As the time for lunch drew closer, Leo looked at the clock frequently, looking anxious.

"What's wrong?" Ivan asked, growing concerned.

Leo bit his lip, hugging his stuffed bear closer.

"My big brother said he was gonna come have lunch with me, but what if he forgot? He left me again earlier," Leo mumbled, hiding his face in his bear's fur.

"Why would he forget?"

Leo shrugged. "Feli forgot about me. He's my little big brother."

"Feli's your brother?"

"Sorta. Lovi said he's gonna be my big brother, and Feli's his brother, so Feli's also my brother."

Ivan thought about this for a minute before his expression brightened. "When he comes, you can bring him to eat lunch with me and Big Sister? It will be fun, da?"

Leo smiled softly. "That sounds nice."

The lunch bell rang just then, startling Leo into hiding further in Ivan's corner, out of sight of the loud students running around the room. After a couple minutes, Ivan and Leo were the only students left in the classroom. Normally, at this point, Ivan would leave to have lunch with his older sister. Today, however, he would not leave without Leo, which meant waiting for Leo's older brother.

A few minutes later, Lovino ran into the room, looking around frantically. Lukas helpfully pointed him toward Ivan's corner. The boy ran over quickly and, pushing past Ivan, enveloped Leo in a hug.

"I'm so sorry, Leo! Toni was causing problems again and I had to help Bella break up the fight and I'm sorry I'm late!" he babbled, frustrated with himself for almost not keeping his promise.

"Lovi? You came?" Leo said softly, looking up.

"Of course I did! I promised, didn't I? Now come on, let's go!" Lovino huffed, standing and pulling Leo along.

"Um… I promised Ivan we'd eat with him and his sister. Is that okay?" Leo asked timidly.

"Er… I guess? Who's Ivan?"

Leo pointed to his new friend, who was staring at the pair curiously.

"Vanya! Where are you? It's time for lunch!" a new voice called from the door. Ivan's expression brightened at seeing the girl standing there.

"Big sister! Come meet my new friend!" he said, running over to pull his sister into the room. "The small one is Leo, and the other one is his big brother!"

"Oh! I'm Katyusha, nice to meet you! It's so nice to see that Vanya has a friend, I was getting worried," the girl said, smiling at Leo and Lovino.

"Can we eat in here, Lovi? I don't want to leave the room," Leo said quietly.

"Sure," Lovino agreed.

The four sat down at one of the tables with their lunches. As they ate, Katyusha chattered on about her morning while the others listened politely, Leo leaning against Lovino's side. When the bell signaling the end of lunch rang, Lovino and Katyusha got up to leave. Leo gave his brother one last hug before returning to Ivan's corner. Ivan followed the older two out the door. Once in the hallway, he tugged on Lovino's sleeve to get his attention.

"Earlier, Leo was upset. He didn't think you would come for lunch because you left him earlier. Don't upset him anymore," Ivan said sternly before smiling brightly and returning to the classroom.

As Lovino returned to his own class, he cursed himself for leaving so abruptly that morning. He'd have to talk to Bella and the others to make sure he didn't called away from time with Leo to break up Antonio's fights anymore.

AN: As promised, an actual chapter. Still not very long, I'm sorry for that. I'll try to do regular-ish updates from now on, but no promises. I have a few other stories I need to update as well, and college, and NaNoWriMo. I currently have no beta-reader, although I'm hoping to find one at my creative writing club next week.
