Murkuro rested her head on the hard wood of the cafeteria table. She could barely keep her eyes open, much less raise her head to see who had slammed the door open just then.

"Yo!"

Just from that, she plunked her head down even harder. Leon Kuwata. She definitely knew that voice.

"Murkuro-chan, it's just you?" Leon laughed, sitting across from her and poking her in the head.

"... Leave me alone..." Was all she could manage.

"Whoa, are you okay?! You'd usually punch me, now I'm really worried!" Leon chuckled, still not taking her seriously.

"Can you please... leave..."

Leon crossed his arms and turned away. "Anyways, I was wondering if you had the math homework. I couldn't understand any of it! It was like it was written in another language. I mean, you're pretty smart, did you have any trouble?"

Murkuro didn't respond, but Leon went on and on anyways, telling her the juicy details of what had happened during his last baseball game. She didn't care... she didn't care... she was just too tired to care, anyways.

"So, yeah, the homework. You have it, right?" Leon asked, pulling her enormous stack of books close to him so he could look through them.

Murkuro's head shot up and she quickly yanked the stack back to her and held them with a fiery look in her eyes.

"Do not touch my belongings," She growled.

As quick as she had flared up, Murkuro died back down. She went limp, and her head fell back to the table again.

"Man, you're exhausted, aren't you? I dunno what you do late at night, but...killer stuff, huh?" Leon ogled, leaning over her.

There was a dainty snore, and Leon guffawed. "You snore?!"

Murkuro looked up, in embarrassment. "No, it just..."

"That was actually kind of... cute," Leon sighed, wiping a tear from his eyes.

"Cute?" Murkuro repeated.

"Tell you what, its cold here. I could walk you back to the dorms if you want."

"What about school?"

"One, it's only 5 o' clock. Two..." Leon grinned. "It's a Saturday."

Murkuro was too tired to yell. Instead, she just muttered, "Stupid..." under her breath. Leon helped her up and they walked back to the dorms, Leon lecturing her on his many affairs, and Murkuro occasionally thumping him on the head, although lightly. When they reached the dorms, Murkuro was even more exhausted than before, but she was still a little happier. Leon walked her up the stairs, letting her lean into his chest as they went along, finally stopping at her door.

"Well, here we are," Leon sighed. "Guess that's it."

"Yeah... Leon, I'll see you tomorrow," Murkuro said, looking away.

"Sure," Leon replied, waving as he turned around and left.

Murkuro followed his spiky, orange hair with her eyes until he turned the corner. It was only a matter of time before she fell asleep, though, and she wasn't sure if it was due to sleep deprivation or some other hallucination, but for just an instant...

Leon seemed mature, she thought. He was cute, too... She sighed, a bit happier. It was the small moments in life, really, that left her breathless.
