WHO IS TONY STARK 3 - BRUCE BANNER

This lab looks so surreal, like a dream come true! I cannot believe Tony gave me an entire lab to myself! I could not believe it when Tony said he could offer me a lab in the R&D level. I still can never believe- this is simply amazing.

That was more than a month ago. Only two months ago I had agreed and accepted Tony's offer to live in Stark Tower, deciding to take a break from some new courses and all the voluntary works I have been trying to do.

Tony had gladly taken me in to his home/office building and given me a very comfortable place to stay. Apparently the whole team had moved in here long before me because Fury often wanted the team to go on missions and training exercises. Seemed like I missed quite a lot when I was gone for medical training sessions, though I doubt my presence was really necessary here as the other guy can't exactly train on the helicarrier without ripping the entire craft apart.

Sighing I look around the lab around me. It's lonely, quiet - not the suspicious silence but the one that signifies tranquility.

Sometimes Tony would come down to work with me, it is a nice experience to be working alongside the billionaire.

I never thought I would be able to meet Tony Stark himself, much less work alongside him. The only possible chance I thought I had was if he was trying to contain the other guy under Shield's orders. That would be bad.

I didn't know much about him at first, the media liked to spread countless rumors, not that I had much access to many celebrity gossip magazines. I knew that Tony was a genius, he apparently built his first engine at 6 years old - impressive for a kid.

Tony is a fine man, he doesn't party or drink much, though I heard from his amazing CEO Ms Potts that he used to sleep around and flirt a lot before he went to Afghanistan. The media doesn't believe he isn't playing with women anymore though. Some people can really change with a slight push.

Tony is a great friend to me. He brought me up to his personal workshop several times and showed all the things he had over there, so many computers, holograms and suits! His workshop is mind-blowingly awesome, but it wouldn't suit my type of work. The Iron Man designs are extremely intricate and yet Tony has very few problems in maintaining his suits. I wonder what inspired to make them in the first place. Pepper told me that he goes back to villages helping people who were suffering due to black market sales of his own weapons.

Tony is very gifted. He came up with Arc-reactor technology, a clean hopeful sustainable energy for all of us. The Stark Tower is running smoothly on this energy, thanks to Tony's good heart and hard work.

I just hope that this world- no matter how vain it is - will finally accept that Tony Stark is trying to change himself and make a change in the world.

A few days later

"So Brucie-bear, how is the lab so far?"

I smiled, amused with his nick-name. "It's great Tony, the equipment here are amazingly advanced and I have all the things I need. Thank you for lending me this lab."

Tony brushed the appreciation off lightly, "It's no big deal, and it's yours to keep forever, not temporary Brucie."

My eyes could have widened dramatically at that time, judging by the way he laughed after looking at me.

"Wouldn't another employee need this lab? I'm not a staff here Tony so I am not using the labs for official work. Also, I would like to go to third world countries to volunteer some medical help in a few weeks."

"Bruce," Tony laid a hand on my shoulder, "I'm not stopping you from travelling, but recently, Captain Spangles has trying to arrange new team building exercises-" he paused to scoff, "so that we can work as a team when we next assemble. And this lab, it's nothing I can't afford. Consider it a gift for staying here."

"I'm not needed for training, the other guy can't train without wreaking havoc remember?"

"We need you to join the exercises too, Bruce, since you're an Avenger now. Natasha and Clint said they are going to teach me simple defence, some of which I've already learnt," he said in a slightly cocky tone before lowering his voice to a whisper, "I think you'd benefit and plus I wouldn't want you to go alone with the assassins. They could do a number on you if they weren't careful. So it's better for you to be accompanied by the ruggedly handsome Tony Stark, than going alone for your training."

I chuckled. What Tony was hiding was that (after a classified previous incident) he and Natasha haven't been on good terms and he couldn't bring himself to trust Natasha. These two have been at each others' neck since way before Avengers first assembled. And Tony probably wants me to go with him so that he wouldn't be hurt by Natasha. I of course relented and offered to take up simple self defence. I just wish the two assassins will go easy on us, we're not Shield-trained material yet, and they both haven't gotten used to us yet.

Tony is a good guy, sometimes he talks a bit too much but it doesn't hurt anyone unneceesarily. He does have a big heart even though he doesn't show it too often. Maybe if he had more trustworthy human friends then Tony would have better reputation and wouldn't be known just for money and intelligence.

Maybe everyone has to give him chances to prove himself as a thoughtful human and change their impression of the ex-Merchant-of-Death.

I know I have never met or gotten involved in Tony's life to know what happened throughout the past few years thoroughly, but one thing for sure, he's trying to build himself up. Before the Avengers, I have heard classmates, neighbours, colleagues, and other people gossiping about how bad a person Tony Stark was.

"Tony Stark was trying to live up to the Howard Stark legacy - a cold, ruthless, killer with zero accountability." They spat.

'That's why, effective immediately, I am shutting down the weapons manufacturing division of Stark International.'

Now, Tony Stark is being his own person.

Deep words eh? XD Hope it was understandable & thank you all once again for the encouragement!

Have a nice day/night,
