A/N: Soooooo,I'm back and very sorry for the four year hiatus. I'm not gonna even try and explain myself, since I know you all know how life is. If any of you are still reading this, then I hope this chapter makes up a bit for my absence. Please enjoy the story!

The Destined Meet

Deep in an abandoned alley way within the heart of London, a brief flash of a spectral raven was seen depositing five strangely dressed teenagers on to the dirty pavement. As the dark avatar dissipated, the teens glanced around in order to regain their bearings. Raven, the last to appear from the apparition looked around disinterestedly.

The alleyway the group warped to was surprisingly vacant. There was neither a dumpster or a homeless individual huddled within the shaded alley. That was not what had Raven looking around however. Even though her face and body language showed boredom, the dark sorceress was intrigued by the ambient magical energy she felt in the area. From what she gathered from her strong, though disused magical senses, the strongest proponent of the energy was coming from the East of her.

Namely, the wall of the building to her right. She was tempted to investigate the building until she saw her fellow titans exiting the alley. Not too keen on being left behind, the enchantress cast the mysterious energy from her mind for the moment and followed the others. Mentally however, she made a note to discover the source of the admittedly strong magical presence.

Stepping out of the alley, the five teens got a look at the busy city of London proper. Looking around, Raven couldn't help but compare the busy city to her own home of Jump. The street the titans were on was just as crowded and noisy as a typical block in Jump City. All they needed was some rampaging super villain and they'd feel right at home.

A few minutes of leisurely walking later, Raven and the others found themselves standing in front of a lavish hotel around the corner from the alley way they materialized in. The building was painted a flattering beige-like color with what seemed to be hundreds of windows dotting the walls of the sky scraper-esque building. In front of the hotel lied a giant parking lot with what Raven guessed to be half of its spots occupied by expensive looking vehicles. Hearing a gasp from behind her, the sorceress noticed out of her peripheral vision that the shape shifter of the group had stopped and was staring at the extravagant building with eyes as wide as saucers.

"Dude!" the green teen exclaimed loudly. "We're staying here?!" The boy looked as if he was vibrating in excitement. The other titans sans our dark heroine seemed to mimic his enthusiasm though to a lesser degree.

While the others were marveling over the lavish building, Raven stole a glance at her large mechanical friend. Even she couldn't stop the amused smirk from appearing as she watched Cyborg nearly fall in love with the expensive cars lined up in the parking lot. Let it be known that Cyborg loves all kinds of technology, particularly of the automobile variety.

Snapping out of her musings, she tuned in just as Robin confirmed Beast Boy's rather ecstatic exclamation before explaining that Batman, the team's financial backer, wanted them to stay in comfort while they completed their mission in London. Say what you will about the masked vigilante but he certainly enjoyed spoiling his side kick.

After everyone gave an understanding nod, the team of heroes all entered the building via automatic sliding doors.

A short while later, Raven found herself in front of an old dirty building following her magical senses. While there were no problems checking in, there was a small incident where the general populous realized who they were. In hindsight, they probably shouldn't have walked in wearing their uniforms, Robin in particular. 'The walking traffic light.' She grumbled inwardly. However, there was no harm done besides a bit of mental scarring by fan boys. She shuddered outwardly upon thinking of the lewd and creepy requests some of them made. The only solace she took from the situation was that Robin seemed to have just as many fanboys as fangirls. The look of abject horror on his face before he ran full tilt to their suite was a sight to behold in the goth girl's opinion.

The rest of the titans fared better than the two resident serious types. Cyborg, while a bit uncomfortable with his fame (he never handled popularity well) took it all in stride and at least greeted the fans who swarmed him. Starfire also took her fame well and greeted the public but disappeared a little while later to follow behind Robin.

Beast Boy of course, milked his fame for all its worth. Before she disappeared, she saw him walking away with two rather fetching British girls around both arms. She later met all but two of the titans near the elevators so they could get their rooms settled. While each titan was a bit traumatized by their fans, Beast Boy was the only one who looked like he enjoyed the attention. She guessed it was because of the two huge kiss marks on his cheeks. It would explain the goofy grin he had on his face anyway.

A little while later, the group sans one alien and boy wonder were walking towards their hotel room after a short but irritating ride in the elevator. Let it be known that Raven hates elevator music. It's so disgustingly cheery and never changed no matter what elevator you were in. Upon exiting the musical metal deathtrap, it was only a short walk until they reached the room the pleasant receptionist gave them before they were mobbed by their fans. In front of the rather unremarkable door stood their leader being rubbed on the back by a comforting Starfire.

Apparently, he has an incredible phobia of fanboys. Who knew? Of course, Beast Boy had to take a pot shot at their normally fearless leader about giving his fans autographed photos or some such nonsense. She wasn't particularly listening but she still slapped him upside the head for good measure.

After a bit of a stare down between a pouting Beast Boy and a blank faced Raven. The quintet finally entered their rooms to check out their temporary accommodations…

And were suitably shocked by the utter lavishness that was their hotel room. Raven of course was the first to shut her gaping mouth and look around with a curious eye. The first thing she noticed was that Batman had apparently rented them an entire suite!

In the center of the admittedly large living room was a comfortable looking black couch facing a massive 70-inch plasma screen television. On the left side of the room was a kitchenette and a mini bar stocked with plenty of refreshments. Although she doubted that any of them were alcoholic. Something she was grateful for; just imagining a drunk Beast Boy was enough to give her a chill.

The backside of the massive room had five doorways stretching along toward the right side of the room. She guessed that was where the bedrooms were. The walls were a nice royal blue, while the carpets were also a shade of blue, though bordering on black.

Upon finishing her inspection, she noticed that her friends were finally getting over their amazement. While they began to look around in earnest, Raven decided to pick a room and put her things away. Glancing at the doors again, she decided to pick the room facing the doorway to enter the suite. Upon entering the room and closing the door behind her, she immediately took in her surroundings with interest.

She noticed right away that the color scheme of this room matched the one in the living room perfectly, with not a shade out of place. She even found that the bed, queen sized she noticed, followed the same color scheme. The bed had crisp sky-blue sheets, with a navy-blue comforter on top of it. The pillowcases were a nice black color. Beside each side of the bed was an end table with a single lamp with blue shades on top.

The left side of the room contained a full 5 drawer mirror-dresser combo in a sleek black finish. The right side of the room only had a door that she presumed led to the bathroom. There was also a small wall mounted flat screen television in front of the bed. All in all, Raven had to admit it was a nice room. Although it had nothing on her room back at Titan's Tower in her humble opinion.

Sitting on the amazingly soft mattress, Raven lazily waved her hand to the side. Instantly her black travel bag appeared on the floor in front of her with a spark of dark power. Reaching for her bag while mentally grumbling about not having a spell that could pack for her, she paused an instant before she touched the handle. She felt it. For just a split second, a strong magical presence flittered across her senses before disappearing again. She rose from the bed and strode over to her window and just now noticing that the dark blue curtains were already opened, she unlocked the window and raised it fully.

She looked up and down the still busy street inquisitively. For that split second, she felt that presence, it seemed to be located across the street. Looking at all the buildings with a careful eye, she noticed that her vision kept being drawn to what looked to be a small run-down pub in between two cleaner buildings.

What really intrigued her about the pub, besides the contrast between it and the cleaner buildings, was that everyone who walked past the pub looked as if it didn't even exist. Even the people looking at the buildings seemed to look right over the pub like it wasn't even there.

Raven's curiosity fully peaked, she gave the little pub a closer look with her magical senses. Almost immediately upon trying to sense the building she felt it; magic. While it wasn't very strong, certainly not as strong as that presence she felt earlier, it was still there, which only intrigued her more. Just why would a small pub sing magical to her senses? It would certainly explain why people couldn't seem to see it. The pub must be enchanted to keep non magical beings away, hence why she could see it.

With her now being twice as curious, she decided to take a gander at the pub. After all, it couldn't be a coincidence that she felt a strong magical presence near the same location as the pub, right? With her course now set, Raven focused on the little pub and in a flash of dark light found herself standing right in front of the entrance. Paying no heed to whether anybody noticed her teleportation, she immediately strode into the pub of which she would later find out to be called: The Leaky Cauldron.

Upon entering the establishment, Raven couldn't help but feel underwhelmed. To the left was a bar where a strange looking bald man was cleaning some glasses. It seemed there was a lack of day drinkers today because the seats at the bar were completely empty. The rest of the downstairs contained tables and booths, making her assume that the place doubled as a restaurant. There were quite a few people at the tables eating what looked to be an early lunch.

Seeing the food and the scent in the air actually caused Raven's stomach to growl softly. Apparently, it's reminding her that she hadn't ate much that day. Looking around a bit closer, she noticed that while the establishment was run down, it was very clean and well kept. Taking another wistful look at the food, she pushed her hunger out of her mind, however, not without a mental note to come back after her investigation.

The last thing she noticed was a set of stairs that she assumed led to a living area. Perhaps that's where the Barman lives? Casting the question out of her head for now, she cast out her senses to see if she could pick up on more magic now that she was inside. Taking note of all the magicals present, including the barman, she immediately zeroed in on a door towards the back of the pub. While faint, she could just barely sense the same presence that caught her attention twice today.

Striding toward the door while ignoring everyone around her, she opened it and slipped inside before shutting it behind her with a quiet snap. Of course, since she gained tunnel vision as soon as she saw the door, she never noticed that some slightly shady looking magicals were eyeing her as she passed.

On the other side of the door, Raven had to squint her eyes a little due to unexpectedly walking back out into the bright London sunlight. Placing her hood on her head to block out the sun somewhat, she realized that the door led to behind the pub. Weirdly enough, the alleyway was completely enclosed; meaning that the only entrance and exit to the alley was the door behind her.

The only things of note in the alleyway was a green dumpster to the left of her and a clean red brick wall right in front of her. Weirdly enough, only the bricks in front of her were clean, the rest were almost brown with dirt. Intrigued, she walked closer to the wall in order to study it a bit more in depth. While most people would only see a dead end, Raven could sense the magic in every clean brick on the wall. Since she could still sense that faint presence, only behind the wall this time, she realized that this dead end, was actually a hidden entrance to somewhere; although where, she had no idea.

However, just as she was about to see if she could determine a way to open the entrance, she nearly did a double take as the brick in the dead center of the wall began wiggling. Not moving, not rotating, but honest to God wiggling. Even the violette couldn't help but look at the wall dumbfounded.

Still watching wide eyed, Raven observed as one by one each brick wiggled and started moving out of the way like puzzle pieces. Gasping, she didn't even notice when an older man in robes swept past her to enter the pub. For right in front of her, was the opening to a place she never could have imagined existed.

Walking mesmerized through the entryway; she didn't even turn around when the bricks rotated back into place. All she could do was look at the hustle and bustle of what was clearly a magical alley full of things that even she didn't know the names of. The sight alone was enough to make her completely forget about that presence she felt earlier.

Starting to walk down the alley, Raven couldn't keep her eyes in one place, much less in front of her. It was all so interesting! Lining the sides of the cobble stone road were various shops and stands selling the most peculiar wares. From magic broomsticks, a mental image of an actual witch riding one of those made her giggle inwardly, to potion ingredients (powdered newt eyes? Grossssssss), to even, to her eternal shock, an owl shop.

'I didn't even think it was possible to domesticate an owl'. Raven mused. Are they house trained? Can any bird be domesticated? Raven could only picture herself having her animal namesake on her arm. Maybe she could get it to hunt Beast Boy? She actually got into a thinking pose while walking. A girl can dream right?

Unfortunately, her daydreams of Beast Boy getting eaten by a pet raven were abruptly and, (shockingly?) interrupted. For while in the midst of her gory daydream, Raven bumped into a surprisingly hard mass and fell on her bum before she could catch herself.

Shaking off the remnants of her daydream and cursing Beast Boy's name, 'even my daydreams with him in it cause me problems.' She thought irritably, Raven immediately noticed she was on the ground. With a brief look of confusion, she quickly remembered that she had bumped into someone while not paying attention and that said someone shocked her somehow. Not the surprised shock either, but an actual electric shock; probably a bit stronger than a static shock you get from rubbing your socks on carpet.

Moving to get up to apologize and hopefully figure out how she got shocked, she froze as she heard the voice of a young man apologizing to her. Of course, it wasn't his nervous and apologetic voice that brought her pause, it was his magic singing to her senses. Raven honestly couldn't believe what she was feeling; It was like the guy's power had no end. He was practically unreadable. Besides the gigantic mass that was his magic, she could also place a feeling to it. Something she couldn't do with any other magical she sensed. His magic felt tingly almost, sort of like if one were to touch one of those electric spheres that caused one's hair to stand on end.

Now she was incredibly curious as to what this being with god like magic, to her anyway, looked like. Without even a second of hesitation, Raven looked up, so fast even that she didn't even notice her hood fall off.

The first thing her eyes saw were the most entrancing emerald green eyes she had ever seen…

Harry honestly couldn't believe his luck today. After everything that happened with his now dubbed 'Sparky Hands' and the goblins, he really just wanted some food and a place to think. Of course, instead of finding his way to a restaurant, he finds himself knocking some poor girl over. He really hoped she wasn't hurt; she didn't even have time to catch herself before she fell. All he could do was apologize and hope she didn't rail on him too badly.

"I'm so sorry miss." Harry apologized. "I was just so distracted that I wasn't watching where I was going. Here, let me help you up." Harry said gently as he offered his hand… which she hasn't taken yet. Harry, starting to get worried, was about to repeat himself when the girl suddenly looked up at him so fast that her deep blue hood flew off her head.

Harry was nearly struck dead by what he saw. For sitting in front of him was the most exotic beauty he had ever saw. Not even Fleur, a veela, a race known for their beauty and raw sex appeal, could compete with this girl. She had violet hair cut into a bob cut with two bangs framing the sides of a red jewel on her forehead. Her skin was gray, which while strange, suited her perfectly. Her lips were also gray but of a darker shade, bringing attention to their soft look. However, the part of her that most caught his attention was her eyes. Two deep sparkling pools of pure amethyst, he felt he could look into her eyes forever.

However, while her beauty was great, it didn't serve to distract him enough to forget that she had yet to say a word or get off the ground. She just continued to stare at him unnervingly. Harry was beginning to feel more weirded out by the second as the impromptu staring contest continued. The longer he continued to look, the more unreadable her stare became. It honestly got to the point where he just had to break the uncomfortable silence. If only to see some emotion in her eyes at least.

"Err, do you need a hand?" Harry stammered out nervously. He watched as the girl strangely blinked once as if coming out of a trance. Of course, the opposite of what he wanted happened as her eyes shifted from unreadable to emotionless instead. Following that, she got up with ease, ignoring his still outstretched hand. Slowly retracting his hand, Harry instead asked;

"Are you okay?" He was still feeling guilty about knocking her over and wanted to appease her in some way. The girl stayed silent for a moment longer, and just when he thought he was about to be ignored for the third time; did he hear an incredibly soft yet monotone voice.

"I'm fine." She stated calmly. To Harry, she almost sounded mechanical, not a single emotion to be heard in her tone.

After that, the silence ensued for another long minute. Harry, feeling more awkward by the second, mustered another quick apology before trying to stride past her. He didn't think he could take anymore of the awkwardness she made him feel with just a look. However, just before he was out of earshot, he heard her speak so softly, he almost didn't catch it.

"Who are you?" She asked quietly. So quietly that only Harry would be able to hear her.

Freezing in his tracks, Harry turned his head to see the strange but beautiful girl had turned to face him. While her face was blank, he noticed that her amethyst eyes held an inquisitive gleam. As much as he felt that he should ignore her the same way she ignored him, he still felt some guilt for knocking her on her ass. He's also not a very petty person either. Making up his mind, he turned to face her fully.

"I'm Harry, Harry Potter. And you?" He asked nicely. He was honestly waiting on the gasp of recognition and the glance to his scar like everyone else seem to do; and was relieved upon seeing no sign of recognition. He hated his fame with a passion, and it was always a breath of fresh air to see someone who didn't know him. Although, it did make him curious as to how she didn't know him but was in Diagon Alley.

"Raven." The now named girl said simply.

Raising an eyebrow at the lack of a last name, Harry decided to keep the conversation going now that she seemed more talkative.

"Are you from around here?" He questioned. While he doubted, she lived in magical London due to her exotic looks, Harry admittedly was still new to the wizarding world. He had only been a part of the world for about five years now after all. And even then, it was at only while he was at Hogwarts.

A shake of the head from the pale girl was enough to confirm his suspicions. Although, a new one just took its place. Studying the attractive girl, he noticed that she was around his age, maybe sixteen or seventeen. Just how did she get into the alley? Maybe her parents? After all, the only way to enter the alley is to tap on a certain combination of bricks in a certain order with a wand. A foreigner knowing this pattern without an English wizard helping them was absurdly low. 'Although she could have been let in by someone' Harry mused silently.

Glancing at her again, he noticed that she didn't seem to be a threat, but the same could have been said about Quirrel as well. His gut, however, was telling him that she wasn't a threat to him. His gut had never steered him wrong before, so he decided to trust it. He also didn't fail to notice that while he had been musing, Raven had been gazing about the alley in wonder. The sight reminded him of his first time in the alley. He thought amused. Thinking of his first time gave him a brain wave. Maybe he should show her around? He did finish his business with the bank after all. Maybe its about time to splurge a bit; besides, he might just make a new friend!

Snapping out of his thoughts once again, he focused on his gray cast acquaintance. 'I wonder if that's her natural color or if she needs more sun?' He thought questioningly. What he failed to notice was that his mental interlude took two seconds instead of two minutes like he thought it did.

"Umm, Raven?" Harry called hesitantly. He was still a little nervous that she was mad at him underneath that blank exterior.

Instantly the dark girl's eyes snapped forward. For just an instant, Harry could have sworn he saw embarrassment in her eyes before it cleared so quick that he thought he imagined it. Having her attention on him nearly made him choke back his words. How did someone make a blank stare so intense? But, like a true Gryffindor, he charged forward.

"Would you like me to show you around the alley? I want to make up for knocking you over." Harry proposed. He made sure to keep his voice gentle but confident. He didn't want her to think he was a wimp after all.

Tilting her head to the side, she seemed to consider what he was asking for a moment. Harry feared she would give a very curt No and walk off. Yet, she did something that admittedly shocked him. She smiled (Smiled!) very slightly and acquiesced in a grateful manner.

Relieved and slightly awed at how pretty and open her face was with a smile on it, he beckoned her to follow him on a tour of the prestigious alley. All he was thinking of right then while walking side by side with his beautiful companion was that he wanted to keep her smiling for as long as he saw her.

A/N: What you guys think? We finally got our two main characters to meet and it looks like the start of a beautiful friendship! I'm trying to portray my characters as real as I can, but dialogue and feelings are hard. Not entirely sure how most authors do it haha. Maybe I'll get it eventually. Hopefully anyway. Anyways, don't worry about a long hiatus again, I've already got a good bit of chapter 7 done, and I'll definitely get it posted within a week or so. I have no idea what my posting schedule is gonna be, but I'll let yall know as soon as I can. Now, let me shut up, so yall can go about your day. Please leave me a review and let me know what yall think. Also, Thanks to all of you who have reviewed and favorited and followed my story. I truly appreciate you guys! Peace!
