Sibling Rivalry

"MOM!"

Maddie sprinted upstairs, expecting the worst. The kitchen looked like a war zone; batter on the walls, furniture smashed, water spraying from the sink. The oven was blown wide open, green flames licking at the edges. Her two children, singed but unharmed, were besieged by an onslaught of small lumpy ecto-creatures.

"It's not fair!" Jazz squealed, standing on a chair and batting at them with a broom. "Danny reanimated them. That does not count!"

Danny crouched on the counter, fending off a second batch with a whisk. "It totally counts! My cookies crushed yours!"

"I didn't mean literally!"
