Tada! Its up! ENJOY!

Chapter 35

Hyuga eyes clashed with onyx, as their bodies sat still. Many minutes has passed without a word being spoken from their lips, but a few questions that were left unanswered were already answered.

Slowly, two eyelids covered pale eyes and a heavy sigh drew from his lips. The Uchiha almost startled from the unexpected movement. He was so concentrated not to break a sweat, he almost lost his guard.

Hiashi opened his eyes slowly as he reached for the tea that was placed before them many minutes ago.

He drank it silently as Sasuke watched him with dead eyes. But inside his heart felt like it was going to stop any second. He should know what condition he was in...

"So, you want to marry my daughter, correct?" His words shattered the silence as it bounced of the walls of the enormous room.

"Hai," he answered without hesitation.

Hiashi placed his cup back to the wooden table. "I knew the Uchiha were proud people, but you topped off the record."

Sasuke grimaced mentally. "You must've known my father then."

"Yes I have. A man with such pride was not to be taking easily."

"He was the leader of the the Uchiha police force. A duty like that needs pride."

"Yes, indeed," Hiashi spoke as he reached for the cup. "But we're not here to talk about that, aren't we?"

Sasuke didn't answer as Hiashi finished his cup of tea. "I don't know what Hinata sees in you, but she spoke highly of you." Sasuke felt his chest grow lighter. "Even though what you did was unacceptable." His heart slammed hard against his chest. So much for hope.

"As I apologized to Hinata, I also deem responsible to apologize to you. As to her father."

"You've got guts for what you did," Hiashi spoke sternly. Sasuke felt the anger ready to explode on the mans tongue. As the leader, he must have great patience.

"Considering the offer I offered you a while back, why now?"

"Forgive me, but I don't have that answer myself."

"So you went on a whim?"

"...Hai."

Hiashi felt his shoulders slump. Damn this Uchiha, always escaping death by merely holding on to a thin thread.
And now, a despicable copy of the boy sat in front on him, asking Hinata for her hand.

And after what he did to her, he should be kicking him out of the Hyuga compound for life. But seeing his daughter's face when she pleaded mercy to him, he couldn't help but wonder what happened between the two of them.

"I have a few questions, if you don't mind answering, Uchiha Sasuke," he spoke firmly.

Sasuke's brow creased slightly. "Of course."

"The questions I'm going to give you will decide my decision. Any hesitation or lie you tell me will be seen, only full honesty."

"Hai."

Hiashi frowned. "Where do you plan to live if you were married to my daughter."

"The Uchiha compound."

"You've received your estate?" He asked with a trying of surprise.

The raven haired nodded slightly. "Permission by both Hokages."

"I see. Your fortune was returned as well?"

"Hai."

"Did you plan being a full fledged ninja when you returned?"

"I planned in being ANBU."

"Really..." Hiashi mumbled.

"Do you still bear grudges to the leaf village, concerning the massacre of your own clan, or to any of the Hokages?"

Sasuke felt his fists clench on his legs before they slowly relaxed. "I hold nothing to the hokages, but nothing will erase the scar left from my clan."

"Will this interfere with your future life? Do you still have the feeling to avenge?"

"No, it won't happen," he spoke low.

"I see," he spoke. He reached to his side and pulled out a stained scroll, crumpled due to wetness. "I've read through this scroll myself, and the blood stains were positive. But Hinata told me she didn't want the scroll to be the decision of her wedding."

"Yes, that's true."

"Tell me something, Uchiha Sasuke, do you love my daughter?"

"Yes."

"This isn't a joking matter."

"I'm serious."

Hiashi frowned. "Last question. Will you die for my daughter?"

"Is that even a question?" Sasuke questioned back with a serious yet a look of disbelief.

"I need to know that you're risking everything for my daughter. Yet I asked every man that question and all replied yes, but if the time comes, they'll hesitate."

"I'm a different matter."

"How so?"

Sasuke gave out a tiny smiled. "I died didn't I? Protecting her. Is that enough evidence? And I promise you, I'll do it again if I have too.""

Hinata watched the sun set in the horizon, as she leaned her back fully against a cherry oak tree that grew right on top of a hill. She remembered when the tree just began to sprout its fits buds and now it stood higher and sturdier than ever, the pink leaves falling like dancing jewels.

She was anxious, as she kept looking down the hill, watching the tiny buildings of the Hyuga mansion. It's been ten minutes since Sasuke left in there after her approach with her father, yet hers felt like five minutes. One plea and she had her father considering, yet Sasuke still needed his approval.

She sighed as she turned her head back to the beautiful view ahead of her. She felt her tense body relax, as for the first time in a long time, she felt at peace. Even without knowing if Sasuke will be her next husband, she felt happy knowing he'll still be at her side. No one can stop them from loving each other, and if she had to run away just to be with him, she damn will. But she would feel despair if he was disapproved.

She smiled softly as her eyes shut and inhaled the sweet cherry scent. She smelled the trees aroma but her nose crunched at a different scent. The Hyuga's eye plopped open as she swirled to look behind her.

A man with a lightning scent, no doubt about it.

She felt her heart skipping beats as he looked at her, no emotion portraying his face. Hinata swallowed harshly as she took a step to him. "S-so, what did he say?"

Sasuke didn't answer at her question, which brought her heart falling to her stomach. She felt her eyes burn but then, something unexpected happened.

Two arms wrapped possessively around her, as a face buried in her dark locks. She startled from the unexpected gesture and felt immensely confused.

"Sasuke?"

He said nothing at first but one simple, content sigh escaped his lips and Hinata smiled big. A tear slipped from her eye as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to herself.

Sasuke smirked into her neck as he felt her shoulders shake lightly and tried to pull away slowly. She clutched to him and buried her head into his chest, as he had one arm around her and the other gently stoking her head. He placed his head atop of hers and sighed. "It's settled. The wedding's in a week."

He felt her stiffened. "Is it to early?" He asked anxiously.

She lifted her head and smiled one of the most radiant smiles the Uchiha had yet seen. "N-no, it's fine. It's perfect!" She added with a laugh.

Sasuke smiled and kissed her forehead lightly and placed his afterwards. He looked at her as her eyes flutter closed and a soft smile pulled on her lips.

"Finally," she whispered.

Sasuke enveloped his arms around her once again as his eyes shut closed. "Sorry for the long wait," he spoke almost sheepishly in her hair.

He felt her body shake lightly as a laughter tickled his chest. "Will you be saying sorry for the rest of your life?"

"I intend to." He squeezed her tighter to himself. "What I did was out of hand."

She laughed again. "I think your pride is vanishing. Last time I checked an Uchiha was a man who didn't confess to his mistakes." She looked up at him. "A very stubborn man."

He looked at her with a look of seriousness but softened seconds after. "So are you saying I should stay prideful?" He squatted down, placing his back to the tree, and patted to his left for her to sit as well.

When she began squatting, he pulled her to his lap and laid her against his chest. A small eek! escaped her lips from surprise as he pulled his arms around her. He smiled to himself as she began relaxing in his arms. The vicious smell of lavender attacked him and he dug his head into her head.

She heard him sigh in content as a blush dusted her cheeks. "You smell good."

She let out a giggle. "A man needs pride," she said with a quiet mumble but then poked his chest. "Just don't overdo it."

He chuckled and she laughed back. "I mean it," she said with a laugh.

"Alright, Ms. Hyuga, care to tell me what there's to fix about me?"

"Mmm," she thought in a teasing matter. "I'm sure ill think of something."

He smirked as she let out a giggle and rested his head to her shoulder. She let out a deep breath and he felt her melt in his arms.

When he just left the Hyuga compound after speaking with Haishi, he felt like a ton of bricks lifted off his chest. He almost lost composure and strained in a big grin when he shook the Hyuga's hand. Hiashi raised a brow as he watched the Uchiha almost pacing out of the room.

He shook his head in utter disbelief and went to the Hyuga reception. He was in for a great from the elders. They would die from heart failure finding out that the daughter found a suitor. A perfect suitor.

This was unnatural of him. Very unnatural.

The blonde Hokage, dressed in a fine, expensive kimono, sat on the edge of a table, eating a hot bowl of ramen as he watched Sasuke pace back and forth in his living room.

His slurping was the only thing between them that was heard but the dobe even knew Sasuke only heard blood rushing to his brain.

He raised the bowl and drowned the last of the miso soup, and let out a content sigh.

He watched his partner again, slightly amused more so worried. Sasuke never got nervous, it was technically impossible. The Uchiha stopped a few times here and there, looking out the window or taking a shot of sake.

The dobe looked at the clock, it's hands almost reaching twelve. He got off the table and stretched before walking to his friend, who was muttering something about the empty bottle of sake in his hand.

"Sasuke," Naruto called uneasy. He placed a hand on the Uchiha's shoulder and felt him tense.

He turned his head to look at the blonde Hokage, eyes wider than they usually were. "Stop worrying, it's just a ceremony!"

Sasuke turned away from the Uzumaki and let out a sigh. "Damn it, Naruto, it's my fucking wedding. How else am I suppose to act?"

Naruto let out a surprised smile. "Geez, I wasn't even THIS nervous for my wedding. All you got to do is stand there, say "I do", slip the ring, kiss the bride, and wvala! You're married."

Sasuke began pacing to the kitchen and went to the sink. The blonde watched as he spashed water all of his face and then slowly dried it.

"Easy for you to say, you've already done it."

"And I'm still alive aren't I? Anyways," he grabbed Sasuke by the collar and began yanking him from the kitchen. "We're going to be late if I let you to sulk here."

Sasuke straightened up and fixed his wedding kimono, his hands sweaty against the material. The Uzumaki began walking to the door and noticed he wasn't following so he glanced back.

He looked at him worried. "Ne, Sasuke, you seem a little blue."

The Uchiha didn't say anything as he walked past him. The blonde let out an annoyed sigh and shut the door behind him.
