I looked all over this website and found an appalling lack of Marcie/Charlie Brown parings. Time to rectify that.

Peppermint Patty rushed to Marcie's house as fast as she could. It had been a busy day.

Today was the day that Charlie Brown asked the Little Red Haired Girl out on a date. Everybody knew about it. Even Patty and Marcie.

Peppermint Patty knew that Marcie had been in love with Charlie Brown for a long time now. Patty knew that this would break Marcie's heart, but when asked about it, Marcie had said that she only wanted Charles to be happy.

Being her friend, Peppermint Patty went over to Chuck's house to give him a piece of her mind, but when she got there, the situation was not what she expected.

And so, Peppermint Patty went straight to Marcie's house. When Marcie answered the door, she found Peppermint Patty on the steps, out of breath. "Marcie," Patty sputtered out, "get over to Chuck's house. (gasp) I think he could use a friend right about now."

She rejected him.

She fully understood how long he had pined after her, and she rejected him.

Charlie Brown was lying down on his bed replaying the scene in his head. Replaying the exact words that had shattered his heart into a million pieces.

"Sorry. You're sweet and all, but I'm not interested in you like that."

Worst.

Day.

Ever.

"Charles? Are you there?"

Charlie Brown heard the door slam as Marcie walked in. He decided to sit up as she walked in.

"Hey."

"Hey."

"Where's Sally?"

"At school."

"Okay."

"What's up?"

"I heard about how it went with..."

"Oh."

Marcie sat down beside him. "How are you feeling?" she asked.

"Stupid I suppose." Charlie Brown replied without looking at her, "Stupid for thinking about her for all those years. Stupid for thinking I had a chance with her. Stupid for thinking I had a chance with anyone for that matter."

"Don't say that."

"It's true isn't it?"

"No it's not. That little red haired girl doesn't know what she's missing. The truth is you'd be a catch for any girl. You're funny, and smart, and kind, and..."

"And a blockhead. And wishy-washy. You don't have to say all those things to try and make me feel better. I know I'll always be 'Good ol' wishy-washy Charlie Brown.' And who would love a guy like that?"

"I would."

Charlie Brown looked up just as the full impact of what she said found it's way to Marcie's brain and her face turned fifty shades of red. "Y-you would?"

Marcie looked Charlie Brown in the face. In the back of her mind she could hear Peppermint Patty's voice yelling, as loud as it would go, "KISS HIM, YOU BLOCKHEAD!"

So she did.

It was the first kiss for both of them. They could both feel sparks fly into the air like fireworks from Katy Perry's chest. After what seemed like an hour, but was actually a minute, Marcie pulled away.

"Hear this Charles Brown." she said, "Wherever you go in life, whoever you find happiness or sadness with, know that I have and will always love you. Even if you don't return that affection."

Marcie decided that it was a good time to leave. She went towards the door as Charlie Brown sat there in a state of shock.

Were Charlie Brown true to form, he would have stayed that way until Marcie had walked out of his life forever. Leaving him much more depressed than before.

But the universe, for once, was kind. And so, just as Marcie was leaving Charlie Brown snapped out of it in time to call out, "WAIT!"

Marcie stopped. As Charlie Brown ran to her and pulled her into another kiss, three words were going through his head.

Best.

Day.

Ever.

Well, that was it. Like it? Dislike it? Tell me about it in a review. If you have any suggestions for stories, I'm looking to expand my repertoire, so PM me.
