Epilogue

The Beginning of Everything

"Whatever you're thinking of doing, don't," Professor River Song warned, her expression resolute.

Clara Oswald pursed her lips. She didn't want discouragement; she wanted answers. "If I step in there, what happens?" she asked, peering at his time stream. Its tendrils were wounded and bloodshot, and the Doctor's cries of agony broke her heart. She absolutely couldn't stand here and do nothing, not when the Doctor was dying. This was her friend. Her very best friend. She had to save him, in any way she could.

River sighed deeply, squeezing her eyelids shut. A sign of relent, Clara hoped?

"The time winds will tear you into a million pieces," she finally answered. "A million versions of you, living and dying all over time and space, like echoes."

She swallowed, considering these consequences. Saving her friend would bring her own death. For just a second, she glanced at the man lying nearly unconscious on the ground of his tomb. "These echoes could save the Doctor, right?"

"But they won't be you! The real 'you' will die. They'll just be copies."

"But they'll be real enough to save him." Clara reached down to stroke her finger across the Doctor's cheek, her decision already made. The universe needed a Doctor more than it needed her. She peered up at Professor Song, a new hope shining in her eyes. "It's like my mum said. The soufflΓ© isn't the soufflΓ©; the soufflΓ© is the recipe! It's the only way to save him, isn't it?"

Numbly, River nodded. From the corner of her eye, Clara watched Madame Vastra enter the wreckage of the overgrown console room. A single tear streamed down the Silurian's cheek, but otherwise she held strong.

'The stars are going out. And Jenny and Strax are dead," she told them in a choke. "There must be something we can do."

Nervously, the young companion sucked in a bout of air. The time stream now glowed scarlet, a growing reminder of how little options she possessed. However, whatever foolish thing she was about to do- she'd already done it. The Doctor met different versions of her all throughout time already, and that couldn't just be a coincidence. Perhaps she was always meant to be lead here, to make this very decision...

Clara Oswald stood to her feet with new confidence. "Well, how about that? I'm soufflΓ© girl after all."

"No... Please," the Doctor moaned.

"If this works, get out of here as fast as you can," she warned everyone. "And, spare me a thought now and then..."

"No, Clara," she heard him plead.

She gazed down at him, her brows creasing. "In fact, you know what? Run." Fear became etched on his face. "Run, you clever boy, and remember me." Before she could change her mind, she ran.

"No. Clara!"

His time stream absorbed her presence, and Clara Oswald was no more.

I don't know where I am. I just know I'm running. I'm running to the Doctor.

The Doctor is everywhere, everywhere at once. Of course, it only makes sense that he is. I am falling through his time stream, after all.

Falling. I am falling and falling and falling. I am spinning around, my arms outstretched as if I'm trying to catch something. If I can only grab ahold of something, I can break my fall. But there is nothing to grab. There is only the Doctor.

I can see him. No, I can sense him. The time stream is him, and the Doctor I know isn't the only one. He has different faces, completely different personalities, but they are all him. How many are there? Two? Five, no... Nine? Eleven? I think there might be more. But all of them are suffering, and I only know one thing for certain. I have to save him. I have to save the Doctor.

Before I understand what is happening, a bright white light shines directly into my face, blinding me. I can feel myself tearing into pieces. Fragments of myself fly away in the wind and embed themselves throughout time. They are copies; echoes strewn in the Doctor's time stream. I keep falling down and down and down as they are born, raised, and loved.

In my mind, I can see everything. Every single moment of every single life flashes before my very eyes. I grow up, I live, I die. I can't remember everything. I'm not sure I should even try. There are, however, a handful of lives I remember more clearly than others.

...

I am a Time Lady on Gallifrey. I work in the catacombs, where they refurbish the TARDISes. I guided the Doctor to the TARDIS that would ultimately call him into the universe.

Oswin Oswald, Starship Alaska. I am isolated in the Dalek Asylum. I am human. I save the Doctor from the Daleks, my Doctor.

Victorian London, 1892, the first time my Doctor responds to my call, although I don't realize it until the end.

...

But no matter where I am or what I remember, I save him. I save him over and over and over again.

I recall another echo, born on Earth. I meet the Doctor before mine, the one who wears the blue suit and the overcoat. I push him away from a drink falling from an apartment window on New Year's Eve, only but a small victory. I talk with him. I accompany him in the TARDIS to Mars, and we-

Oh.

But that shouldn't happen.

That's impossible, right? Entirely impossible.

...

help me, doctor. please help me.

...

My entire life is morphing into something else. My entire history, it burns. It's like a fire is raging through my very core, consuming everything I am and replacing it with some other reality.

Oh, it hurts...!

HELP ME! Please, anything, just get me out of this!

...

Is this what you felt like when your timeline was being destroyed? Is this the pain you went through, Doctor? DOCTOR?

I... I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I made a mistake. I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry. No... No!

That's what HE used to say, when I traveled with him! You, I mean, the tenth you! But how can I know that? I never traveled with this version of you... but now I did. I can feel the new memories slotting into place.

Doctor, I'm in your time stream, remember. So know this, it's happening to you too. Our time is being rewritten. I'm sorry, it was my fault. An echo of mine spoke and for once you listened. I'll admit I'm scared, Doctor. I'm really, really scared. I don't know what this will mean for us in the end, but just know that whatever happens, I trust you.

I trust you with my life. Always.

AN: And there's where this alternate reality splits off from the main one!

Thanks for joining me on this journey! The completion of this has been nearly five years in the making, which is so wild to me. I may not have the muse to continue the ongoing series I originally had in mind when I first wrote this, but I'm at least glad that I could get a chance to finally complete a vast project like this.

Since I won't be posting more of this series, I figured I'd give some tidbits on what I originally wanted to do with it. These are merely notes I had scrawled down, describing ideas of "episodes" I wanted to write and plot arc stuff. This is going to be a monster of an author's note, a fair warning. But there are a few written scenes and some hopefully interesting tidbits in there.

First of all, the shifting of Clara's timestream as seen in this epilogue was as a result of the White and Black Guardians' meddling, in their cosmic struggle for dominance. If I had written the entire multiple-book story arc as I entirely planned, then this would be like... kinda the cosmic big bad that the Doctor and Clara realized were meddling in their lives all along. Another big bad would have been the Great Intelligence, working alongside a splinter group off the Shadow Proclamation that had decreed the Doctor a threat and dedicated their lives to following and monitoring him. I had... a huge set of super complicated notes on that whole insanity but I honestly don't know if it'd make any sense to anyone except me, so whoops!

The stories I had planned were:

-Two more detailing Clara's adventures with the Tenth Doctor, two "seasons" per say. All original stories.

-At least three following the Eleventh Doctor, Clara, Amy, and Rory, and River. These are a mixture of episode re-imaginings and original things.

Characters involved:

-Obviously the Doctor and Clara, they're the core of this story.

-Amy and Rory feature heavily when they come in.

-Jack Harkness travels with 10 and Clara for an entire "season." He also shows up in later stories.

-Jenny and Vastra

-Angie Maitland becomes involved with Sarah Jane Smith's group of kids.

-River Song, of course.

-Jenny the Doctor's daughter, who ended up secretly raising two partial Time Lords in Leadworth for years. There's a long story there, ahahah.

-Speaking of a second partial Time Lord, many many books later the Doctor and Clara have a daughter in this, Hannah Leanne Oswald. For a long time she goes by Leane "Lee" Zucker, Melody Zucker's (River Song's) adopted sister. She lives with Jenny and Melody for a good long time. For very painful reasons, she has to keep her distance from her parents for her own safety. (It's because she went through the Doctor's timestream as an embryo, basically- their psychic bond is so strong because of that they can't even make physical contact.) She runs into her parents quite a bit before they even know who she is.

But anyways! As for book plots. The numbers next to the story titles indicate how many chapters I anticipated writing for them.

Book Two: Our Path Through the Universe

Synopsis: The Tenth Doctor is finally traveling with Clara Oswald, and it's better than anything he had imagined. But as they forge their path through the stars and grow closer, not everything is as it seems. There's something dangerous lurking in the shadows after Clara, and the Doctor intends to find out what... Seven original adventures, and second in a series. 10/Clara.

🌌-Prologue (1)

Clara's recounting of all the travels she had gone on with the Doctor the past few months. Just small snippets.

...notes:

"Aw, look, Doctor! I think it likes us."

"Oh, it likes us all right."

"What's that face for? It's not doing any harm. It's just licking me."

"Clara, I'm very sorry I have to say this out loud, but... That's not its tongue."

🌌-Into the Fog (4)

In a laboratory deep below a colonized planet's surface, scientists are experimenting with a mist known to higher species as the Red Carnivorous Maw. What they don't know is how destructive this fog can be when let loose...

🌌-The Lights of Relou (5)

The Doctor takes Clara to a vacation planet named Relou for her 25th birthday. All goes well, until the sun blinks out of existence...

...notes:

-The end of this is when the Doctor goes out in the freezing cold to try and retrieve his TARDIS, because left alone her heart could freeze. (He left the heat shields down. That's like having an open door.) The cliffhanger is when he falls down on his back in the snow, his body freezing cold, too numb to move, and alone.

🌌-Ice of Empires (5)

(Part two of TLoR)

The enemy has set up their empire, and Relou is in a deep freeze without the warmth of their sun. What can be done to reverse this?

...notes:

-This story picks up with Clara running after him, calling out for him blindly through the snowstorm.

-Remember the scene from The Day After Tomorrow where they're running from the ice that's freezing through the building? Yeah. I'd like to do a scene like that.

-In the end, the enemies have put up a shield between the sun and Relou to 100% stop sunlight from coming down. They hope to deep freeze the planet and harvest it for resources.

🌌-The Doctor Trap (4)

Clara invites the Doctor for Christmas dinner with her family, which of course involves socializing, correct use of manners, and staying in one place for more than five minutes. Besides this, the Doctor fears that something will go massively wrong, as things always do each Christmas. Will his fears prove true? Or will the odd pull of his gut prove to be just a fluke? One thing is for sure, it will be a Christmas to remember...

...notes:

-At the end, all of Clara's family know her secret, and who the Doctor is.

🌌-The Time Team (4)

Clara Oswald is enjoying her weekend off, but it seems as if aliens are coming to HER now. Luckily, however, her quiet neighbor Sarah Jane Smith down the street and herself have found a common connection. Can they save a crashed ship and its alien inhabitants without disturbing their neighbors and alerting Torchwood? Doctor-lite. (I think he'll only show up at the end of the last chapter.)

🌌-Shadows (1)

Clara admits that she feels as if something is following her...

...notes:

-For your record, that "something" are the Whispermen.

🌌-Mirror Mirror (4)

The Doctor and Clara explore an old house with a haunted reputation, and find hundreds of mirrors inside. What they don't know is that these mirrors hold an ancient secret within...

🌌-Guild of Reason (5)

In Victorian London with Vastra, Strax, and Jenny! When a rogue Time Agent operating in Victorian London tries to bend time to his will, the Doctor, Clara, and the rest of the Paternoster Gang must find a way to stop him, before the entire city is at risk.

🌌-Meltdown (6)

The TARDIS has crashed, her Heart is leaking time, and the engines need fixing, but how can the Doctor and Clara do that when they can't even understand each other? With the translation circuits going haywire, can they find a way to save the TARDIS and survive? Loosely inspired by Journey To the Centre of the TARDIS.

...notes:

-The Doctor seems at his most vulnerable in this, because for once he can't hide under his words, and his true feelings come to the surface to replace that gap.

(words in *bold* are when the Doctor was speaking in Gallifreyan. I planned on writing that in my own interpretation of Gallifreyan text.)

DOCTOR: (ranting in Gallifreyan when the TARDIS translation circuits are kaput, or so he thinks.) "Clara. Clara, Clara, Clara. *My mad, impossible* Clara! Clara Oswin Oswald, *I've the faintest idea who you really are. I just don't know! Oh, and I might never know! I spent an entire year out there. An entire year, wholly dedicated to figuring you out. (Shakes head in remorse) I* still haven't. And while the way I feel about you should scare me, I can't help but think that this, everything, me and you, was meant to be... Written in the stars... But who am I kidding? You can't even understand me."

-First kiss. The Doctor, like a hero, swoops in and kisses her. For him, it's the only way he can communicate just how much he cares for her before he leaps into a potentially life ending circumstance in hopes of saving the ship and Clara.

-Later, (everything is fixed by now), when Clara thinks he's going to kiss her again, he instead kisses her on the forehead, ruffles her hair, and hugs her. He doesn't even speak of the kiss, so neither does she.

Book Three: Holding Tight and Letting Go

Synopsis: As the Tenth Doctor and Clara's relationship strengthens, they continue their journey through time and space. But the Doctor can't hold on to this life forever, and the prophesy of his demise is yet to unfold. Five original adventures, Jack Harkness, and third in a series! 10/Clara.

🌌-Neverwhere (12)

The Doctor is being randomly shot across time, the TARDIS won't let Clara in, and on Earth is an invasion that even UNIT can't suppress. How can she save the world when all she has is a vortex manipulator from some man named Jack and the support of a few family and friends? Kind of Doctor-lite.

...notes:

-Is known as "the invasion of the soul-less" by UNIT, which is a bit of a misnomer really. These life forms actually are a kind of bodiless creature. Basically, a soul.

-It is an invasion of the mind. It does not effect the Doctor, as he puts up shields over his mind.

-This story is the first time Clara meets Amy and Hannah Leanne, although it is very brief, and she doesn't realize it at the time.

-In this adventure, Clara actually KISS kisses the Doctor, (really, it's a full on snog), heightened with all the emotion of having almost lost him and then saving him again.

🌌-(Unknown adventure) (4)

Jack Harkness onboard! The Doctor, Clara, and Jack arrive in the thickets of a jungle planet, where a deadly, unknown creature from beyond the village borders is terrorizing the local inhabitants. What really lurks beyond the trees may come as a surprise to them however- it isn't a monster, it's just misplaced in time.

...notes:

-The "monster" ends up being an experiment that was accidentally displaced backwards in time.

🌌-The Fortuitous Exchange (5)

Jack Harkness onboard! While exploring a sweltering alien market planet, the Doctor and Clara run into unexpected circumstances and accidentally swap bodies. To make instances worse, armed thugs begin terrorizing the area, and manage to kidnap the Doctor, who is currently in Clara's body. How can Clara manage to rescue him while trapped in an alien body she isn't familiar with, and without letting Jack in on their secret? And is there any way for them to return to their own flesh?

...notes:

-For the first time, Clara is able to see the world through the Doctor's eyes... literally. She's amazed at how much more she's able to perceive about this world. She can smell more, feel more, even sense more. More than this, she sees the way he conceptualizes time, and can see ribbons of possible time streams ebbing around her. Clara asks if this is what the Doctor always sees, and he replies yes. Except, over the years, he's learned to control it. Clara thinks it's beautiful, but the Doctor, who's lived with it ever since the Academy, sees it as a burden and an annoyance.

-The Doctor pleads that Jack doesn't know about the body swap, because, "he'd mock me for years!"

🌌-(Unknown adventure) (5)

Jack Harkness onboard! The Doctor, Clara, and Jack dress up to attend the coronation of the [some royalty person]. What they don't know, is that the shadows have been watching them. If they can't find a way to contain an outbreak of Vashta Nerada, everyone will be at risk...

🌌-Back to Business (1)

Jack makes the executive decision that he should return home to his team. The Doctor and Clara see him off.

🌌-(Unknown adventure) (4)

The Doctor tries taking Clara to the Paris World Fair in the mid 1800s, but misses it by about a hundred years, and ends up in the French Revolution. (I hope for this to be an almost pure historical.)

...notes:

-An echo of Clara saves the Doctor from the guillotine, which is being operated by, you guessed it, an echo of Dr. Simeon.

-Let it be known that it was probably the futuristic dress of both the Doctor and Clara (although Clara was historically dressed for the 1850s) that got them into hot water.

🌌-The End of Time (8)

It is returning. They are returning. He is returning. And the Doctor is running out of time... Re-write.

🌌-Lies (1)

The Doctor has lied to Clara about his impending death, trying to convince her and himself that he is perfectly fine...

A note about Angie Maitland in this series, before I move on to Eleventh Doctor stuff:

Angie ends up meeting Rani, Clyde, and Sarah Jane Smith in the midst of the "Invasion of the Soulless", (early 2010, March), and they adopt her into the group. Rani acts as her nurturing older sister, and simply adores her. They especially bond over secret keeping. Both have to keep big secrets- Rani from her parents, and Angie from Clara, Artie, and her parents.

Sarah Jane tries really hard not to let Angie get too involved, but everyone knows she's a stubborn girl... And there are a few situations that she just can't be kept out of. Later on, in the fifth book in the series, Clara and the 11th Doctor stumble into a younger her during the events of "The Death of the Doctor". She had convinced her dad to let her go with Sarah Jane and her friends to the funeral... (2010)

(2011) Angie gets caught up in the whole Sky incident... She instantly befriends her. By this time, she is about 13 or so. Sky, maybe 12.

(2012) Angie's mother dies. Clara, knowing how the Maitlands cared for her when her mum died, decides to drop her plans of adventure and step in as the kid's nanny. Now Angie is finding a harder time keeping secrets, as Clara is good at reading people. Also, Artie finally finds her out, so she makes him promise he won't tell. Soon, the two bond over secret keeping.

(2013) Angie had become a bit surly towards Clara after a while, probably due to her having to keep so many secrets. She is 15 by now.

Book Four: Mysterious People

Synopsis: AU: After a violent regeneration, the Eleventh Doctor falls to Earth with a distraught Clara Oswald in tow, and crashes his TARDIS in a young girl's backyard. The perplexing crack in her wall isn't the main problem though, nor the mysterious prophesy of "silence will fall"... The Doctor has lost Clara's trust, and if he wants to regain it, he'll have to repair her fragile human heart, stitch by stitch. 11/Clara, Amy/Rory. Fourth in a series!

🌌-Wet Feet (1)

The newly-regenerated Eleventh Doctor and Clara are having troubles piloting the crashing TARDIS, and fall into the library... And, well, the TARDIS might have just saved their lives...

notes...

-The watch that Clara got as a gift from the Tenth Doctor at the end of this first book broke during the crash, the dial stopping just about at the time the Doctor regenerated. Clara keeps it anyways.

🌌-The Eleventh Hour (5)

Re-write. The Doctor and Clara crash into the backyard of a little seven year old Scottish girl. After she helps them out, the Doctor promises her a trip in the TARDIS, but it seems that they arrived too late for the pickup... Twelve years late.

notes...

-Amy mentions Mels and Lee (young Hannah Leanne Oswald) at one point.

🌌-The Ghost Call (2)

While the Doctor and Amy are out having an adventure, Clara stays back in the TARDIS, and inadvertently finds a hologram message for her from the Tenth Doctor. But he's got some real good explaining to do...

🌌-The Time Keepers (4)

The TARDIS unexpectedly takes the Doctor, Clara, and Amy to a small planetoid on the outskirts of the Milky Way, and to a familiar face. This is the planet the last remaining survivors of the Kratxon civil war have relocated to, including Kratx, who has finally reunited with his family. But there's two pretty big problems...

1) How to keep Clara from knowing that Kratx has met her before when everyone has been told her story, and 2) The unrest from the civil war hasn't seemed to have completely died down, entirely...

note... Clara becomes upset with the Doctor because she knows he's hiding something. She can't get him to tell her what.

🌌-The Ginger Fiasco (1)

Clara finds out that Amy wailed up and snogged the Doctor. They go pick up Rory, her fiancΓ©e, but Clara finally decides she's had enough, and asks to leave.

🌌-Normality (2)

Clara's decision to leave the TARDIS permanently was a good one in her mind at first. But really, after touching the universe like that, there's just no going back to normal everyday life. And that's exactly what Clara's gonna try to do. Doctor-lite.

...notes: This is the first time Clara officially meets the elusive Hannah Leanne. A woman named Jennifer Jones contacts her and asks if she can babysit her young daughter Hannah...

(Note, this is Hannah's first incarnation, her original. All other times Clara meets her after this she's in her second incarnation.)

🌌-Indecision (1)

When Clara discovers that the Doctor has spent nearly a straight week trying to track her down, she has second thoughts about everything. About the lone Time Lord and her attempt of washing him out of his life. Did she really want that? Or will she give him a second chance?

AMY: "Clara. Why are you so upset with him? Were you...-?" [pantomimes kissing]

CLARA: "Oh heavens, no! I just- [swallows, shakes her head] It's complicated."

AMY: "Oooh, so you *are* together?"

CLARA: "We are NOT together. We never were, never will."

AMY: [observantly] "But you wanted to be."

[pause]

CLARA: [doesn't look at her] "That seems like an eternity ago, now."

AMY: "So... what happened?"

CLARA: "Like I said, it's complicated. Really complicated."

AMY: "I can handle complicated."

CLARA: [takes a hesitant breath] "All right, then. I assume he's already done a lot of bragging about his Time Lord heritage?"

AMY: [makes a so-so sign]

CLARA: "Well... When I first met him, he had a completely different face. I don't mean facial surgery either, [quickly], he... um, he changed."

AMY: "Changed?"

CLARA: "He called it regeneration. Apparently it's something that Time Lords can do when they're dying; they restore every cell in their body to survive, but it also results in change. The Doctor became- a completely different man. Same memories and all, sure, but he's different. [looks over at Amy] It wasn't the change that upset me, not exactly. Just two weeks ago, the Doctor, MY Doctor, had come down with radiation poisoning. He was dying slowly the whole time I was with him, but he never told me, he left me in the dark. And I still can't understand why."

[she reaches into her coat pocket and pulls out her phone, goes to photos.]

CLARA: "Here he is. I snuck a photo of him while he was messing with the TARDIS one day.

AMY: That's the TARDIS?

CLARA: Yeah. The TARDIS used to look different as well. But my Doctor, he always had those glasses of his, perched up on the bridge of his nose. [Slightly laughed] Those were the days. Did you know it took him nearly an hour to fluff up his hair like that? I always did tease him of vanity. But he was smart; I suppose they both are, and full of enthusiasm, and just brilliant. For a long while, he would come back for me every Wednesday and take me on a trip into the stars. Of course, in the end, it grew more frequent than that."

🌌-Clara's Choice (4)

Re-write. Clara has been happily welcomed back into the TARDIS crew by the Doctor, Amy, and Rory. But as they are traveling, they suddenly find themselves caught between different dream worlds and a TARDIS trying to drift into a freezing star.

🌌-(to be decided) (6)

Small-scale alien occurrence in London... The Doctor, Clara, Amy, and Rory investigate, only to find out the same mysterious signal is strung out across multiple other time zones, in different galaxies. Along the way, they run into a young woman who likes to be known as "Lee," a woman who holds a connection with Amy and Rory...

-Lee becomes a temporary passenger. Her name is Leanne Zucker, older sister of Mels by adoption, but she's way more disciplined than her, and was training to be a nurse right alongside Rory. Higher-ups suggested she continue her studies in the city, since she was a natural.

-Clara and her quickly build a rapport. (Note that they're around the same age) She's unsure about her however, because at one moment she seems so meek around them and the next she's right alongside, helping them save everyone's lives.

-By the end, Clara and Leanne swap numbers...

🌌-(to be decided) (5)

Clara and Rory meet River Song... Amy knows her already... Adventure

🌌-The Lodgers (5)

Re-write. The Doctor and Clara both get thrown off the TARDIS, and stuck in 2010 in a small suburb. Which means... They must find a place to lodge for the night. And it is gonna be awkward. Meanwhile, Amy is still on the TARDIS, and it is whirring out of control.

-Clara texts Leanne, on one of her slow, lazy nights...

-At the end Amy asks Clara about a wedding ring in the Doctor's coat pocket that she is puzzling about...

🌌-The Big Bang (6)

Re-write. All 'dat stuff happens. Plus, the Doctor has been haunted by different Clara's in his mind this whole story and tries to confront her about it, but that doesn't quite go right...

note... While the Doctor is traveling back through his time stream, he finally realizes that to stop these ghosts that are haunting him, he needs to go back and find peace with the death of his first Clara. He ends up on Mars next to her lifeless body while his prior incarnation sulks and makes his big decision. He grabs small rocks and stones, carefully takes the metal beam out from her body and buries it, and surrounds her in a bed of red rocks. Then he disappears behind the walls of the universe.

note two... Clara, when the universe is rebooted, wakes up in bed at her apartment and just going along her daily business, when suddenly she remembers the Doctor. And then the TARDIS materializes next to her. And the Doctor pops out asking if she wants to go to a party. Amy and Rory's wedding party.

-Leanne is there... She mentions Mels doesn't really like weddings, and went backpacking instead.

Book Five: Enigma's Path

Synopsis: AU: So, Clara Oswald already knows that life spent traveling with the Doctor is completely mad. However, after seeing said Doctor shot dead on a beach after inviting her, the mysterious River, the Ponds, and Jack Harkness to witness, things just get really weird. The opening of a new mystery soon brings more and more questions, and the realization that perhaps her life and destiny is all wound up among the stars. 11/Clara, Amy/Rory. Absolutely no River bashing. Fifth in a series!

🌌-Honeymoons and Funerals (4)

Kind of a re-write? Amy and Rory are now happily married and honeymooning out in the universe, meanwhile, the Doctor and Clara are stuck on some rubbish planetoid while sentient peacocks plan his fake funeral. And yet it's all in a typical afternoon.

🌌-Blue Envelopes (1)

-The older Doctor picks Clara up personally, invites her to "a picnic." The Lake Silencio incident happens in this chapter.

-Clara rips from River's hold and runs towards the Doctor. She gets there just as he's about to regenerate, and watches him get shot again. But, she sees River in the spacesuit. Now, she doesn't know if she is friend or foe, and feels like she can't mention what she saw, because River's there. Later, she can't mention it because they couldn't let the younger Doctor know.

-Chapter ends with meeting younger Doctor in restaurant. This would have been a long ass chapter.

I actually have a bit written of this. Have fun.

Clara Oswald scrubbed away at the baked-on food stuck to the plate. Her arm was already numb from nearly fifteen minutes of nonstop washing, and this was only the first step. Next, she'd have to assemble it all in the washer, like a gigantic ceramic puzzle. Some 80s music she couldn't identify played on shuffle in the background, probably from her dad Dave Oswald's phone, but it did manage to soften her mood a little.

"And here's the last of it," her dad said with a grunt, laying a tall stack of serving bowls and salad plates on the counter.

"Thanks," she mumbled, staring out the window in a daze. By now, she didn't need to see what she was scrubbing. It was automatic.

"Here, I'll soften the load for you, sweets. You rinse them off, and I'll load them, how 'bout that?"

She heard what he said, but her mind was already galaxies away. As much as she wanted to ignore the feeling, she couldn't help but be slightly miffed at the rest of her family, who simply left her- the host- to wash up. Also, it'd been two months since she'd seen the Doctor, and she was beginning to fuss about him. Clara wasn't worried he'd leave her behind- the two of them had been through too much for him to do that- she was worried he did something stupid again, and gotten himself into a heap of trouble. It was the most likely scenario.

"Sounds good, dad."

"Clara?" She felt a familiar warm hand wrap over her shoulder. "Clara. What's wrong? You've been so quiet lately, even with company."

"Nothing's wrong," she said quietly, and glanced down at the sponge in her hands. She tried scrubbing at the hamburger stuck to the pan, but it wouldn't come off. It dried on the counter too long. The fake smile she pasted on faded quickly.

Dave Oswald crossed his arms. "Oh? Well, you could have fooled me."

Clara stopped cleaning for a moment, and took her soapy hands out of the sink. "Okay. Fine. Your in-laws. Why do they have to leave all the dishes for me every time I make family dinner? This is the third time they've done this. Do they even care? Do they even give a damn?"

"They're your in-laws too," her dad reminded her gently. He walked closer, and wrapped his arms around her. "And I know exactly what you're feeling. There's always gonna be some people in this world that frustrate you to no end, even if you love them. And especially in-laws. Sometimes, I wonder if frustrating is in their job description."

She laughed softly, and buried her chin in her dad's shoulder. She heard the wind began to whistle outside, probably blowing small petals across the grass.

And then... the sound she thought was only the whistling wind began to take a new form. It began to pulse and wheeze. The TARDIS. A glimmer of hope transformed her face as she glanced towards the window. Immediately, she tore herself from her dad's embrace, and hurried to the window. She forced the blinds apart, and saw exactly what she had dreamed of for weeks. A glimmer of blue. Clara grinned, and sprinted out of the kitchen. Her dad, confused, followed.

"Clara? Where are you running off to all of the sudden?" he asked, his brows nearing his receding hairline.

Clara hastily slipped her feet into a pair of flats and grabbed her green coat off the door hook. She grinned sheepishly, almost not able to contain her sheer excitement.

"Oh, ah- I- I'm getting the mail. I ordered a thing the other day, and it came an hour ago. Just remembered. Be back in a fe-"

"It's your Doctor, isn't it?" he said then, cutting her off. "You don't have to lie about that. Not to me. Go on, I understand. I'll finish the dishes."

Clara dropped her head guiltily. She did it again. Even though her dad knew about her friendship with the Doctor, she kept on making lame excuses to keep her time in the TARDIS a secret. She wanted to think it would do her father a favor and keep him from worrying too much, but believing this would only delude herself. It was a compulsion- a bad habit she needed to break.

Wordlessly, she ducked away from his sight, completely unsure when she'd see him again. You couldn't make promises or guarantees when you traveled with the Doctor. She closed the door to her flat slowly, her practical side feeling slightly guilty for leaving her father alone in her home to do the housework. The other side of her- the adventurous Clara- jittered with excitement as she dashed down the back stairs.

When she spotted him, he leaned against the side of the TARDIS, wearing a cowboy hat and a new tweed jacket. He waved when he saw her.

"Howdy," he said with a cocky grin. Clara cringed at the awkward cowboy vernacular, but waved back nonetheless.

-When she says hello, he stares at her for a moment, and then leans in and kisses her passionately.

-This is the first time Clara's kissed/been kissed by this Doctor. After, the Doctor realizes and looks like he's about to bolt... Clara stops him- and kisses him back.

"I think I've meant to do that for a while, but I was too scared to."

"No. No, Clara- my Clara. Not you. You're the bravest woman I know, and I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"I arrived too early."

"That's what I thought. You were worried you shocked me, that this is too much too soon. You're from some time in my future, aren't you? I can tell. Those sad eyes are so much older. You tried to run away from me..."

"And is it?"

"Too much? No. Like I said, meant to do that, long time. Now why did you come?"

"A picnic."

And back to vague, nebulous plot.

Book Six: The Forgotten Planet

Synopsis: Life for the Eleventh Doctor and Clara isn't exactly anything you could call normal, especially traveling with the parents of the Doctor's technically deceased sort-of wife... No matter the relations, the Doctor has finally found his family, but when a new deadly danger arises and tries to rewrite his whole life, can he step up to protect the ones he loves? 11/Clara, Amy/Rory. Sixth in a series!

The plot of this one was far less sketched out, and far less episodic, but towards the beginning it involved the discovery of a device that had the capability to entirely change history- which the Great Intelligence was gunning for, and later on it involved a sort of marriage proposal from the Doctor to Clara in the MIDDLE of life threatening danger. How else would either of them do it, right?

And then after some time of calm and peace, the lives of everyone are plunged into chaos as the Great Intelligence strikes and uses that time changing device to entirely rewrite the Doctor's past, so as to take him out of the picture. And then here's some scrals of nonsense I did kinda plot out a bit at greater length...

🌌-Chaos 4

All chaos has broken loose. A bodiless entity has broken loose from the chaos and tampering of time's events, and it is beginning to take over the surrounding area. The Doctor might be able to stop it if he can only figure out what it is and what it wants.

🌌-Time Scar 5

The Doctor, Clara, her dad, Amy, Rory, River, Jack, and Leanne manage to escape from the Chaos Entity, but not before the TARDIS is damaged. The Doctor now has reason to believe his timeline and those of his closest friends are in danger. What's worse, the destruction of the strange entity is spreading wider throughout time and space.

🌌-Lost Time 1

The Doctor has kicked his friends off the TARDIS due to extreme danger... He is beginning to fade away, and lost time energy flowing out of him has the potential to blow up the TARDIS. Leanne stays behind to try and help, and it is then that her true identity is revealed. She is the Doctor and Clara's eldest daughter.

🌌-The Forgotten Planet 6

Planet Earth is in ruins, because the Doctor, the saver of worlds, no longer exists as he used to. Instead, Theta Sigma never left Gallifrey. He ended up in the office of Lord President, just as his house expected him to be. Can two young woman, one of them who claims to be his human fiancΓ©e, show him the truth?

It's after this that the content I had plotted in detail comes to an end. But at some point after this part of the plot, the Doctor and Clara would have found their way to Trenzalore and fully discovered the change that happened... the meddling in their time streams...

And GOODNESS! I'm honestly sure I would have been able to explain the full gamut of this plot far more coherently back when I was in the Doctor Who mindset. But these are the bulk of my notes about it. I hope you enjoyed the shorter story I got to tell about the Tenth Doctor and Clara, even if I didn't get the time to tell the entire story I wanted to.

Goodbye my dears! Thank you for your years of support 3
