I woke up with a happy sigh before throwing the covers off of me. There was a million and one things I had to do today and I had to get started as soon as possible. It was Christmas Eve meaning that tomorrow morning, the whole Stilinski family would be on the way to Nana and Papa Stilinski's house. Meaning, I had to have Christmas with everyone I loved in Beacon Hills before the day was up.

But first, I had to do something with my brother that Nana and Papa would not like. A snowball war.

I quickly got out of bed, put on my coziest winter clothes, quickly brushed my teeth and hurried down the stairs. Stiles was already down there, eating a banana for breakfast. "Took you long enough." He spoke as he pulled his jacket off the chair it was hanging on.

"Hey." Dad spoke loud enough to stop us right at the front door. We both looked to him, knowing what he was going to say. It was the same thing every year. He continued to stand there with his mouth open for a few extra minutes, but eventually shook his head and threw a hand at us. "Screw it. You're both gonna do what you want." He moved to the sofa, picking up the remote to change the channel. "Don't come back in with broken bones like Christmas of '09."

I immediately turned to look at my brother with accusation. "Stiles."

"You're the one who started it by putting a hockey puck in a snowball!"

"I wasn't going to throw it at you!"

"Just get out of my house." Dad spoke in a tired voice.

We didn't need any more confirmation after that. We ran out of the house and into the snow. There was a moment where we actually just played in the snow for a minute, but that never lasted long. It was war time. Stiles and I usually gave each other time to come up with a strategy before the war started. I mean, we're family not barbarians.

My strategy this year was going to be nice and easy. Deception. The first thing I was gonna do was build a snowman. He was going to be my body guard. Then came the fort. My other source of protection. Then the snowballs. My ammunition.

When we both decided we were ready, Dad came out (being the only one who can commence the war) and set us loose. It was an hour of throwing snowballs at each other and Stiles looked like he was winning, but he didn't know about my secret weapon.

I dug through my fort and into the snowman while using my magic to continue throwing snowballs. As soon as I got positioned in the snowman, I stopped my snowballs from throwing themselves, knowing Stiles would take the bait immediately. "Are you finally announcing your defeat?"

I rolled my eyes with a scoff, gripping my ammunition tighter. "Please."

"Come on, Bree." Stiles spoke as I heard him get out from behind his fort. "Just give it up."

I took a deep sigh as a smile spread across my lips. "Surprise, bitch."

As he least expected it, I came out from the snowman to begin to pelt him with snowballs. "What the hell?!" I heard him scream as I began to laugh.

"Gonna admit defeat now?!" I asked him, backing him all the way to his fort.

"Okay!" He screamed out. "Okay!" His voice was higher pitched that time, making me smile, knowing I had won. "Bree Stilinski is the winner of this year's Christmas battle."

"Yes!" I cheered, pumping my arm in the air.

"Even though she used her magic to throw snowballs while positioning herself in the snowman."

I shrugged innocently as I wrapped my arm around him to guide him back inside. "No one said I couldn't."

So, we got inside, drank hot cocoa until we were no longer freezing and I continued to boast and brag about my victory as Stiles claimed I was "cheating".

"Hey," Dad spoke, getting my attention while taking a long sip of cocoa. "It's eleven."

I looked to the clock on the cable box quickly before jumping up, knowing I had a lot more to do today. "I'll be back tomorrow morning." I promised, moving to dad, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek

"We're leaving at eight am sharp whether you're here or not!" Dad called as I hurried to the door.

"Love you!" I called, knowing he wasn't over fond of me spending the night at Derek's, but he also knew there was nothing he could do about it with how far our relationship had gotten. I mean, we were engaged, there's not much he could do now.

I hurried out the door, got into my car and watched it roar to life. I took a deep sigh before putting it into drive, knowing this baby was getting old on me, but she could still keep up. I looked to what was in the back seat of my car, smiling, knowing exactly what was next.

The Beacon Hills Preserves was covered in snow at this time of year and it was perfect for sledding. When my car reached to a stop and I turned off my headlights, Scott and Liam were standing there, waiting for me. I was going to have to start doubling up on certain activities if I was going to get through everyone by the end of the day.

So with a little bit of magic, speed and werewolf strength, we got together the perfect hill. We all lined up in a row, each looking at each other, knowing what was about to happen was going to be one of the best things of the winter season. "Let's go, boys." I told them before pushing all my weight to take me down the hill.

We all let out an excited scream before landing in the powdery cold, laughing together, knowing this is one of the best things we all could have asked for. It was just two of my favorite boys and me. I'm actually really glad I started doubling up on this one.

As I got in my car, I knew what I had to do next. I had really missed this guy. I hurried down the street to the ice skating rink, putting my skates on in the car to save time before wobbly walking into the area. And right there on one of the bleachers was Jackson Whittmore tying his skates. "Come on!" I yelled as I wobbled past him, taking him completely off guard. "I've got a schedule to keep."

I turned around, about to go on the ice to see Jackson watching me with a bright smile. "Damn, I missed you, Stilinski."

I rolled my eyes as he began to walk towards me and I got on the ice. "I know you do."

We skated the hour away, laughing and talking about how life was for him in London and me in Beacon Hills. Jackson even went and landed himself a girlfriend. I told him all about my mom coming back and all of the not so good stuff that came out of this past year. Like Gabe dying. And I could really open up to him about that. For the first time in a long time, I realized how much I really did miss Jackson. I kind of wished he never left, but this was good for him. And like that, I left, knowing I would see him again next Christmas.

I was off to my next task. Lydia was the easy one. All she wanted to do was go shopping. So, we got each other's Christmas presents in the mall right in front of each other. It was the only way we knew how to do the whole Christmas thing together. I wouldn't ask for it any other way, though.

This next one, I was really excited about. I bounced with excitement as I waited in the elevator, my excitement getting to its maximum peak as I knocked on the door. Once the door opened, my mouth dropped. I was really glad they sent Isaac to open up the door. "Queen B."

I let out an excited squeal before throwing myself into his arms, my prediction about him lifting me up coming true in an instant. Once he put me down, I couldn't stop smiling up at him. "I missed you so much, Isaac."

"What about me?" I looked past him to see Allison standing there with her arms crossed. I squealed again, running to her, almost knocking her into the window, but I couldn't help myself. I really missed these guys. I even tackled Chris in a hug and I know he doesn't really show affection, but he hugged me pretty tight. He would probably be mad at me for telling you guys that, but dude, bad-ass-werewolf-hunting Argent just hugged the crap out of me. This isn't something you keep a secret.

Together, the four of us sat around in Christmas PJ's watching Christmas movies. Well, one Christmas movie. Hey, I still had a lot to do.

Next on the list was Malia and Kira. Our task of the hour was to find the perfect Christmas tree to surprise Mr. Tate. There was a lot of arguing, a lot of walking, a lot of cutting down and decorating, but it was all worth it to see the look on Mr. Tate's face. We all stayed a little while after, hanging out with the Tate family for a bit before I looked at my watch in a panic. "Crap! I'm late!" I quickly thanked Mr. Tate, said bye to Malia and Kira and hurried out the door.

Mason and Braeden were gonna kill me. Thank god the gun range stayed open late. We all chatted, Cassie made a surprise appearance and of course, we shot guns. It was the best thing I could ask for after not seeing them for so long. But being late had a domino effect. This time, my mother was going to kill me.

When I got to her apartment, Stiles was already there, making me roll my eyes. Usually I was the punctual one. When I got inside, of course, I was teased for being late, but all of it didn't matter the second I was hit with that familiar scent of mom's famous chocolate chip cookies I thought I would never smell again. So, we had a Saga Christmas. Stiles and I spending time with my mom, opening our gifts and talking about old Christmases.

I was laughing and having a good time when I realized it was past ten o'clock. "Oh, not again." I moaned before standing up from the couch. "I gotta go."

I moved towards my mom, her kissing me on the cheek before whispering, "Goodbye, sweetheart."

"Bye, Mom." I told her before looking over to my brother with a slight eye roll. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"Dreading it." He lied quickly while leaning down to hit me on the calf as I made my way for the door.

I rolled my eyes as I walked out, knowing I had the best family ever. I just wished we could all be intact again, but none of that was ever going to happen. But none of that mattered, not for who I was about to see.

With a deep sigh, knowing I was pretty late, I unlocked the loft door and swung it open. And in there, Derek was balancing tinsel and ornaments in his hands while holding the wire for the lights in between his teeth. He gave me a confused shrug as I just smiled at him, knowing there was no way I could get any luckier than the way my perfect day was ending. "You're late." He accused before walking towards the tree in front of the window.

I rolled my eyes, throwing my purse and jacket on the floor to follow him, placing my arms around his waist as he led the way to the tree. "I know, but you didn't have to start decorating it without me."

He set down everything he was holding onto, finally turning around to give me a proper hug. "I didn't know how late you were gonna be. I didn't want to leave tomorrow and the place not even being remotely decorated." When he pulled away, he leaned forward, giving me a small peck on the lips. "How was your day?"

I looked up, reminiscing on it. "Kind of perfect."

"Fantastic." He immediately handed me some tinsel, causing me to smile widely. "Now I need you to get to work."

"Someone's a little mad." I taunted before beginning to walk away, trying to find the perfect place to put it. That's when I felt a hand smack my ass, causing me to turn around with my jaw dropped. Derek put his hands up in defense, causing me to go for him. "Derek!"

When I tried to go for him, though, he just smiled, grabbing onto my hands while backing up. "You're cute." He accused before I pushed him back with a laugh. I swear, sometimes I just hated him.

By 11:59, the whole apartment was decorated. Well, almost the whole thing. "I," Derek spoke dramatically while holding something behind his back, making me roll my eyes at how much of a nerd he could be. "Derek Hale, commence Bree Stilinski to put the last piece in place by placing the star at the top of the tree."

He brought it out from behind his back, making me smile. It was a gold star with so much intricate detail in it. I looked up at him with a happy smile, knowing he did a great job in picking out the star. "It's beautiful."

He immediately turned around, crouching down so I could jump on his back to put the star on top. He knew, like I did, that I was way too short to reach that and we weren't trying to kid ourselves here. I jumped up on his back, gripping the star tight because I sure as hell was not dropping this thing. He moved up to the tree and I was about to put the star on top, but I looked to the clock, realizing it was still 11:59. "Wait!" I yelled, holding my position there, knowing I couldn't put it on until midnight.

"Come on, Bree." Derek groaned.

Then, like magic, the clock changed from 11:59 to 12:00. "Now." I spoke with a content smile before placing the star right on top of the tree. Once I was done, Derek shrugged me off before pulling me close to his chest again, causing me to look right up into those unchanging icy blue eyes. "Merry Christmas, Derek."

He smiled down at me and even if I couldn't read his mind, I knew he was thinking the same thing I was. Just how lucky we were. "Merry Christmas, Bree."

With that, we shut off all the lights, the only thing shinning in the apartment being the Christmas tree lights. I snuggled up to Derek in bed, knowing tomorrow was also going to be a great day. Because my grandparents were meeting the love of my life for the very first time. And as I drifted off to sleep, I had a smile on my face, knowing I was going to wake up to a day full of his beautiful face.
