Jack goes to see Jamie after the eggs are smashed. He makes him believe again but flies off to Antarctica before the Guardians catch up to him.

There he fights Pitch and his staff gets snapped.

Jacks POV

Jack had just finished watching the memory of him saving his sister. His brain felt like it was set on freeze while he tried to comprehend his past life. Jack felt so tired that he leant on the side of the crevasse and immediately fell asleep.

Jack woke to the sound of yells and screams. He blearily opened his eyes. He felt a sharp pain in his wrists.

The four Guardians and Jamie were standing in front of him. Tooth and Jamie had their hands over their mouths- they must have screamed. Jack realised he was knelt on the ground. He tried to get up but found his arms were chained to two posts either side of him. That explained the pain in Jack's wrists.

Jack struggled to get free and he heard laughter behind him. He hung his head. Pitch.
Pitch must have tied him up when he had fallen asleep. An image of his sister crept into his mind. Jack felt a tear escape down his cheek and the Guardians gasped.
Pitch jerked his chains backwards and laughed as Jack cried out.

3rd Person POV

The Guardians took a step towards Jack but Pitch punched Jack. Jack was thrown to the ground in a kneeling position.

"Not another step!" Pitch snarled.

Pitch tried to haul Jack to his feet by his chains. Unfortunetly, Jacks feet had fallen asleep and he couldn't move them fast enough. Jack cried out as his knees slammed into the road.

Pitch laughed and started criticising the Guardians. He laughed and jeered – until Jack gave a sniff. Everyone's eyes flashed to look at Jack and saw tears were falling down the winter sprites face.

"Well well" crowed Pitch, "not so tough now are you?"

The Bogeyman leaned close to Jack, "If you hadn't fought for the Guardians" Jack flinched' "you wouldn't be in this position would you?"
Jack leaned away from Pitch with his eyes focused on the ground.

Jacks shoulders were shaking and tears were dripping off his face and landing frozen on the ground.

Everyone was wondering, what had Pitch done to Jack to make him cry like this? What had happened before pitch bought him to Burgess?

Pitch leaned forward until his face was centimetres from the winter spirits. "They don't care about you Jack, no one does"

Pitch kept taunting Jack. He stayed right in Jack's face watching his tears.

Suddenly Jack looked up. His ice blue eyes flashing with anger and loathing. In the same instant, Jack wrenched his wrists out of the chains, and brought his head down on Pitch's with a mighty THWACK! Pitch reeled backwards and Jack grabbed his staff. No longer sobbing, Jack attacked the dazed man. He pinned him down with ice and turned to the Guardians. He threw Jamie a snowball and said, "Anyone else want to beat up Pitch?"

"H-how?" Tooth stuttered, "w-what?"
Jack sighed, "You can't defeat Pitch without me and you couldn't free me, so I had to get myself outta that mess. Any other questions?"

Tooth started stuttering again while the others looked on confused, "B-but you were c-crying..."
Jack smirked, "I am a very, good actor"

Bunny finally recovered, "Don't EVER do that again! You hear me? Never!"
Jack smirked even wider, "Were you worried about me Cottontail?"
Bunny took a swipe at Jack, "In your dreams Snowflake"
Jack laughed.

He froze ice around his wrists to protect them and the Guardians got into their fighting stances as Pitch got back to his feet.
The immortales charged and Jamie threw snowballs.
