Those lips, which loves own hands did make, breathed forth the sound that said 'I hate'-William Shakespeare
Disclaimer: I own nothing. Hello and let the sad tale begin.
-Kagome lightly sang to her self as she approached the well, adjusting the strap of her backpack. It had been two years since she started going down the well and she was eighteen now. But she knew the final battle was approaching at last, she could feel it. She hoped into the well, ignoring the strange feeling that always came with tumbling through time, When she was crawled out of the well and into the forest, she heard a strange sound. Curious, she went to investigate. What she found shocked her. Inuyasha and Kikyo were lying on the ground, bare of clothes in a very...intimate…embrace. She stifled a sob as her heart broke. Tears pouring down her face, she ran back to the village.
"Why Inuyasha!" She cried.
By the time she made it to the village, she found a war zone. It seemed the battle had been happening without her. Corpses lay scattered at her feet and massive demons tore apart anything left living. Panic gripped her as she searched the ruins of the village for her friends.
The first one she saw or more accurately smelled was Old Lady Kaede, who was burnt so badly she hardly recognized her. Next was a giant hole in the ground, as if the earth itself had been sucked in. She knew that that couldn't be anything but the final act of Miroku. And then she found Shippo and Kirara. The fox kit lay over the demon cat protectively. It seemed that he had futiely tried to protect her, not knowing it had already been too late. And it had cost him his life.
She finally managed to find her remaining friend, Sango. Her legs felt numb as she watched the demon hunter battle Kagura. With a scream of rage, Sango charged the wind witch. Their weapons clashed, causing a massive back lash of energy. When it had cleared, Sango was dead. But in her death, she had taken Kagura with her.
A little further off, Kikyo and Inuyasha had arrived only to be swarmed by demons. Kikyo never saw it coming as her clay body was torn apart from behind. The moment the remains of her hit the ground, Inuyasha went insane. His eyes went red as he charged wildly into the fray.
Kagome felt broken inside. She fled, running until she collapsed. Night found her staring blankly up at the full moon. The moon itself looked almost red.
She didn't even react as a vision of Midoriko appeared before her."My child, I can not bare to see one so pure so broke..." She murmured.
Kagome finally reacted.
"And what are you going to do about it?! WHAT CAN YOU DO!? " She shrieked, tears the tears she thought she'd run out of still pouring down her face.
"If you wish it of me, I will cleanse you once more so you shall have no more pain or fear." Was the soft reply.
