Hello everyone! I'm actually just re-doing the first chapter, so it will be better. Sorry I haven't updated in about... *Takes out calender* 3 months! *Looks around nervously.* Don't kill me!

I am also changing some of the things 'round a bit. Takes place before PP and somewhere before the last TT episode. Sorry if I get any TT facts wrong. I don't watch it as much as DP. If I get anything wrong, just ignore it.

Danny, currently in his human form, stared around the room reticently. It was a large simulation room, with all white walls, except for a large observation window on the right side of him. A few scientists in clean white lab coats were staring at him as well, some taking notes on the clipboards they were holding.

Danny, or subject 341, (as they liked to call him.) tugged lightly on the metal collar fastened around his neck. It gave off a small warning beep, which stopped Danny from his tugging. He knew what that sound meant, and he did not like it.

One scientist looked up from her notes and slightly smiled at him, but Danny looked away. All the people here had shown him fake care or love. They just wanted to know more about him. Why did they need to know? How will it help them in any way?

The same woman turned around and spoke to the man in charge. Danny didn't know his name, but it wouldn't change anything. He watched as she mouthed the most common words spoken around here.

'Send it in.'

Danny sighed and open his blue eyes, standing up shakily. He knew what going to happen next. And, like everything in this place, he did not like it. He felt a shock from the collar, and he gritted his teeth, before he summoned the two white rings that would transform him. They traveled up and down his body, changing the teen into a ghost. His black hair turned into a pure white, and his blue eyes glowed emerald green.

Danny turned towards the doors and watched quietly as they swiftly opened. He floated nonchalantly in place, looking at the figure of the girl uninterested. She stared around the room curiously, but obviously frightened. Soon, her eyes came to rest on Danny, and her eyes widened.

"Hello?" the strange girl called, jumping into the air, and floating.

Is she a ghost? Danny thought, staring blankly at her. But she doesn't look like a ghost, and she obviously is not human...

"Hello?" she said again. The girl was now right in front of him, actually looking concerned. She must be new. Danny shook his head and opened his mouth for the first time in a long while.

"Who are you?" he asked hoarsely. Danny was surprised to see the girl smile brightly. I've never seen anyone smile here. Unless it's fake. He was about to grin back, but he felt the collar start vibrating.

"I am Starfire!" The girl said. She opened her mouth to say more, but was cut off when Danny tackled her to the ground. He had to. He didn't want to go through the pain of the collar again. He could hear her protests, but he just flew off of her and created an ecto-blast. He shot it towards her and it slammed into Starfire's side. She cried out and, to Danny's surprise, summoned her own ecto-blast?

Danny dodged her own blast and quickly looked at the scientists, who were writing down notes about their battle. He looked back up just in time to dodge another shot. Stupid!

"Please, I do not wish to fight you." Starfire said, her green eyes looking into his sadly. Danny shook his head. He knew that he would be punished for saying this.

"I have no choice." he replied, before he created a powerful blast and aimed it at her. Why isn't she moving out of the way?

Starfire studied him quietly for a moment, as if waiting for him to shoot. Danny just stared into her eyes. She wants to see if I would really do it. He sighed, and lowered his arms, causing the green light to go out in his hands. He couldn't. Danny floated down the ground, and sat down, his hands flopping into his lap. It would only be a matter of time before the guards would come and take them to their cages.

He ignored Starfire as she landed in front of him. He could feel her eyes watching him, but he made no move to get up.

"I'm sorry, friend." she said. Danny laughed halfheartedly.

"You have nothing to be sorry for. I let them use me." He said, turning away from her and watching the door. "Just don't get the people here angry, and you'll be fine."

"But why do you listen to them?" Starfire asked, confused. She didn't understand yet.

"I have no choice." Danny repeated the same words as before. He couldn't escape. He couldn't get help. No one cared.

"But I-" Starfire started to say, but them the door slammed open. Four guards came in with tasers, each wearing protective gear. They didn't say a word as two jumped on Starfire, holding her down as they cuffed her hands together and roughly placed a collar on her neck. They attached a metal leash to it and dragged her to her feet, ignoring her protests.

When they grabbed Danny, they didn't even have to cuff him. They knew he would not fight back. What was the point? He wouldn't be able to get out of the building with the ghost shield around it. One guard pressed a button on a remote, and Danny was forced back painfully to his human form, causing Starfire's eyes to widen and cease her protests.

They attached a leash to his collar, and yanked him roughly out of the room. One guard smirked and kicked Danny's shin. Danny closed his eyes and gritted his teeth. If he cried out, his punishment would be worse then it was going to be

Starfire did not get punished yet, but Danny knew that she would be. No one can escape their punisments. No one can escape this place.

Danny had not seen Starfire for a few days. Which was expected, since he had not seen many of the 'subjects' after he fought them. His punishment had not been as bad as he thought it would be. He had not received any food for only two days. And he had gotten water.

Was Starfire okay? There was something... different about her. She wasn't part-animal or a lab experiment, like most subjects here. She was like him, captured and experimented on. Starfire was new, and it was obvious. She wouldn't have disobeyed the scientists. She wouldn't have protested when they put on the collar and leash.

Danny jerked his head up when he saw the lead scientist walk up to his cage. She smiled coldly and knelt down next to him. She unlocked the cage and stuck her hand into it.

"Hello, little pet." she said, rubbing his hair. Danny looked away, and bit his lip. "I have a treat for you." Food?! Danny stared up again, smiling lightly. He was so hungry. "Only if you do a trick for me."

She stood up and attached a leash to his collar, and yanked him to his feet. Danny knew where they were going even before they got there. The simulation room.

"I need you to test out a new feature for me, little pet." the woman said, pulling him through the door. Danny heard the 'click' and he was released into the white room. He turned around just as she closed the door. She soon was seen sitting in the observation room, as always, with her clipboard.

'Run the test'

Another one of the only statements he could read off their lips. Danny saw one of them press a button, and he held his breath, looking around the room. It was only then that he noticed the pipes, and the large drain on the floor. He gasped as the room started to fill up with water. In a matter of minutes, it was up to his knees. Then his chest. His neck.

Danny transformed and tried turning intangible, but the water was still on him. Then he saw how it was slightly glowing, and he mentally cursed.

Then it went over his head.

Danny held his breath, but soon had the urge to breathe. He started to feel light-headed, and he couldn't take it anymore. Right when he was about to give in, he heard the sound of the water draining.

Then he was 'rewarded' with beautiful air. He coughed up the water and took in unsteady breaths while treading, barely staying at the surface. Once it was finally all drained out, Danny found himself on his hands and knees, still coughing. He didn't notice the lead scientist walking in, until she was kneeling beside him.

"Good job, pet." she said, clipping on the leash. "The new feature works." She lead him back to his cage, pushing past all the scientists. She grabbed a couple apples on the way there, and Danny stared at them hungrily. She threw them into his cage, smirking as she watched him staring impatiently at them. She unclasped his leash, and he slowly climbed into his cage. Danny grabbed his apples and shoved them into his mouth, chewing hungrily.

"Goodnight!" The woman said creepily, before walking to the door and shutting off the light, leaving Danny alone in the darkness.

By the way, Danny is OOC on purpose. KK? Sorry if any facts are wrong too.

Does anyone have a better name for this fanfic?
