Chapter 5: Avoid, Forgiveness and somehow Sweet
Normal POV
The day after the date that went wrong finally arrived. Maka woke up with a gloomy face and went inside the bathroom to take a shower.
"I hate that bastard." Maka muttered as soon as she finished taking a shower and wore her school uniform.
"Morning, sis~!" Crona said to Maka enthusiastically and hugged Blair.
"Morning." Maka replied in a bored tone as she took out water from the fridge and got one loaf of bread. She then sat down on the small wood chair.
"What got your mood like that?" Spirit asked Maka as he looked at her with worried and tired – filled eyes.
Maka chose to ignore her dad's question and left her house to go to school.
~At school~ (Kid POV)
Damn. I ruined the "date" last night. It was pretty horrible I said that to her. I walked around the school since Soul and Black Star isn't here yet. As I walk around I bumped into Tsubaki.
"Hello Kid." She said with a kind smile.
"Oh, hey Tsubaki." I replied. She looked at me curiously.
"Why so down Kid?" She said.
"Um, well. I ruined the date last night." I said and sighed. She sighed too and I heard a 'tsk' sound coming from the corner.
"You should've been careful with her feelings you know." Liz said as she randomly pop out of nowhere.
"When did you get here Liz?" Tsubaki said with a surprised tone.
"Well, just earlier but I have to drag Patty's sleepy ass along with me." She said and pointed at the corner then I peeked and saw a sleeping Patty on the ground and heck, she look like she's drunk.
Me and Tsubaki sweat dropped at the sight and chose to ignore the sleeping giraffe lover.
"What will you do about it, Kid?" Liz asked me with her eyebrow raised.
"About what?" I replied with a question.
"Don't act dumb! About last night! You have a deal with your Dad, remember?!" Liz shouted at my face which I sighed and pat my ears lightly.
"Then just say sorry Kid." Tsubaki said softly.
"I'm afraid to do so." I said.
"Well this is a first." Liz said nonchalantly.
I and Tsubaki looked at her weirdly.
"It is a first that the most famous playboy in the city, Death the Kid, is afraid of saying sorry." Liz continued.
I gave her a death glare for some reason.
"It isn't hard to say sorry you know." Tsubaki calmly said.
I sighed and rubbed my temples. This is harder than I expected. Well, an apology shouldn't be hard, right?
"Have you seen Soul or Black Star?" I asked the two girls. Liz shrugged in a careless manner and Tsubaki just uttered a no.
I bid them farewell for a while so I could find the two idiots.
Time Skip –Classroom- (Maka POV)
When I arrived at school, I bumped into Liz and Tsubaki. Strangely, Liz was giving a sleepy patty a piggy back ride. I giggled at Liz's face, and then I guess Patty was quite heavy.
"Hey Maka." Liz whispered.
I looked at her and whispered back, "What is it, Liz?"
"Um, well how's the date last night?" She asked.
I flinched at the thought and felt anger surging in my chest.
"That jerk crossed the line." I muttered with a bit of venom.
"So, what will happen to both of you?" Liz asked. I just shrugged in response.
Time Skip (Lunch, Cafeteria) –Normal POV-
The group sat at their usual table after they got their food. Unfortunately, Kid and Maka were sitting beside each other.
"Hey Maka…" Kid muttered and he looked at Maka briefly.
Everyone at the table got silent when they heard Kid. Maka chose to ignore him and continue talking to Liz and Tsubaki and the said two just sweat dropped at Maka's action.
Kid did not give up and kept on calling Maka over and over again. Maka snapped at this and shouted at his face,
"What the hell do you want?!"
Everyone looked at her in surprise.
"Don't need to shout!" Kid shouted back after the shock wore off.
"Then tell me what you want!" Maka commanded.
"I wanna apologize for hurting your feelings!" Kid said calmly.
"The hell you care! I'm just a poor girl with a pathetic family, remember?!" Maka shouted and ran outside the cafeteria almost in the brink of tears.
A few seconds passed and Kid's face was obviously plastered with shock and guilt. Everyone at the table looked at him for a moment and shouted,
"GO AFTER HER!"
Kid frantically grab his stuff and ran outside to follow Maka.
"They don't need to shout." Kid said as he slowly stopped at the entrance of the school.
He looked around to look for the ash blonde girl who just ran away a few minutes ago.
"Where the hell is that girl?" Kid muttered as he went down the horribly long stairs.
Time Skip (Dismissal) Liz POV
Kid and Maka didn't make it in the afternoon classes. I guess Kid is really trying hard looking for Maka. Kid's been dating other girls for like 1 week and then break their hearts like they were nothing yet he is still popular. I got a feeling Kid has feelings for Maka but blinded with hatred for one another.
I guess I have to look for kid and help him. I told Tsubaki to do me a favor to join Patty home since I'm gonna play Sherlock for a while and look for Kid and Maka.
I instinctively went to the park and look around. Wow, the park is really famous for old people, kids and freaking couples! I wish in the future me and Soul will be together at the park. What the hell am I thinking?!
I went a bit deep in the park and saw a pretty tall and large tree. I draw closer to the beautiful old tree and saw two figures on a branch that is quite close to the ground. As I look closer, I was giggling quietly.
It was a sleeping Kid hugging a sleeping Maka. I wanna squeal so loud at the cuteness and how it looks like Kid is so protective of Maka. Well, I have to leave before I ruin their moment together hehe.
WELL THIS IS HOW THAT HAPPENED:
Kid POV
I frantically ran every nook and cranny of this damn town except the park. When I finally arrived at the park I went a bit at the deep part and saw a beautiful, old, tall and large tree. On the lowest branch I saw a figure it has its head buried into its knees.
As I slowly went closer to the figure it got alerted and its head was shot up and was face towards me. I was shocked when I realized when it was Maka.
"Maka." I said softly. She looked at me with hurtful and ager-filled eyes. I flinched at that.
"What do you want?" She asked with venom. I sighed and went on the branch where she was easily.
"The others are worried." I said then she just back away to get away from me until she was about to fall.
I instantly grabbed her wrist and pulled her to me. I hugged her tightly while leaning on the tree's trunk.
"Ack! Let me go, zebra!" She said as she punched my chest.
"Can't you just be grateful that I saved your life?" I said, annoyed.
"Why anyways?" She stopped hitting me and her body relaxed a bit. Good.
"I'm sorry." I muttered. She made a surprised sound and looked at me with shocked eyes.
"Wow, you just said sorry? Surprising." She said as she positioned herself sitting between my legs and she rested her head on my chest.
"W-what are you doing?" I asked a bit nervously. Wait, why am I nervous?!
"Ugh. Be quiet. Let me sleep, zebra. You gave me a hard time." She said then I hear small snores.
I chuckled and embraced her tightly and slept as well. It isn't bad to be on good terms with Maka after all.
AFTER BEING GONE FOR MONTHS, I FINALLY MADE A CHAPTER! YES~! I AM HAVING A HARD TIME FOR THE OTHER STORIES. CURSE HAYATE NO GOTOKU FOR MAKING MY FEELS EXPLODE. LOL. THANKS FOR READING~!
