A/N: I lied. I got it done tonight. So here is chapter 8.

Chapter 8: Reflections

Wufei gazed out over the desolate landscape.

Once lush green was now a dead brown.

Even the waters seemed murkier.

It was a depressing sight and Wufei was thoroughly disgusted with it. His mood was made worse when he thought about how it was like this everywhere on Earth now; there was no escape except for the Colonies and the Colonies no longer welcomed anyone from Earth, even if they were born there to begin with. It was exile.

For once in his life, Wufei felt utterly alone and it was not a pleasant feeling.

Not knowing what else to do, he hopped into his Gundam and tried to triangulate Heeo's current position by searching for his fellow Oriental's laptop signal. It wasn't exactly his forte, but he knew enough to get an acurate enough reading to pinpoint the Japanese boy's general location.

Writing down the cordinents, Wufei grabbed his bag and headed off to Southern England.

July 17, 195 A.C.

Not much has happened in the last two days. In fact, it's been kind of dead. No pun intended.

I've gotten to know Quatre and Trowa's friends a bit more, not that I had much choice. Don't get me wrong, I like Heero and Duo, especially Duo, he reminds me of the twins. It's just that, after the laying of the eggs, no one is willing to let me do much. On the other hand, there's not much else to do. We're in the middle of nowhere next to a dead forest.

The others had gone as far as they could to nearby villages and towns for supplies. The better food being placed under preservation spells to keep from spoiling any farther than they already had and clothing being cleaned as well as possible with cleaning spells. I'm not willing to go as far as I'd need to gather supplies to talking and trying to come up with games that can be re-constructed.

We currently have a chess set, checkers set and game that had been based off of one seen in a video game and changed a bit to make it more unique.

Trying to get Heero to talk is like pulling teeth with string! On the plus side though, I'm quickly becoming 'bilingual'. I can now translate Heero's grunts and hums to yes and no questions; they're usually 'no'.

Heero's glares are another language all their own and is much harder to learn then the grunts and hums.

On an even brighter note, Duo and the twins have become insepritable. They are now officially the second generation of 'Marauders'. Remus and Sirius think it's absolutely hilarious and help out on some of their pranks, on the conditions they pull anything on them. Of course those two didn't have to worry, the Marauders favorite vic...er, target is Ron, Hermione and Ginny.

After what had happened two days ago with Ginny attacking Draco and our eggs...they haven't been all that popular with over half of the group.

Rashid loves children and he and the other Arabian adults are very protective of any whether their theirs or not. Remus and Sirius nearly gave the three of them new ones for putting the eggs and me in so much danger by pulling her wand and Snape wasn't too happy that his own godson was physically assaulted. The other Weasley boys, though they don't like Draco on principal, have no personal grudges agenst him and they like me and I like him so they gave me their full support.

The cave is officially mine and Draco's. The others 'moved out' yesterday but set their tents up near the rock out-of-the-way of the mouth so they're close if something happens. I think we all needed a bit of privacy with our lovers (though Draco and I haven't done anything since the snogg that first day T-T). Oh well. Draco has been a wonderful mate none-the-less.

He's been bringing me my meals so I can rest and get my feet back under me and yesterday he brought back a bunch rocks, sticks, dirt and vegetation to make a proper nest/pen for the eggs, a bunch of sleeping bags, pillows and blankets for our own bed and cleared out some of the smaller rocks and dust to make a fire pit for cooking.

Harry looked over to the bundle of eggs half hidden under leaves and grass and smiled brightly. He may have been surprised to find he was carrying eggs, but now that he had them, he was excited to be a parent. It was even better knowing Draco would be right there with him.

I can't wait for the eggs to hatch. We've been keeping a close eye on them to make sure they got regular high and low heat. With the shells being so soft, they're easily damaged and susceptible to the elements so we need to make sure they harden quickly but don't boil the embryos inside.

It's lunch now and Draco is giving me a look so I need to go now before he decides to take matters into his own hands; literally.

Harry set his journal aside and smiled up at his mate.

Draco snorted at his "I'm-so-innocent-just-look-at-me" face and set the plate of cut fruit, cold meats and cheese slices with a crust of bread on the raven's lap, a cup of milk floating next to him. It was a very medieval. There wasn't much, they were running out, but Harry had never eaten much anyway.

They ate in compatible silence and just enjoyed each other's company.

A/N2: This chapter sucks and it's short. It was more a filler then anything but at least we got a glimpse of Wufei and he should be showing up within the next couple chapters. Not sure when but he'll be here; eventually.
