The Love of a Lycan Ch. 1

Hermione stood among the throng of students outside of the main enterance to Hogwarts. Today was the arrival of the four other schools for this ridiculous tournament. Proffessor Dumbledore had informed the students at the beginning of the term that they were hosting the famous International Wizarding Tournament. Now two weeks later the staff had all the students huddled along the walkway under stormy skies waiting for their guests to arrive. The weather was unusually cold and the clouds were nearly black as night threatening an unforgiving rain. Her friends stood to her side just as eager to see the other schools as she but for different reasons. Her best friend Harry was looking forward to seeing how the schools differed from Hogwarts, while her other friend Ronald just wanted to see if there was any "hot birds" as he called them.

"When the bloody hell are they going to show up?" Hermione rolled her eyes at Ronald's crude language. "I'm bloody hungry!" With a sign she turned to the foul mouthed red head. "Honestly Ron, watch your language, and you wouldn't be hungry if you hadn't overslept and made if to breakfast on time." Harry snickered as the two continued to argue about Ron's lack of motivation to do anything productive. The arguement was suddenly cut off by a student shouting about something in the sky. Hermione turned her attention upwards and quickly spotted a beautiful, sky blue carriage heading towards them. She saw that the carriage was being pulled by 6 large, white horses that she identified as Abraxons. Hermione stared in awe with the rest of the Hogwarts student body as the carriage landed softly on the ground, stopping perfectly aligned with the pathway to the door. A silence fell over the crowd as the door to the carriage opened. The first to exit the carriage was a huge woman, who easily stood 9 to 10 feet tall. She wore expensive looking robe with odd feathers around the collar. Her hands were displaying a wide expensive array of jewelry as well. Harry leaned towards Hermione to whisper, "do you think that all the students are as big as her?"

Hermione couldn't help the giggle that slipped out at his statement. She certainly hoped they were not like the woman, at least maintenance wise, Hogwarts definitely had enough snobby rich kids thank you very much! Luckily the female students that followed their headmistress were certainly not as tall as the giant and far more beautiful. Though they certainly looked just as snobby. As the students from the carriage huddled together after exiting, Hermione saw one particular student exiting last that caught her attention. A beautiful platinum blonde with piercing blue eyes and a hell of a sexy body stepped out, taking in the crowd around her before joining her classmates. The Beauxbatons group quickly made their way into the school and the Hogwarts students returned their attention to look for the next school to arrive. Hermione let her mind wander as she waited going over what she knew of each school. There was Beauxbatons from France, Durmstrang from Bulgaria, Yataki Musho Academy of Japan, and Salem Academy of North America. Each school was hailed as the premier school of their area, each unique in their styles and schooling. Ronald continued his complaining as they waited for the next school to arrive. Hermione shook her head in exasperation at him. Honestly, the boy never stopped complaining, whether it was about being hungry or the homework (which he always begged her to do for him since he wouldn't until it was time to turn it in.)

Shortly after Durmstrang and Yataki arrived the unforgiving sky finally opened up it downpour. Though the ships they arrived on were impressive the students and their headmasters were less so. Hermione tried to fight off the shivers as she huddled closer to her friends for warmth. She had even stopped telling Ron to watch his language as she was beginning to agree with his complaints. She was cold, tired, and beginning to get hungry herself. Suddenly a thunderous clap of lightning deafened and blinded the group of students, causing some to cry out in alarm. As Hermione tried to blink the spots out of her eyes she could make out that a large group suddenly stood at the end of the walkway. Once her vision cleared she noted that the Headmistress of the school stood in front of her students and they were looking around in mild curiosity. Just behind the Headmistress stood the most beautiful girl Hermione had ever seen. She was tall, standing at atleast 5'9 but not in a gangly fashion. Short, spiked, silver hair sat on top of a beautiful face. Silver eyes, the like of which Hermione had never seen, looked around at everything easily taking in their surroundings. Full, kissable lips offered an easy, yet cocky, smile. Hermione's eyes kept traveling down this angel's body, appreciating the toned muscle on display through the soaked yet skin tight shirt that hugged her generous bust and oh so sexy abs. As the last school began making their way inside out of the rain Hermione could have sworn that the mysterious angel locked eyes with her for a moment, and she also could have sworn that she saw them glow briefly.

Once the guests were all in the school, the Hogwarts students were finally allowed to head back inside to the dining hall. Hermione was grateful to finally be able to warm up and waited as Dumbledore announced each school to everyone. She noted that Durmstrang sat at Slytherin, Yataki at Hufflepuff, Beauxbatons at Ravenclaw, and to her delight Salem was heading to Gryffindore. She was even more delighted as the silver haired angel was heading straight towards her. As the sexy woman sat down right next to her Hermione felt her mouth go dry.

"Hi I'm Kari," the angel introduced as she began fixing a plate. Hermione smiled warmly, "hi, my name is Hermione. Welcome to Hogwarts. These are my friends Harry, Ron, and Neville." Kari nodded to each one as Hermione introduced them, though she grimaced slightly at Ron stuffing his face. Hermione couldn't help shaking her head at him. Kari smiled again as her eyes returned to Hermione then continued eating her dinner. Hermione couldn't help but sneak glances at Kari every chance she got, listening as she joked with her own friends. Lord, Hermione could listen to that beautiful laugh for the rest of her life and never tire of it. It wasn't long however that she wasn't the only one to be interested in the silver-eyed goddess. Harry and Ron were staring as well. Harry more so in curiosity, while Ron was clearly crushing almost as hard as Hermione. Once dinner was coming to a close Professor Dumbledore stood once again, gaining the attention of the entire hall. He went over the tournament once more and bid welcome to the other schools. After going over the rules of the tournament and stressing that no underage student may enter the tournament he bid everyone a goodnight. Hermione stood with her friends and they slowly made their way to their dorm rooms. Hermione was exhausted and ready for bed. All the excitement had worn her out. She was also eager for the next time she would get to see Kari which would hopefully be at breakfast. She also wanted to see that blonde from Beauxbatons as well. As Hermione climbed into bed her thoughts swirled around the two women who caught her eye today.

Hermione knew that she was gay shortly after coming to Hogwarts, especially when she began crushing on a 7th year named Tonks. She couldn't help admiring the girl's carefree spirit and sharp wit. It wasn't until third year that she began experimenting and fooling around with others however. Hermione also made sure to not do so with anyone from her own house in fear of her friends finding out. She didn't know how they would react to such news, and she was terrified that they would abandon her for it. Given how the magical world seemed so far behind on the times she wouldn't be surprised on how they viewed homosexuality. With high hopes to see the two angels tomorrow at breakfast Hermione curled up in bed and quickly drifted off to sleep. Dreams filled with silver and blue eyes, warm bodies and sinful sounds.
