Into the woods they did ride,

when they came back to the stable,

through one door they did pass,

from Brittan into Narnia they did step,

upon first sight they saw a sail,

a majestic ship,

set to sail,

the king did see them,

and asked their names,

Polly and Digory they said in shock,

Narnia had changed so much,

the king too was surprized,

two legends came to him.

He invited the two to join him,

on a dangerous journey,

to fight a fearsome dragon,

a dragon scaring islanders,

to do them a service,

he was going to challenge the beast,

surely these two were here on Aslan's good will,

Polly and Digory agreed to help.

Over the voyage a crush did grow,

Polly was taken by the handsome king,

although he was married,

her feelings grew,

and fear escalated as they neared,

honour or certain death,

the mass of islands grew closer every day,

locals cowered and remained hidden,

the king refused any sailors to come,

the only three who went ashore,

were the king, Digory, and Polly.

Once they found the dragon,

the king and the boy fought hard,

but Polly outsmarted them all,

she asked Aslan for guidance;

in one brash move,

she grabbed a sword and stabbed ,

the dragon's tale,

pinning it to the ground,

using the distraction,

the king quickly killed the beast,

a single deep slash and twist,

straight to the heart.

An islander saw only the king,

but soon word was out,

the Narnian king alone slayed the terror,

he said no,

he had help,

no one would believe him,

mistaking it for modesty,

before they left,

Polly admitted her crush of the king,

to the one person she shouldn't have,

Digory,

Digory heart broken,

swore never to marry any but Polly,

if she ever would admit to loving him anymore,

acting as normal as he could,

as their journey continued.

The islanders were so happy,

to be free,

they decided to,

give their lands,

to the king and Narnia,

with a big celebration,

the islanders sent the king home,

he felt honoured,

for them to give,

him their lands to govern,

for he did not do it,

to gain lands,

but just to free the people,

living in constant fear,

he did not expect a reward,

but he could not reject,

their willing gift,

and wish of protection.

Soon Digory and Polly were sent home,

Narnia forgot the two except,

for their first entrance,

Digory wouldn't talk about their journey,

for the longest time,

while Polly mooned over the king,

when she stopped pining,

he said it made him jealous,

Polly embarrassed felt bad,

rarely mentioned was the second trip,

thereafter.

They stayed friends,

but neither married,

both for reasons long forgotten,

only when five longing children had been to Narnia,

had they told their tale again,

a forgotten part,

of Narnian history.
