A couple days later, Jesse poked his head in, "Jade?"

"Hmh?"

"My other friends found out that Viper is draining the energy of students for some reason, and that he's hiding in a lab in the forest. They are heading there now, but I'd feel safer if you came along too."

I rolled off my bed, grabbing my backpack and duel disk, "Fine. But don't expect me to save Jaden Yuki if he does something stupid."

"Not in a million years."

The underground lair he had was super creepy. There was a self sustaining jungle underneath, and I wouldn't be surprised if scientists had no idea some of the bugs exsisted.

A had been dragged along as well, and we were in the same group as Jesse and Jaden. Jaden looked at me, "Which way do you think we should go?"

I raised an eyebrow, "Whichever way will get you killed fastest."

He sighed, "Okay, bad idea to ask her. Jesse?"

He shrugged, "I don't kno..."

Something moved ahead of us, and the three guys ran that way, because nothing says brave like charging into a forest. A and I slowly walked that way, when suddenly the world spun around me.

When I came to, I was on my hands and knees, feeling sick to my stomach. A was a safe distance away, "What exactly happened?"

"Not sure, but it doesn't feel good."

She helped me back to my feet and we went in the direction that the guys had gone.

As we rounded the corner, we saw Jaden propped up against a wall, looking incredibly pale. A ran to his side, "What on earth is going on?"

"I had to duel Professor Stein."

I slowly walked over, "Where's Jesse?"

He pointed through the doorway next to him, "Looking for someone named Trapper."

I scowled, "Not that man again."

I left them behind and ran to find Jesse, who was in the middle of a duel, "Be careful nimrod. If you get too involved you'll pass out like the slacker back at the entrance."

He nodded, finishing off the duel.

And immediately collapsed.

Sighing, I pulled him to his feet as the others all joined us. Jaden seemed to be recovering pretty well, unfortunately.
