In the ring, flowers were blooming all over. Oh wait, my bad. Those were just explosions, The culprit of said explosions, Yang, was throwing around her fists with a speed that one could say was shaming to a certain anime weremonkey. And everywhere her fist aimed, yet another small explosion came about, the stage swiftly becoming wrecked by her unrestrained display of force. And yet the reason for this display, Ruby, was just casually dodging the fireballs with impunity. Not a single one of Yang's shells came close to her sister, and the crowd could see it was hopeless to engage Ruby at a distance. Especially with how well she was set up. For ever round she dodged, she gave the same number back to Yang. And with her skill in marksmanship, even with the insane speeds she was pulling Ruby did not miss a single shot. Bit by bit, Yang's Aura was dropping.

"Damn! It! Ruby! Stand! still!" With every word, Yang threw more and more shots out, each missing their target like the last. While the old saying may go something like 'even with a crappy gun, shoot enough and you're bound to hit something', that obviously wasn't thought of with Ruby in mind. Then again, considering she was a child who could move faster than sound it came as no surprise. "Why! Do! You! Keep! On! Dodging?!"

"My dearest sister Yang. It's not that I'm too fast or that I'm dodging you," Ruby said, as she again disappeared. Before Yang could react, she felt something at her waist. Looking down, Ruby was pinching her sides, grabbing slight bits of flab in between her fingers and giving them a shake. "It's just that you've slowed down. I just think you've gotten fatter. Have you considered a diet?" Ruby said, her voice and face so serious that everyone in the arena froze. Not a single person dared to take a breath.

"Wh- what did you just say?" It was evident from her tone that Yang was probably trying her hardest to not go nuclear at the moment. Too bad for the audience, and the stage, that Ruby seemed to have no intention to back down. Apparently the fear that was choking everyone in the place up did not seem to apply to her.

"What? Didn't hear me? I said you're getting fat. F-A-T. Fat. It means to gain a larger amount of body mass that isn't muscle or otherwise. I can also say 'chubby' if that works better? Maybe 'flabby'?" Yup, it was official by the crowd's standards. Ruby was suicidal. "I wonder... Hey Yang, if we combine your blond hair with your flabby stomach would you look like an actual sun? Hey, then we'd have two "Sun's" among our friends! Wouldn't that be funny?"

"Oh shit." Even Blake was starting to regret letting Ruby do this. As it were, one could see Yang twitching violently, her facial muscles attempting to not warp into an oni mask at this point. And one could see her trembling, attempting not to try and break her sister's jaw, which was conveniently located about ten or so inches from Yang's own fist. "R-Ruby...? Just what is she doing?"

". . ."

"What's wrong sis? All that flab blocked up your throat? Come on, speak up! The crowd wants a show! Right folks?"

In response, the crowd more or less all gave Ruby the exact same look at once; one that, for a lack of a better or more tactful way to put it, basically said "Don't you dare involve us you friggen psychopath!"

"R-Ruby? You can't honestly mean all of that you just said to me, your older sister, right? Y-you're just kidding, right? You'd better be..."

"No, I meant it all. See? Jiggly like strawberry jell-o~"

"DIE!"

Faster than most people thought possible, Yang whirled around and threw a fist as Ruby where she stood. Correction, 'where she once stood'. However, while Ruby can move, the stage wasn't quite as fortunate. Where Yang's fist hit, a crater formed, and began to radiate out. And out. Eventually consuming the entire stage. And, well, everything. In a panic the spectators began to flee, the stands beginning to crumble away much like the floor beneath. Yeah, that floor was pretty much screwed, as well as just about everything within the arena itself. And the human firecracker that caused it all showed no intention of cooling off, pun unintentional. Glowing like a coal, Yang was showing less emotion than one thought she would. Or rather, it's probably more accurate to say that she was so pissed that she was having difficulty actually being angry. Either way, the color spectrum was crying right now from Yang distorting it so much, and Ruby was just nonchalantly spinning in place. All like it was a game.

"So Ruby, are you prepared to die? You are prepared, right?"

"Hmm? Did you say something Yang? Sorry, I was a bit busy."

"I hope you were writing a will. You may be my baby sister, and I love you more than anything, but you just played hopscotch with a line you should never have gone near. Prepare to die."

"Hmm? No, it wasn't really a will or anything. I was just messaging dad. I told him about your weight problem, and he sent me a few recipes for you to try. Isn't he the best dad ever?"

Had Ruby been a millionth of a second later, her head might have just been blown off of her shoulders. As it were, Yang's fist passed right by, and proceeded to blow apart the stands. Ruby meanwhile, smile plastered over her face, just stared at Yang. Silver meeting crimson. Childish innocence meeting pure fury.

"You're going to wish it was that fist that had hit you."

"That is if you'd have managed to actually hit me."

"Jaune, your girlfriend is seriously trying to die right now." Blke could not hold back her honest feelings. The current Ruby was going further than they'd planned, and all Blake could think was that she was playing with fire while wearing gasoline soaked paper clothes.

"Ruby seems awfully out of character today. Why is she being so vicious with Yang?"

"It's a long story. For now, hand me Yang's bag." Jaune, having made a face as though to say 'oh right' passed Yang's bag along to Blake, who promptly reached in and grabbed her Scroll out. After spending a few seconds going through the security screen (the password was 'Ruby', go figure), she began to rifle through the files. What she was looking for, Jaune could not for the life of him figure out. But rather, he was more worried about Yang finding out. After all, if she found out and was still this pissed, then he was likely to not see his next birthday. But, that was for later. For now, his primary concern was Ruby, and whether or not she would live to see the next day.

"Is it me Yang, or are you getting slower? Yup, definitely."

"Shut it."

"Gravity's a harsh mistress, ain't she?"

"Shut up!"

"Perhaps if you were to lighten your load a bit, you might actually come closer than just waving air into my face."

"I SAID SHUT THE HELL UP RUBY ROSE!"

By this point, the students had all but evacuated within a two-hundred yard radius of what remained of the arena. Probably a good idea, considering Yang was still turning the place into the closest thing to no-man's-land these students would be seeing in their lifetimes. Maybe. But let's not go there. For now, the current situation was much like a rather bad stalemate. Yang got more powerful as Ruby attacked her, and as her anger grows. Doing anything else at this point would be crossing into the territory of literally adding oil to a fire. Or probably napalm at this point? Regardless, Yang was too pissed to feel pain, and Ruby was nowhere near durable enough to survive a punch from Yang. It was not a situation one wanted to be a part of at this point. Especially the four current souls, two of which more or less were reluctant to be, still in the same vicinity as Yang. The other two... were the cause of the destruction.

After what seemed like an eternity of Yang throwing punches with enough force to de-brain a Goliath, Blake had finally found what it is she was looking for.

"Ruby, catch!" And she tossed the Scroll to Ruby, who somehow managed to catch it despite not stopping for a millisecond while the blows rained around her in a torrent of fire and fists.

"Ohh. Nice find Blakey. Note to self: Owe Blake a nice tuna later." Of course, Ruby was assuming she would have a "later". Then again, with her speed such a thing was practically guaranteed. "Hey Yang~"

"Oh look. The dead learned to speak!"

"Yup. Though there are some concepts I have trouble putting into words. Like say... this?" Ruby said, holding out the Scroll with a certain picture popped up onto the screen. And when Yang saw it, she froze. Yup, for once hell has frozen over. Eat your heart out parents, you ow your kid that new pony!

"H-how did you find this?"

"Hmm? What exactly is it? I'm kinda having trouble understanding what's going on here? Why are there these things in your bra?"

"R-Ruby-"

"Oh wait, are those pads? So that's not your natural size?"

"P-please Ruby."

"That might explain why you could take so many shots and still be standing. How interesting. Maybe it's some sort of armor? Though why you would need before and after photo's for that is beyond me."

"P-please Ruby, let's be reasonable here. Now come on, hand over the Scroll..."

"Aww, but why? Don't you think people would find this interesting though? To find out my older sister pads her bras to look a size or two bigger? No wonder all of the guys are always staring at you. It would be a crushing blow to them if they found this out, now wouldn't it?"

"...ant?"

"Hmm? Could you speak up? I can barely hear myself over this laughter."

"What is it that you want?"

"That? It's simple, really. All I want is for you to never bother me and Jaune again. Oh, don't get me wrong here Yang. I love you to death, and I always will. But Jaune is important to me. And when you mess with him, I also get angry. He's mine, got it?"

"I get it. I give up Ruby."

"Good," Ruby said, the chipper tone coming back to her voice. "Now that we've reached an understanding, here you go. I'm going out with Jaune and enjoying my day. As for the rest..." Ruby said, giving a quick glance to the side before continuing. "Good luck." With a nervous chuckle, Ruby disappeared from the area in a flurry of rose petals. And wouldn't you know it? A few seconds later, a certain instructor just happens to show up...

"Miss Xiao Long! What is going on here?!"

"Urk! H-hello there Miss Goodwitch. How's your day?" All that answered her was a glare piercing enough to cut a diamond apart. "Oh..."

"'Oh' indeed. My office. Now."

"Yes."

"Oh boy, that was close. I'm probably gonna catch flak for that at school tomorrow, huh?"

"I wouldn't doubt it," Jaune said, amazement plain on his face. "Just what were you thinking? Yang was so pissed she was breaking the color spectrum! What would you have done if she'd hit you?"

"Pssh, yeah right. Nobody could hit me!"

"Ruby, I'm serious here! If she'd managed somehow, she could have killed you. Why weren't you worried?"

"Why? Because I wanted to try and spend some time with my boyfriend on the most romantic holiday of the year! That's why! And I wanted to pay Yang back for taking you. I did nothing wrong."

"But Ruby..."

"Jaune! She tried taking you for today to satisfy her own meanness! You're my boyfriend. I love you, and I didn't want to spend the day wondering what we could've done. I wanted to spend it with you, enjoying the day as much as possible."

"Wait, so you were just jealous?"

"Isn't it obvious?!"

"I see. I'm sorry then Ruby." Jaune said, grabbing Ruby and putting her into a hug. "I should never have listened to her. How about we got to your favorite place for dinner? I hear they have a special 'couples only' cake available today, and it's got strawberries."

"Fine," Ruby acquiesced, beginning to blush a bit from having just admitted to Jaune how she'd been feeling. "I also want to go to a movie too. And the night party being held in the evening over at St. Oum Park."

"Okay, okay. I got it. Let's go then Ruby."

"Yup, let's." And this is where Ruby belonged today. Here, with Jaune. And it just felt so right.

"You know, 'all's well that ends well', right? And yet I don't even have a date. Damnit!" Of course Blake was curing her fate, stuck in the room lounging around, reading a rather... interesting book. But she actually wished to be enjoying the festivities too. Why was nobody interested in asking her though? As this thought went through her head, she heard a few taps from the window. Looking over, she saw a blonde man hanging out of a tree. Oh right, Sun.

"How's it going?"

"The usual. Just reading to pass the time."

"Boring! How about we go enjoy some of the fun. You need a date to do so, right? And I may or may not just happen to be available..."

"Hmm, sure. Why not?" The day may turn out fun for Blake in the end.

But those? They're stories for another time.

*A/N*

Yeah, Dravyn here. Sorry for the long delay. A lot of things got in the way... suffice to say, things ain't been easy for writing this stuff. But as I finally (yes, I know it seems strange that it took me this long, but boat WiFi people! seriously!) watched Volume 3, I suddenly wanted to begin writing this again. And surprisingly I found some inspiration. So I managed a chapter. Yay.

As it were, I'm trying to start writing more again, and with a little downtime and some Monster, I managed to get this written. Sure, it's a short chapter (my bad there), but I'm working on making longer ones. Patience please.

Anyhow, you know the drill.

Dravyn out!
