Author's Note: This is the whole story. I'm sorry there is room for more but I can't seem to find the muse to keep this going. It has sat on my harddrive for about three maybe four years now. As I am moving away from Stargate stories I'm trying to post everything I have.

Another Time Another You

Daniel stood in the blazing hot sun looking down at the Jumper from the top of the dunes. What on Earth could Sam and Jack be doing down there. Just as soon as his brain asked the question it shied away from the logical answer and he couldn't stop the smile spreading over his face.

Keying the radio he said, "Sam, Jack, when you are ready come back to the village. We have plans to make and so we can figure out where we're going to go, we can't stay here on Earth there's too much chance of us contaminating the timeline." Turning to Teal'c, he said, "The villager are having a party for us. We shouldn't stand them up."

"Indeed Daniel Jackson, I agree. I must also discover which of the Jaffa will follow me and those who choose to return to bondage into the service to the Goa'uld." Teal'c said as he turned and motioned to those still standing around the Jumper. "Come with we will return to the village and celebrate with the Tau'ri. They have freed us from the oppression. Join with me and be free."

The Jaffa cheered and falling into step behind Teal'c. Daniel took one last look at the Jumper and said, "Be happy you two. My Sam and Jack never had a chance to be."

Then he too followed Teal'c over the sand dunes toward the village.

Inside the Jumper Sam was enjoying being kissed. She couldn't help comparing Jack's movements to her other very limited experiences. There had been Johnny Milner in the fifth grade and their braces had gotten stuck together and the other had been some drunk friend of her brothers who thought she was easy because she was younger. Sadly that was the some of her romantic interludes.

Then suddenly it was over and Jack suddenly pulled back studying Sam. "Are you sure about this? I mean you kinda froze for a minute there." He looked into her eyes as though searching for something. "I mean, we just met and you've never been in a life threatening situation and you might not be thinking clearly. Sam, I don't want you to do anything you will regret"

"No, yes. I never…. I mean men don't usually-" She frowned up at him, stumbling over her words. "I'm not good at this." She motioned to the small space between the two of them.

"What?" Jack pinched the bridge of his nose confused as to what they were talking about.

Sam looked away wondering if she was going to ruin this whole thing. "One night stands, being with someone and walking away. Pretending it didn't mean anything. Well infact, I'm not good at any of this because I've never done it before." She looked down ashamed of her lack of experience.

Jack caught her chin and turned her to face him. He traced her lip with his thumb making her shiver. "Who said I was pretending or that I plan to walk away?" His voice was quiet as his shifted pulling her closer once more before Jack's mouth descended on hers and she forgot what she was thinking and just felt for a while.

Then he stopped again. "Sam, I'm not that kinda guy either, that's why I need you to be sure about this. We're going to be here for a long time and I don't want you to have any regrets."

"Jack, I've never done anything like this, no one has ever made me want to, but here now with you, I feel alive. Like we were meant to be, like this is right, so for once I want to take a leap and see what happens when I fall, because I know you will catch me."

Jack pulled her close once more. "Always."
