Dean took a sip of his beer while Charlie paced around the bunker.
"I'm bored." She groaned.
"Find a book to read." Dean shrugged.
"I don't want to read." Charlie grumbled, walking over to the radio and pressing the power button. Dean jumped as static blasted through the speaker and Charlie turned down the volume. "Sorry."
Dean rolled his eyes and took another sip of beer while Charlie flipped through the stations.
"Up next on B107.3, Cascada with Everytime We Touch!"
"I love this song!" Charlie shouted and turned the volume back up, moving her hips in time with the music.
I still hear your voice when you sleep next to me.
I still feel your touch in my dreams.
Dean watched as Charlie danced closer to him, holding out her hands for him to take. "Oh, no. I don't dance."
"You do now. Come on!" Charlie lunged forward and pulled Dean to his feet, dancing around him. Dean pulled his hands away and stood awkwardly while she twirled around him, hands in the air, belting out the lyrics to the song.
Cause every time we touch,
I get this feeling,
And every time we kiss,
I swear I can fly.
Slowly Dean found himself starting to shuffle awkwardly in place, Charlie grinning in encouragement. He smiled back and started to move his hips, bouncing on the balls of his feet. Charlie let out a yell and he grinned, opening his mouth to sing the lyrics.
Cause every time we touch I feel the static
And every time we kiss I reach for the sky
Can't you feel my heart beat so
I can't let you go
I want you in my life
Finally he gave in completely and he and Charlie danced around each other, laughing and singing at the top of their lungs. It was the most carefree Dean had been in a long time and it felt good to just let go and be silly. By the time the song ended Dean and Charlie were both winded and had began to sweat. They laughed and Dean enveloped Charlie in a hug.
"Thank you." Dean said. "I needed that."
"I know." Charlie said, pulling away and smiling at Dean. Dean smiled back and pressed a kiss to the top of her head.
"I love you."
"I know." Charlie walked back over to the stereo and changed the station to a classic rock station. Dean smiled and settled back into his chair with his beer, smiling at the energetic redhead, who had turned out to be the little sister he didn't know he wanted.
