"Look what I have, Austria." Hungary said proudly, holding the pen up in her thumb and index finger. "With this, we won't have to worry about refilling again! Nor will we have to waste time fretting over ink blots!"
"That all sounds well, but where did you get such a thing?"
"Who cares? What's important is whether it works!"
She turned around and tore a loose leaf from Austria's notepad. Using the new pen, she then wrote her human name slowly and carefully on the page.
"Now you try..." She suggested with a smile, after admiring her own handwriting.
Austria took the page, did the same and was satisfied with the result. He handed the pen and paper back to Hungary, wondering what she planned to do from that point on.
