This story hasn't seen an update in four years. You probably didn't even want one, but here it is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you've forgotten the whole story and don't want to reread it, good news: I did that for you. Lemme summarize everything real quick.
-Luffy got warped to the Pokémon time/world by Celebi, who he named Cebi
-Made friends with Gold, Silver, and N from Pokémon Black/White for some reason
-They wrecked a lot of PokéCenters and had an encounter with Giovanni, who I think is in a relationship with Gold's mother?
-A lot of filler comedy
-Now they're trying to find a Machoke and get rid of Team Rocket once and for all
Hecc. This story barely made sense to me, and I wrote it.
Also, like, only two days passed? Over the course of those entire 34 chapters. So there's also that.

Luffy's team is as such:
Hyperbeam/Hypo
=Zoro; Pokey=Usopp; Babs=Nami; Janis=Sanji; Kim=that black-haired girl who did maps; Dexter=Chopper; Machoke/?=Frankie dude
Oh, was her name Robin? Guess it's Robin then.

Oh and one last note? I wrote this story in past tense? But I've still been writing in the meantime since abandoning this, and I've gotten used to present tense? So..

When Silver and Gold come out of the Underground Path, they are horrified to see that the entirety of Route 6 has been cleared of grass. Cuttings lie scattered around stricken wild pokémon, while Luffy, Dexter, and N lie panting near the tunnel entrance.

"Oh, hey, you're here!" N sits up and gave the two a tired wave. "We can go to the city now, guys."

Luffy and Dexter stand to attention as Gold lays into them about destroying the ecosystem and disrupting wildlife. "Don't worry," Luffy says with a grin. "The grass grows back really fast, just like those pseudo trees. We've cut it down five times already."

"And I only got one turn at it," N complains. "Oh, what's in your bag there?" Jessie is sniffing at Gold's man purse as though there's a Poffin inside.

Gold steps back and undoes the flap. "Huh? Oh, yeah.. I forgot about these. Some dude gave me more pokémon back at Silph Co. Want one?"

His friends are suspicious. "He gave you several pokémon for free?" N shakes his head. "That smells fishy to me. I'll pass."

"Okay. Silver? Luffy?" Their friend adjusts his cap and holds out the bag. "Pick a ball, any ball?" His offer meets with silence and the chirping of Kakunas off in the distance. "Really? You're not going to give them a chance?"

Silver sighs. "We don't even know what they look like. For all we know, those could be completely empty."

"That's a good point." Gold stares at the capsules and finally throws them to the ground. "Come out, whatever you are!"

Three pokémon tumble onto the ground in front of him: a green lizard, a small chick of some sort, and a blue sea animal of dubious origins. The 'pirate' crew huddles around them. "What are they?" N finally asks, curiosity getting the better of him.

"Hold on, the Dex is adding them." Silver scans his device for a few moments and then nods. "They're starter pokémon from Hoenn or whatever. Let them go, Gold."

"What? Let them go?!"

"Are we starting our journey? Are we in Hoenn?"

His friend starts to speak, stops, then looks thoughtful. "Well? No.."

"Then we don't need them. It's best to let them roam free. Our teams are pretty full as it is." The words are barely out of his mouth when Silver realizes how wrong he is. It's only the fact that the boys are traveling together that he feels as though their teams are much fuller than they are. In reality, he only has Toto, Sluggy, and Chuck (the Pikachu that even the author forgot about); Gold has Cinders, Flapper, and Sparky; and N's sticking with just two Absol. Luffy.. Luffy's the only one who has a full team?! "Wait, I take that back! Maybe that Grass-type would be useful to have around-!"

The lizard looks askance at him and starts to back away. It preferred the first idea, of letting them go free. Gold picks him up before he can escape. "Yeah, so I'll take the water one. With Luffy around, these guys are bound to grow up in no time." He passes the Treecko to Silver and holds a hand out to the Mudkip. It hesitates, then rubs its head against his fingers. "Aw! You're fine with that? I'll name you BeachyKeen." The Mudkip instantly darts away from him and makes a screeching noise.

Luffy shakes his head. "That's the worst nickname I've ever heard." From his perch on the legendary's shoulder, Hyperbeam nods sagely.

"Urg. Fine. Then how about Squishster?"

"Mud?! Mud!"

Gold frowns. "Just 'Mud'? All right, then." Despite the pokémon frantically shaking its head, he nods and straightens up. "I dub thee Mud!"

"If we're going that route, I'll name my Treecko 'Tree.'" Tree and Mud start repeating their names frenetically.

Luffy looks left and right at his so-called friends, disgusted. "You really can't do better than that?"

Gold grins. "I guess not! Let's-"

"There's a Name Rater in Lavender Town," N says suddenly. "We can fix things there." The other boys turn to him, perplexed, before realizing that he's talking to the pokémon. They must have been complaining about the low quality names.

"Take Mud and Tree, but Ace is happy just the way he is." Luffy sets the Torchic down and watches it toddle away. "Be free, little buddy! If you ever meet my Ace, lemme know!"

His friends do their best to ignore him. "Then, we'll fly with Kim and Flapper again?"

"I don't really want to fly. Can't we walk?"

"Why not rent bikes?"

"Because Luffy would wreck them."

"Oh, yeah.. Walking, it is." N turns to their captain, who's grown misty-eyed from his sendoff to the fire chick. "We're headed to Lavender Town. Coming?"

The boy looks unsure. "I thought we were going to find the Machoke."

"We are, but these little guys are going to lose it if they have those names for too long. Tree's already threatening to cut Silver's legs off and rename him Stumpy." The green-haired youth glances back nervously as the lizard chatters some more. "Uhhh.. Yeah, we need to go. You're staying here, then?"

Luffy nods. "I'm going to find the dude that train guy told us about."

"Okay. We'll meet back up in Vermilion City." He returns to the rest of the group and ushers them back towards Saffron.

Hypo and Dexter look up at their trainer. This is the first time they've been separated from all of the rest of their friends like this. A silence falls upon them.

Then the moment's over and they're running as fast as they can after Luffy, who's already halfway to the southern city.

...

"This looks like it could be him. Doesn't it? Or! Maybe this one!" Luffy has picked up fifteen different species so far, most of them belonging to other trainers. Only now is it dawning on his pokémon that none of them know what a Machoke looks like. Well, none of them except for Kim. As an ex-Team Rocket bird, she's seen her fair share of them, and is seated on a park bench next to a particularly burly one who's enjoying a sandwich. Luffy hasn't made his way there yet, and Kim doesn't feel like getting his attention, so the search continues for another good five minutes.

At length, the pirate's nostrils flare and he snaps his attention to the bench just as its occupant pops the last bit of deli meat into his mouth. "Hey! Whoa! Did I smell food just now?" He runs up and investigates the bench from end to end. "Hmm.. It must have run away. Man, I could eat a whale right about now." Patting his rubber stomach in dejection, he looks up at the Machoke. "Hey, are there any whales around here?"

The big pokémon blinks, his mind connecting the dots of Luffy's thinking, and quickly shakes his head.

"Oh. Bummer. Then do you know if there's a Machoke around here who helped out with the Magno Train a few years ago?"

The fellow blinks again, and now slowly points a thick finger towards himself.

"What?! No way! You're him?! It's great to meet you. My name's Luffy, and I'm the future King of the Pokéman. Would you like to join my crew?" Without giving the pokémon a chance to respond, he continues. "I'll name you Murph. It suits you."

Confused, the Machoke looks over at Kim. She brushes her feathers with her beak in a deliberate act of ignoring the conversation. So Murph smiles nervously and nods to his new trainer.

"Woohoo! Mission complete!"

...

"Really? King Mikah?"

"And Duke Fluke..? I think Tree was better." Silver sidesteps quickly before he can get permanently separated from his knees. "What I meant was, that's a great name! Thank you, Mr. Name Rater, sir!"

The old man chuckles and waves them out of his tent. "Any time, any time... Just be more careful from now on. A pokémon's dignity can only take so much."

"All done?" N asks when his friends come out. "That sure took a while." Jessie and James are dozing off while leaned against each other.

Gold glare at the redhead. "Yeah, we could have been done sooner if someone would have just admitted that the first name was total garbage."

"I was only standing by it because you started it, with Mud!"

Two jets of water hit each boy in the face. Gold flinches and looks guiltily away from King Mikah, while Silver cowers before his angry Feraligatr. "I'm sorry!" He squeaks. "We'll stop! The names were bad; we get it!"

Toto huffs and looks away. Her eyes light up as they focus on a figure in the distance. "Toh!"

"Hey, guys!"

Gold finishes wiping his face and waves. "Luffy! How'd you find us?"

"Kim knew the way. She says she's been here before."

"That's great." N steps forward, nudging his sleeping Absol back awake. "We're all here. We head north, to the Power Plant!"

His suggestion is met with blank stares from everyone except Luffy. "Why?" Gold asks. "Sight-seeing?"

"Something like that.."

...

Proton, Giovanni, and the other Team Rocket honchos that are important enough to have names sit around in a circle and cackle at each other, each trying to outdo the previous laugh by at least three levels of evil. One eventually giggles like a My Little Ponyta character, and the room falls silent. "You win," Giovanni finally says, sweating bullets.

Before the guy can stand and do a victory dance, a troupe of adolescent boys and their pokémon run into the facility and start screeching for Team Rocket to show up and get out. The black-clothed gang exchanges looks with each other, and Proton runs to the Panic Button on the far wall. The rest of the group hustles out to intercept the youngsters before they can start unplugging wires and mess up the lights display for Giovanni's birthday that was so, so hard to get just right.

"Hypo, you know what to do."

"Toto, use Surf! Waterfall them into the ceiling!" Silver had no qualms about using moves against humans. After all, these were bad humans. But Pirates are also bad humans? Shh, shh. Pirates are the only bad humans allowed.

Hyperbeam had the same values as Silver, and used Hyper Beam on all of the people literally drowning in midair. It is safe to say that they are no longer with us. Straight-up murder.

"Whoa.. And they still don't bleed after all of that." Luffy gazes up at the bodies in awe. "How do they do it?"

"You've missed your chance to ask them," Gold says bitterly, refusing to look at the carnage. "They're done for, now. If we were trying to stop Team Rocket, I'd say we've succeeded."

Silver is only a little bit shell-shocked by the results of his actions. "Ah, but they deserved it! Right? Hurting pokémon and making them do, uh, evil things makes you end up like this!" He adopts a face of moral superiority that quickly shatters when the bodies start hitting the floor.

Wet squelches echo throughout the open room, and Gold looks like he's about to vomit. "I.. I'm going outside," he blurts out and stumbles off, his pokémon trotting behind him with equally nauseous faces.

Luffy sighs, poking the lifeless winner of the Cackle Contest with a pole. "So we win. That was too easy.."

"Indeed it was!" A silhouetted figure steps out from a back room, a pokéball raised in one hand.

Silver would recognize that stance anywhere. "Dad! What are you doing here?"

Red narrows his eyes, ignoring his son while he surveys the wreckage. "Hmph. Shouldn't I be the one asking that question?"

"We-We're here to stop Team Rocket! They can't hurt any pokémon, ever again!" The redhead is finding it hard to maintain his confidence. He looks to his team for reassurance, but they look just as wary as he is.

"It certainly looks that way," the supreme Champion drawls. His eyes drift to Luffy. "Say, who are you? Are you the one that made my boy so rebellious?"

The rubber boy picks up Hypo, sensing the death aura emanating from the unknown challenger. "I guess. Are you Silver's father?"

"I am."

"Hypo, use-"

"Hold up, hold up!" Silver jumps in front of his friend. He can't watch his own father get mangled by that stupidly overpowered Chikorita. No.. If anyone's going to wreck Red, it's going to be him. "I'll take care of this, Luffy. You watch out for reinforcements!" He turns and calls Toto to his side. "This is for all of the years you took from me," he snarls. "Go! Get him!"

...

Leaving his friend to fulfill his revenge quest, Luffy calmly exits the building and nods to N and the pale Gold. "Good job keeping watch, you two. Silver will be done in a minute."

"At last," N says, thinking out loud. "At last, this despicable organization sees its final day. Thank you, guys. It would have taken me forever if I'd had to do it alone. I wonder if the police even have enough handcuffs for all of these guys."

Gold blanches. Luffy flicks a piece of snot at the Power Plant sign.

Concerned by their reaction, N presses, "Guys? You made sure to catch them all, right? You didn't just let them escape?"

"They didn't escape.. None of them. They just..." Gold trails off and takes a few deep breaths, trying to keep the bile down.

"You didn't.." N looks at Luffy, his eyes wide. "Did you?!"

"They dead," the captain says brightly.

His long-haired companion makes a strange sound in his throat and runs to the door. He's not prepared for the sight that awaits him and quickly slams it shut. "Oh, Muk. Of all the.."

"I didn't know. I didn't know we were going to kill them," Gold says helplessly, clutching his head in his hands.

"Not that!" N runs to his Absol by the waterfront and starts feeding them X Attacks. "We have to help Silver! Fast!"

Intrigued, the other boys peer through the facility's window and freeze. A monstrous bird stands inside, as tall as the high ceiling. Just one of its talons is longer than Silver's whole body -his friends can determine this statistic because the redhead is currently trapped underneath one. Around him, Toto and the rest of his pokémon team lie, fainted.

"NOOOO!" Luffy pounds at the glass. "Let him go!" He runs to the door and rushes inside, Hyperbeam and Gold hot on his heels. Inside, the towering bird looks even more threatening. Jagged yellow and black feathers complete its look of an electric monster bred purely for destruction.

Red is kneeling next to his son, whispering what are probably death threats while Silver can't lift a finger for himself. Upon hearing the intruders reenter, he stands and barks a command to his weapon of war. "Zapdos, zappy-zap!"

A thunderbolt blasts through the ceiling, showering everyone with rubble. Luffy swelled into a Gum-Gum Balloon in time to protect Gold and their pokémon from damage, so the move ended up being relatively ineffective. The rubber body deflates as the smoke clears, so Red has no idea how his targets ended up safe after the attack. He scowls and tries again. "Zappy Shock!"

A beam of electricity shoots towards the boys, too fast for them to even react to it. It hits Luffy at full force and promptly disappears. The hulking bird squawks in confusion.

"Mr. Zapz? Why didn't it work? Try again! Zappy Shock!" It's probably for the best that Red doesn't realize how stupid those moves sound.

Gold has had enough of the insurmountable odds, though, and falls back. He runs out of the plant just as N is heading in. "Good luck! Don't die!" He squeals, and flops down into the grass to thank Arceus that he isn't dead yet.

Jessie and James flanking his sides, N storms in behind Luffy as his leader advances with fury in his eyes. "Let Silver go, Mr. Zapz. Things don't have to get ugly."

Red yells his own commands to the trash bird. "Don't listen to him! Kill them!" Come on, he caught this thing three weeks ago. There's no way it would listen to the likes of a little kid over the great him!

Mr. Zapz considers the rubber existence before him. A rubber entity that he cannot affect with his Zap Attacks. His great eyes narrow and he nopes out, breaking through the roof to fly away back to wherever he came from. Having a trainer was interesting while it lasted, but getting involved in the affairs of humans is too troublesome. Red gapes at sky in disbelief. Behind him, Silver stirs and sits up, the crushing weight gone from his chest. N and Luffy run up to him, while Jessie and James back the father into the corner for safekeeping (he throws out the rest of his team, but it's quickly annihilated, and he blacks out for the first time in 20 years).

"Are you okay? Get your pokémon back to their balls, and Kim can fly them to a Center." N helps the redhead stand, and Luffy hugs them both tight.

"Good job, team. Hic! You did swell..."

Silver twists around in the rubber embrace. "Wha..? Are you crying?"

"I am not! I just, you almost got squished by Mr. Zappy Zapz..." Luffy rubs his face on Silver's shoulder before ending the hug and displaying it proudly in front of them. "See? No crying!"

Silver nods, his dampened shirt telling him otherwise. He allows himself to smile. "Hey. Thanks, Captain. I was in a little over my head."

"A lot over your head," N huffs. "Who would have thought that that guy would have a legendary bird?"

Cebi twitters, floating into the room. She'd watched the whole encounter from outside, but now she has grave news to share. Luffy's expression darkens as her message goes on.

"I only understood half of that," N stammers, "but that's not good. I.. I hate to say it, but I agree."

His captain bites his lip and nods. "Yeah. She mentioned this earlier, and.. I know."

"Hey, Gold! You can come in now. The coast is clear." Silver sits on a chunk of ceiling, not noticing the dead hand sticking out from underneath it. "Group talk?"

"Group talk." N's expression is grim when their final teammate enters. "Luffy came from another time, and he's done way too much to change things around here, already. Powerful pokémon have taken notice.."

All eyes turn to their mascot. Luffy scratches the back of his head, trying to find the right words. "Cebi says... I have to go back."

Though that thought had haunted Gold since he first met the rubber individual, hearing it spoken out loud is... He fights back tears. "Oh. Is that it?"

Silver takes the news just as poorly. "What?! But, all your pokémon.. They can't go with you, can they?"

"Of course not," Luffy says, keeping his face brave despite the tears now running down his cheeks. "They belong here. I trust you guys to take care of them."

His friends nod. Their time with the strange pirate had been.. Weird. Very weird. But it had been time well spent. They were going to remember him for years to come.

"I know I said I wanted to become the King of the Pokéman.." the boy starts, but the rest of the words are too painful to say.

Silver saves him. "You did. You beat my father's Zapdos. He's the closest thing to the Pokémon King we had here." The other boys nod and reassure their leader. Awake again, Red rolls his eyes from the comfort of his time-out corner.

"I'll miss you. Try and come back someday, huh?" Gold pats him on the back and steps away, letting the others take their turns.

"You taught me much about what it is to have fun with your comrades. I will never forget it." N swallows and retreats, as well.

Silver pulls his friend into one last hug. "Thank you. For everything," he whispers. "Cebi, you take good care of him, all right?" The Celebi chirps. He backs away.

Cebi and Luffy smile sadly and wave to their friends. Hypo, Janis, Kim, Pokey, Murph, Babs, and Dexter emerge from their PokéBalls and sit on the dusty floor before them, solemn. In the space of a moment, a portal appears next to the legendary duo and takes them away.

An air of sadness hangs over the room. Gold is the first to break the silence. "So... What now?"

"Now you tell me just what the hell happened here," a gruff voice says from the entrance.

...

He's back in his world. He can tell from the taste of the air, the brighter sun on his skin. Luffy leans back in the sand and stares up at the sky. A Cebi crosses his field of vision. "Huh? Hey!" Sitting back up quickly, he calls out to her. She floats above him, just out of reach. Her deep eyes are full of sorrow. "I thought so.. You can't stay." Rubber arms snap up and pull her close to the boy. He hugs her tight for several minutes. "Thank you. I had a lot of fun."

He lets her go, and she drifts up towards the clouds. "Cebi~" Her portal warps into existence, and he closes his eyes before his last image of her can be the departure.

He hadn't lied. It had been a lot of fun. Starting his own crew, and running from the law... His eyes burn brightly despite the moisture of recent tears. He's all fired up to start his own adventure, in his own world.

Just what could be waiting for him, down the road?

The End

Epilogue

Saved from going to prison by the impossibility of proving that they had any connection to a rubber pokémon that was now nowhere to be found, and the fact that there were no prisons on the continent, anyway, the remains of the Pokéman Pirates fared well for themselves after their captain was gone. Dragon Master Lance had encouraged them to engage in more harmless methods of enriching society, and so Silver now worked at a library, Gold at a school (where they taught more than just Status Effects), and N.. Well, he went back to Unova to deal with a different menacing team, unfazed by Lance's stern lecture.

It is said that Luffy's pokémon roam the wild, dominating routes and wreaking havoc wherever they go. Just as their trainer would have wished. They wait for a day when their master will return, but that probably won't be until he's the King of the Pirates, too, and no way in heck am I gonna write a sequel so ya'll will have to be happy with that.

Thank you.
