Never Change

Disclaimer: I do not own Hetalia or Doctor Who

Here's a random one-shot I wrote. It's the first time I've written a crossover or a Doctor Who fic, so go easy on me. A review would be nice, to tell me how good (or bad) my first crossover was.

After 'The Angels Take Manhattan' and 'The Snowmen', right before 'The Bells of Saint John'.

BTW, I'm American, so if there are any errors with the British accent, tell me.

England sat in his comfortable chair sipping tea. It was days like these that he missed. There was always something-or someone-bothering him.

He heard a very familiar sound in his , it was about time.

Opening the door, he looked up at the man standing in the doorway.

"Hello, Doctor."

"It's been awhile, England."

England rolled his eyes. He opened the door wider and let the man in. "Only a few months." The Doctor strolled into the house after England.

The two knew each other very well. That shouldn't be much of a surprise, though. Doctor was always helping England out. He seemed to attract all the aliens that didn't have the best of plans for humanity.

"How are the rest of the nations?" Doctor asked.

"The same. All those bloody wankers," England complained. Doctor smirked. England always seemed to be insulting his fellow nations. He decided that one day he'd have to meet them.

England offered the Doctor a cup of tea, which he excepted. They both sat in silence for a few moments.

"Do you miss them?" England asked, breaking the silence.

Doctor was taken by surprise. "What do you mean?" He knew very well what the nation meant.

"Amy. Rory. You miss them." England repeated. This was a touchy subject. He was treading on some thin ice.

"Yes." Doctor said after a moment of silence. "I do."

England set down his cup. "I'm sorry. Really, I am."

"It's fine. I just… I just hope they were happy in the end."

England slowly nodded. He knew something like this was bound to happen. It always did. He understood the Doctor's pain, he'd felt it before too. That was one of the worst things about being a nation. While everyone grew and changed, lived and died around you, you stayed the same.

Doctor stood up. "It was nice seeing you, England. I'd better go."

"Yes, it was nice to see you as well. Have safe travels."

England stood by his door and watched the Time Lord leave. Some things never change.

So, there you go. Tell me how you thought it was and if there are any errors.

Hasta La Pasta!
