Thor awoke in a dark room reaching up to rub the back of his head. Blinking slowly trying to focus on the only light in the room coming from the fireplace, a shadow figured was standing near the light. Thor looked around, the room was small nothing like the palace. Getting to his feet he staggers over to the figure in the room.

"Who are you, why have you taken me?" Thor bellowed out still putting his hand to his head.

The voice that replied was soft and calm which shocked Thor.

"Sorry I had to do that. I needed to talk to you and I knew you wouldn't believe me if you saw me." She turned to look at him.

"SIF! Why?" Thor gasped.

"No, I'm not your Sif. It's too much to explain, but I'm here to make sure you don't allow Loki to use the Time Orb he has received."

Thor was confused with what she was saying. Not his Sif, Time orb? What was all this she was talking about? Questioning her now would only cause more confusion.

"What do you want me to do?" Thor asked her.

"Get the orb away from him. If he uses it then we will all relive this again and be living in a loop of hell." She explained.

Thor knew that wasn't going to be easy but living in a loop of hell would be much worse. Seeing Asgard under attack each day, it was not something anyone would want to see.

"I will do what I can. It will not be easy to get from him. Do you have any ideas?" He looked up at her wondering.

"I am unable to help you. I'm only an illusion, I can pick up object here but I can not touch anyone." She said sadly.

Thor reached out to touch her arm as his fingers went through her like she was a ghost. He took a stop back not sure what to think of all this.

"How is this possible?" Thor asked.

"Thor your brother can create any illusion he wants just as your mother. Just trust me when I say I'm here to help but you need to do this, you're the only one strong enough to get it from him." Sif pleaded.

Thor nodded as the illusion of Sif vanished the lights came on and he realized he was in his room. With a deep sigh he looked out over the balcony taking Mjolnir up in his hand starting to swing it around taking to the air.

Loki spent many hours fixing the Time Orb, after getting the one gear fixed he wondered if that was all that needed to be done. Setting it back in the box the orb all of a sudden became active and started spinning. Seren came up behind him chatting to herself Loki quickly shut the box not wanting her to be concerned with what he was doing. He thought at that moment what if he didn't remember all this and repeated his mistakes? He tried to shake off that idea and stood up from the table putting the box back in the pouch. Tying the pouch to his belt he looked out the window seeing Thor land outside.

Thor was never normally in a hurry these days, Loki found it odd that he would fly over to him this way. He walked outside to him with a worried look.

"Thor, is something wrong?" Loki asked.

"Loki this Orb you have, you can not use it." Thor demanded

Loki rolled his eyes at the idea of Thor telling him what to do now.

"Thor don't tell me what to do, you haven't lived my life and seen the things I've seen. " He said sadly

"Why should that matter? Is your life more important than those of Asgard? If you use this Orb you could kill people again or make things worse. Is that what you want?" Thor argued

"You know I don't want that. Thor I haven't decided if I'm going to use it or not. Asgard is my home I wouldn't do anything to harm it or the people that live here." Loki yelled to him

Thor started to get a bit upset knowing he wasn't getting through to Loki. He pulled Mjolnir up in his hand ready for battle if Loki wasn't to listen to him.

"Loki, hand it over and we will have no more concern." Thor demanded again.

Loki saw Thor was ready for battle he couldn't believe after all they had been through he would choose to fight him. He knew fighting would get them nowhere but maybe pleading with him to understand would.

"You would truly fight me just for one artifact? You have no idea what this Orb does and you need to trust me for once. I have lived my life in your shadow trusting you it's time for you to trust me." Loki seemed to plead to him.

Thor lowered Mjolnir as his angered expression left him. Loki was right, Thor had never truly trusted him it was time he had done that. Thor nodded to him with a peak of sadness.

Loki smiled a bit and walked past Thor patting his shoulder. Loki had no idea what he was going to do but it was now or never. Pulling out the box from the pouch he opened it as Thor walked up to him. The orb shined and whistled as Loki picked it up holding it in his hand.

"It's do or die time Thor, I want to make things better for all of us." Loki said.

Thor nodded stepping back from his brother as the orb shinned brighter. Loki thought of Asgard and starting over when a loud whistle came from the orb Loki shut his eyes and held his hand high up above him.

The moment Loki opened his eyes he saw he was back in the palace the great hall during Thor's ceremony from almost 2 years ago. Right as Odin was about to give him Asgard Loki stopped and remembered the Jotun's. As they arrived at the Weapons Vault Loki stayed silent watching Thor act out. He knew all this had to take place once again. He remembered that Thor said being banished for that time was the best thing for him.

That afternoon he saw Thor in one of the dining halls. Reenacting the same way he did before, tricking him to go to Jotunheim. But this time Loki knew what he was and how to fight them. Leaving Laufey alone and knowing he was no threat to them in the future.

After they got back to Asgard Loki saw Thor get banished to midgard, after that he knew he was free to act differently. He might be a god of mischief but he didn't need to be the one to destroy a race.

When Odin went into his Odin sleep he took the throne but this time when the warriors came to him he told them what had happened.

"Loki, you can't be serious, why would you do that to Thor on his day?" Frandall asked.

Loki walked down to the lower steps of the throne.

"I only wanted to play a joke I never thought he would take it so seriously. I know now it was wrong and once Father wakes I will get Thor back. Until then we must wait." Loki explained.

"Wait! Wait for what? The Jotuns to come in to Asgard again?" Sif argued

"No, they can't come in unless I allow it. And I won't allow it." Loki said

"You won't allow it, Loki you already allowed it." Frandall argued

"Please just stop, we only need to wait. I'm king now and I ask you to wait." He said as he walked back up to the throne.

The warriors left the great hall making their plans to go to earth. Walking out to the balcony he saw the bifrost being used. Making him upset that they wouldn't listen to him he went down to the destroyer.

"Bring the warriors back don't kill anyone just scare them back here to Asgard." Loki told it.

As all the same things transpired on Earth that did before Loki was wondering if he made the right choice. Now he knew when Thor came back he wouldn't fight him. As he sat there on the Thone thinking this Thor ended up in front of him.

"LOKI! What are you doing?" Thor asked in a demanding tone

Loki stood up and slowly walked down to him.

"Father is in the Odin sleep I have only taken his place while you were gone. " He said

"Why did you send the destroyer to kill our friends?" Thor yelled.

"I asked it to stop them not to harm them. I told them to wait till Father awoke before going for you. They didn't listen it was too large of a risk for people to see them there. But now that you are back I give you this." Loki holds out odins staff.

Thor took the staff as Loki smiled and walked by him. He knew where he wanted to go now, with his royal armor vanishing and leaving him in his normal garb he took Slepnir and road out to the shack that seren lived in. Approaching it he saw just one small candle in the window. He softly smiled and jumped off Slepnir to walk up to the door. Knocking softly Seren answered in shock.

"Prince Loki! What do I owe this visit way out here?" She bowed her head.

With a smile he raised a basket that he had in his hands to give to her.

"This is for you my dear, you may not know me but I owe you my life. And I promised you I would never forget your kindness." Loki said with a smile.

Seren took the basket uncovering it she saw all the food inside it. A smile as wide as a river came over her face as she jumped into Loki's arms to hug him.

"Thank you so much, you have no idea how much this means to me." She said to him.

"You have no idea how much you mean to me." He whispered.
