Just a filler chapter, I couldn't think of much to write. Also I'm going to try to update this once a month, as that will give me time to make sure it isn't too bad and there's some room for procrastination. So hopefully the next chapter will be up at the beginning of next month.

Anyway, enjoy!

A few seconds after she hooted a woman landed in front of Kim. She had dark blond hair with a brown hat on it that looked like an owl and wore a blue top with brown trousers, which caused quite a bit of staring from the two teenagers, as they had never seen a girl wearing trousers before. Even odder than this was the giant pair of brown wings that sprouted from her back. They had no idea what to make of this strange woman.

"Hello? Did you call me?" She asked, looking at them curiously. She then looked around them and her expression turned worried. "Where's Rabbit?"

"He was taken by some guys in suits."

"What!" She looked down, anger and sadness on her face. After a few seconds she composed herself and looked up at them. "What do you need? Why did you call me?"

"Well, Rabbit said that you could take us to someone called 'Caterpillar'?"

"I can do that. Follow me," She walked towards a path heading into the forest. Kim and Toby quickly hurried after. After a few moments the Owl started talking again, "So who are you? I don't believe I've seen you around Wonderland before. And what do you want with Caterpillar?"

"My name is Kim and this is my friend Toby. We come from somewhere else," She hesitated, not exactly sure what to say, "We came from a rabbit hole in our world which lead to a tree in yours."

"Ah, I understand. Rabbit was in charge of guarding the tree you're talking about, though why they didn't just ask the Sapling Prince is beyond me." The last part was muttered under her breath. Kim continued talking.

"We need to talk to the Caterpillar because Rabbit said he could help me get my father back. You see, he was arrested by the King and-"

Hannah cut her off, looking worried, "Wait, what's your father's name?"

"His name is Nilesy. Why, did you know him?"

The Owl looked troubled. She looked Kim over before turning to continue down the path. Kim and Toby followed after her, confused. They saw an owl land on her arm which she spoke to softly before it flew off. When they caught up to her she smiled at them, though it looked rather forced. Kim decided to use this opportunity to gather a bit more information on the situation she found herself in.

"So can you tell us a bit about Wonderland? I mean, me and Toby don't know much about this place." The Owl hesitated for a moment before responding.

"What do you want to know about?"

"Well, what it's like to live here, what the people are like, stuff like that. Mostly I would like to know about what exactly is going on, why my father got arrested and how the Caterpillar can help. That is, if you are able to answer."

"I'll start off with the easier questions. Life here is normal, I suppose. I mean, it may not be normal to you but I don't have anything to compare it to. The people here are rather friendly, most of them at least. The Hatter is rather mad, so not many people talk to him, and the Cheshire Cat is rather difficult. When talking to him you never know whether to feel afraid or…" she trailed off, searching for the right word. After a while she shrugged and moved on, "Rabbit was a good man. He was one of the old King's most trusted men and commander of his troops. That all went to pot after the war, but that's not very important any more. It happened a long time ago.

"As for the other questions I have very few answers. The Red King, the King who holds the throne at the moment, only came to power recently. Not much is really known about him except that he is the old King's son and an extremely nasty piece of work. Your father's arrest I wasn't there for, so I can't really say much about that," She looked away and Kim got the feeling she knew more than she was letting on. The Owl spoke quickly, as if she were afraid, and refused to meet their eyes. Kim said nothing, however, and listened to the older woman talk, interested in learning all she could of this strange new place.

"The Caterpillar is a great mage; if you can actually convince him to help you he will be able to do a great many things to help you. Though it is extremely hard to convince him to do anything, he has only ever liked one person and she has been missing for years. He respects Rabbit, though, and if he were with you he would have helped. As it is you'd be lucky to get even one word out of him. But who knows, he might actually decide to help." The Owl turned to her, "Does that answer your questions?"

"It answers most of them. Thank you for telling me all of this." She smiled up at the blonde and was rewarded with a smile from the winged woman. They continued down the path and deeper into the forest.
