Last chapter! What, what!

"I love you Mark." I smiled.

"I love you Saph." Mark smiled back. We stared into each other's eyes for a few moments longer before I ran off into the fight. I immediately locked onto Jake, who was mercilessly beating down everyone around him. I have to take him down before he ruins everything! Sprinting to him, I felt each footstep took me closer to my vengeance. Now you'll finally pay for that night! A sly smile ran across my face, as I was less than ten feet away from this monster. His red eyes and ferocity reminded me of Mark when he was injected with the Ultra S7 formula. That must have been what happened to him I made a mental note before engaging the enemy.

"HEY ASSHOLE!" I yelled and Jake's head whipped around and his crimson eyes pierced into my emerald ones. Glad to see he answers to 'asshole' I smirked to myself.

"What to you want?" Jake spat, his voice gravely and almost unfamiliar.

"You, dead" we took our fighting stances. It felt like we were in an old Western movie, the good guy vs. the rouge bandit.

Using his newly enhanced stretchy powers, Jake flung his arm at me. As it raced by my head, just missing it, I noticed that the edge of his arm was as sharp as a blade and it was quickly retracted.

"Now it's my turn" I smiled before closing my eyes and concentrated deeply on my new form. I felt my body begin to grow and stretch. My skin became hard with scales and large wings formed on my back. Glinting claws and fangs replaced my toes and teeth. When the transformation was complete, I opened my green, reptilian eyes. I had successfully become a Wyvern (A/N: A Wyvern is a smaller species of dragons)! I had doubled my height and now stood above Jake, who's red eyes never wavered for an instant.

"You think I'm impressed? I'm still going to kill you…but not before I have a little fun" Jake laughed maniacally. This guy is impossible! I let out a harsh screech before I ran at him. He quickly melted into a puddle and reformed as soon as I ran over him. Dammit! I'm not going to be able to beat him if he can just dodge me the entire time! Wait…. I opened my mouth and focused on a growing warmth in the pit of my stomach. The heat soonoverflowed into my mouth. A huge burst of flame came straight at Jake and there was no way he could escape. Gotcha! The fire hit it's target directly and Jake fell to the ground screaming and flailing. I turned around and turned back into my human form when he finally ceased moving, refusing to look at his burned and blackened body. Jake and Sebastian down! I think we sti- my thoughts were stopped when I saw that less than half of our forces were still standing. Our people were dropping quickly; thankfully I didn't spot one of my friends lying on the ground with the dead. I didn't want to do this, but I think we have to resort to plan B. I just hope that Cry and Will are still doing ok. As I looked around the crowds, I saw a group of ten students running back from inside the office building. Their faces were drenched with shock, worry, and confusion. What the hell?! Those are the guys that are supposed to guard Ms. Wattman! Why have they abandoned their post?! I called over to them and they ran over to me.

"What the hell?! Why are you guys here?! You're supposed to be watching Ms. Wattman!" I yelled and they looked around at each other before one of the boys stood forward.

"Saph, Ms. Wattman is dead."

My heart felt as if a knife was stabbed into it. I put a hand on my chest and stumbled backwards for a second.

"I-I'm so sorry Saph. We were fighting them off when…one slipped in and…he had a knife…" the boy trailed off, not sure of what to say.

"Saph we have to go to plan B. We have no choice if we continue on this path then we'll lose!" This time a girl spoke.

"We'll lose either way, killing them all wouldn't be a victory when we've already lost so much." I'm beginning to lose hope in this whole thing. I don't even know if any of my friends are still alive. For all I know they could have been killed a long time ago. My mind began to sink deeper and deeper into a depression that I'm not sure I can get out of.

"Saph listen to me! If we let them win now then the world will pay the price! I'd rather lose by winning than let them win from us losing!" Her voice finally reached my inner depths and I stood up.

"Let's do this…we have to find Cry and Will first. Tell everyone you find to be ready to sprint to Cry." I instructed and they scattered throughout the courtyard. After taking a look around the crowds of people still fighting, I spotted Cry and Will fighting off two Order members at once…well Cry was fighting off two Order members at once. I morphed into a cheetah and sprinted to them in only a few seconds. I launched myself onto one of them and clawed their back until they stopped resisting. Cry turned invisible and quickly took out the other member. Once the second body hit the ground I turned to a human and turned to face Cry.

"Cry…we're losing. We have to commence plan B, I'm sorry." I said gently as I could, trying not to upset him. He nodded and I let out a sigh of relief.

"EVERYONE GET TO CRY, PLAN B!" I screamed and everyone looked up. The remaining resistance members ran as fast as they could and huddled near Cry. Some stayed behind to carry the injured to safety. Many of the "injured" could have been dead for all I knew. The Order members regrouped on the other side of the courtyard; mumbling and confused they stared at the growing group of resistance members. I darted my head around and searched for the rest of my friends. I quickly spotted Cry, Ken, Adam, Ty, Yami, Minx, Felix, and Marzia. Whew… that was close! Wait… where's Mitch and Jerome? I searched the rest of the clearing and finally spotted Mitch carrying Jerome on his back. I ran up to them once they were in the circle of people.

"Mitch, what's wrong with Jerome?" I asked. Mitch let Jerome off his back and showed me his blood soaked shoulder.

"He got hit with a sword." Mitch said, guilt clear in his voice.

"We need to get that patched up soon or else he'll bleed out!" I winced.

"Don't worry, I'm on it." He nodded and I backed away. I stopped in my tracks when I realized that someone was missing. Mark! I gasped.

"HURRY I'M GOING TO PUT UP THE FORCE FIELD UP SOON!" I heard Cry shriek and my blood turned to ice. I looked over to the Order army and saw that they were ready to attack us.

"Cry NO! Mark is still out there!" I cried.

"Saph they're going to attack any second! I can't lose both of you!" Ignoring his instruction, I began to run away from the crowd, but not before I smashed into a nearly invisible wall.

"I'm sorry Saph, I have to do this!" Cry said through gritted teeth.

"NOOO!" I screamed, smashing my fists against the barrier, "I'D RATHER DIE THAN LIVE WITHOUT HIM. LET ME OUT!" A few people came from behind and pulled me away from the wall. I flailed and kicked and screamed but I didn't try to escape. There truly was no hope left for me.

"ATTACK!" I heard a voice call and the remaining Order members began to pound against the invisible barrier.

"WILL, YOU HAVE TO CREATE THE EXPLOSION NOW!" Cry was shaking from the effort of keeping the force field intact. But Will was completely still, his eyes shone with horror and fear.

"WILL, DO IT NOW" Cry called out once again, but louder. Will snapped out of his dazed and raised his arms in concentration.

"EVERYONE SHIELD YOUR EYES!" Cry yelled and everyone ducked for cover.

"NOO!" I screamed for what felt like the millionth time. A huge veil of white light expanded over us and the Order member's shouting cries ceased. I removed my hands from my face to see that a huge meteor sized crater was where Wattman's Institution for Powerful Individuals once stood. We sat on a huge pillar made of earth that stuck strait up from the middle of the impact point. Everything was gone…Mark was gone. I hung my head in defeat and the people previously holding me back now let me fall to my knees. My tears flowed from my blurry eyes and dripped onto the small patch of grass that lay before me. My legs and arms were trembling uncontrollably and at this point I could no longer control my sobs. I looked over the edge of the platform that fell into the deep crater. I wonder if I could die from falling from this height, just to end it all.

Suddenly, a faint glow began to emit from the grass near me. As the moments passed, the glow intensified and grew to over five feet. The light formed itself into what appeared to be a human body. The image of the creature began to get sharper and sharper until I could make out individual characteristics: spiky black hair, glasses, and the chocolate brown eyes I fell in love with stuck out the most.

"Mark!" I cried and ran into his arms as the glow faded from his form.

"Saph! You're ok!" Mark embraced me and gave me a kiss on the forehead. I was finally able to hold it together once I was safe in his arms. I pulled away so he could see everyone else.

"You guys are all ok!"

"Well Jerome's a little scrapped up." Mitch mentioned to the shirtless man lying on the ground with his shirt tied around his wound.

"I'll be fine, just need to get this patched up." He smiled.

"So we're all ok then?" Cry walked over to the group.

"Yeah, but Mark how did you come back?" Ty asked.

"I guess I just morphed into the energy of the explosion! Cool right?" Mark chuckled.

"That's amazing, anyway, great job on the force field Cry!" Ken patted him on the back.

"Well I almost lost it for a second there, but I pulled through."

"You did more than pull through! You saved us Cry!" Felix ran and gave Cry a big hug. Then everyone burst into a fit of laughter.

"So, what do we do now?" Adam brought up the point.

"Well, we can call a taxi or bus and head back to the airport." Mark suggested.

"What about everyone else?" asked Marzia.

"They can tag along until we get to the airport." Minx grinned. Ty called up a couple cabs to pick all of us up and they arrived about and hour later. Mark opened the door to let me in the right side then climbed in after me. The car door closed and I felt as if I just closed the door on a past life.

"Saph, I was wondering…since you don't have a place to stay…would you come live with me?" Mark asked, his eyes twinkling despite the dim lighting in the cab.

"Of course I will, Mark." I laughed. As we drove away from the crater, the former school, and from our former lives. As I placed my head on Mark's chest and closed my eyes, we were heading for a bright new future…I could just feel it.
