Chapter 6: You win some you lose some. Our failures are the same.

The group had stood frozen for a moment just to make sure what they were seeing was in fact real, that a group of those damned spider-women were there. Naruto frowned angrily that these creatures were causing havoc again so soon after just dealing with one just yesterday. He could feel the girls on his back shake and knew they couldn't fight against something like this again so soon. Making a decision, he nodded to himself and put Kira down so that he could make more clones. Releasing his newest pokegirl as well, there was a loud boom as he made a hundred more clones, while the girls looked on in complete surprise.

"Alright everyone, listen up! All of you clones, Squirtitty, Kira and Nao are going into the town to search and rescue the town folks, you are not to engage in fighting the Widows! I and a new horde of clones will deal with them. Stay safe and alive! Girls the clones will cover you so don't worry about a thing got it? I'm sorry Squirtitty, I didn't get to introduce you properly to the others. I know that you are weak so just do your absolute best to survive alright, I've got your back okay? Kira, Nao I know this is hard and so unfair to you both but I really need your help, can you do this?" Naruto looked at the pokegirls seeing their faces all pale from fear, shakily nodded not trusting their voices but slowly building their determination to help the poor people of this town that so clearly needs it. Naruto smiled at the fire he could see building in their eyes, nodding once more he shunshined away.

Kira turned to look at their newest addition, seeing how badly the other girl was shaking but could also see that she didn't want to disappoint her new tamer. The twins each grabbed the new girl's shaking hands into their own shakily ones and nodded at her, before turning to the waiting Narutos. A clone each picked up a girl and made their way into the town hoping to save every life they could. The clones were determined that they would keep these girls safe and they were also VERY sure that the boss would deal with the monsters in no time. As they raced towards the town, the closer they got the more they could see and hear of the destruction the widows have already done to the town. People who were completely terrified were running wildly into the woods heedless of who they ran over or left behind, while some of the braver ones were trying to help save those around them as many children and kits sat helplessly in shock next to where their parents and tamers were. The girls had frozen at the close-up look at the people falling apart while the Narutos immediately went to work saving people in the fallen buildings, picking up the little ones and moving them to safer places. Grim expressions could be seen on their faces as this wasn't the first time they had seen such ugliness, but they soldiered on regardless. The girls shook themselves and got to work. The twins noticed a power line sparking and sending off bolts of electricity every few seconds. Nao quickly covered herself in an armor of ice and grabbed the wire as Kira coating her hands in electricity dug quickly into the ground. Nao then shoved the live wire into the ground and coated some of the wire and ground freezing it into place. With that hazard dealt with the twins moved on to another nearby wire that was still active. The Narutos continued following the twins, removing the rubble to allow safe passage for the people who had been trapped nearby the live wire.

The squirtitty had never seen such wide scale horrors but did her best to swallow her fear and moved to a small crying child, picking her up and moving to an area that the town's people had setup she could see a couple of nurse joys working hard, placing the child next to several others the pokegirl went back into the rubble looking for more people. Finding a group that had been stuck behind a collapsed roof, the clones that had been following her helped as they lifted the roof high enough that the trapped people could escape. This continued several more times, occasionally meeting up with the twins before separating again. The Squirtitty was getting tired but she never quit, only stopping every so often to refill her jugs. Between putting out the smaller fires and allowing the children and kits in particular a much needed drink, she was getting quite good at judging when she would need to go back for more water and if she had enough to put out the fire or at least shrinking it down or stop it from spreading. Compared to her fight with her master earlier, the Squirtitty had really grown skilled in her water gun usage.

Long after dark everyone who could still move helped - it didn't matter if it was watching the little ones, helping the joys or continuing the rescue efforts, everyone helped somewhere. Once all the loose power lines had been dealt with the twin pokegirls began to help more in the rescue efforts and the squirtitty kept bringing in more people to the safe zone. The other pokegirls that had originally been in shock soon felt shame since these strangers that had no real reason to help so much urged them out of their own pain to realize that there were many others to were also in pain. Looking at each other and gathering their resolve, the once frozen helpless individuals became a new rescue force, which allowed some of the other rescue groups that had been going steady to finally drop into exhaustion and smiled gratefully at the new helpers as they passed out. Seeing this exchange the twins smiled and began to direct the new help where it was needed most. The squirtitty had travelled a ways away from the main group, along a different street calling out to see if there was anyone that they had missed before. Making it down to end of the street hearing nothing, she prepared to move to the next block when one of the clones heard it.

"Wait! Did you hear that?!" the clone shushed the group. After a moment, they too heard the soft crying noise, just to the left of the group near a mostly collapsed house the soft crying got louder. Calling out to the noise, the group moved to the house and quickly got to work moving and lifting the rubble out of the way, eventually creating an opening large enough that squirtitty could squeeze into in order to reach the crier. "Squirtitty, be careful this house had already collapsed, we don't know when it will shift and fall again so find whoever is in there and get out quick understand?", the clone ordered. The pokegirl nodded and quickly but carefully squeezed into the opening. Slowly making her way to the crying which was getting softer, making the pokegirl worry about their health, after climbing over or around some of the debris the squirtitty came a upon a heartbreaking sight. The soft cries they heard had come from a small infant wrapped in its mother's arms. The father had wrapped his arms around the small family, but a support beam had fallen on the parents who were covering their precious bundle. Gently and slowly the squirtitty pulled the now quiet infant into her arms. The infant barely stirred, too tired to react now, but squirtitty smiled softly, glad they would be able to save at least the baby. As she turned to leave a groaning sound could be heard, "Squirtitty! Quick get out of there! We can't see you! MOVE!" shouted the clone. None could move as that would destabilize the whole chunk of house that they were holding up. The pokegirl wasted no more time and tried to move back to safety with her fragile cargo in tow. She heard another ominous groan followed by a crack behind her, turning her head she could see that the precarious rubble balanced above her was gonna shift again. Looking forward to see that the opening was too far away and the top was coming down now, she did the only thing she could think of, pulling the now orphaned baby tighter to her chest and tucking her body tightly around the baby with her shell facing the falling rubble while praying to the gods that she would see her tamer again soon.

Meanwhile with Naruto;

As the original Naruto appeared into the town not far from where the widows had mostly spread to, he made more clones to start a mixed set of tactics, some would distract the widows and others would move the people who were stuck in the danger zone away so he could fight unimpeded. Sitting down he meditated, gathering the nature chakra in the air around him. Again he could feel how it was very eager to fill him, but he could also feel a slight undercurrent of anger in the chakra as if it was angry at the widows. Shaking his head at the thought for now, Naruto could feel the chakras balance out. As the usual calm settled over him and his senses sharpened, he could feel the pain and fear of the towns' people. He could feel the lack of life that should have been there. Naruto stood up, ready this time to end these spiders faster than before. The last widow was weak to his wind attacks, so this time Naruto was going to use weaker and less destructive jutsus so that the town had less to rebuild later. Leaving two sage clones behind Naruto jumped down from the roof he had been on and sped his way to the biggest widow with a kunai coated in wind chakra in hand. He ducked and weaved around the rubble and avoided globs of what looked to be webbing and acid, sliding underneath the closest widow and slashing his kunai in the joint of the leg in front of him where it should be the weakest. The kunai dug in deeply before a sudden spray of blood rained on Naruto's face. The widow screamed out, stumbling back swinging her bladed set of arms at where he was. Naruto quickly bolted back before diving forward again, knowing he had an easier time avoiding the blades than dealing with whatever else she could spit at him. Now swinging kunai in each hand both coated in wind chakra, Naruto twisted and turned avoiding the blades by a mix of wide and narrow margins. Digging his kunai in the legs to prevent her from moving away from him, his sage mode helped extend his range so that he didn't have to be right next to the legs to damage them further. The widow eventually crashed down as her legs could no longer support her weight, and Naruto swiftly moved from underneath her. The widow saw this and shot a spray of needles at him, one managed to strike him causing him to suddenly stumble and crumble to the ground, and she sent another glob of acid at him instantly destroying his body. The widow roared her triumph over the strange tamer that had attacked her. She did not notice the figure racing towards her from behind. Naruto with a medium sized Rasengan powered up reached her head just as she turned to the sound it, only for the jutsu hit her squarely in the face, causing it to explode in a gory rain of blood, brain matter, and skull fragments. Her body slumped down, twitching every few seconds as it started to catch up that it was now dead. Naruto quickly went to the next menace, avoiding attacks and switching with clones when he couldn't, while the chucks of rubble rained down on him. This widow was nearly as big as the first one, but seemed smarter as she had better aim and kept moving to avoid getting close to him, but that didn't last long as he managed to get close enough to send a wind enhanced kunai through her armor and into her heart. The widow choked and gurgled on her blood before swiftly dying.

The third widow had noticed by this time that she had killed this blonde menace a number of times now, but he just kept coming. She was getting nervous, when she saw another one coming straight at her she panicked and suddenly the blonde went right through her. He turned around looking very confused, the widow smiled as he now could not see or attack her until she attacked him! But then she frowned, the male was confused for a moment but then he just looked in her direction. The widow couldn't understand how he knew she was there! Shaking her head, thinking maybe he's just looking in the last place she was, the widow quietly moved to get back in his blind spot only to feel somewhat scared now as he followed her movements easily. The widow was now truly feeling fear as the blonde grabbed more of those tiny impossibly sharp blades, but these ones had paper tags on them. Fearing what he would do with them she attacked, launching herself at him, jaws opened wide, fangs dripping with her poisons. Naruto merely watched for a second before he burst into five, all with kunai and exploding tags, shunshined before she could bite him, and each Naruto flung the armed kunai at different points of her body. The wind powered kunai plunged into the armor, the Narutos all made the same hand sign, and the widow stood no chance as the resulting explosion tore her body apart. Naruto continued like this for the next widow, catching the forth by surprise, only stopping a few times, mostly to remake his clone army and once to pop one of his sage clones to re-enter sage mode, then speeding toward the last one.

By the third widows' death the fifth one had stop attacking the town and watched Naruto as he fought. The widow was both aroused and terrified of this human male, as she could tell that he wasn't just a simple human male with a few blood gifts, he was powerful. He would have given her strong kits, but he was too powerful, she would have to pull all the stops just to kill him. As he drew nearer the widow opened her mouth and gathered energy at an alarming rate. Seeing this, Naruto shifted his trajectory so that anything behind him would not be the town, before raising his hands to create his strongest wind based jutsu, the RasenShuriken came screaming into the air as Naruto continued speeding towards his enemy carelessly. The energy continued to build quickly, glowing a frightening mix of white, red and yellow, and she shot the massive beam at the last second just as Naruto had jumped with his hand forward to meet her head on. The beam engulfed the blonde ninja. The two attacks clashed inside the beam and caused a large explosion that sent both opponents far from each other. The widow crashed through a fourth of the town before she got control of her limbs, while Naruto was sent 2 miles through the forest, knocking down huge trees and shattered boulders before finally landing in a bloody heap. The widow stood up, seeing the destruction in front of her she was fairly confident that he wouldn't be getting up to fight her again, but then remembered how he was able to defeat her sisters, so she raced to where he had crashed, planning to make sure the little bastard had truly died this time.

During this time, with Naruto lying on the ground he was barely aware, the weird beam attack had been more powerful than he had expected. It was strong enough to destabilize his jutsu and he wasn't fast enough to switch with a clone. His body burned with the many broken and bleeding limbs. He could hear the thundering steps of the spider-woman racing towards him, but his body just wouldn't move. Naruto was suddenly pulled into his mind, he could feel the dank sewer-like water soaking his body easily, before a huge tail came into his view, wrapping around his body and gently lifting him up and closer to the cage. Naruto shifted his eyes towards the cage, allowing him to see a large angry, glowing red eye staring at him.

"Kit, you are a baka. A baka that is in pretty rough shape. While I normally approve you trying to use your own punitive strength to deal with your fights, this time I will lend you a bit of mine. I've had enough of these blasted spiders, so here, shred that damn bitch and come talk to me later, we have business to discuss, you and I" growled the Kyuubi, not showing the tiny bit of worry at the damage its kit had received in that explosion, or how quiet the boy was and yet at the same time it could barely contain its excitement. The kit had proved just a bit more of his potential now with the seal loosened just that tiny bit from before. The fox wondered how much more the kit could improve if he didn't have these handicaps. The fox nodded to itself, pleased for the moment that its early decision was not a wasted chance as it feared. Settling down with its tales wrapped around its body to watch and see what would happen next, the fox didn't have to wait long as Naruto, now flooded with its chakra, stood up, and very much enjoyed seeing the spider freeze in fear as she caught sight of its host standing with its charka surrounding him visibly.

The widow raced to where the male had landed. She could easily see the destruction he carved out as he landed, climbing over the rubble only to freeze as she caught sight of him. The male had stood up, a terrifying red energy oozed out and around him. The hood had come up at some point, the ears on the hood spiked up higher with the red making it look like elongated ears, the tails of his coat were also coated in the red energy, began to flare out waving like fox tails, but it was his face that scared her the most. The male's eyes which she believed were a bluish color were clearly blood red and silted. The whisker marks were deeper, his lips turned black and his canines easily spilled out of his mouth. The widow could feel every instinct screaming at her to escape, that this was not a simple human male as she had already thought. But before she could turn to flee, he opened his mouth "Total Submission Aura!"sounded his roar that left the spider's body trembling with fear and her sex dripping with arousal. The male suddenly vanished from her sight only to have pain bloom through her body. She looked at her stomach where the pain was the worst to see his arm had punched through her armor and into her flesh. That red energy he gave off, she could feel it force its way into her body and it was devouring her soft fleshy inside easily. She screamed and thrashed, trying to removing him from her person, but he wrapped his other arm and legs around her waist, and the tails grabbed her arms to prevent her from simply tearing him off. She couldn't use any attacks as she couldn't focus beyond anything but the pain as it burned its way through her body. Moving her head to look down at the male, staring at those blood red eyes, she could only think to herself as her body slumped in death, "Those eyes. So red. Those are not eyes of a human, those eyes….."

Once Naruto was sure that the spider-woman was dead he cut off the flow of the fox's charka. His worst wounds were now more of annoyances than real problems. Shaking his head to clear the haziness in his mind, finally finished with the fighting, Naruto remembered that he hadn't made more clones to help with rescuing the villagers. After making more clones again he pulled out his dex to look at these damn things, only to curse himself a bit since if he had bother to check the information from the already dead widow from yesterday's battle, he would have been better prepared for this fight. He was glad only one of them had a chance to use some of the really nasty attacks, the destruction from just that weird beam thingy was pretty devastating.

Behold a nightmare made flesh.

Widows are truly monstrous to behold. From the waist up, they are vaguely humanoid in appearance, however their skin, dark black in color, is laced with a chitinous armor that can take immense damage from nearly every type of attack as well as dish it out due to sharp points protruding from the armor. They have a total of 8 blood red, compound eyes located all around their head, the back ones sparsely hidden by wisps of hair, allowing the Widow full three-hundred and sixty degree vision in addition to her two human forward facing eyes. Their jaws can split open at the chin, revealing razor-sharp mandibles and fangs that drip constantly with saliva. Within their mouths are another set of venom sacs that allow her bite to carry the Hyper Venom that she is so feared for, as well as giving her the ability to spray Hydrochloric from their mouths as well.

They have four arms. Two end in normal, five-fingered hands, but the lower pair end in long, curved blades that glisten with poison from the venom sacs located where the blade connects to their chitin armor. Their cunt, just at the base of their waist, is lined with spikes around the labia, which inject paralytic venom into a victim, making it easier for the Widow to do as she pleases with them. From the waist down, they are spidery in appearance. A massive spider's abdomen serves as a Widow's lower body, supported by four thick, powerful, hairy spider legs. The spider-legs are long and strong, and a Widow can balance herself on the two back legs to shoot webs or streams of acidic Hyper Venom.

Widows in combat are fierce, deadly fighters. Most attacks simply bounce off of their bodies, the only ones capable of affecting them being lightning and fire attacks, and dragon-element attacks, which are the only things which can truly hurt them. Combat against a Widow is to be avoided at all costs if encountered alone. Their attacks are fast and powerful, using their deadly scythe arms to eviscerate or decapitate and spraying streams of acid from their mouths or from the special glands located near her spinnerets. Widows, like other spider Pokégirls, do have the ability to create webbing, which helps them to immobilize males or any prey they may be interested in. One of their more deadly features is their Phasing ability, making most physical attacks nearly impossible to even hit. Fortunately, most Widows are constantly on the attack, making the trail of destruction an easy way of locating this menace even if they have enough awareness to use Invis.

If you ever see one, your best course of action is to quote the famous line from one of the survivors of the second Widow attack: "Run the fuck away, Dumbass!""

Naruto snorted at the widow's supposed vision range as he could clearly move faster than what she could see, but soon frowned after checking the dex about what other information it had on the different attacks and what they did. He was really glad none of them had used the Hyper Venom as that would have been a nightmare and a half to deal with. Pulling out his sealing kit and the scroll that held the first widow, Naruto quickly added more sealing slots next to the first one so that he can have a widow in each one, thinking that the remains might be good stuff to use for his pokegirls later and see if the armor or anything else could be useful. After all, just because he could beat them fairly easily doesn't mean that anyone else can, and he might find some other use for the corpses. Moving back into what was left of the town for the other widows, Naruto remembered that he still had a clone left that was gathering nature chakra. He decided to save that clone for later because if the widow corpses were left there too long, they may start to leak poison into the surrounding area which was definitely not something he wanted. At the towns' edge he could see just how bad the overall destruction in this area was, the buildings were mostly firewood and kindling. Glass shards scattered the ground as did the blood and body parts from both the widows and the towns' people who weren't so lucky. Shaking his head at the memories of a similar nightmare, Naruto quickly got to work collecting the bodies he could visibly see.

When he was finished with that he popped his last sage-clone using the sensing abilities that come with this form to check if there were anyone in the immediate area that was still alive, but it was silent. Looking sadly at the loss Naruto moved further back into town, directing and helping his clones and other survivors who were wandering about looking for friends and family. It wasn't until nearly dawn that his clones started to dismiss themselves, updating their boss on the state of the town and its now ragged populous. Many were injured and dying as the acid ate away at them. Naruto was proud of how the girls, in particular his new Squirtitty, was handling everything even though she was so weak. Naruto nodded to himself that his water girl had shown great promise already and was starting to make plans for her training when a new memory surfaced. Naruto stumbled as the implications of this started to sink in. Even knowing that it was pointless, Naruto ran to the last known location of where the pokegirl was. He had to check, he just had to see with his own eyes.

An: My beta and I agree with one the reviewers that the pokedex stuff is too long it was my beta's biggest complaint so I will be working to shrink those down in the future to be maybe something more like how the kids cartoon Pokemon is like.
