Welcome to chapter 3 I have a lot to think about since things will be done way different from the original. I got a very weird review about codes and all that which made me go uhhhhhhh ok? Anyway thanks to those that reviewed. Like I said I might bring in other sorcerers from the ss game. Since a few are my fav and I might post a bio for each archfiend at the end chapter. As for making Ruby betray him bet no one saw that coming huh? But how will things be taken now? Well lets just say everything has a price and it must be paid.

Note Tsukune and Ruby will be changing outfits from the original now. Tsukune will be wearing a different set of clothes from the game. I might introduce Sortiara since its an au or I might work Maguser into this fic since it will lead to trying to save the world or destroying it. The three factions will be shown and spoken of.

For those that don't know about SS let me explain. Avalon is a organization made up of magic users bent on saving the world. But they believe killing is the best way of making it peaceful. Anyone that becomes an archfiend no matter who it is must be purified by ending their life this is their way.

Emotions do not matter you must follow the orders to the end or be seen as a monster yourself. By killing them you prevent hate from spreading and avenging the people killed by the beast. Saving is allowed but is looked down upon. save to much and you are to be killed. I will post more at the end now lets go! finally I emailed fanfiction hoping they put a soul sacrifice section if and when they do this story will be moved to the cross over section that way I can get more views and faves no flames and r an r check out my other storys. Important note the new soul sacrifice dealt comes out tomorrow on Tuesday may 13 anyone else going to get it?

Chapter 3 sins of the past and the future

Ruby had awoken from a deep sleep and just saw the sunrise lit her room. She threw the covers off and decided it was best to take shower. She entered her bathroom and turned on the water letting the room be filled with steam. She removed her clothing and got in the shower letting the warm water clean her body. As she cleaned her body she moved her hands towards her chest and traced the long scare in the center of her chest, she ran her hand across it looking at it as a reminder of the day she lost her friend. The day she should of have died. After a few minutes she fished and exited the shower wrapping her body in a towel. She entered her room and stood in front of her mirror looking at herself before speaking.

"6 years have passed since I last I last saw him. I wonder what he would think me now that I have grown. I wonder what he even looks like now? I know it's against the code but I want to see you again… to tell you how I feel Tsukune but if I see you, I will have to kill you."

She decided to get dress before it was time to meet. She opened her closet and opened it dropping her towel. She looked her body and then her right arm which was now entirely covered in red and black. She sighed just feeling her arm pulse before getting dressed. She had long ago threw way her old costume and was given a new outfit when she reached legal age. Her master had decided to give her an old outfit she had worn in her old days. But she had refused and chosen the clothes of the nomad in blood red. When asked why she picked them all she said was.

"I don't know it just feels right to me."

When she had finished changing she sat on her bed and looked at an old picture of the past. She saw an old picture of her young self-standing next to Tsukune along with other Divine users. Some of them had their hoods down while some just smiled at the camera. She felt pain in her heart looking at the image. Most of the people in the image had been killed when the purge happen. Some of them she saw as friends but now they were dead. She wondered if some of them had gotten away when survivors had escaped. But she lost hope when she saw some of their bodies with the dead. She looked at another picture and saw it was one of her and her master but with Tsukune in it smiling with his arm around her. She felt another pain in her heart as she remembered.

"Master…. Why did it you do it, why did you make me do it… I lost Tsukune and now I lost you as well."

She recalled the day she lost her master to the sorcerer's ordeal.

Flash back 3 years ago.

She was now 16 and kneeing front of the leaders of Avalon that had called her and other dark users she knew it was time and so did they. It was getting close to the day of the Sorcerer's ordeal the most anticipated day by all Sorcerers and Sorceress since it would finally be time to become a full fledge member of Avalon. But could they all pass the ordeal?

"You are gathered here today since we are here to announce the Sorcerer's ordeal which will be coming in the next few days. Now your friends and families are here since this will be important day we expect only the best to pass."

"Do you all understand?"

"Yes…" the young Sorcerer's said as a few knew what they will be facing as the leader of Avalon spoke.

"Good. Now do you any of you know what will happen during this ordeal?"

No one answered as Ruby looked at the leader just nodded.

"Good, you will all be told unless you already know and if you do then you are forbidden to speak of it until the day. Since you would probably want an advantage. The man said with evil grin making a few of the Sorcerers get worried. But Ruby saw a few of them smile as they clenched their right hand. But she knew what the ordeal was Tsukune had mentioned it around her when he was looking up new healing spells. She knew what would be coming for the people next to her and decided it was best not to tell them.

"You're all dismissed!"

"Yes!"

Ruby rose from the ground and saw everyone heading towards their families and friends. She looked at the ground and walked out of the Avalon Castle by herself seeing as there was no point in staying any longer. She began walking down the stairs seeing that the sun was starting to set.

"I have to get home, I hope master will be ok with me getting home a bit late."

After the purge had happen 3 years ago Ruby's master had decided to move closer to Avalon since it was finally free of the Traitors of neutral and the divine. The only people that lived in the town near Avalon were normal people that couldn't use magic, and the new family's that believed that Avalon was right. Others that had disagreed were either told to leave or were killed in secret if they presented a problem.

She walked past a few people at the market ignoring them but saw a few young kids playing and saw their arms. One kid had a normal arm wrapped in bandages letting people know he was a sorcerer stilling in training. The other two looked about a year older than the normal arm and their arms were light red. It was a sign of their growth was doing fine. She arrived home and pushed the door open not bothering of knocking.

"I'm home…"

She was greeted by her master as she came from the living room holding a book.

"Welcome home ruby how did it go?"

"Same as always, but now the Sorcerer's ordeal has finally been announced. It will be taking place in the next few days."

"I see… and do you think you ready?"

"I don't know since, I know I would have been put against Tsukune. Since we were so close and it would have tested us and Avalon would have known if we could really put aside our feelings for the ordeal". Ruby said as she went into the kitchen followed by her master who just served herself and ruby some tea

"Well Ruby it's good to hear you say this since you're right. You would been put against him since Avalon knew he wouldn't kill you since you were his only friend."

"What?"

Avalon has ways of knowing who will be perfect a match for each other making them grow closer. Some become best friends, some even become lovers, but when that happen the men usually ended up letting themselves be killed for their lover. Sometimes the women would let themselves be killed for the men they loved."

"Oh…" Ruby wanted to feel for them but over the last few years she had grown a bit could and rarely cared about things that didn't concern her or her master. She was all she had left so she need to listen and she couldn't afforded to grow closer to anyone since it would mean she would be force to fight them and kill them for the ordeal.

"But things didn't go as plan, some of them just betrayed them laughing saying it was their plan in the beginning. You should have seen the look on the faces of the people who were betrayed." She answered with a smile making ruby wonder how it was.

"So in the end we can't trust anyone…"

"Yes, no one can be trusted since if you do trust someone they might betray you and Sacrifice you in battle."

Ruby closed her eyes and knew what that meant. If you had fallen in battle and where in need of help you could be saved and continue to fight. But if you were sacrificed your soul and body would be used to active an ultimate attack costing the soul of the downed member. The cost would be their life, no second chances.

"Ruby are you ok? You seem to be in thought?"

"I'm fine master, just thinking about who I will be facing in the ordeal, since he is gone."

Her master just sat next to her and drank her tea before speaking

"Indeed who you face I know you will make me proud. But whoever you are put up against do not show any mercy, you must live to carry on your name. You're also my legacy as well since I taught you all I know and even some of magic, I also have a gift for you."

"What is it?"

"Now,now you will get it when you pass the ordeal." She told ruby but saw her look a bit sadden

"But what if I don't? What if die? She said wrapping her arms around herself thinking about her death and failing her master. I don't want to die not until I meet him again, I have to see him again."

Ruby's master just smiled as she walked over to ruby and pulled her into a hug,

"It's ok you will not die, and I'm proud that you want to see Tsukune again."

"Really?"

"Yes, since I can tell you want him dead for betraying Avalon. By killing him you will be doing a great thing since his life has no meaning now. His mother will also be happy to hear he will be killed, since he left her family's name in disgrace."

"You still visit her master?"

"Of course since Avalon is trying to get her back into doing quests but she seems to not care anymore now that her last member of the family is now seen as a traitor and will be killed on site if seen."

"What a life we live.. but it's the only way towards peace."

"Indeed ruby but you'll always have me. I'm your family now and forever, and nothing will ever change that."

Ruby relaxed into the hug taking comfort in her master's words.

"Yes master you're all I need in my life now."

Ruby trusted her master words since what reason did she have to lie to her now that she was all alone. It was four days until the ordeal and ruby was reading a book on sigils that had just been discovered. She smiled as she read seeing as these sigils would help give more power to sorcerers to end battles faster. But she was more interested in the rumor that was going around. The rumor was Avalon had just discovered new black rites but nothing was confirmed yet.

The front door opened and closed letting ruby know that her master was home. Ruby closed her book and went down stairs to see her master walking in looking tired.

"Master are you ok?" she asked worried about her master.

She just took a seat in the living room as Ruby brought a tray with tea for both of them. She poured her a cup and gave it to her.

"Thank you ruby."

She took a sip as ruby drank her own, they both stayed silent until.

"Master are you ok? You look a bit out of it?"

She only looked at ruby and smiled.

"Everything is fine I was called by Avalon to discuss a few things and one of them was about you."

"About me?"

"Yes, it's about your ordeal."

"My ordeal!?"

"Yes, your opponent has been decided for the ordeal. Tomorrow you will need to be ready for a fight that there will be no return from if you lose. "

"I understand.."

"Good girl, but I need you to promise me you will not feel or show any mercy, to whoever you face. If you even show the smallest hint of remorse you will be killed by your opponent."

"Don't worry master I will not hold back, and with my dark arm I will end my opponent's life and be a full sorceress like you!"

"Good girl, I will even ask Avalon to give you a new set of clothes once you complete the ordeal."

"Really? Then I will be asking for the same clothes as you since I will be taking over your place once I pass. Then you can finally take a long rest for taking care me all these years."

Ruby saw her master sigh.

"I would like that, I am really tired of all this fighting and fearing death while doing quest to make the world a better place. But I know It must be done since I know what I'm doing is right in my view."

Ruby looked at her master and saw her look outside the opened window. She walked next to her and saw the same kids from earlier all playing with a group of girls, before running off.

"This is what we try to protect Ruby."

"Huh? "

"We are protecting this peace and if we are seen as devils or sinners by others so be it. There is only one way to fully bring this world to peace and it's by putting an end to anyone that betrays or go against us. That is why we sacrifice the archfiends to make the world peaceful. By sacrificing we also please our goddess that Avalon is based on"

Ruby sighed agreeing with her master seeing as it was the way of Avalon and it was the way of the world. But their were other that were against the idea of killing and they had to be take care of for peace.

"I just wish we could have gotten through to Tsukune and the other divine user before they planned a cu to try and take us out."

She was just patted on the head by her master calming her down a bit.

"So do I, I did kind of see him as my son even with orders I thought you and him would make perfect partners. I would have asked Avalon to make sure you two not fight each other, but he had to be a traitor."

"Master I'm going to bed earlier to get ready for tomorrow."

"Very well ruby, good night and please sleep peacefully."

"I will and I hope you come to see me after my ordeal."

Ruby returned up stairs as her master pulled down her hood showing her face. She raised her hand to the right side of her face and traced it for a bit feeling the veins that came from her right arm. She closed her hand causing her arm to glow showing her the veins went up to her right shoulder..

"Sigh. Ruby once you start to grow in power your arm will begin to grow as well. Your arm will change your appearance and may even affect your state of mind. I hope you do what's right tomorrow since the ordeal might be you last battle."

She just took one final sip as she prayed for ruby, she decided it was time to turn in for the night. The next morning had come to fast for ruby as she was awoken front her sleep by her master. She was called down stairs, as she arrived she saw her master fully dressed in her old clothes.

"Master? Why are you dressed in your old clothes?"

She smiled and just spoke.

"Since it's time for the ordeal all grenadines are ordered to appear with their kids to see them pass or fail…"

Ruby heard say the last part with a sigh as she just nodded knowing why this day would either be a great day for some or horrible day for the ones that didn't pass the ordeal.

"Ruby are you ready to go?"

"Yes master, I'm going to make you proud!" She yelled with confidence walking out the door followed by her master.

They both left the house and saw other family's walking with some young teens and some that looked like mid twenty's.(A/N from what I read and played the ordeal was done as you neared adulthood. But I made the ordeal happen a bit earlier for some of them since with Tsukune betraying Avalon and with the cu happening they need more sorcerers and Sorceress and Raiments are special clothes they wear each with a different design look them up if you don't play ss)

They made their way into the village seeing many other people all dressed in different clothes and some even dressed in Raiments already. They knew they were getting ready for battle.

As they arrived at the castle they saw many families with their children standing at the ready waiting for leaders of Avalon. A few minutes past as no one said anything, ruby had a thought and looked at her master and saw her arm give a dark red glow.

"Master?"

"Yes ruby?"

"Who will I be facing?"

"I do not know, Avalon said they would have someone ready for you when it began."

"I see, I hope I do well." She replied with some fear in her voice but knew this had to be done since it was part of the code.

Before anything could be said a loud sound was heard making everyone look ahead seeing a few people appearing out of nowhere. Ruby saw they had red arms like her master but they were darker and she could feel the power from them.

"Welcome young ones. Spoke a female voice in cold tone sending a shiver down everyone's spine as she continued. Today is a very special day for all of you, the day you all the take the sorcerers ordeal with your partner!"

Ruby looked and saw a few people look happy and as they some people just looked at their partners with smiles. But what she found odd was that she saw some get a dark look in their eyes as they looked at their partner.

"I am glade that all of you are happy since the true purpose of the ordeal will now be reviled to all of you. Some of you young ones are friends,family,maybe even lovers, but none of that will matter now since in order to pass the ordeal."

Everyone looked ready to hear what they would need to do to pass the ordeal. Some looked worried at what they would have to do, others looked ready for anything, but when she spoke it caused an up roar.

"You, will need to kill your partner, only one of each group of two will live."

"What the hell you do you mean we have to kill our partners?!" Yelled a young girl as she looked at the girl next to her who had a frighten look on her face as others started to shout in rage. But a few stayed silent knowing the truth already.

Ruby saw that about half were rage and half didn't care since they were probably told by their families. she knew what the ordeal was for, to test your power and to see if you could kill your own partner someone close to you, someone that you spent moths even years with. Your partner, the person who you shared laughs and life with.

"Enough! Avalon will have none of your complaints this is what means it means to be from Avalon. None of you have a say and if you try to run you will be killed since Avalon has no need for weaklings. Now that the divine and neutrals are gone we will be the only ones to bring peace to the world and kill all the guilty and the horrible monsters that cover our world. None of you have a say in what will happen, now step into the portals."

The women raised her hand as a few portals appeared around them. No one entered refusing to enter but they heard screaming as they saw young girl being pulled by a young boy.

"Let me go! I don't want to go in there! Don't you know what will happen if we do?!"

The boy didn't answer as he pushed her into the portal as he walked in after her. Ruby saw the older teen's just sigh before they started to into portals in twos. They knew one of them would die but this was needed to be done for it was Avalon's way.

Ruby walked ahead into her own portal being transported to a random area of the castle.

"Where am I? She looked around her and walked a few steps forward and heard screaming around her.

"What!?" She looked and saw no one but continued to hear the yells of pain and the sound of what sound like people fighting. She began to think.

"I must be near the battlefields of the others who are taking part in the ordeal? But who is my opponent?"

She heard the sound of a portal opening behind her and just summoned a volt ax turning to see her opponent.(A/N the requiem in one's heart from Soul Sacrifice plays)

She looked at her opponent and couldn't believe who was standing in front of her with spears floating above.

"No,….. no, NO! why you! MASTER!"

Ruby's master didn't answer as she sent spears at her making her jump out of the way only to be met with venom fist sending her a few feet back. Ruby just got up and summoned a shield before speaking.

"Master why are you attacking me?!"

She didn't say anything as she ran at ruby destroying the shield in one move forcing ruby to jump back dodging another fist.

"If you keep running you wont be able to beat me ruby, you said you would beat your ordeal and become a full sorceress. Where you lying to me?" She asked as she recalled her ruby and just raised her right arm above her head cast a spell around her legs increasing her speed.

Ruby saw her run at her but now moving in in a red blur heading towards her. Ruby cast an offering letting out a roar sending a shock wave around her sending her master a few feet back as they looked at each other.

"Why are you my ordeal?!"

Avalon ordered me to make sure you would be ready since you friend Tsukune betrayed us. They thought who better than the women who raised you since I would be the best choice to test if you're really worthy of doing what it takes to be a true sorceress."

As she said this she started to walk forward as ruby took a few steps back.

"Why didn't you refuse!? There has to be another way?!" She yelled as she her master sigh as she ran ruby expecting her push her away or attack her but she didn't..

Ruby felt herself get hit over and over again as her master showed no mercy. She was thrown a few feet back coughing up blood as he master stood in front of her sighing.

"So are you really not even going to try fight me? So you really want to die?"

"There has to be another way please, I'll fight someone anyone but you!"

"You naïve girl! You need to learn to throw away you emotions! That is the only way you will be able to be of any use to Avalon!"

She grabbed her right arm and summoned a sword of venom.

"If you wont fight me then you have no reason to live."

"Master….But i."

"You're such a disappointment after all. Do you know Tsukune kept a journal?"

At the mention of Tsukune's name ruby looked at her master.

"He what?"

"Yes, I went through his stuff since he betrayed us. I found a journal and found out he has been keeping a few things from all of us. Yes he made sure not to write anything down on betraying us. But he left a letter."

She threw the letter at ruby who caught it and began to read.

"Tsukune, do not be afraid of who I am but I have an offer for you. I have heard that you and a few others do not believe sacrificing as a means to bringing peace. I believe the same, this is why I had a spy give you and others that I think would help my cause. Be warned do not show this to anyone unless you believe they can be trusted or unless you think they will want to join us. I can't go into detail about who I am or what I do. But I will be informed if you decided to tell Avalon of this letter, but I trust you will not do that. If you need to know who to trust look at your arm. One day I will come for you and the others. Be warned Avalon is up to something and users like you need to be careful my friend."

"p.s be worry of people that get close to you."

"This!?"

"That's the letter that he got from that women that he escaped with the day we tried to kill him."

Ruby's eyes widen as began to think about what she read and something in the letter made her think.

"Only show the letter to people you trust."

"He didn't trust me…"

"That's right you thought he was a good friend yet he hid this from you so he could stay alive. If he was really your friend he would of told you. Who is to say he just wasn't acting your friend, and he had the nerve to say you where the one pretending to be his friend."

Ruby didn't know what happen but she felt her arm pulse and for a moment she felt anger as the Souls in her right arm made her grab her arm in pain as she fell on her knees. She could feel it the rage and hate from the people that she had killed. She was always able to keep it under control but hearing her master and reading the letter she lost her self and saw darkness.

"Ruby are you ok?!" Rubys master asked as she was about to check on her but felt herself pierced by a few spears. She looked up grabbing her wound seeing ruby rise from the ground. She saw ruby arm pulsing red showing her veins dark red. Her arm began to transform as the arm wrapped its self around her entire arm up to her shoulder. She saw the veins start to show around Ruby's eye.

"The ordeal must be done." She said in a cold voice as she smiled summoning more spears around her.

"Ruby don't tell me you have been taken over by the rage of the fallen?"

She didn't answer she just threw the spears making her dodge with ease. She looked at ruby who just ran at her summoning a sword but it hid it from view.

"You think a child like you can beat me, using a venom sword? Are you forgetting I taught you how to use it?!" She summoned her own sword ran ruby colliding her sword with hers but was shocked that ruby had a sword of fire.

"You think I wouldn't carry a fire offering?" She replied as she saw her master look worried as she felt her sword of venom begin to burn.

"Tsukune was the one that told me to always carry a fire offering. He was worried that since my best element was venom that I would face someone better than me in the element so he gave me one of his fire offerings. Just like how I gave him one of my volt."

Ruby cut throw her master sword managing to slash across her chest causing blood to spill from her. She kicked ruby away as she got on one knee trying to stop her bleeding.

"Huff, huff,"

"Did it hurt? Well it won't last the long the ordeal wont be over till one of dies."

Ruby smiled as her arm begin to grow again. It wrapped around the right side of her face.

Ruby's master saw that Rubys right side of her face was now covered leaving her right eye untouched.

"I will try to end this as fast as I can master."

"Ruby! Don't let yourself give into the hate in your arm! If you do you will become a monster, you need to calm down!"

"Why should I? The hate and rage from my arm is what's giving me the will to fight you right now. Even thought my heart is trying to stop me, but it's no match for the hate and the rage of the peoples who souls are sealed in my arm."

Ruby's master saw the arm begin to grow again little by little.

I" will not lose her, she is all I have left and I wont let her give into the rage! Guess I have no choice but to take the souls in her arm."

She healed her wound and looked at Ruby only looked back at her with a cold stare. They didn't say anything they ran at each other as ruby held on to her sword and her master pulled out another sword of venom.

"Trying the same move again? it wont work!"

Ruby readied her sword but saw her master whisper and saw her arm glow as she disappeared from sight.

"What!? Where did she she?,,,,!"

She felt herself get slashed in the back as she quickly turned the sword and stabbed her master causing blood to pour as Rubys master felt Rubys sword go through her chest. She coughed blood as ruby fell to the floor.

Ruby's looked up to see her master covered in blood as she bent down to rubys level.

"So, your going to kill me make it fast then I knew I couldn't beta someone who had more power than me. Still you could dodged my blade yet you choose not to?"

She closed her eyes waiting to be killed but felt her right hand grabbed. She opened and saw a black ring around her master.

"What are you?!"

"I'm taking the souls in your right arm for myself that way you should at least return to normal. You are still too young to hold so many souls, that why I told to always make sure you save a few archfiends. It may be looked down on but Avalon doesn't want people going out of control. Don't worry you should be fine after I take them from you, you will feel better."

She coughed blood feeling herself grow weaker. As she managed to take a few of the souls from Ruby's arm she saw ruby's arm begin to turn back to normal. She only smiled as she felt she had taken enough of the souls from Rubys arm before she fell backwards landing on her back not hearing rubys yells. She saw nothing as her vision started to fade. She looked at the sword of fire in chest and saw small spores on it and smiled.

"Poison spore infused with the sword… i really did teach you well ruby." She said with a smile as she closed her eyes.

"Master!"

Ruby crawled over to her master and managed to get on her knees and see her face.

"Master I'm sorry I tried to sop myself but I couldn't control the rage and hate from the souls in my arm."

Ruby shed tear as she felt her master touch her cheek and saw that she was smiling at her.

"Don't worry about it since I was trying to kill you, it doesn't mater now since I don't have the strength in me to move. Ruby,"

"Yes?"

"You have made to the final part of the ordeal. I can no longer fight and I'm dying because of the poison in your sword and the fire doesn't help at all. Now finish the ordeal! Sacrifice me!"

She wanted to argue with her tell she wouldn't but she saw her face it was telling her not to disgrace the ordeal but to finish it. She could feel she was being watched by people. She knew they were from Avalon. She had no choice but to compile.

"Master….I'm sorry."

Ruby got on her feet stretched out her right arm and started. A black circle appeared around her and her master as the eye in the center of right hand opened. After a few moments she heard her start to cry in pain as ruby had started to take her soul from her body. She knew from what she read it felt like torture having your very soul ripped from your body but it was also a sort of punishment for the monsters or the people that needed to be killed for the ordeal.

"Haaaa!"

Ruby did one final tug as she shed her final tears as she pulled her arm back ripping out her master soul. She saw a small red orb fly into the air out of her master's chest. The orb flew in front of Ruby as she took hold of it with both hands.

"Master…"(music ends)

The soul then went into her right arm. She closed her eyes as she felt her master's soul fuse with her arm. She felt it she felt her master was now living in her right arm. With that is began when sacrificing an archfiend or ally you would gain there memories it was rare but at times their memories would be infuse with yours making you believe they were yours. She saw her masters memories just heard something next to her.

"A portal? I guess I pass… she said sadly as she walked towards the portal slowly taking each step as if it was her last. Her arm pulsed one final time as she looked over at her fallen master who chest was ripped open.

"Master… I'm sorry."

She walked through the portal one last time and found herself back where she had entered. She looked around and saw the rest of people that had taken part in the ordeal. Their number had been cut by half. She saw the same young girl that had been pushed into the first portal. She was covered in blood holding her right arm, she was crying just repeating the same words over and over again.

"I won't die….. I wont die. I wont die."

"She lived? I guess she had no choice."

Ruby saw many families happy that their children had passed but she saw the ones whose children had been killed. They didn't say anything some shed some tears as others just walked out of the castle.

"Congratulations to all those that have passed the ordeal! I'm sure you are all proud for passing and your families will be pleased as well. Now for those whose children have failed please leave, I have something to discuss with the family's and the new sorcerers."

It only took a few minutes to clear them out leaving them alone with the women that had started the ordeal.

"Now that the useless ones are gone I have something important to tell the winners. This info is for your ears only."

Ruby only paid attention as she was told something she would try to find. She was told about a threat to Avalon. That two new factions had been made, she didn't think it would matter since it would killing monsters easier. But she was proven wrong when they were told about them. One she knew all too well of since it was the one that her friend had left to join when he betrayed them.

"Sanctuary." she whispered as the women said the name out loud.

She was told that Sanctuary was their enemy since they broke the code and only believed in saving and following their gods teachings. Since they believed killing would lead to more hate. But in saving they gave people that had become monsters another chance of becoming monsters again. She knew by doing this the victims of the murdered would not get justice this was what she was told.

"Sanctuary is our enemies if you ever encounter one you are to kill them on sight! They will be the ones with the white and blue right arms around their bandages."

She only nodded with the rest of the people that had passed and heard more information on the third faction. They were known as grimm, a group of people that didn't believe in saving or sacrificing they felt it was up to them to leave it to luck weather the archfiends were save or killed. They refused to give the gods pleasure in what they did. They wanted humans to control the world and not for them to live by the rules of the gods. She was told they were of no threat to them since if they were left alone they wouldn't have problems. With all said and done they were dismissed told to go home.

Ruby saw the people around her leave, leaving her all alone as she had no place to go anymore seeing as her friend was a traitor and her master who she had seen as family was now dead and her soul was in her right arm. She looked at the sky raising her right hand over her head. She saw that her arm was normal for now but over time it would begin to change into a dark arm and she would be ready when the time came.

"Tsukune…" she said her friend name aloud suddenly feeling a bit of hate for him.

"All his fault, if he hadn't betrayed us I wouldn't have killed my master! But would I have been able to kill you? Or would you have let me win and die knowing I was alive. Tsukune…. If I meet you again I will follow our code and kill you, that's all I can do now Avalon is all I have left."

Flash back end

She just got from her bed and walked over to the window pulling down her hood. She looked out the window and saw the village that had grown over the years. She heard a knock on her door before it opened.

"Ruby, I was sent to get you." Ruby heard a female voice say.

Ruby knew that voice and only answered.

"The reason?"

"Don't know, but rumor says you and a few others will be sent on a mission to kill an archfiend. It's still in Avalon's domain for now. It needs to be killed before it enters Sanctuary's domain. If it enters Grimm's we should be fine unless they kill it first.."

"Then we need to report to the leaders of Avalon and ask them to tell Grimm to let us be the ones to kill the archfiend."

"They have already contacted Grimm's leader she said no, if the archfiend goes into her land they will be ones to take care of it. If we don't like it then don't come into their land."

"Sigh. Then we need to go to meet the leaders fast,"

Ruby pulled up her hood and followed the women that had been sent to get her. They both walked down the hall of the castle passing other sorceress and sorcerers that had come of age by passing their ordeal. A few minutes later she found herself standing between tall doors. Before she could knock she was told to enter.

"Yes!"

She pushed opened the doors and saw three other people waiting for her inside. She couldn't see who two of them were but the last one stood out with her sliver hair.

Ruby was told to approach as he and rest kneeled in front of the leaders of Avalon.

Unknown location

A young sorcerer was kneeling front of the women wrapped in bandages. Her adviser spoke as three more people had arrived.

"We have information that Avalon will be after an archfiend, but it will soon wander into Grimm's land. Grimm's land is neutral turf so it's whoever gets to the archfiend first."

"Will we be forced to fight Avalon? Asked one of the men."

"I would hope not we don't want them to capture one of us. We have a hard enough time trying to stay hidden from them. What we lack in power we make up in defense and our healing. But they can still over power us. Please just be careful and I'm telling you this but if it comes down to it the black rites are allowed to be used."

They all stiffen as a female raised her hand to her right eye.

"Now go! we must save the archfiend from Avalon!"

"Yes lady sympathy!"

They all rose and walked away from her as a young man was about to leave as well.

"Tsukune a word?"

Tsukune turned to meet Sympathy who looked at him as he pulled down his scarf.

"Yes my lady?"

"If you encounter your old friend."

"She is not my friend and she never was my lady. As far as I know I was just a pawn to her and Avalon and the feelings I had died when I found the truth about her and about myself. I shouldn't have trusted her I should of heeded your warning when you told me to watch my back."

"Do you still hate what you are?" she asked with worry.

"I do not, I came to terms with what I found out years ago."

Sympathy walked over to Tsukune and just looked at him.

"If you ever need a friend talk to I'm here."

He smiled as he saw her smile at him.

"Thank you my lady it a kind offer and I might take it up, but I must be going my team needs me."

"Very well, be careful and comeback alive please."

"I will."

Tsukune left her alone walking down the hall seeing the other three members of the team he would be on.

"Everyone make sure you get ready we leave in one hour!"

"Yes!"

They left to get ready as Tsukune sighed looking at the torches lighting up the area.

"We must save the beast before Avalon gets to it."

And done weird I updated to soon anyway what did you think? Next chapter will be about Tsukune's ordeal and how he gained entrance into Sanctuary and people from grimm will be shown. And no Yukari is not the leader of grimm, now here is a bit on info on ss. Legend says that their exist a chalice known as the sacred chalice that grant you anything your hearts want but in order to use it you must make an even sacrifice. But the result is not always what you would hope for. The chalice only appears to those that crave something but they must have the right sacrifice. Many call it a myth or fake tale.

Now as for ruby her hate for Tsukune still burns for betraying her and her having to kill her master. Butt what was tsukunes ordeal and what did he find out? Next chapter will be called sin of a mother and the child. As for the sliver haired girl bet some are thinking it moka but is it? Will I include her and the others bu in different factions to add drama to it.

Now as for the arms Avalon has dark arms that increase their power but by increasing them they lose defense and healing powers. The more he arm is raised thet more it changes from normal to a darker arm with red veins not even looking like a part of them anymore.

Sanctuary is made of Divine users they are good in healing and deafens but lack in power. There arms start of as normal but as their power goes up their arm changes to a ligh blue arm. Now as I leave you I leave the tale of how the jack frost was born since I mentioned him in the first chapter. Worry not he will be shown later maybe. And no flames

Jack frost

A great chill had set in. And some hardy knights were on the verge of freezing to death. As the fierce blizzard roared, their world was shrouded white.

Several days prior, their lord issued a direct order so unthinkable it stunned them all to silence.

"I want you to repel winter."

For no other reason than he disliked the cold, did he issue this selfish command. But despite his foolishness, the knights were duty bound. They could do nought but great bewilderment, they wondered how they could turn back an enemy as improbable as winter.

To begin their quest, the knights marched north, where the cold was thought to originate. They were whipped mercilessly by frigid air, which they deemed an attack from their great foe.

"If we continue to overcome these arctic blasts, winter will run in fear," they assured themselves. To justify their foolish charge, they resolved to believe such nonsense.

Fervently, they continued north. On they marched to colder climes. Until finally, even the robust knights had reached their limits. They knew it all along. A quest to repel winter was utter folly. Having already challenged the enemy, they faced the truth once more. Winter was not a foe easily fought. Then, amidst the howling snowstorm, they heard a voice. Before their very eyes, thereappeared a chalice.

"If you pay a suitable price, I will grant your wish."

In a daze, they nodded their assent.

Moments later, they felt the cold no longer. They turned to look at each other only to suffer a great shock. To a man, all of their flesh was stripped away, with each knight's very being transformed.

They were perfectly adapted to the cold now. In fact they had become the cold itself. No longer could they be menaced by what they had become.

As beings akin to winter, they finally understood. Whatever aims or intentions winter holds...Are beyond human ken. For the knights, winter was no longer an obscure notion. Nor a thing to be feared. Not anymore.

Despite paying the price with their humanity, the knights began to laugh with great satisfaction.

To repel the cold, they became the cold itself.

Now, they are all known by the name Jack Frost... not so much monster but more a form of inclement weather
