With all of that said, enjoy :)
Emma was the one to break the kiss, pulling back to clear her throat all the while looking everywhere else that wasn't beautiful brown eyes. Confused by the sudden loss of contact, Regina peered up at Emma's slightly embarrassed face. Or was it shame?
Shame of daring to kiss the Evil Queen?
Regina slowly took in a deep breath and nodded to herself. Of course nothing in her life could just be. She knew what was coming next. Rejection. And she internally cursed herself for ever thinking it, what Emma and she shared last night, could ever be real.
Lost in her own thoughts, Emma failed to notice the shift in the brunette that she was still holding tenderly by the waist.
"So... that's what I did last night."
Emma instinctively flexed her fingers, her digits tightening and releasing deliciously on the mayor's waist. Regina gasped at the feeling then immediately flung the blonde's hands from her person and began straightening her clothing.
"Yes, Ms. Swan. No burning buildings or dead bodies. Just one molested Mayor."
Emma's attention snapped to as she raised her eyebrows in shock at the offending statement.
"Come on, Regina. You know it wasn't like that. It was just a kiss an-"
"Just a kiss? You thoroughly violated me or have you not yet gained the memory of discarded clothing and wandering hands?"
The Sheriff's eyes flashed and she quickly closed the gap between the other woman and herself, speaking lowly and surely.
"No, I remember. But what I don't remember are any protests during said ... violation."
Regina took a sharp breath in but immediately expelled it. But it was too late because, just like last night, she was becoming intoxicated.
Intoxicated with the blonde's closeness.
Her smell.
The rise and fall of her chest.
Her predatory gaze.
Regina felt herself heating against her will, but instead of succumbing like last night, she ignored her own wants and pushed through her quickly fogging mind and reached for the quickest defenses she had, anger and the ability to make others suffer with her.
"Yet, I don't actually remember agreeing either. Tell me Sheriff, did you just pick up on clues? Imagining their existence then thoroughly acting on them? Telling yourself that your prey was willing? What's the defense that many have used again? 'It was clear she wanted it' or something along those lines?"
Emma shook her head, knowing what Regina was trying to do but helpless to stop it. The blonde took a step back but that only made the brunette follow.
"Stop, Regina. Just stop."
"What? You don't like hearing the truth? You don't like hearing the consequences of your actions?"
"I wasn't-, I didn't do that and you know it! I wasn't even thinking! I don't-, I was just-"
At this point, Emma was backed against the window, wanting nothing more than to just run and hide but Regina was relentless. Once Emma's back hit the window, Regina leaned in, resting her hands on the window ledge on either side of the blonde while she continued her assault by whispering her words next to Emma's ear.
"You were just what? Acting on both of our desires? Using blind courage as an excuse to force yourself on me? You know, you're no better than that idiot pirate, Swan. Forcing your affection where it's not due. How does it make you feel? Does it make you feel good? Powerful? Unstoppable? I wonder if this is how you get all your women, huh, Swan? Who's your next victim? Ruby seems like a-"
Regina was cut off by a sudden force flinging her across the room. She crashed into the desk sitting in the middle of the room and painfully tumbled over it, landing in a heap of regal clothing and random paper. Hearing familiar boots approach, the former evil queen quickly sorted herself and stood, ready for a fight. But what she encounter when she looked up into the Sheriff's eyes was not the expected anger.
Instead, Regina was faced with sorrow, hurt and ...tears. Tears threatened to brim from fierce blue eyes but Regina saw Emma visibly hold them back as the blonde tried to swallow the large lump that had built in her throat.
"Is that what you think, Regina? Is that what you really think of me?"
"Ok, Granny, I'm heading back over to the Sheriff's station."
"Didn't you just come from there? I thought we had an agreement? Mornings there with afternoon and nights here. Don't try and shuck your responsibilities by hanging out with Emma cause I promise even the Sheriff won't be able to help your case when I get my hands on you, young lady."
"Granny please. Emma's not feeling too well right now and I don't think she's eaten anything. Plus, you know how hard it is too help the stubborn woman. She won't let anyone simply take care of her. I just want to help her out for now, please. Is that alright with you, Almighty Queen of Diners?"
"There is no need for all the snark, Red. Now go. Make sure the Sheriff doesn't do more harm than good to the town. Lord knows we'll really need a Savior then."
"Thanks, Granny! Love you."
"Yeah, Yeah. Shoo girl."
Takeout bags securing in her hands, Ruby pivoted on her heel and prepared to leave only to almost crash into Charming, who had burst into the diner without a second thought, a frantic look gracing his face. As he looked around the room, he cursed when he didn't find what he was looking for. Charming was just about to turn and look elsewhere when Ruby stopped the man who was obliviously unaware he had almost toppled someone to the ground.
"Hey, David. Are you alright? You look as if you're trying to hunt someone down and not sparing any lives on the way."
Charming chuckled and smiled apologetically.
"Well, I am, actually. I'm looking for Henry. We were playing hide and seek and apparently his version includes the whole of Storybrooke. I have half the mind to send out a search party."
Ruby visibly stiffened at that which instantly drew Charming's concern.
"Red, what is it?"
"Nothing. Or maybe a lot. Look, Henry was here earlier, like probably thirty minutes ago. He was talking with Gold about something related to Emma but Gold refused to tell him and insisted of returning him to you-"
"But I haven't seen Henry at all," Charming interrupted.
"Exactly. So if Henry hasn't gotten to you, then maybe you really do need to send out that search party."
Charming stood there shocked, his scarred jaw hanging wide open. Red looked at him as if he was a dim-witted ogre.
"Now, David! We need to find him now!"
"Yeah, sorry, right!" Charming said as he dashed out the door.
Ruby rolled her eyes at the sometimes clueless man. Looking down at the bag in her hand, she groaned as another thought hit her.
There are two mama bears, known for their flashes of anger and over-protectiveness of one mischievous cub, currently being housed at the Sheriff's Station.
"And guess who has to inform them of the latest crisis," Ruby grumbled to herself as she left the diner and jogged the short distance to the Station, all the while, mentally preparing to be the awakener of hell in an already hell-raised building.
