Sick Bloom!

While all this was happening back at Alfea things were going…okay for the cure retrieval group. They made it to Linphea no problems and from there they had no clue where to begin…until DuFour decided to talk to an old friend of hers…namely…the queen of Linphea herself. Needless to say the students were shocked to learn their kindest teacher was a centuries old vampire who had lived on every planet and watched the rise and fall of many kingdoms and taught many monarchs.

Poor Flora was very nearly overwhelmed when her Queen took a direct interest in her for not only being a native to the planet, but also because Flora's powers over nature rivaled that of the royal families. Princess Krystal was very angry about the fact that 'some random peasant girl' as she called Flora had stronger magic than she did. When Stella jumped up in her friends defense the other girls were surprised and startled at this.

"Stella why are you suddenly so protective and defensive of us? You're usually only this way with…with Bloom." Musa asked hesitating slightly as she mentioned their sick friend while everyone stared at the blond princess who was glaring darkly at a surprised and slightly worried Krystal.

"I couldn't protect Bloom from those three witches, that's why we're on this mission to save her life to begin with. And I know good and well that Bloom would be even angrier than I am with Princess Krystal for her attitude and words about someone we both deem as a friend. Right now you'd better be glad that Bloom is the one who's sick instead of me otherwise she'd kick your behind without magic for the way you're treating our friend and her roommate!" Stella said saying this last bit straight at Krystal who looked surprised before sneering haughtily.

"And why should I be scared of some peasant girl's friend?" Krystal demanded crossing her arms over her chest arrogantly.

"She managed to use a common stick to hit a gremlin clear across a twenty foot clearing without magic, then without knowing what she was doing she erected a magical barrier to protect herself from more Gremlins, and since unlocking her magic she only grew stronger. She faced down and held her own with three senior witches who had no qualms freezing her solid, for over two minutes before they managed to freeze her and even then the ice was beginning to melt by the time we even got there due to her strong fire magic. And she's a year younger than us to boot, yet she's strong enough to get into Alfea early and not only pass her classes but pass them with the second highest marks of our year. Not only that but as we've learned she's also the Keeper of the Dragon Fire and the Princess of Sparx where I believe Linphea not only had close political and allegiance ties but the Linphea royal family started out as the maids and butlers and bodyguards to the Sparx royal family! So yes you better be scared of Bloom because if she wasn't sick and she was here in my place there is not a doubt in my mind that she'd not only beat you black and blue without magic just to teach you manners but she'd also beat you with magic for insulting her one of her friends!" Stella yelled at Krystal causing everyone in hearing range that didn't know about Bloom to jaw drop in shock…it was actually quite amusing for those that did know about her.

"Yes it is true that our family started out as the maids, butlers, and bodyguards to the Sparx royal family until they helped us set up our own kingdom here on Linphea but I was not aware that it was such common knowledge." Queen Delia said nodding towards the blond who blushed slightly.

"Forgive me if I was out of line Queen Delia and you are correct that it is not common knowledge. The Solarian Royal family, and indeed the entire Solarian kingdom, was started up much in the same way as your own, albeit earlier, which is how I knew. I was two years old when Sparx's second princess, my friend Bloom, was born and had gone there with my parents to celebrate her birth. Given Princess Krystal's age she was either a newborn herself, or perhaps not even born yet, at the time which is how she doesn't know about it. I am unsure how it is nowadays within your kingdom ma'am but my mother was a bodyguard and great friend to Queen Miriam of Sparx and I was slated to become Princess Bloom's bodyguard, friend, and tutor in magic and politics since the day Queen Miriam's pregnancy was announced. I was unable to become Crown Princess Daphne's bodyguard due to how much older she is than I. In fact she was married before her sister was born which was why I was assigned as Bloom's bodyguard instead of Princess Daphne's." Stella said her stance and voice formal even as she glared down Krystal.

"Nice to know all those manners and etiquette lessons I gave you as a child actually sunk in." DuFour said dryly as she looked at Stella who broke poise to give her a sheepish grin while Queen Delia laughed loudly at this.

"Ah another of your etiquette students! Been a few years since I've met someone else who had her as a manners teacher before Alfea. Did she use the old bonbon and broomstick method?" Queen Delia asked grinning at Stella who nodded and rubbed her head.

"Yes she did. I can still feel her swats upside the head! And she hasn't even been my tutor in the past ten years!" Stella said causing Queen Delia to massage her own head lightly.

"She used that method on me as well. It's been well over twenty years since she was my tutor and I can still feel her swats." Queen Delia said with a grimace as she looked at DuFour.

"Why fix it when it is not broken? If the method still remains effective then why change it? Besides if I recall correctly I had permission from both of your parents to use that method and you can be glad that I didn't have to use the method I had with Queen Delia's grandfather. Thought he could try and threaten me for being a female in charge of him…" DuFour said with a smirk at the end.

"Yes I heard from father that you broke my grandfathers arm in three places as well as two of his ribs for daring to threaten and attack you." Delia said causing everyone to stare at DuFour in disbelief as she smirked wider. DuFour's next remarks were said as calm as you please although the smug smirk on her face didn't diminish as everyone gaped at her.

"Actually the broken arm came from when he tried to cop a feel on me. The ribs happened when he attacked me and don't worry. I held back."
