Mother Base, 2 days later after Euphemia's declaration of the Special Administration Zone

Orpheus "Oz" Zevon was walking through the bridge that connects to the soldier quarters. After leaving the mercenary leaders table from the mess hall after a painful headache, he had no choice but to dismiss. He couldn't do anything but feel that something is missing.

It happened a week ago before he met Cornelio. He was doing his usual works for Peace Mark, which is receiving requests from clients who wants them to either perform assassination or terrorism. One day he received a mission from his unknown leader to meet up with some Britannian VIP in Area 14(New Guinea) for a work. Of course, they didn't discard the possibility of being a trap or ambush. So, they have sent 4 soldiers to go with Orpheus and act as undercover bodyguards.

When he met the client, that's when the whole thing started. He couldn't remember what happened after he met the client, only that the operation was a success, which doesn't make any sense and every time he tried to remember, he would get a headache or extreme pain. He asked the soldiers that were with him if anything happened during that time, but said that nothing happened, no incident, nothing.

Orpheus decided to dismiss it for now and focus on his objective. Find and kill his uncle Oiaguro Zevon and his organization "Pluton", who destroyed the villagers that protected him and murdered the only person he had ever loved, Euliya.

Days later, he got a request from his leader. To meet with Big Boss and form an alliance with MSF. He accepted the request and was told on how to meet MSF. They got an information, one that was VERY hard to get, that MSF had sent a large group of soldiers to the middle east. It would be the perfect opportunity to introduce themselves to MSF, so they wasted no time. Orpheus told them that he would go there by himself, saying that it would be easier for him to work and he would like some alone time now and then.

During his journey, he met with Cornelio and his assassins when he stowaway in a cargo truck, which just so happens to be Cornelio's. They had a small confrontation, but Cornelio stopped the fight, seeing that Orpheus is a rather skilled young man and a capable warrior. Cornelio questioned him, at first Orpheus refused to speak, but after revaluating his situation, he decided to talk to him.

Cornelio learned that he was from Peace Mark, which he was kinda familiar with. Although he never met them, he had heard rumors about a secret terrorist organization who would lend aid for anyone against Britannia. Cornelio then offered him a proposition that would benefit both: Travel together to the middle east to meet MSF, which coincidentally, was also his objective.

Orpheus was never a person who would enjoy the company of others, but during the time with Cornelio and his assassins, he was actually enjoying a bit. It had been a very long time since he felt happiness, after her beloved Euliya died.

Just then, Orpheus reached to his quarters. MSF granted him some days to stay, due to the amount of works and job request across the world because of the Britannian war with other superpowers, they didn't have enough time for an audience with Orpheus. So, to compensate him, Miller gave him stay of 5 days, and during those days, Miller himself would speak to him and come up with an agreement between MSF and Peace Mark. After all, Miller said that MSF is a business.

Orpheus was about to lie down on his bed, but suddenly, his mind went blank, and then he went into a trance state-like. The doors of the quarters opened and entered several individuals, a total of 15 people. They were wearing standard Britannian uniforms with the Peace Mark.

One of them approached Orpheus. It was a young girl with a very long brown hair.

"You did a good job, Orpheus" Complimented the girl.

"Thank you, Clara Lanfranc"

Clara smiled and then turned to the rest of the "Peace Mark members"

"It's time for the next phase"

Meanwhile, in the Special Administration Zone.

On a giant stadium, thousands of Japanese were on the line to get administered to the new zone announced by Euphy. Britannian militaries were stationed around with orders of not harming the Japanese, only remove the troublemakers.

Guilford and Darlton were ordered by Cornelia before leaving to the homeland to stay by Euphy's side and assist her. Guilford at first was against of leaving Cornelia alone, but she reassured him that nothing bad will happen and that all she will do is just go to the Pendragon and she'll be back soon. Guilfod at the end decided to acknowledge her orders and stayed in Area 11 with Darlton.

Meanwhile inside the stadium, many Japanese were getting applied to the zone, with Suzaku, Euphy and Ishmael watching the crowd.

"Over twenty thousand people have applied to join the Nippon special zone. The way things look, the number's just going to grow" Spoke Suzaku with a smile.

"Thanks to you" Said Euphy turned her head at him.

Suzaku then looked at her with a surprised look.

"Because of what you represent to the Japanese people, everyone believes in what we're doing here" Said Euphy with a soft smile.

"No… It must be because of the proclamation you made, Princess" Dismissed Suzaku.

Alligator chuckled, getting their attention. He then patted Suzaku's in a friendly way and spoke.

"Come on, Suzaku. Lighten up! I have seen many Japanese viewing you as their source of motivation and hope. So, don't feel like you are underappreciated, ok?"

Suzaku let out a smile at Ishmael's encouraging words.

"Thank you, Ishmael, Euphy… I'm truly thankful"

"As am I, to both of you" Said Euphy, looking at her two knights.

Alligator couldn't help but feel happy. Even though he is an undercover agent, he was really enjoying helping people, mainly due to his other work as a medic.

"I hope you two will help me with everything that's still to come" Continued Euphy.

"Yes, your… Yes" Suzaku corrected himself, still having the habit of being very polite.

"Yes" Joined Alligator. Although from the outside, he looked happy. Deep inside him was feeling a bit conflicted due to his loyalty to Big Boss.

"Say, Ishmael" Started Euphy.

"Yes?"

"I hope you don't mind me asking this. But where have you been yesterday? I tried to call you, but there was no signal" Asked Euphy.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I was fixing one of my equipment and I kinda overdid it" Said Alligator with an embarrassed tone.

Euphy giggled softly "It's ok, just don't overdo it again"

Alligator smiled softly and nodded "I will"

"Let's go, Suzaku, Ishmael" Called Euphy, with Suzaku following her.

Just when Suzaku and Euphy started to walk away, they failed to notice that Alligator's smile turned into a frown.

He moved his right hand to his ear and whispered.

"How much longer"

"…"

"4 hours?"

"…"

"Good, once you're done, upload it to the USB"

"…"

"Make sure you don't lose it"

"…"

"Good luck"

Alligator finished his conversation and followed Euphy and Suzaku.

Meanwhile, in the Black Knights Mobile base

At this moment, the core members of the Black Knights were together and discussing about the Special Administration Zone. Tohdoh, DIethard, Rakshata and Ohgi were sitting on the main couch, Kallen, Minami, Asahina, Sugiyama and Inoue were standing, Chiba was sitting on one of the stairs that leads to the 2nd floor, Tamaki was sitting on the ground and Yoshida on an extra couch. Big Boss is also present, he was leaning against the wall with his eye closed and he was right behind Minami. He was also smoking one of his cigars while the Black Knights were discussing their current predicament.

"The situation's serious. It's not just supporters. Some of our own members have applied to the special zone" Said Tohdoh with an angry tone.

"Unlike the Black Knights, there's no risk in joining the Nippon special zone" Added Diethard.

"Besides, when you compare the pedigreed princess and the unknown masked man, it's clear which one is more appealing." Pointed out Rakshata.

"Word is that Kyoto is cooperating with them too" Said Minami.

"What's up with that?!" Said Tamaki annoyingly for some reason.

"Probably because they're offering equality" Said Sugiyama.

"Equality my ass! We can't just take their word for it!" Protested Kallen, feeling suspicion about it.

"I agree. But unless we decide how to respond this quickly…" Said Minami.

"Listen…" Spoke Ohgi, catching their attention. "If it works like Euphemia's proposal, then It wouldn't be wrong for the Black Knights to support it, right?"

"Like she said, can we trust their promises?" Said Tamaki, agreeing what Kallen said before.

"Supporting the special zone doesn't contradict what Zero's said, does it?" Said Ohgi.

"But that's…" Kallen said until Chiba interrupted her.

"First off, they'll force us to disarm"

"That IS a problem, isn't it?" Said Rakshata.

"And we'll get swallowed up in their regime and lose our independence" Added Tohdoh.

"On the other hand, if we don't support it, we become the enemy of freedom and equality." Also added Diethard.

"Then we first have to support it!" Inquired Ohgi.

"Without any guarantees?" Asked Diethard.

"But we can't ignore it, either" Replied Ohgi.

"We have one. Big Boss and MSF" Said Kallen, causing everyone to look at her.

"Yes! MSF and the Black Knights are separate groups, if something were to happen, we could count on Big Boss and his soldiers" Said Minami.

"Speaking of which. Oi, Big Boss! What's your take on this?" Asked Tamaki. Everyone's gaze was turned to Big Boss, who was still smoking with his eyes closed.

"Damn, how many cigarettes does he smoke?" Thought Tamaki, confusing Big Boss' cigar as cigarettes.

Big Boss inhaled his cigar and then exhaled when he removed his cigar.

"That depends on Zero's decision If he wants the Black Knights to support the special zone" Said Big Boss as he inhaled again his cigar.

"But if you ask me. Anyone is free to choose what they want." Added Big Boss.

Everyone reflected on what Big Boss said.

"You have a point, Big Boss. I'm sure that Zero will agree to the special zone. Like I said before, it doesn't contradict Zero's goal and we can't force people to accept our decision. If we do that, we would be no better than Britannia" Said Ohgi, his words seems to have some effect on the rest of the members.

1 hour later

Big Boss returned to MSF secret base after the reunion with the Black Knights about the special zone. He spoke his own opinion about the special zone, that people were free to choose. Although he had another opinion, one that he chose not to share with the Black Knights and out of respect for their goals.

This whole event reminded him of Paz, with the conversations he had with her about peace and her speech when she hijacked Metal Gear Zeke. He could still remember her last words said to him…

"Listen to me Big Boss! As long as your army is needed, the world will never know true peace!"

"The peace you will know will be fleeting-illusory, they will use you, disgrace you, and then, finally, discard you like they would a cancer to society"

"This is the path YOU have chosen!"

He knows perfectly that as long as his army exist, there would never be peace. Conflict would appear and he and his army will be there to fight.

He decided to rest a bit and wait how things will turn out. So, he opened the door that leads to his small office, which is a small room, consisted of a couch, a normal office table with a chair, with some files on top of the table.

Miller returned to Mother Base the day after Euphemia proclaimed her special zone. He said that he wanted to see this special zone for himself, but since Alligator was with Euphemia, he had to go back and manage MSF. Ocelot has decided to stay and support Big Boss. The reason was that he had a bad feeling about this. When Euphemia announced her special zone, he couldn't help but feel that this was too good to be true. If what he had learned through his line of work, is always trust your guts, and this is definitely one that he mustn't dismiss.

Just when he opened the door, someone called him… From the inside.

"Yo, Boss!"

Big Boss suddenly drew out his handgun and pointed whoever it was inside the room.

It was Veg, he was waving at him while sitting on a couch with his right leg resting on his left leg.

"Is this going to be a thing between you and I? Big Boss groaned in annoyance with Veg appearing and disappearing whenever he wants.

Veg chuckled.

"Oh, don't worry, I assure you that this will be the last"

"Yeah, sure" Big Boss put his gun back to his holster.

"What do you need? I sincerely thought you would appear like, in a month" Asked Big Boss.

"Haha, very funny" Said Veg sarcastically.

"The reason why I'm here is to talk to you" Veg continued.

"Talk?"

"About the special zone"

"You mean when you mentioned about something that will happen in the special zone?"

"Yes"

"Why telling me this now?" Questioned Big Boss, feeling suspicious on why Veg hadn't decided to inform it with Miller or Ocelot.

Veg sighed.

"This is something that no one must know, and I thought that maybe you can prevent it"

"Prevent it?"

"In the special zone, something terrible will happen, and it has something to do with Zero and the princess"

"What?" Big Boss said confused.

"I know this sounds crazy, but this is what my bosses and I were hoping to prevent" Said Veg.

"This is making no sense" Said Big Boss. He had for a long time experienced all kinds of bizarre and supernatural events. Volgin, the Cobra Units, ghosts, Isla del Monstruo, transported to this world and amongst others, but this one is making less sense than the ones he mentioned. It was as if Veg has seen the future…

Or could it be…?

"Regardless, this is something I want to prevent and you are my only hope of saving… her"

"Her?" Questioned Big Boss.

Veg stood up from the couch and went to the door.

"Wait…!"

Veg rose his left hand, stopping him.

"Sorry, but I can't say much anymore. But I promise, once this is over. I'll tell you everything"

Veg left the room. But before leaving he said one last thing.

"Stay tuned, Big Boss. I'll speak with you again, very soon"

In a blink of an eye, Veg disappeared again.

Big Boss frowned at his disappearing act, wondering how he keeps doing that. Was it some kind of unnatural power similar to the Cobra units?

"I really need to improve the base's security defense" Commented Big Boss.

Back in Mother Base, in the mess hall

In the mess hall, Chico was having lunch with Dafne and Akira after another day of tour. Chico took his time and introduced them to several members of MSF. First her sister Amanda, whom she took a liking to Dafne because of her tough personality, which reminded herself when she was little, and Akira of his shyness and finding him cute.

Second, to the FSLN members. Dafne got to speak Spanish with them, and many of them enjoyed her company, although Akira wasn't able to communicate with them since he doesn't know Spanish.

Third, Cecile Cosima Caminades. The 2 kids loved the French woman very much, she was very nice, caring, friendly, and she would talk to them about the species of birds she has seen.

Fourth, the mercenary leaders, Gregory gave them a great impression, his personality and selfless aptitude reminded them one of those knights from the medieval age when their caretaker told them of fairy tale stories. Adalhelm was a weird man, but they found his outburst and screaming "Werewolf Corp science is the best in the world!" to be very hilarious. Eliza, another young woman whom they also like, since she was similar to Gregory. Zangief was one of the nicest men they have ever met in their lives, he greeted them one time with a big hug and spoke with such a caring tone, to put it simple, he was like a giant teddy bear. Yang is a energetic and likeable girl, her smile and grin always makes them feel happy, but the same can't be said with Lightning, she looked very grumpy and she rarely speaks with people, the only ones they have ever seen her speak was with Yang, some of her soldiers, and at some point, Eliza. With Cornelio they were neutral since they didn't have the chance to meet him, the same goes with Orpheus.

And lastly, the rest of the MSF members. They liked most of them. Despite being mercenaries, they showed them that they can be playful, tolerant, social and even silly, though some can be very annoying or troublemakers.

"So, what do you think?! Mother Base is pretty cool, huh?" Asked Chico with an excited tone before taking a bite of his steak from his lunch.

Dafne managed to let out a smile, though she felt it strange due to her time in the facility, she found this new feeling very comfortable.

"I love this place" Said Dafne.

"Me too" Added Akira, also with a smile. This time he was dressed in a black t shirt with a dark jacket to cover his wings, he wore a blue jean and a pair of black sport shoes with white stripes.

"Right?! I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life here!"

"Don't you have home in Nicaragua? Asked Dafne, wondering why he would like to stay here if he has a home.

Chico frowned a bit.

"It's true. My home is Nica, me and my sis are running our revolución and make Nica a better place" Said Chico remembering what he and Amanda told Zadornov when MSF assaulted the American base to stop Peace Walker.

"Against Britannia? But no one has ever defied them" Said Dafne with a confused tone, how would a group of people, with poor equipment, fight against Britannia?

"Oh! Y-Yeah, but we must continue our fight and never give up "Hasta la victoria siempre!" "Said Chico nervously, since he almost blew his cover.

Dafne looked at him with a questioning face.

"What about you guys? Are you going to live here in Mother Base" Chico asked, deciding to change the subject.

"I guess so? I mean, we will go wherever our parents go" Said Akira.

"If mamá wants to leave, I'll go with here" Added Dafne, showing that she is willing to go with her parents, Shira and Liz.

"That is not a bad at all. I'm sure Big Boss wouldn't mind" Replied Chico with a smile.

As Chico kept talking, Dafne sniffed something strange away from their tables. She sniffed again, this time focusing on the scent and saw where it came from. Close to the exit, a group composed of 8 people, 2 MSF soldiers, 2 Britannian MSF, 2 Forgotten Knights, 2 Chinese Federation MSF and 2 Peace Mark member. The strange scent she detected came from the Peace Mark member.

Dafne eyes became serious. She stood up and slowly decided to follow them, her instinct was telling her that something is wrong with that one.

"Dafne?" Asked Akira. Chico also noticed her walking away.

"Dafne, where are you going?" Called Chico, but she ignored the 2 boys and kept walking away.

"What happened?" Chico asked Akira.

"I-I'm not sure, I have never seen her before like this" Said Akira with a concerned tone.

"It's best if we follow her" Suggested Chico, which Akira agreed. Something is really wrong.

In the R&D

Zangief and Adalhelm were inspecting in the R&D the progress and work for any improvement on weapons, vehicles and Knigthmares. MSF scientists, Werewolves corps engineers and men power of the Brotherhood of Iron and Steel

"With this, we can make our Knightmares more resistant against Britannia's weapons" Said Adalhelm with interest.

"Hmmmm, indeed. It will also benefit MSF and we will become even stronger than before!" Boomed Zangief.

Adalhelm chuckled at the enthusiasm of this muscle man.

"Sir!"

Adalhelm and Zangief turned their head to see who called. It was the scientist Yoshiyuki Tomino.

"What is it, doctor?" Asked Zangief.

"We finished modifying the crystal shaped Sakuradite, it is prepared to be used as the test subject for our weapons" Informed Yoshiyuki.

"Good!" Nodded Adalhelm, it was a while ago when Miller asked for Adalhelm and his scientists to pursue a research: Discover the component of the crystal shaped Sakuradite. Miller informed them that before MSF debut, they found this in the coast of Area 6. It was possible that this a pure made sakuradite, which is rare to find one, and there hasn't been any study on pure Sakuradite.

Suddenly, the door of the R&D facility opened. Adalhelm and Zangief turned to see who was entering, and it revealed to be 5 Peace Mark members.

"Hello there! What are you guys doing here?" Greeted Zangief while approaching them.

"Well, You see…" Spoke one of them, a female member of the Peace Mark.

She then activated her Geass and stared at Zangief, Adalhelm and Yoshiyuki.

"What?!" Said Zangief only to fall blank out and then fall to the ground unconscious.

"Zangie-!" Adalhelm also fell after looking at her.

"Who-?!" Yoshiyuki didn't have time to react as he also fell unconscious.

The rest of the staff members noticed and quickly ran to them, but the moment they saw her eyes. They all fell to the ground.

The female Peace Mark moved her hand to her right ear and spoke through the comm.

"It's clear"

In the hangar section

40 MSF soldiers were doing their routines in the hangar, such as checking for maintenance, re-arranging vehicles, repairs, or verifying that the AI weapons were functional.

Outside of the hangar, 5 of them were doing a small patrol and they were carrying their new assault rifles, MX5.

Then, they saw 5 people arriving to the hangar.

The MSF soldiers were able to identify them as Peace Mark members and surprisingly, the one who was leading them was Miller himself.

"Commander Miller, we weren't expecting you to be here" Said one of the MSF soldiers.

"Ah don't worry, I'm just taking stroll and showing around our new members" Said Miller indicating the Peace Mark members.

"Oh, sure, Commander Miller!" The MSF soldier moved aside and let Miller and the Peace Mark members to continue their walk.

"Thank you" Miller thanked as they walked forward.

The 5 MSF soldiers saluted and then continued their patrol.

"It's a little odd to see commander Miller with these Peace Mark guys" Commented one of the MSF soldiers.

"I don't think we have to worry; commander Miller is a business man and he knows it pretty well" Added another MSF soldier.

With Miller and Peace Mark, they got inside the hangar.

Miller then turned to one of the Peace Mark members, called Kafca

"Kafca, it's your turn" Said "Miller"

Kafca nodded his head and then he approached one of the staff MSF members.

"Hi! What can I do for you?" Asked the MSF member.

"Yeah! Do you know where the bathroom is?" Asked Kafca.

The MSF member tilted his head in confusion, but replied anyway.

"Just walked straight to that direction and then turn right" Indicatd the MSF member.

"Thank you very much!" Said Kafca politely and then he walked to that direction.

"That was weird" Muttered the MSF member.

Kafca then activated his Geass once he entered the bathroom, and then he walked out of the bathroom and went back to the group.

"Did you get it?" Asked "Miller".

"Yes" Smirked Kafca.

"Miller" then motioned the group to walk with him to the inside of the hangar, they reached an empty store room and "Miller" turned out to be Orpheus with his geass active, which is how he was impersonating Miller.

"Transfer them from Kafca" Ordered Orpheus to another Peace Mark member who is known as Fuangu.

Fuangu activated his Geass and focused on Kafca, and then Fuangu transferred Kafca acquired memories to the rest, now they know the whole place of the hangar.

"Very good. Now, you 2 will go to Zeke, Fuangu, Kafca and I will handle the AI" Ordered Orpheus, thus they began their objective.

Meanwhile in the special zone

At this moment, the special zone was ready to begin. With the Britannian military, including Guilford and Darlton, serving as bodyguards. There important figures such as Kirihara Taizou, as well as countless Japanese present to support the zone. Reporters started to broadcast this event worldwide, with the Chinese Federation and the Europia United also witnessing the event.

"This is the stadium for the inaugural ceremony for the specially administrated zone of Nippon. The stadium is already stuffed full with Elevens… Sorry, I mean with Japanese. Many Japanese who couldn't get inside are gathered outside."

"Lesley, do you think Zero will show up here?"

"No, he's apparently made no contact at this point in time"

"What about Big Boss?"

"The leader of Militaire Sans Frontieres hasn't spoken a word about this either"

Amongst the crowd inside the stadium, Veg was there, in the third line of the sits. This time he wore a simple outfit, a dark t shirt, with a long sleeve brown coat, his pants were jeans and a pair of brown boots.

"Here we go" muttered Veg with hope.

"Will Zero or Big Boss even show up? I doubt it" Said one of them with a smugly tone.

Several politicians sat in a round table while watching the broadcast

"Not if the data we have on the man is true" Commented one of them with disinterest.

Back to the special zone

After several minutes of waiting, it was time to begin the event, with or without the Black Knights.

"Princess Euphemia, it's time" Spoke Darlton. He was sitting next to Euphy, with Guilford sitting next to Darlton.

"Right" Euphy stood up, and stopped for a moment to see the 2 empty seats that were reserved for Zero and Big Boss.

Euphy was about to speak, until there was some kind of zooming noise.

Everyone looked to the sky and to the south side of the stadium.

It was the Gawain, with Zero standing on its left shoulder and Big Boss on its right shoulder, arms crossed. This time Big Boss was wearing his standard MSF uniform.

"Zero…Big Boss" Said Suzaku with a small frown.

"Boss" Thought Alligator who was standing behind Suzaku.

"It's Zero!"

"Zero's appeared!"

"It's Big Boss!"

"Big Boss appeared too!"

"They came after all!" Said Euphy happily.

"Your target is Zero and Big Boss. If they make any suspicious move, kill them at once!" Ordered one of the military commanders.

"Yes, my lord!" Said in unison the Britannian soldiers.

"Welcome, Zero, Big Boss! Welcome to the specially administrated zone of Nippon!" Greeted Euphy as she approached them.

"Euphemia li Britannia! I wish to speak with you!" Spoke Zero.

"With me?"

"Yes! With you alone!"

"Something major has happened, ladies and gentlemen! Zero and Big Boss have boldly appeared! Under Princess Euphemia's directions, they are moving toward G1" informed a reporter to the media.

The Gawain landed on the platform behind the stage with the G1 in front. Zero and Big Boss got down of the Gawain and approached Euphemia, Suzaku, Ishmael, and her 3 bodyguards with handguns on hand in case they do something suspicious.

One of the Britannians approached Zero and Big Boss with a scanner for security measures.

"There doesn't seem to be any obvious problems with Zero" Said the Britannian.

"As for Big Boss…" He didn't need to finish as they could see that Big Boss is always armed with his Mk.22, and the new rifle MX5.

"I can remove my weapons and equipment" Said Big Boss.

"Very well, hand them over" Said the Britannian.

Big Boss proceeded to withdraw his handgun, assault rifle, Fulton recovery, NVG, Chaff grenade, grenades, stun grenades, his radio comm, and a carboard box?

With the exception of Ishmael, everyone was dumbfounded at the cardboard box.

"What the hell?" Asked one of the bodyguards.

The Britannian proceeded to scan Big Boss again.

"This way, please" Said Euphy with a smile and then started to walk to the G1 main room.

"Princess Euphemia, it's dangerous to be alone with this man. Let me come with you at least" Suggested Suzaku. He may not view Zero as the biggest terrorist he was trying to arrest thanks to Big Boss, but deep inside he still doesn't trust him fully.

"It's all right. Trust me" Assured Euphy

Suzaku wanted to say something, but stopped and nodded "Ok"

"What of Big Boss?" Asked Euphy's female bodyguard.

"I'll handle it" Said Ishmael.

"Oh, Ishmael, I don't think that's necessary. Big Boss wouldn't do anything bad, right?" Euphemia turned to Big Boss.

"Yeah" Big Boss nodded.

"Come, Zero" Called Euphy as she walked to the mobile base, with Zero behind her.

Several minutes after Euphy and Zero entered, Ishmael called Big Boss.

"Big Boss. I wish to speak with you, if you don't mind"

Big Boss decided to act like he was unaware of it.

"Me?"

"Yes"

"Ishmael, I don't think it's a good idea." Said Suzaku. He didn't have anything against Big Boss, but it would be better to stick to the protocol.

"I agree" Concurred one of the bodyguards.

"It's all right, trust me. Big Boss wouldn't do anything to jeopardize himself, he's unarmed now and the Britannian military is surrounding the area. Even if he tries anything, it would send a bad message to his reputation and the Black Knights" Reasoned Ishmael.

They were a bit skeptical, but after what Ishmael said, it eased their worry.

"Very well. But if he does something, he will be under arrest. Understood?" Said the female bodyguard.

Ishmael nodded and then motioned Big Boss to follow him.

The two went to the left side of the G1.

Once they got there, Big Boss looked around a bit, and Alligator did the same, making sure that there was no one there.

"All clear?" Whispered Big Boss.

"Yes" Replied Alligator.

"Good. Do you have the mic?" Asked Big Boss.

Alligator reached to his pocket and took out a very small mic. The small mic may not look much, but it was enough to hear loud and clear conversations from far away.

He also took out a small communicator that works in conjunction with the mic.

Alligator was informed in time by Big Boss about what they were going to do. According to Veg's info that he sent to Big Boss earlier. Big Boss is to hear the conversation between Zero and Euphemia, and the moment that Euphemia says something irrational. He and Alligator would go and stop her.

Big Boss and Alligator were disturbed at Veg's instructions. Euphemia becoming irrational? Stop her before it's too late? Both men decided to settle this later, for now, they will do what he said.

"I'll put the mic on my shoulder. It will detect the signal frequency and voice of the conversation where I am standing. This way it won't raise any suspicion." Informed Alligator.

Big Boss nodded. He put the comm on his ear and then proceeded to hear the conversation between Euphemia and Zero.

Meanwhile, far away from the special zone, in the mountains. Black Knights and MSF Knightmares were in position in case something happened. The Black Knights were behind the trees while MSF knightmares were in front. Ocelot is also present, with his Knightmare Leopardus standing next to Guren.

"Oi, how long are we supposed to hang around here?" Asked Tamaki annoyed.

"Wasn't having Zero tell us to wait here enough for you?" Said Kallen.

"Yeah, but…"

"Everything starts after we confirm the Britannian's real intentions" Said Ohgi.

"Deputy commander" Called Tohdoh.

"Hm? Yes?"

"Because he knows that what their intentions are, he's told all of us to hide and stand by at all four corners, hasn't he?" Continued Tohdoh.

"It's dangerous to draw conclusions" Replied Ohgi.

"He's even having Diethard and Rakshata standing by" Added Tohdoh.

"I agree with Tohdoh" Suddenly spoke Ocelot and gaining Tohdoh, Ohgi and Kallen attention.

"Hm? You do, Ocelot-san?" Asked Kallen.

"Yeah. During my younger days in the military, I learned that no matter how good a mission goes or how good a proposition is, sooner or later, something bad will happen" Said Ocelot remembering his experiences with Volgin. How The Boss was successful on gaining Volgin's trust, only for him to nuke the facility and blame her, or when Granin helped Big Boss, just to be tortured and killed by Volgin later.

"But, you don't know that" Protested a bit Ohgi "Maybe it is true that Princess Euphemia will grant us, the Japanese, a home without discrimination"

Ocelot sighed at Ohgi's naivety.

"Perhaps. If it is revealed that Princess Euphemia's action is genuine, then I won't argue you there. But we must also consider the worst-case scenario. If whatever happens in that special zone, then we must be ready" Said Ocelot.

No one spoke after that, Ohgi pondered on what Ocelot said, he knows that Ocelot is one of the best commanders of Big Boss, but deep inside, he was wishing that Euphemia's special zone becomes true.

"These ones need maintenance, take those to the R&D!"

"Give me a recount of our available vehicles, tanks, aircrafts and Knightmares!"

Miller gave commands to several staff members through the command center. After the trip to the Tokyo settlement, it was time to get back to work.

"Commander Miller, one of our choppers are returning with the resources for our latest weapons" Informed Hideo.

"Good, it will come in handy" Commented Miller.

"Also, one of the Peace Mark core members are arriving" Added Hideo.

Miller then looked at Hideo with a surprised expression.

"Core members?"

"Yes, sir"

"I thought Orpheus Zevon is one of them" Wondered Miller.

"Actually sir, he only represents Peace Mark, and he does their works" Informed one of the MSF staff members.

"So kinda like Boss, huh? Once they arrive, have this Peace Mark core member meet me here in the command center, so we can talk business" Said Miller. He was interested on striking a business deal with Peace Mark.

"Yes, sir!" Hideo went back to manage the communication controls. Just when he was about to send a message to that chopper, he noticed something strange. One of the comm signals displayed on its panel was off. Normally, all the comm signals should be displayed in order to get a better transmission, and in MSF, it is a duty to always maintain the best conditions.

"That's strange…" Muttered Hideo.

"Comm team, check the communication tower of the southeast section of R&D, there seems to be a problem with it" Ordered Hideo.

"Understood!"

Hideo went back to the control panel and was about to contact to the chopper. But then he noticed that 2 more comm signals went down.

"What the?" Said Hideo.

"What's the problem, Hideo?" Spoke Miller, noticing the sudden words from Hideo.

"Something strange just happened. Two of our communication signals were shut down, right after I sent a team to check the communication tower of the R&D" Replied Hideo.

"I see, it's probably nothing. Maybe some kind of fallout. Besides, Adalhelm and Zangief would inform us of anything" Said Miller.

"But that's the problem, sir. The first one affected the R&D and those 2 came from the Hangar section and the soldier quarters"

"Wait, those sections…!" Miller suddenly realized something.

"Yes, they are related to MSF defenses!" Finished Hideo.

Everyone in the command center paled at what Hideo said. This would mean that something or someone is rigging its defenses.

"Dear god, don't tell me that… We have an infiltrator!" Said Miller in horror.

Miller quickly activated his comm and tried to contact Zangief or Adalhelm.

"Adalhelm! Zangief! Do you copy?! RESPOND!" Called Miller, but no one replied. Miller's fear was multiplied. The situation became serious now.

Big Boss started to listen the conversation between Euphemia and Zero.

"You are taking a lot of care, aren't you? Even though the cameras are off" He heard Euphy's voice. Then the sounds of footsteps revealing to be Zero as he spoke.

"Because I've been hiding for a long time, the fault of a certain empire, I'm afraid"

*Click*

Next thing he heard was a clicking sound, one that he is familiar with. The sound of a handgun.

"This is a needle gun, made from ceramic and bamboo. It can't be picked up on a detector"

Big Boss was slightly shocked that Zero brought a handgun and it is highly possible that he was pointing it at Euphy.

"Boss?" Whispered Alligator. Big Boss rose one index finger to his lip, indicating to be silent for a moment.

"Lelouch, you wouldn't shoot me, would you?" Said Euphy with a rather calmed tone.

"Lelouch?" Thought Big Boss.

"No, I wouldn't. You'll be doing the shooting, Euphy"

"Huh?!" Gasped Big Boss softly. Alligator looked concerned on what Big Boss was hearing. Big Boss also heard Euphy gasp in shock.

"This ceremony is being broadcast worldwide. And the world's going to see you, a Britannian princess, shoot Zero. What do you think will happen then?" Spoke Zero, now Big Boss identifying him as Lelouch.

"Violence would break out, I imagine"

"Right, Zero will become a martyr, tricked into a deathtrap. And your popularity will crash to the earth" Continued Lelouch with an evil tone.

"What kind of nonsense are you saying? Help me rebuild Japan…"

"If you arbitrarily push it upon us from on high, you are being just as bad as Clovis! was" Interrupted Lelouch.

"All conditions for this situation have been cleared. After hovering near death, Zero will be cheered when he makes a miraculous recovery. People don't care about reason, but they can't resist a good miracle" Said Lelouch, with each sentence making him sound eccentric.

Big Boss was honestly feeling unsettled about this.

"Now, take the gun"

Euphy gasped.

"There can only be one messiah, once they see you are a false one. The people will support me" Said Lelouch.

Euphy then stepped forward with a pained look.

"Please, Lelouch. You don't have to do this!" Said Euphy with a sad tone. "We can work this out, there is no need for violence!"

"Stop giving me your pity!" Suddenly Lelouch lashed out at Euphy, causing her to gasp and fall on the ground.

"I won't take your charity! I have to try and achieve this on my own! And for that, I'll stain your hands in blood, Euphemia li Britannia!" Shouted Lelouch madly and activating his geass.

Big Boss kept hearing.

"I've given up that name!"

"Huh?"Lelouch suddenly gasped while at the same time deactivating his geass.

"There'll probably be an announcement from the homeland soon, but I've given up my claim to the throne!" Revealed Euphy

Big Boss rose an eyebrow with interest.

"Why? Not because you accepted Zero, is it?" Said Lelouch with a shocked tone.

" A price had to be paid for doing something this selfish, right?" Said Euphy.

Lelouch's eyes widened in shock.

"It's easy for you to give it up, isn't it? I suppose you did it for my sake"

Euphy giggled at what Lelouch said.

"You are as conceited as ever, I see. I did it for Nunnally!"

"Nunnally?" Thought Big Boss

"She told me herself. " As long as I can be with my brother. I don't need anything else." "Continued Euphy.

"And that's why you…?!"

"And that's what made up my mind" Said Euphy happily

"It made me consider what was truly important to me. So do you see, Lelouch? I'm not giving up anything that's truly important to me. And don't worry, I won't tell anyone about you!" Continued Euphy, unaware that Big Boss knows it now.

Suddenly Big Boss heard Lelouch laugh, like he had gone crazy or something.

"And Cornelia?" Said Lelouch.

"It's not like we'll never see each other again" Said Euphy.

"You are a fool. An amazing fool" Said Lelouch sarcastically.

"I may not have ever been able to beat you at games or studies, Lelouch, but…"

"But in your own rash way, you ended up winning it all. When I think about it, more than being the sub-viceroy or a princess, you were always just plain little Euphy" Said Lelouch with an incredulous tone.

"Then will you do this with plain little Euphy?" Said Euphy with an innocent tone as she offered her hand to Lelouch.

"You… You are the worst enemy I've ever faced" With that Lelouch accepted her hand.

"You win"

Big Boss felt eased that everything was fine now.

"Let's figure out a better use for this special zone of yours" Said Lelouch, causing Euphy to squeal in glee.

"Oh, but I won't act as your subordinate, all right?" Asked Lelouch.

"Right! Still, you don't have much faith in me, do you?" Said Euphy with a smile. "Did you really think you could get me to shoot you just by threatening me?"

"Oh, no, that's not it. If I really order someone to do something, no one can resist it… To shoot me, to dismiss Suzaku, any order at all."

"Oh, you are just being silly now" Said playfully Euphy
"I'm serious! For example, if I told you "Kill all the Japanese" it wouldn't matter how you felt about it"

Euphy then gasped… Feeling a bit repulsed at what Lelouch said.

"Lelouch, that's a cruel prank!" Huffed Euphy.

Lelouch laughed playfully.

"Anyway, we should head back and make this special zone a good place for the Japanese" Said Lelouch as he went to grab his Zero mask.

Euphy sighed a bit exasperated at his cruel joke of having her kill the Japanese. Shen then smiled and nodded.

"Yeah!"

Just when Lelouch grabbed his mask. Euphy stopped him for a moment.

"Wait a moment, before we go back… I need to tell you something" Said Euphy.

"What is it, Euphy?"

"It's about Suzaku. I know that he has been fighting the Black Knights with his Lancelot, but… from now on, can you be more flexible with him, as Zero?"

Lelouch raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"What do you mean?"

"It's just that, Suzaku really want to do good, for both Japanese and Britannia. He went through so much. He gave up his own nationality to join Britannia, he got bullied for being Japanese, he even killed his own father to-!" Euphy stopped as she clasped her lips with her right hand.

"What?!" Said in shock Lelouch.

"Sorry! I shouldn't have said that!" Said Euphy.

"Euphy… Didn't his father commit suicide?" Asked Lelouch with a serious tone.

Euphy hung her head, ashamed that she accidentally revealed Suzaku's secret.

"He didn't. Suzaku told me that he killed his father so the Japanese could survive"

Lelouch felt a bit conflicted at this revelation. He was starting to feel guilty for the way he was treating Suzaku.

"I… I didn't know that Suzaku had done that, when he was a child" Said Lelouch in shock.

Lelouch then focused his gaze on Euphy, he put a hand on Euphy's right shoulder.

"Don't worry Euphy, I won't tell him. And I promise that I will be less hostile to him" Said Lelouch with a reassuring tone.

Euphy smiled softly.

"Thank you, Lelouch"

The last thing Big Boss heard was Lelouch putting his mask and the doors opening and the closing.

Big Boss stopped the mic and then turned to Alligator.

"What happened, Boss?"

"I… I don't know" Said Big Boss with a confused tone. Nothing happened, everything that Veg said, about Euphemia becoming irrational, never came to pass.

"Is your comm in a secure channel?" Asked Big Boss.

"No, but I can switch it, why?"

"Turn it on, I must tell to our "client" that it never happened" Replied Big Boss.

Alligator then took out his comm, changed the frequency channel and gave it to Big Boss.

Big Boss found his frequency and called him.

"Veg"

"Boss? How are you calling? I thought they took your radio" Said Veg.

"I'm using another one. Listen, Zero and Euphemia finished their conversation. Nothing happened." Informed Big Boss.

"What? That's impossible!" Whispered Veg in shock.

"Euphemia never became irrational! Zero acknowledge her and he pledge her support to the special zone, right now they are exiting the mobile base"

"No, that can't be!"

"Veg, just what the hell are you talking about?!" Asked Big Boss with a slight demanding tone.

"Euphemia was supposed to…!" Suddenly he stopped. Then Big Boss heard a gasp.

"Veg? Veg!" Called Big Boss

"You've got to be kidding me…!" Said Veg with a shocked tone.

Big Boss then heard Veg running and pushing people aside.

"Veg! What's happening?!"

"NO WAIT! DON'T-!" Shouted Veg.

*BAM!*

Big Boss then heard a gun shoot coming from the stadium. And at the same time, he could hear static from the comm.

Alligator quickly turned around and went to see what has happened, with Big Boss following him behind.

Just when the gunshot was heard. Lelouch and Euphy were already outside to hear it too.

"Huh?!" Lelouch gasped.

"What was that?!" Asked Euphy in worry.

Alligator, Big Boss, Zero and Euphy reached to the stage, they saw that Suzaku and Euphy's bodyguards were there too.

No one moved. What they all saw shocked them to the core. Euphy had her eyes widened in horror and with her hands covering her mouth.

Down on the stage, was Veg… with a hole on his head wide eyed and the ground was covered with blood.

And standing on the stage, was someone with a large sword looking handgun… The culprit was none other than…Cornelia.

"AAAAHHHHH!" A Japanese woman screamed in terror at the sudden murder.

"I thank the sub-viceroy, Euphemia li Britannia, for all the elevens reunited here. Now we can eliminate all the terrorist cells with one swipe! "Shouted Cornelia with a crazed smile.

"Princess! What's gotten into you?!" Shouted Darlton in disbelief. Cornelia slowly turned her gaze at him.

"Please, stop this, your highness! This isn't you-!" Guilford spoke in an urgent tone to Cornelia.

He suddenly stopped when she rose her handgun at Guilford's head.

"Don't question me, Guilford!" Shouted Cornelia with venom.

Guilford's eyes widened in horror and disbelief on what Cornelia said. He knew her for a very long time and to see her do this, even without telling him, is irrational.

Flashback, a few minutes ago

Guilford, Darlton, Kirihara and the guests were waiting for Euphemia's return after talking with Zero.

Until they saw someone coming to the stage from behind. It was Cornelia.

"Princess?"

"Your Highness?"

Darlton and Guilford spoke respectively at Cornelia's presence. They weren't expecting her to appear and she hadn't informed them before as she usually does.

Cornelia didn't reply. All she did was walking to the end of the stage. Her eyes focused on the Japanese people sitting in the first line. She took out her personal handgun and pointed at one of them.

"NO WAIT! DON'T!" Shouted Veg as he pushed to the Japanese.

*BAM!*

The bullet shot on Veg's forehead and his body fell on the ground, lifeless.

Guilford and Darlton were shocked to see Cornelia mercilessly killing a young man.

Kirihara stood up with a look of horror, not believing what just happened.

The guests that were sitting on the stage stood up also looking in horror.

All the Japanese trembled in fear and many started to stand up and were about to run in panic.

"Soldiers! KILL THEM ALL! KILL ALL THE ELEVENS AND ANYONE WHO OPPOSE US! THIS IS AN ORDER FOR ALL OF YOU, NOW!" Commanded Cornelia.

The Britannian soldiers complied to her orders and opened fire on the Japanese.

The Japanese people screamed and ran while the Britannians started their slaughtering.

Blood were splattered everywhere and there were now hundreds of dead Japanese.

Big Boss and Alligator were staring in shock at the massacre.

Lelouch was horrified that Cornelia was killing all the Japanese, like she did in the Saitama Ghetto.

"NOOO!" Screamed Euphy with tears.

"STOOOP!" Shouted Suzaku. He sprinted forward to stop Cornelia. He didn't care if he got demoted or sent to jail, Cornelia was ordering the Britannians to massacre the Japanese.

Cornelia saw him in time and then shoot at him.

*BAM!*

Suzaku dodge the bullet and quickly hid behind one of the chairs.

Guilford and Darlton were too paralyzed to do something in this chaos.

"Cornelia! Stop it! Stop this at once!" Shouted Euphy with tears as she ran to her.

"Euphy, be a good sister and kill your knight" Ordered Cornelia, then she walked to her.

"W-What? Why are you doing this?!" Euphy questioned while crying.

"I need to kill all the Elevens, so Britannia can remain strong and dominant. Don't worry, I can let some of these elevens alive so you can keep them and control them as your pet" Said Cornelia with a maniacal tone.

Euphy trembled at Cornelia's word, she couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Now, make your big sister proud and kill your knight and the Elevens" said Cornelia with a soft tone.

Euphy then shouted at her.

"NO! YOU CAN'T-!"

*SLAP!*

"Ah!" Euphy fell on the background with her cheek red, she looked up to see Cornelia with her right hand spread which was used to slap her. Euphy had her eyes widened and she deeply hurt that Cornelia hurt her.

Lelouch, Big Boss, Alligator, Guilford, Darlton and Suzaku were shocked to see what Cornelia did. She slapped Euphy, the only person she would never EVER hurt.

"You disappoint me, Euphemia" Said Cornelia angrily.

"Cornelia!" Lelouch roared in fury as he charged at her. He took out the needle gun and shoot her.

Cornelia hid behind a chair before the bullet could hit her.

"Your highness!" 4 Britannian Sutherland arrived to help her.

*TRARATATATATAT*

Big Boss quickly ran and tackled Lelouch, causing them to fall down the stage.

"This is Kururugi Suzaku, Knight of Honor of the Britannian Forces! Cease fire at once!" Shouted Suzaku through his comm to all the Britannian soldiers.

"Are you dumb? You know very well that this is ordered by Cornelia, the Viceroy herself" Said a Britannian soldier in one of the Gloucesters.

"But this isn't right!" Protested Suzaku.

"You are a Japanese, aren't you?" Asked the Britannian soldier, Suzaku eyes widened at the implication.

"Suzaku!"

Suddenly Ishmael appeared in his knightmare and blocked the bullets from the Gloucester.

"Ishmael?!"

"Suzaku, take Euphemia and get out of here! It's too dangerous here!" Ordered Ishmael.

"But I must stop this carnage!" Shouted Suzaku.

"I'll handle this! Your priority as Euphemia's Knight is to protect her!" Ishmael countered it with a strict tone.

"What about Cornelia?!" Asked Suzaku. He looked around and there was no sign of her.

"I'll take care of Cornelia, something is wrong here and I'm going to find out what it is. You must leave with Euphemia at once, NOW!" Alligator yelled at Suzaku.
Suzaku clenched his teeth in frustration and ran to Euphy.

"Hold it!" Shouted the Gloucester, but Ishmael shot him down.

Big Boss and Zero ran through the stadium to find a way to go back to the Gawain.

Lelouch stopped for a moment to contemplate the chaos.

"This…This can't be happening!" Muttered Lelouch still in disbelief.

"Zero, this is no time to watch!" Inquired Big Boss, he feels horrible at the massacre, but they need to escape and survive.

Suddenly a hand grabbed Zero's cap, it was an old dying Japanese woman.

"Z-Zero…Help us…Japan's…Savior…You are…You are our…Only hope" The Japanese woman died with her last words.

Lelouch gritted his teeth in anger.

Back with Suzaku, he managed to get to the stage where Euphy was.

"Euphy! We must leave!"

"I-I can't" Euphy said while sobbing and with a broken tone.

"Euphy, please!" Pleaded Suzaku.

Euphy trembled, but luckily, she was conscious enough to cooperate.

Suzaku quickly carried her in bridal style and ran to get his Lancelot.

"What? What is happening in the stadium?!" Asked Kallen with a worried tone.

"We're figuring that out!" Replied Tamaki.

Ocelot eye's hardened. He was right, something bad happened after all.

From the outside, the broadcast was cut off a second after Cornelia gave the first shot thanks to the ones in charge of media. But slowly, the news was showing images of the massacre, which is interfered thanks to Diethard and Rakshata.

"They'll cut the broadcast soon. Let's upload the data to the net" Spoke Diethard to the staff members who are coordinating the hacking.

"You heard him!" Said Rakshata

"Sir, C.C has made contact with the supreme commander!" informed a Black Knight member.

"Good! That's the last problem cleared!" Said Diethard with a pleasing tone.

"I don't know how you arranged this situation, but this scheme is beyond what we planned, Zero!" Thought Diethard with praise.

Back with the Gawain, now flying on the air, Lelouch sat down and withdrew his mask in frustration.

"I'm shocked. I didn't think you'd go this far" Said C.C in surprise.

"It wasn't me"

"What?" C.C turned her head to him.

"I didn't use my Geass. It was Cornelia. She killed everyone in the stadium, just like in Saitama Ghetto!" Said Lelouch in anger.

C.C blinked. She would have to discuss about this later.

"Hey, where's Big Boss?" Asked C.C

"We split up, Big Boss told me that he would go and take down Cornelia" informed Lelouch.

"I see" Then C.C saw on her radar Britannian Knightmares getting out from the stadium.

"Hey! The Britannian forces have left the stadium!"

Lelouch looked at it, still feeling frustrated at the massacre.

"Our only option now is…" Lelouch then saw in front of the Gawain, Britannian aircrafts.

"Attention, Zero! Return that unit! That machine is the property of our military…!"

Lelouch clenched his teeth and pushed the lever of the Gawain.

The Britannian military who was speaking never finished, as they were all blasted away by the beams of the Gawain.

"Black Knights! It was a set up! The specially administrated zone of Nippon was a cowardly trap set up by Cornelia, the mastermind behind it! Euphemia was just a mere puppet this whole time!"

The Black Knights reaction were as expected, Kallen, Ohgi, Tamaki were shocked to hear that. Tohdoh's expression hardened and he and the 4 holy swords prepared for the battle.

Ocelot and the MSF soldiers heard it too. Ocelot frowned at it, but put it aside to assist the fight, while the MSF soldiers, though battle hardened veterans, they still felt shocked at what Zero said.

Big Boss got all his equipment and weapons back, and was seen running through the halls of the stadium, to the exit looking for Cornelia.

Big Boss exited the halls and was now outside of the stadium. In front of him, was chaos everywhere. Japanese civilians running and screaming in terror and Britannians murdering them in cold blood.

"Find Cornelia…And KILL HER!" Ordered Lelouch furiously.

Yeah. Instead of Euphemia causing the massacre, it was Cornelia who did it. And from here, there will be a lot of chaos, lies, misdirection, misunderstanding and misjudging which will result mistakes, suffering, and more chaos. Expect the mess that will happen to our beloved characters.
