The winter storm of my brother's heart

A/N: Okay, it took a few months but now we are at the last update of this story. It's a little sad, this was fun to write, but I'll come up with something new very soon. And I hope you like the epilogue and will read the story I will write after this. And as a little gift from me I will tell you the plot now. 'After being mutated again, Rahzar is looking for a new way to turn back to a human, and while on a mission he overhears the turtles talking about Donnie's progress on a retromutagen, and now has a new target.

Epilogue

(Donnie's P.O.V)

July 23th 2014.

A lot have changed in only a few days. I'm not alone in my room or lab anymore. My brothers, April and Master Splinter all know about my secret, and they are cool with that. And that's really something, since I covered in the city and almost the entire country in snow. And what's even more incredible is that even though I pushed them away and treated them like dirt, they still came after me and tried to help me. I guess I happen to have the best family anyone could ever ask for. Even when I wasn't there for them, they were still there for me when I really needed them. And I guess I needed them more than I would ever want to admit, and they need me just as much. So from now on I'll never shut them out or try to ignore them. And I never want my fears or my colder sides to get a grip like that on me ever again. I never knew or could ever guess that fear could be so strong, but now when I know I will do everything I can to be brave and I'm never going to run away like a coward again.

You know, a month ago I wanted to get rid of this storm inside of me and live a normal life again, or at least as normal as mutant ninja turtles life can be, but now I don't really mind having this new power. I don't see it as a curse anymore, I see it as something that can make me grow and become a better ninja or at least a better fighter, and who knows, it could turn out to be a gift. Something that I should be proud of having that no one else has. And even if it didn't start out to well, at least me and my brothers have grown even closer as a team and more importantly, grown closer as brothers. And Alex have found a good place to live here and is pretty happy. Everyone is happy now and I have finally let go of my fear and learned to control my powers, better at least. And I bet I can learn more from them too.

"Hey Donnie! What are you doing in here, we were supposed to have a snowball fight, remember? Everyone's waiting for you!" Mikey stood in the door to my lab and I looked up from the journal I was writing in. Yeah, last night I had promised to create snow in the lair again so we could play in the snow and have a snowball fight and Leo had invited April too, so it would be a good time. I nodded and closed the journal and put away the pen. My eyes fell on the gloves on my desk and remembered why I had worn them. 'Conceal, don't feel. Don't let it show.' I snorted and picked them up, and then threw them into the garbage can beside the desk. No more concealing my powers, or my true self either. From now on I lived after a new creed, 'Never be afraid of who you are and don't be afraid to let your gifts shine through.'

Mikey walked up to me and grabbed my hand and ran out of the lab, dragging me behind him, both of us laughing all the way. In the living room the others were waiting and there were jackets on the couch, just in case it got too cold for them. For me it wouldn't matter, since I've never really been bothered by the cold and the new mutagen in my blood helped a lot too. A little bonus with my powers.

"Come on, Donnie! Do that magic!" Mikey let go of me in the middle of the of the living room and jumped up and down in excitement. I couldn't help but laugh at him, but looked at the others to see if they were ready.

"Are you guys ready?" They nodded and Mikey practically jumped onto my back and wanted me to 'do the magic' right now. I chuckled and started to make gestures with my hands and the others watched in amazement as the little ball of energy was formed into a glowing snowball. They had had never never really seen the beauty in making the snow since the incidents had been caused on accidents, so I understood their amazement. I threw the snow up into the roof and let it explode and snow began to fall over the lair. April let her hands catch the snowflakes and saw them melt on her palms.

"This is amazing." She said in awe. Leo and Raph also looked pretty amazed, but Mikey ran around like a little child and laughed in glee. I giggled a little at him and put a hand on his shoulder to make him stop running around.

"Watch this." I stomped on the floor and ice grew all over the floor and the others had to hold onto to the couch or to each other so they wouldn't slip. The snow stopped fall after a few minutes and the floor was covered in snow so we could start to play. Raph and Leo started to throw snowballs at each other and April and Mikey started to build a snowman. I felt as though my feet had frozen to the ground and stayed were I was and looked around. I looked around in the lair and saw that everyone was having a good time with my powers. Leo and Raph had now expanded their snowball fight and were now fighting against April and Mikey, in which they looked like Mikey and April were losing. I laughed softly and sat down on the cold couch. This was much better than hiding in isolation and fear all day. Infact, I had never felt better. Not in a very long time.

I snapped out of my thoughts as I felt a snowball hit me on the side of my head. I heard the others laugh. Except Mikey, he was chocking on his laughter. I guess he was the one who threw the snowball.

"Get your head in the game, bro! Or you'll be eliminated by the Snow Master!" Mikey managed to spit out of his mouth. I at first was a little shocked from the hit, but after it wore of let the snow swirl in my hands and created a giant snowball. Mikey still didn't notice and kept on laughing, but his laugh attack was soon interrupted by coughing as he got hit with that giant snowball. The others looked in shock at him as he was wet and covered in snow. I laughed and dusted of my hands.

"Who did you say was the Snow Master, Mikey?" The other started to laugh to and even Mikey started to laugh too. I smiled smugly and made a new snowball even bigger and started to chase the others around the lair with that big snowball and managed to hit Leo this time. And now we all ran around trying to hit each other with snow, and didn't even bother trying to form it into balls. Yep, this was better by far than being alone in my room. What no one of us saw was that Splinter stood in the door to the dojo and watched us play around the lair with a smile on his face and a small, soft laugh escaped him.

A/N: And, that's the ending of this story. Sad, but thank you so much for the reviews, and I want to give a special thanks to Crimson-Eyes26 who made both a drawing based on the story and have started to make a comic. Thanks to everyone and keep your eyes open for new stories!
