Nothing, he remembered absolutely nothing after he had taken those pills. That in itself was a terrifying and unnerving thought, he only remembered getting up in the morning, taking two of those pills because the ones from before seemed to do nothing. Then the next thing he knew he was home again lying on his bed, another prescription bottle and note from Strex corp. lying next to him. He knew he had felt this warm happy sensation while he had been on whatever the corporation had given him and he had finally caved in and taken. The thing was though that coming down off of whatever high that was gave him the sharpest cruelest pain in his skull he'd ever known. It beat every hang over and every time the Glow Cloud decided to make a puppet out of him. Something in his head told him that if he took two or three more of those stupid little pills that it would make the searing pain in his head go away, but the black out scared him. Instead Cecil got out of bed, showered, dressed, and made himself breakfast. He couldn't help, but try and remember yesterday and whatever had happened, what he had missed. Knocking on the door interrupted his worried thoughts, he checked through the peep hole, saw it was Carlos and opened the door up for the other man.

"What are you doing here, I mean I'm happy to see you. Just didn't think I'd see you." He rambled nervously, he scratched at the back of his head.

Carlos smiled awkwardly, he entered the apartment and sat down on the couch; Cecil joined him.

"I just felt really bad, I feel like I've been ignoring you lately. I feel like sort of an asshole about that. I'm really sorry Cecil."

Cecil was too sore and confused about the pills to be annoyed at him and he was really happy to have him here. He was worried about not remembering yesterday or if he'd even left his apartment, he thought to ask but he felt that Carlos again hadn't listened to his show.

"It's okay, really I understand; you have a lot of science stuff to do."

He understood, but at the same time he still didn't understand why all of a sudden his boyfriend put less effort into seeing him or even answering his text messages.

"You sure?"

Carlos seemed hopeful and more relaxed knowing Cecil wasn't mad at him, the brown haired man placed a hand over his.

"Positive, I get it."

He winced at another sharp pain through his skull, Carlos looked at him concerned.

"You okay?"

"Just a migraine, not a big deal."

Part of him wanted to ask Carlos about it, show him the bottle of pills, and admit yes he was stupid enough to take pills supplied by an obviously corrupt business who was holding his home town at gun point.

Instead he feigned a smile for his boyfriend, another sharp sting of pain going through his skull.

"Have you taken anything for it?"

"Yeah I did, this morning; it's not as bad as it was when I woke up."

Carlos' phone began ringing, he was quick to grab it out of the pocket of his jeans; he gave the other man an apologetic look before answering.

"Really? Yeah I'll be there, just give me a minute"

The younger man got up and went to the front door pausing long enough to look back at his boyfriend, he started to ramble out an apology and an explanation about something at the lab and how exciting it was and what it could change in the town, Cecil cut him off.

"It's fine, you don't have to; I'll just talk to you whenever."

The black haired man seemed to either not notice or not pay attention to the saddened look Cecil held in his black eyes. He felt bad for running out on him, especially considering just how little time they had spent together lately. He really had to get back to the lab though, he made a mental note to himself that he'd make it up to him.

Alone again Cecil tried to distract himself with TV until it went black then turned to a glowing purple accompanied by a loud screeching sound mixed with grinding metal. He shut it off and went back to his bedroom, the new bottle of pills still sat on his bed. He knew that he shouldn't, but the pain in his head was getting worse and he couldn't stop thinking about how his boyfriend was putting his work first more and more.

"This is a really bad idea" He muttered to himself, he grabbed the bottle off the bed and removed two of the pills.

It wasn't like he had anything to do for the day.
