the Coopers? I wish Sly were here..." I sighed.
Dimitri frowned and seemed nervous, unsure of what to say.
"I'm sure the crackerbox is okay. Uh...wherever he is." Dimitri scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
I glanced at Dimitri suspciously, taking note that he was sweating a little bit.
"Is there something about this situation that you know of that I don't? Did Bentley want you to hide something from me?" I asked.
Dimitri perked up smiling nervously as he hugged me.
"Oh Belles...You've got nothin' to stress over. Dimitri was just made aware from turtle man about your anxiety problemo dealio. I just wanted to make sure you were super fly." Dimitri replied.
"Oh...he told you about that huh?" I chuckled.
"You should go get some coffee, Belles. It might take your mind off of things. Help you relax."
So that's why Bentley didn't want me to go...he didn't think I could handle going with them...
"Yeah...sure." I mumbled softly. "I guess getting coffee is all I'm good for now, isn't it?"
FLASH!
And so one night, I merely went to get coffee for Dimitri and myself, knowing it would be a long night ahead of us. Bentley had a device to communicate with us, and he often contacted us hourly if he could. When I got a glance of a group of rats wearing matching uniforms after being cornered in an alley, I knew I was in trouble. A horrid smell filled my nose and I was face to face with a very famous art collector before I even realized it.
Le Paradox
I knew the guy had a record, but he'd been clean after he was released from prison. I didn't get to question him over what his involvement was in all of this, because I was knocked out and sent back in time through another time machine. An armadillo (or what I assumed was an armadillo, he was bizarre looking) that went by the name Toothpick had caught me not long after I regained consciousness, probably expecting my arrival.
How did Le Paradox come to get a time machine though? I'll have to find out later...
And so here I am, in the old west, falling to my death in a carriage with Carmelita Montoya Fox of all people.
This was the story of my life. Nothing but madness.
I could hear Carmelita's screams filling my ears. I only closed my eyes, fearing the worst, waiting for the inevitable.
I never thought I'd go out like this...
FLASH!
"HEY! Leave them alone, you loser!"
I pushed the bully to the ground, glaring at him with hatred and disgust. Who just picks on some kids like that?
"I had that!"
The young raccoon glared at me as he picked up his cane using it to hurt his attacker as he ran away. I helped up a young turtle from the ground as well, knowing he shaking like a leaf.
"Yeah, looks like you had that all under control." I said sarcastically.
"Shut up!"
"Sly stop it and just say thank you! She didn't have to help us." The turtle snapped.
Another friend of theirs I assumed, a hippo, came over with a chewed up apple in his hand.
"What did I miss?" He smiled.
"Nothing..." Sly grumbled. "Let's just go, guys."
"Wait...you're that new girl, aren't you? Bella was it?" Bentley ignored Sly.
"Yeah. I just arrived last week. I'm Bella Tycoon" I blushed.
"I saw it in the newspaper. I'm sorry about your parents." Bentley bowed his head.
"It's okay. It wasn't anyone's fault. I...I miss them though. We used to perform the coolest acts." I tried keeping my emotions in check.
Sly perked up at this.
"What did you guys do?"
"We performed in a circus. We were acrobats." I smiled.
Bentley and Sly's faces lit up and they glanced at each other with smirks on their faces.
"You wanna pull a heist with us?" Sly asked.
"A what?"
"We were planning on stealing Mrs. Fields' cookie jar...she makes the best cookies...we could use someone like you. What do ya say?" Sly grinned.
I immediately smiled, happy that someone finally wasn't afraid of confronting me. I was happy that I had made new friends.
"I don't even know you guys." I giggled. "But fine. It's a done deal."
"I'm Sly Cooper."
Sly held out his hand, giving me a friendly smile.
"Nice to meet you Sly."
I shook Sly's hand, not realizing how long our friendship would last.
FLASH!
Suddenly, by a small miracle, we were both pulled out of the carriage in the nick of time, just before it fell off the cliff. I opened my eyes slowly, letting out a shaky breath I'd been holding in the entire time. I nearly keeled over in shock when I noticed the male raccoon before us.
He almost looks...just like Sly...
The male raccoon flashes a dazzling smile at Carmelita as he talks to her. I couldn't stop staring at him, only just trying to process what just happened, and trying to figure out what was going on.
Okay...so I'm back in time...or am I really dead?
"Pleased to meet you ma'am! Why I'm Tennessee Kid- -"
"WAIT! Don't tell me!" Carmelita held up her hand, cutting him off. "You're a Cooper, right? I knew it!" Carmelita snapped.
Tennessee looked surprised at Carmelita's outburst, but shook it off.
"Yes ma'am! Why Bentley told me- -"
"And stop calling me ma'am! The name's Inspector Fox- -wait...Bentley's here?" Carmelita immediately calmed down at the mention of Bentley.
Wait...so Bentley and Murray are here? What the hell?
"Well looks like they're right behind us." Tennessee noticed.
And right above us were the devils themselves.
"Carmelita! I'm REALLY glad you're okay!"
I felt my eyes tear up at the voice and after seeing it for my very eyes, I nearly let out a sob.
It's Sly...
"Wait a minute! BELLA?!" Bentley yelled in shock. "How did you get here?!"
Bentley looked guilty, especially when he saw the tears streaming down my face.
That's why he didn't want me to come...he knew about Sly this entire time...
I snapped out of it immediately after wiping away my tears, holding it together when I noticed a familiar cowardly sheriff coming up behind them.
"Guys! Look out!" I shouted.
"Much obliged for the help, Inspector Fox and Ms. Tycoon! Lemme run these bandidos over to the prison and I'll come back for you all lickety-split!" Sheriff Toothpick and his goons came out and began to handcuff Sly, Bentley, and Murray.
SHIT! HOW DID WE FORGET ABOUT THOSE JERKS?! I should have told them sooner! I was just...in shock...
"If you're all feeling neighborly you can just turn yourselves in! HEHEHEHEHEHE!" Toothpick laughed at us.
I merely stood there, unable to move, unable to think clearly. I was just so surprised, my mind could hardly process what just happened.
Okay...so I'm back in time, Sly's finally back, the van's gone now...why the hell did this have to happen to me?
"Now what would your name be, ma'am?"
I snapped out of my thoughts as the charming raccoon beside me grabbed a hold of my hand.
"I'm...I'm Bella Tycoon." I stammered.
Tennessee kissed my hand as he pulled me closer to him, wrapping an arm around my waist.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Tycoon. A real great pleasure." Tennessee winked at me.
I felt my face heat up from how close the two of us were, and backed away from him immediately. Tennessee blushed as he realized how forward he was being and apologized immediately.
"Sorry about that...it's just been a while since I've been around such a lovely lady." He smiled.
If I recall correctly from my time back at the Cooper Vault...this has to be Tennessee Kid Cooper. I didn't know he was such a flirt though...
"Um yeah...just...you caught me off guard is all, Mr. Cooper." I finally replied.
Tennessee suddenly laughed, taking me by surprise.
Damn...even his laugh is cute...
"Sweetheart, no need to be so formal with me. Mr. Cooper was my pa's name. Call me Tennessee." He grinned.
Tennessee leaned on his gun/cane, feeling a lot more relaxed as he openly flirted with me.
"So Miss Tycoon...do I get a special kiss for saving the damsel in distress?" Tennessee asked.
My eyes widened at his confidence. Never had I ever been so flustered from another man. I didn't know what it was about Tennessee Kid...
But I felt drawn to him...
"Oh what the hell." I rolled my eyes.
I grabbed the front of his vest and pulled him down connecting our lips together. I could feel Tennessee smirk into our kiss as he gently nibble on my bottom lip. I gasped, holding his vest more tightly as his tongue caressed mine. It might have been a few seconds before I finally released him, putting distance between us.
"So...safe house?" I blushed.
"Why of course. This way ladies!" Tennessee winked at us.
Carmelita looked at me suspiciously, and stopped me as Tennessee went ahead a few feet.
"What was that? You do know this is Sly's ancestor, right?" Carmelita asked.
"Well Inspector Fox." I mocked. "Considering how I almost died, I could give two shits right now. It was just a kiss, okay? The man saved my life." I rolled my eyes.
Carmelita glared at me and looked ready to bash my face in, but I could care less about her feelings.
We were enemies...always were, always will be.
Carmelita's glare softened as she let out a sigh. It surprised me, but I held up my guard, prepared to fight her if necessary.
"Look...I'm not here to fight with you. I just want to get back to Paris, so I can go after Le Paradox. He's the real enemy here. I can deal with Sly later. As for the two of us, we need to put our differences aside so that we can work together."
Carmelita held out her hand, waiting for me to shake it as a sign of a truce. I stared at her in surprise, but recovered quickly as I shook her hand. After our hands were linked, I pulled her closer to me, making sure that she knew I meant business.
"If you do anything, and I mean anything to betray my trust, you're dead to me. That goes for the rest of the Cooper Gang. This temporary alliance doesn't mean I've forgotten who you are and what you've done." I warned her.
Carmelita seemed surprised by my threat, knowing that I wasn't really one that made threats that often. She nodded nonetheless, knowing that I meant it. Tennessee stood by, watching the two of us with interest, he looked tense again, probably afraid that we were going to fight each other to the death. After a minute or two, he seemed more relaxed again figuring that we were okay for now.
"Let's get moving, ladies. I suspect that Toothpick will be comin' back anytime now." Tennessee grew serious.
We both glanced at each other one last time, before following Tennessee.
Now it's time to save those troublemakers from prison.
When we finally made it back to Tennessee's hide out, which was in a clock tower, I paced around the room trying to think of a plan.
"Hey! You keep pacing 'round the room like that, you'll put a hole through the floor." Tennessee joked.
I glanced over at Sly's ancestor, our eyes locked on each other.
"Sorry...I got a nervous tick...pacing helps me focus sometimes." I replied.
He merely nodded in understanding and tossed me a pistol. I caught it with one hand and looked at him in confusion.
"I could tell you know how to handle yourself with a gun, so there. You can use it for later." He smirked. "Just don't shoot me."
I returned the smirk and tucked the pistol away in the back of my pants. I held out my hand still.
"You got another pistol?" I asked. "I'm usually good with two. It balances everything out for me...I'm a little OCD."
"OCD? What in tarnation does that mean?" Tennessee looked confused. "You ain't sick are yah?"
I laughed before finally coming up with a reply.
"It's a mental disorder, but it's my way of saying that I'm too organized. I'm a neat freak. I have to be or it'll drive me insane." I explained myself.
Tennessee nodded in understand before tossing me another pistol.
"You sure you can handle two pistols there 'lil lady?" He smirked.
I held both pistols in my hands shooting two spots right on both sides of Tennessee's head.
"AH! GOD DAMN IT!" He yelped.
"That answer your question, Kid?" I chuckled.
Tennessee glared at me for several seconds and I almost assumed he was furious before he burst out laughing again like earlier. I was left confused for a few minutes, wondering what the hell was so funny.
"Man. You're one of the boldest women I've ever met. Aside from your lady friend, Inspector Fox that is." He wiped a tear from his eye. "I like you. You got spunk, girl."
"I ain't no girl." I argued.
Tennessee eyed me up from down and winked at me.
"Yer right about that."
I felt my face heat up.
Jeez. All you Coopers are flirts aren't you?
I coughed and tried changing the subject.
"So you escaped the prison before with the gang?" I asked.
"Sure did. Sly is a quick thinker. Don't know how he does it." Tennessee chuckled.
Well he probably had Bentley's help...
"Maybe we can get in the same way you guys escaped." I suggested. "And we can bust them out and get the hell out of there."
"Sounds like a plan." Carmelita spoke up.
We all glanced at each other before nodding in understanding.
"Let's go save those idiots." I said.
