I HAVE FINALLY RETURNED! I apologize for the long, LONG wait! I've kind of forgotten where this story was going so I might be doing some editing and some things may seem a little off, but I'll try my best!

"It's really nice out today!" A certain brown-haired mafia boss stretched out on the rooftop of Namimori High, sighing in content under the warm sun and clear blue sky.

"It is, isn't it." Gokudera leaned against the fence surrounding the perimeter of the roof. The guardians were overcome by a sense of laziness, possibly due to the comforting weather.

"Relaxing like this once in a while isn't so bad." Yamamoto agreed cheerfully. Next to him, Ryohei announced. "Relaxing to the extreme!"

"Geez, onii-chan, you're too loud!' Kyoko giggled next to Haru, who was forcefully attempting to get Gokudera to try one of her bentos.

"Indeed he is." Mukuro sighed in annoyance. Besides him, Chrome was eyeing Haru's bento with a hungry eye. Haru seemed to notice this and was by her side in an instant.

"Are you hungry, Chrome-chan?" Haru pressed up against the female Mist guardian. "U-Um, no, I'm.." Chrome stammered in embarrassment.

Tsuna laughed, but he was soon interrupted by the loud slamming of the door to the rooftop.

"Mwahahaha! The great Lambo has arrived!" A curly-haired, green-eyed boy announced his entrance proudly.

"Lambo?!" Tsuna exclaimed.

"What are you doing here, you stupid cow?!" Gokudera grabbed the cow by the head angrily.

"You can't have a party without Lambo!"

"This isn't a party!"

"Just let poor Lambo down already!' Haru snatched Lambo from Gokudera protectively. The bomber growled at this. "Give him to me so I can blow him up!"

"No!"

"Give him to me!"

"Um, you two-" Tsuna stood up to attempt to stop the pair from arguing but froze in his tracks when he noticed a dark, angry aura behind them.

"Uh-oh..."

"What do you herbivores think you're doing?" An all-too familiar voice demanded threateningly. Haru and Gokudera paused mid-argue and turned to find a very pissed-off prefect with his tonfas clenched in his fists.

"Geh! Hibari!" Gokudera backed away, knowing that something bad was about to happen.

"H-Hibari-san..." Haru hid behind Gokudera out of fear.

"Causing a ruckus..." Hibari lifted his tonfas menacingly.

"My, my." Mukuro chuckled in amusement as the others prepared to make a run for it.

"I'll bite you to death!"

"WAAHHH!"

"Hibari, wait! There's a really good explanation for this!"

"How dare you hit the great Lambo!"

Tsuna paused to catch his breath as Hibari trapped Gokudera and Ryohei in a corner. He sighed in exasperation. Another day, another threat from the terrifying prefect of Namimori.

He really did have quite a family.

"Quite a family, huh..." Sawada Tsunayoshi eyed the shocked faces of his seven guardians. He wondered if he was supposed to say something first. But what was someone supposed to say after having "come back from the dead?"

"I knew I shouldn't have come here." Tsuna mentally scolded himself.

"J-Jyuudaime?" Gokudera was the first to break the tense silence that hung in the air.

Tsuna flinched at this. How long had it been since he'd heard that name? Too long, in his opinion. A small smile spread across his face.

"After all this time, you still call me that, huh, Gokudera-kun?" Tsuna spoke for the first time in two years(I don't remember how long it's been since Tsuna died in this fanfic. If I said something different earlier, please correct me!) to his guardians in an amused tone.

"I-is that really you, Tsuna?" Yamamoto stammered.

Tsuna seemed hesitant to answer this. His chest burned with a sense of longing that he'd been dealing with all this time. He'd missed his family so much, yet he knew this wasn't right. He couldn't be with them.

Not anymore.

Instead, he turned his attention to the fallen Dante who had begun to recover from his defeat.

"Che! I should've known it was you!" Dante spat. Tsuna's eyes narrowed at the assassin.

"You gloat about how powerful you are, yet you couldn't even identify me." Tsuna glared at Dante condescendingly.

Gokudera blinked. Such a cold voice...was that really Tsuna? And how did he know to Corvo assassin?

"What the hell are you doing here anyway?" Dante demanded as he stood on his feet.

"The boss heard about your foolish antics and had enough." Tsuna replied indifferently. "He sent me to stop you. Honestly, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be going through all this trouble."

"The boss?!" Dante snapped. "Like hell I'll listen to him! I can take on these bastards-!"

"Really? You mean the "bastards" who out-tricked you?" Tsuna scoffed. Dante's mouth clamped shut, but he still seemed furious.

"How foolish are you?" Tsuna shook his head. "Remember the last time you disobeyed boss?"

"Tsuna!" Ryohei demanded. "What's going on?!"

"Jyuudaime, how do you know this guy-?!"

"Gokudera-kun. Everyone."

The guardians froze as Tsuna took a deep breath before turning to face them.

"Sawada Tsunayoshi died two years ago."

"...what?"

"So you don't have to call me "jyuudaime."

"B-But it's you, right, Tsuna?" Tears began to leak out of Lambo's eyes.

"Why are they calling you Tsuna?" Dante raised an eyebrow. Did they know each other?

Tsuna seemed slightly irritated and glared at Dante. "Leave. This is none of your business."

"But-"

"Leave, and I'll convince the boss to lessen your punishment."

"I-I don't need your help!" Dante declared, but he turned and left, mumbling incoherently about how annoying Tsuna was.

"What's going on?" Gokudera demanded. "Why-?!"

"Will you explain everything to us, Tsuna?"

All attention turned to the Sun Arcobaleno emerging from the shadows. Tsuna did not seem shocked as he addressed the baby.

"Reborn..."

Reborn stared at the seemingly alive former student of his beneath his fedora. He had been watching for a quite a while, the only people seeming to have noticed being Tsuna, Hibari, and Mukuro.

"It's you, right, Tsuna?" Reborn took a few steps forward. His personality seemed different, and he seemed more mature, but there was no doubt about it.

The boy before him was the tenth Vongola boss, Sawada Tsunayoshi.

Tsuna paused for a moment before shrugging. "I am Tsuna but..."

"But...?"

"I'm no longer your student, Reborn." Tsuna spoke in a cold tone that no one had ever heard him speak to Reborn, or anyone, ever before. "And I'm no longer Vongola Decimo."

"Wh-what are you saying, boss?!" Chrome cried, gripping her trident tighter.

"Vongola Decimo died." Tsuna declared. "I'm-"

"One of Corvo's assassins, Fenice, right?" Reborn stated. All eyes went to him before turning back to Tsuna.

"You've done your research, huh..." Tsuna, now Fenice, smirked.

"Tsuna..."

"Anyway, that's that." Fenice turned on his heel.

"W-Wait! Jyuudaime!"

"I told you," Fenice glanced over his shoulder. "That I am no longer your boss. We aren't a family anymore, Gokudera-kun."

"That can't be true!" Gokudera exclaimed. "You of all people treasured this family! There's no way you'd want to abandon it!"

"Is that what you think?" Fenice muttered.

"Tsuna..." Yamamoto clenched the hilt of his sword. What was going on? They looked alike, sounded alike...but was this really Tsuna? The Tsuna who treasured his friends above all else, the Tsuna who would do anything to save his family?

"Then maybe you didn't really know me." The brunette continued to walk on.

"Jyuudaime!" Gokudera began to run after his former boss and closest friend but was stopped by Reborn.

"Don't, Gokudera."

"But-!"

"We all feel the same way." Reborn told him. Obviously, all the guardians had so many questions. Their precious boss was actually alive, but he was an assassin of the Corvo family.

"Then, why-?!"

"Tsuna has obviously resigned from his position as Vongola's boss." Reborn explained. "But we are still members of the Vongola family. We should avoid conflict with the Corvo family."

"Still-"

"Gokudera." Yamamoto placed a hand on the agitated Storm guardian's shoulder. "We all feel the same way, but...the kid's right. For now, let's just listen to him."

"Yamamoto..." Gokudera watched Fenice's back as the distance between them increased. He clenched his fists.

"Dammnit! Jyuudaime is alive! So why?!"

Reborn also watched as Fenice soon disappeared within the depths of the forest. He thought back to the first time he had met the hopeless, no-good boy who would soon become the strong, kind-hearted Vongola boss. His student.

"What on earth happened to you, Tsuna?"

Hope this is good enough for now! I don't really have any ideas, so I just rambled, but I hope it's good enough!
