He was crying now, completely crying. Tears were slowly sliding down his cheeks, but he wasn't sad, he was ecstatic. He felt a warm glow flowing through him.

They sat on the beach for the rest of day, enjoying the sun that had never seen in Tartarus.

Percy was still smiling when they arrived home at the end of the day. When they arrived home, Sally, Percy and Annabeth sat and watched tv for the rest of the night. They ordered pizza. Everything was starting to feel normal again.

That night, there was complete silence. No screaming from Annabeth, no whispering from Percy, trying to calm Annabeth.

When they all woke up, everything seemed normal, like the way it was before Tartarus. Things we finally starting to come together. Annabeth had next to no episodes. She had begun to have complete conversations with Percy and even began to speak with Sally.

Percy realised that him and Annabeth, they could get through anything. They could beat anything that life throws at them, as long as they were together. Percy now appreciated life so much more. He appreciated the way Annabeth's eyes no longer looked dark, they were their normal grey. He appreciated the way her bones no longer stuck out. He appreciated the way her long blonde hair looked full of life. But most of all, he appreciated the smile on her face.

Annabeth didn't know how she got through Tartarus. She realised that it was all down to Percy. Her Seaweed Brain. She knew that as long as she had Percy, she would be alright.

"I think I'm ready, Percy," Annabeth whispered, while they were lying on the couch.

"Ready for what?" Percy replied, inquisitive.

"Ready to go home."

Percy and Annabeth said goodbye to Sally Jackson. Percy silently thanked the Gods for his mother for he knew that without her Annabeth would never have been herself again.

They headed out the door together, back to Camp Half Blood, ready for whatever the world threw at them.
