Hey guys, here's a little story I wrote in study hall today. Hope you enjoy.

It was a cool fall saturday morning in Pallet town and everyone was gathering at the small white church in the center of town.

Everyone was dressed in black.

At the front of the church sat an old man, his five year old grandson, and two caskets. But he had to stay strong for the little boy.

A small four year old girl with black hair pulled up in a pony tail and scars on her face pushed her way up front and took the little boys hand.

He looked at her, crystal tears in his eyes and she offered a sad smile as he turned and hugged her.

She let him cry on her shoulder, she didn't care if the tears ruined her new dress.

He was her prince, her knight in shining armor.

And he was broken.

So if it took letting him cry on her shoulder to fix him, like he had done for her thousands of times before in their short life's then she would do so.

Though something in her heart told her he would never be whole again, and may be broken forever, she would still try to help him make his armor shine again.

Who cared about a few cracks, scratches, and scars anyway?

She didn't.

Finally the boy looked at the girl in the eyes, his green ones slightly dulled with sadness.

"Y-You know what my grandpa said, Ash?" The boy said and looked between the caskets and his grandfather before looking back at the girl. "He said that when that bad Pokémon zapped mommy and daddy they stopped breathing and that's why they left. They stopped breathing..." the boy cried, his spiky brown hair getting in his eyes as he looked at his feet. Ash hugged him again.

"It'll be okay Gary. You still have your grandpa. And me. And my mommy. We're still here with you." Ash said. Gary looked at her in the eyes with more seriousness than a normal five year old should have.

"Ash will you promise me something?" He asked. Ash nodded.

"Of course, anything!" She said.

"Promise me you won't stop breathing! Mommy and Daddy left because they stopped breathing. So promise me you'll keep breathing for me! Because if you keep breathing you can't leave me right? At lease not forever." Gary said. Ash smiled at Gary.

"Of course I'll keep breathing. But only of you keep breathing to, okay? I don't want you to leave me either." Ash said. Gary nodded.

"Then it's a promise, we'll keep breathing for each other and never leave the others side forever!"

Ash giggled.

"Forever..."
