A/N: Guys, this is it. The very last chapter of my story. First off, I want to say that the word ALWAYS is a very emotional word for Harry Potter fans but this has nothing to do with Snape. This chapter is not an epilogue, for this journey is far from over. I'm already planning a one-shot to go along with it, and there will probably be an sequel and more one or two-shots. I want to thank everyone who's ever even read this story, let alone, followed, favorited or reviewed! I owe you all so much! I'm so happy that I got to write this for all of you, it's something I really enjoy doing! I really hope you read my other stuff, when it comes. Again, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THIS AMAZING EXPERIENCE!
Disclaimer: J.K. Rowling inspires me and she deserves to own Harry Potter.
Draco and Hermione were not very used to having babies around. Though Declan and Roselle were very calm babies, there was at least one cry out of each other them every night. Draco handled the ones closer to morning, Hermione the ones more into the night.
Draco hadn't returned to work yet. The twins were quite a handful. They didn't like to be fed at the same time. Declan would eat his when it was fed to him, but Roselle would refuse it until thirty minutes after Declan ate. Draco tried feeding her in a different room so she wouldn't see Declan was eating, but she was very smart and wouldn't eat for thirty more minutes. Draco found it funny but Hermione was concerned.
Motherhood changed Hermione a bit. She showed her responsible side more often, but she was often more cheerful. Roselle and Declan were happy babies.
By the end of the first month, Draco and Hermione were able to tell which features they had passed down to their babies. Most babies had blue eyes for a long time, but babies in the magical world outgrew the blue eyes very quickly. Like in the muggle world, though, they sometimes kept the blue eyes. It all depended on genes.
Roselle, the spitting image of her mother, had fuzzy, brown hair and big, brown eyes. She was the smaller of the pair.
Declan's hair was like his father's, blond and silky. His eyes were brown, too, like Hermione's. Draco and Hermione could already tell he would be very tall someday.
A few days after the twins' first month, Parvati was rushed to the hospital to give birth. Her labor only lasted two hours, but the baby girl was very small and needed to be checked for much longer than Declan and Roselle. Turns out the baby had a lung problem, but in a few days time, Blaise and Parvati's daughter was healthy, and they were allowed to go home. Ginny, Harry, Draco, Hermione, Ron, Lavender, Roselle and Declan were waiting and get together was similar to when Hermione and Draco had returned home. Akshaya
"Meet Akshaya Padma Zabini!" Blaise cried, rocking his daughter in his arms.
"She's adorable!" Lavender gushed. "I can't wait to have a baby. Sure beats having it in my stomach."
"I can confirm that." Parvati replied.
"So, what's it feel like to be a father?" Draco asked Blaise with a grin.
"Amazing. But you should know." Blaise replied, continuing to rock Ashaya. "I'm really happy she's a girl, and that she looks like Parvati."
"Yeah, it's fun to have a girl." Draco smiled. "But I like having a son more than I thought I would. And it's good that Roselle looks like Hermione. Now I am related to two goregous women."
"Three!" a shrill voice cried from behind Draco.
He turned around to see a smiling Narcissa.
"Mother!" Draco exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"
"You told me I could meet the babies a month or so after their birth, so I'm here!" Narcissa explained.
"At the Zabini's?" Draco asked.
"I saw you leaving, so I followed, but I forgot my scarf, so I had to walk all the way back." Narcissa replied.
"You couldn't just Accio it?"
"No. I am on a no magic diet."
"What?"
"Dear, I'm getting fairly old, soon, I wouldn't be able to do anything without magic. I want to take a break of it before that happens. Anyway, I heard your best friend's daughter was just born. Congratulations, Blaise." Narcissa said turning to Blaise. "Is this her?" she asked, looking at Akshaya.
"Yes." Blaise nodded.
"Well, where are my grandchildren?" Narcissa asked impatiently.
"Right this way." Draco said, taking her arm and leading her towards Hermione, who was holding Roselle, while Ginny was holding Declan.
"Narcissa!" Hermione cried. "So nice to see you!"
"Yes, yes, dear." Narcissa smiled. "Are these my grandchildren?"
"Yeah." Hermione smiled. "In my arms is Roselle Capella, and in Ginny's is Declan Perseus."
"May I hold one?" Narcissa asked.
"Of course. Here's Declan." Hermione said as Ginny handed Declan to Narcissa.
Narcissa grinned. "He has the Malfoy family hair, but those adorable Granger eyes."
Draco and Hermione exchanged a smile.
"How very blessed we all are." Narcissa said sweetly.
Hermione handed her Roselle next.
"She's just darling." Narcissa cooed, rocking Roselle in her arms.
"Glad you think so." Draco said.
"Anyway, I haven't even seen the finished home!" Narcissa told them.
"Would Blaise and Parvati mind if we crash early?" Hermione asked Draco.
"Probably not." Draco shrugged. He went over to Blaise and asked him. When he returned, he said, "It's no problem. They're really tired, too, so this'll be over pretty soon."
"Perfect!" Narcissa said. "Let's walk over!"
Draco and Hermione grinned at Narcissa's no-magic diet.
The five walked back to the house, which wasn't that far away. Narcissa adored it.
"Amazing!" she exclaimed when she strolled into the nursery. "I'm so proud of the both of you."
"Thanks, Mother." Draco smiled.
"Yes, thank you, Narcissa. You always have been so supportive." Hermione commented.
"If my son's happy, I'm happy." Narcissa told her. "Besides, you're a lovely girl. I couldn't have wanted more in a daughter-in-law."
"Thanks." Hermione blushed.
"I should probably be heading back home." Narcissa said. "Would you mind if I take the twins with me?"
"Take the twins?" Hermione asked.
"You two could use a night alone, don't you think?" Narcissa asked. "It must be a lot of work to handle these two, so I'll give you a break. You can get them when you come for tea tomorrow."
"Where will they sleep?" Hermione asked.
"Dear, they already have a nursery in my home." Narcissa smiled.
"Thank you very much for this, Mother." Draco said.
"Of course. I shall love getting to know my grandchildren."
"They already love you." Hermione said as she handed over Roselle and Draco handed over Declan. The twins didn't cry. "They cry for most people, or look at us like we're crazy. Now they just look… curious."
"Well, good." Narcissa said. "I'll be off. Anything they need you can send by Floo or owl."
"Thanks again!" Hermione cried as Narcissa was walking out the door.
"Any time!" she replied swiftly, shutting the door behind her.
"Your mother is so great." Hermione told Draco.
"Well, you're a great mother." Draco replied.
"And you're an amazing father." Hermione said. "It's nice having kids. It connects us in a way, doesn't it?"
"We were always connected, and we always will be."
"Always?"
"Always."
A/N: Thank you to everyone! THANKS SO MUCH!
