This is the one-hundred sixth chapter in the Pokemon Heroes story. This will finally conclude The Bounty Hunters Saga. One day late just because I forgot to update it last night. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon or any of the songs.

(Opening song)

"Where the hell are they?" asked Drew as he looked around in the sky. He was flying in the sky on Flygon with Pikachu. They had lost Ash and Lnoki. The two were so fast that Flygon wasn't able to catch up to them, especially since it was trying to catch them while they ran through the forest.

"Can you smell him?" Drew asked Pikachu. Pikachu started sniffing the air, but it couldn't smell anything. Drew sighed.

"Whatever," he said. "We'll find them eventually. They can't get too far. Ash said that he felt May somewhere north of here. I guess we know whose fault it was that we lost them because someone didn't know where north was."

"Pika/Flygon!" yelled Pikachu and Flygon.

"I do know where north is," said Drew. "It's...um...that way?" Pikachu and Flygon just shook their heads in disappointment. Pikachu immediately pushed its head up and started sniffing the air again. It moved to Flygon's head and looked in one direction.

"Pika!" yelled Pikachu.

"You smell, Ash?" asked Drew, and Pikachu nodded. "Let's go!" Flygon flew in that direction, heading towards Ash and Lnoki.

Bros

Ash stood in front of Brendan and Dawn with Lnoki by his side. May ran towards him and hugged him from behind. Ash, ignoring May, turned to Brendan and Dawn. He saw Brendan was beaten and cut. He grumbled and turned to Riku and Lee.

"You two stay back," said Ash. "I'll beat their ass for you."

"Riku, Riku, Riku, Riku, Riku!" yelled Lee excitedly. "The Aura Guardian is here! This has got to be my day!"

"Shut up," said Riku as he walked forward. "How about we switch? I've been wanting to fight that Aura Guardian for a while."

"Go screw yourself!" yelled Lee. "I wanna fight him!"

"I'll take on both of you!" yelled Ash. "Come at me, bro!"

"Don't get cocky, Ash," said Lnoki as he face palmed. "These guys are tough. I would suggest I help you fight them."

"Don't even think about getting in this," said Ash. "This is my thing." He looked at May attached to him and pushed her off. She looked at him and smiled.

"I knew you would come," said May. Ash gave a small smile and nodded.

"Leave it to me," said Ash. He turned back to Lee and Riku and covered his hands in aura.

"I'm gonna show you basterds that you're in real..." said Ash, but then he was suddenly pushed down by Brendan. They both fell to the ground. Ash turned back to Brendan angrily.

"What the hell was that for?"

"Why are you here?" asked Brendan. Ash rammed his head against Brendan's as Brendan pushed back.

"Was that supposed to be an insult?" asked Ash. "You don't want me here?"

"It wasn't an insult until you said it was," said Brendan. "This is my fight, not yours. Just stay back until I'm done."

"What does that mean?" asked Ash. "Just look at you. You looked messed up from these guys. Just let me fight them." Brendan got his head away from Ash and looked at Lee and Riku angrily.

"I'm serious," said Brendan. "There is something I want to settle with them, and I don't want anyone to get hurt because of it. I want to take care of it, and that's that." Ash stared at Brendan.

"No, Brendan," said Dawn. "Ash is here. Let him beat them for us. I don't want to see you get hurt anymore. Maybe-"

"Fine," said Ash, shocking Dawn. "I understand, but I can't let you fight both of them. I'll take the big one, okay?" Brendan nodded. They stood next to each other and gave each other a high five.

"Go ahead," said Brendan with a smile. "Just be careful out there, bro."

"I should be saying that to you, bro," said Ash with a smile.

"But, Brendan..." said Dawn as she frowned. Brendan turned back to her and gave her a thumbs up.

"I'll be fine," said Brendan. "You just stay here and wait for me."

"What does that mean?"

"Ash, I'm gonna be taking the crazy one someplace else so he won't hurt anybody," Brendan whispered to Ash. "I want you to take care of the girls."

"Easy."

Brendan started running away.

"Brendan!" yelled Dawn as she started to chase him, but Ash stopped her.

"He'll survive," said Ash. "I know him."

"Where the hell do you think you're going!" yelled Lee as he started to chase after Brendan. "I don't care about these other fuckheads! Riku, take care of them!"

"My pleasure," said Riku as the gears moved in his arms. Dawn wanted to chase after Brendan anyway to protect him, but she stayed back. Somewhere, deep inside her, she had hope that Brendan was going to return okay. This made her smile. Ash cracked his knuckles and prepared to fight.

"I've wanted to kick your ass ever since you kicked mine back then," said Ash. "It's time for me to return the favor."

"I'm too overpowered for you to return some favor," said Riku. "I remember your father like it was yesterday. I've wanted payback for a while, you see, but he's gone now, isn't he?"

"He's not gone," said Ash. "He's somewhere out there. I just have to look for him."

"It's sad hearing your sad delusions," said Riku. "When Aaron disappeared, just like the rest of Ransei, I was greatly disappointed, but not because the nation lost a great hero, but because I'll never be able to exact my revenge on him."

"What'd he ever do to you?" asked Ash.

"He broke my fucking jaw," answered Riku. "Right up my chin. He destroyed every single bone in my mouth. Hurt like shit after that. I wanted to meet him again so I can rip him apart limb from limb. I wanted to see his pain-stricken one more time before I died. I had to wear this heavy metal thing just so I can talk again."

"Sucks to be you," said Ash with a sly smile. Riku's eye twitched.

"You think it's funny, huh?" asked Riku. "I'll show you what's funny after I beat your friends to a pulp in front of you!" He rushed towards May with the gears moving in his arms. Before he even hurt May, Ash went in front of her and held Riku's arm. Ash looked sternly at Riku, who showed an angered expression back at Ash.

"You should've just hit Drew instead," said Ash, and he covered his fist in aura and rammed it into Riku's face, pushing him back. Riku felt his face and was amazed at how much it hurt. He looked back at Ash. He remembered when they first fought, Ash wasn't able to get too far with the fight, but now, he felt like Ash was experienced.

"I heard someone call my name," said Drew as he flew down by Ash with Flygon. He looked at Riku and then back at Ash.

"I thought you ate a mushroom, man," said Drew. "Is this guy seriously here? Didn't he kick our butts back then?" Ash looked sternly at Drew, making the boy shut his mouth.

"I would suggest you take the girls to safety, Drew," said Lnoki. "Ash and I are going to take care of this."

"I'm gonna take care of this," said Ash.

"Don't be selfish," said Lnoki. "I haven't fought anyone for a while. I think it's fair if I get a piece of him."

"Go fuck yourself!"

"I'll take care of both of you at the same time!" yelled Riku as he came in front of Ash and Lnoki and tried hitting them both with his metal arms, but they both jumped over him and kicked the man on his head. Riku turned and punched Lnoki, who grabbed the man's fist and kicked it out of the way as he made his fist make direct contact with Riku's face, sending a shockwave throughout his body. Riku pushed him away and looked around for Ash. When he looked up, Ash was coming down at him with an Aura Sphere. He crashed it down on Riku, who used his arm to block the hit, but the ground below him started to break. Riku then took Ash and rammed him into the ground. He stood over Ash and he chuckled.

"That's all you got?" Riku asked. He then started moving his engine like arms on Ash, pushing Ash into the ground more as Ash was hit over and over again.

"Get off the boy!" yelled Lnoki as he went towards Riku and kicked his head upwards, but Riku just grabbed Lnoki's leg with his free arm and moved his face close to Lnoki.

"I've killed old men a bunch of times," he said. "I can easily break you without a second thought." He then grabbed Lnoki's body and started to crush him. Lnoki screamed in pain. Riku was just laughing until he saw a thunderbolt being sent towards him. He tossed Lnoki aside and conducted the electricity into his arm. A second later, he was hit by a wave of sharp leaves. His metallic body was getting scratched. He moved away and saw his attackers were Drew with his Roselia and Pikachu,

"Ash, can you get back up?" asked Drew. Ash groaned and forcefully got up.

"You still got some fight in you after me crushing you?" asked Riku. Ash slammed his fist on the ground and smirked at Riku.

"Heck yeah," he said. "For a bounty hunter, I thought I could beat you up and be done with it, maybe help Brendan out there. Now, I really underestimated you. I'm all fired up!" To the side, Dawn looked out to the distance for Brendan. Now that Ash had Riku occupied, she could make a run for it. She was about to, but Drew stopped her.

"I saw him running in that direction while coming here," said Drew. "Leave him. If he wants to take his fight somewhere else, we just have to believe in him." Dawn wanted to run anyway, but she stopped. She did believe in Brendan, and she hoped for his return to them.

Brendan was in an even more rocky area than he was before. Rocks were everywhere, and he had to be careful not to fall off a cliff.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are," said Lee somewhere else. "I won't hurt you. I just want to talk to you." Brendan continued to quietly walk. He was trying to regain his strength before continuing his fight with Lee. He leaned by a rock and sighed. Suddenly, that rock was sliced into pieces. Brendan turned back and saw Lee standing there. Brendan took a step back before Lee cut him too. Before Brendan could run again, Lee took him by the collar and pushed him against a rock.

"You thought you could really run away from me?" asked Lee. "That's a laugh." Brendan struggled to get released from Lee's grip. He successfully got released after kicking Lee on his face. As Lee rubbed his face, he looked back at Brendan, who had once again ran away. He had returned Aggron and Mightyena before he ran from his friends, but they were too exhausted to be fighting Lee again. Brendan didn't want to torture them. As he ran, he heard rocks getting destroyed behind him.

"Come out!" yelled Lee. "Come out before I destroy this whole place. I might accidentally kill you in the process!" As Brendan ran, the ground below him started to get less rough. He noticed that he was heading into the forest now.

"Aw, come on!" yelled Lee as Brendan entered the forest. He thought he could be safer this way by hiding behind trees, but then he heard trees falling down.

"Seriously?" whispered Brendan. "How bad does this guy want to kill me?" He looked forward and saw a small Dedenne looking at him. He was confused at what kind of Pokemon it was, but then the tree he was hiding behind broke in half. He moved away as he saw the Dedenne run away. Lee walked towards him.

"Seriously?" asked Lee. "Out of all the places you decided to hide in, you picked the forest. I'm lucky I found you though. Don't ever think about doing that again."

"Screw you," said Brendan as he took out a Pokeball, but Lee knocked it out of Brendan's hand and kicked Brendan towards a tree.

"Who's the idiot now?" asked Lee. Brendan tried getting up, but Lee kicked his stomach, pushing him back down.

"Ha, ha, ha!" laughed Lee. "What you gonna do now, huh? What are you gonna do now?" Suddenly, he was kicked in the face by a small Pokemon that came out of nowhere. He looked towards his attacker and saw Brendan's Nuzleaf ready to fight.

"Now this thing wants to fight?" asked Lee. "Bring it, little guy."

"Stay in your Pokeball, Nuzleaf!" yelled Brendan. "It's too dangerous for you to fight out here with this guy!" Nuzleaf disobeyed its trainer and charged at Lee to punch him, but Lee smacked the Pokemon into the bushes.

"Did I kill it?" asked Lee. "Sometimes I don't know my own strength." Brendan angrily got back up and took out another Pokeball. He tossed it up in the air and released Pelipper. Pelipper flew down towards Brendan and took the boy towards the sky. Brendan looked down at the forest beneath him.

"We have to get Nuzleaf and then fly away," said Brendan. "I need to get myself together before going toe-to-toe with that guy." Lee shot out his nails towards the sky to attack Brendan and Pelipper, but Pelipper was able to dodge them.

"You can try all you want, but that's no use," said Lee. "While you're in the sky, I can attack you freely. You made a bad choice running away from your friends just to fight me. I say staying with them would've given you a better chance to beat me, but you just wanted to play the hero, did you?"

"I need to get to a safe place for now," thought Brendan. "If we head back into the rocky terrain over there, then maybe I can hide in some kind of cave until I recover. Where the hell is Nuzleaf though?" He heard Lee laugh, but it was suddenly stopped and he saw trees fall to the ground one after another.

"OW!" he heard Lee yell. At first, Brendan thought Ash was here to save his ass, but then he saw a big Pokemon come into view next to the fallen trees. A Shiftry stood in front of Lee, ready to fight. It looked up at Brendan and nodded. Pelipper suddenly flew down by Shiftry. Brendan was confused, but then he smiled.

"That you, Nuzleaf?" he asked. Shiftry nodded.

"You must've found a Leaf Stone while in those bushes, did you?"

Shiftry nodded again. Brendan got off Pelipper and looked at Lee.

"Get up, asshole!" Brendan yelled towards Lee, who was trying to stand back up. Lee looked angrily at Brendan.

"Your Pokemon evolved," said Lee sarcastically. "It's not that special. All Pokemon evolve. You think that Pokemon evolving is going to save your ass. You're fucking wrong! I'm gonna tear you apart for wasting my time, kid. Just be a good little boy and stay down."

"I know I'll beat you," said Brendan. "With my Pokemon."

"Aw, fuck it!" yelled Lee. "I gave you a chance! I don't care if I kill you!"

"Bring it."

After he got beaten up by Riku, Ash still won't stand down to him. As Riku watched Ash stand up, he felt a pressure around him. Ash covered his fists in aura and his eyes turned blue.

"What the hell?" thought Riku. Suddenly, Ash appeared in front of him and punched the man on his face. He was pushed back, but Ash continued to punch him over and over again. He tried blocking the hits with his arms, but Ash was gaining the upper hand in their fight.

"Get off me!" yelled Riku as he pushed Ash away. Electricity started to cover his arms.

"You thought attacking me with thunder was going to help, did ya?" asked Riku. "Remember this kid: metal can conduct electricity." He crashed his arms on the ground, sending surges of electricity at Ash, who easily dodged it, but the electricity kept on going towards May and Dawn. Lnoki took Dawn in his arms and got out of the way as Drew took May on Flygon and flew to the sky.

"You dick!" yelled Ash. And he came towards Riku before he could see Ash coming. Ash punched Riku on the side of his face with his aura covered fists, making the man fly away. Riku got to his feet and shot electricity at Ash, but he dodged it and charged towards Riku with aura covering his body, but Riku got out of the way and Ash was sent through the ground.

"Smart move," said Riku sarcastically. He then felt the ground shake. Ash came out of the ground below him and kneed Riku with his aura covered knee. The attack was so powerful that Riku's metal piece on his mouth was ripped off. Riku fell on the ground. Ash landed on top of him and punched the man on his face over and over again. As blood covered his face, he started to chuckle. Ash saw Riku's face. Riku's face was disoriented due to past fights, and his jaw was just hanging from his face like it wasn't connected at all. He punched Ash with his arms and slowly stood up. He held his jaw up to his face so he could speak.

"I'm gonna kill you all," he said angrily. "I'm gonna kill every last one of you!" They all felt the ground shake. Rocks crumbled by themselves. Ash stood up, but had a hard time due to the shaking ground. Gravity felt like it was increased, knocking Flygon to the ground. The ground started breaking. Slowly, the earth around them started to separate. Riku's arms were moving at a fast pace as they hit the ground over and over as Riku laughed. Lnoki forced himself to get up.

"We...have to stop him," he said. "He's trying to make us fall into the earth. Maybe I can..." Ash held his hand out, stopping Lnoki.

"I have to fight myself," said Ash. "You said I have to deal with stuff myself sometimes. I'm gonna show you I can do that now!" Aura was surrounding Ash as he was making the ground shake himself. He smirked as he stared at Riku.

"My dad wasn't able to take care of you back then, so I'm gonna kick your ass in his place," said Ash. "I'm gonna show you what an Aura Guardian can really do!" Dawn and May stared at Ash amazingly. May smiled and looked at Dawn.

"I told you everything would get better once he comes," said May. Dawn smiled herself. Lnoki also smiled as he watched Ash.

"You would make your father so proud," thought Lnoki.

Lee extended his nails and tried to strike Shiftry and Pelipper, but they got out of the way before they got hit by Lee's attack. Brendan was riding on Pelipper to order his Pokemon on what to do with the fight. Even when Nuzleaf evolved, they were still no match for the bounty hunter. He was just too fast for them.

"Pelipper, use Hydro Pump!" ordered Brendan. Pelipper launched its attack on Lee, who easily got out of the way.

"Shiftry, use Leaf Storm!" ordered Brendan. With a whole storm of leaves, Shiftry attacked Lee with them, but Lee cut through the leaves easily with his nails. He then ran up to Shiftry and kicked it across the face as he tried to cut it with his nails, but Shiftry moved back.

"Is this the best your Pokemon can do?" asked Lee. "Come on. Try harder."

"Shut up!" yelled Brendan. "We'll beat you. The bonds I share with my Pokemon strengthen us."

"I'm getting sick of hearing this bonds crap!" yelled Lee as he turned to Brendan in the air. "I'm gonna show you how crappy bonds are!" He extended nails at Pelipper, who easily dodged, but another set came from another end. Pelipper didn't have time to dodge it, but the attack didn't hit it. It hit Brendan. The nails went through his chest area. Blood escaped his mouth as he fell off Pelipper and landed on the ground with the nails still connected. Lee removed them as Brendan yelled in pain. Pelipper and Shiftry ran to their trainer's side, trying to wake him up as he covered his bleeding chest.

"Don't worry," said Lee. "It didn't go through your heart, but that's enough to take you down." As he laughed, Brendan felt his vision get blurry.

"It hurts," he thought. Everything went black.

"Don't tell me that's all you can do."

"But I can't do it anymore. He's too strong."

"Then use the power I gave you."

"What?"

"There was a reason why I gave you it. Use The Inheritance to beat him."

"I don't want to use something that'll force Pokemon to do stuff for me!"

"That's crap! The Inheritance isn't just used for that! I saw you fight that Salamence back then. I saw what happened. It didn't leave you alone because you were too strong. It left you because it had respect for you for fighting it even when you had no chance. You gained a bond with it. It gave you its power to beat it."

"I don't get it."

"The Inheritance is a power that fuses the bonds between Pokemon and trainer. Because of this bond, you will be able to use your Pokemon's power for your own in battle. The Tenrou Clan planned to use this to fight the government, but the Obito Clan prevented it. They wanted to use it for good, and that's what you're going to use it for. You have strong bonds with your Pokemon, right?"

"Yeah."

"Then use that. I know you can do it. I believe in you."

"Why are you helping me?"

"You don't remember my voice?" asked the voice as Brendan saw the light through the darkness. Brendan then realized who it was.

"Go get him, son."

"No problem, pops," thought Brendan as he opened his eyes. His Pokemon were relieved. He stood up while holding his Pokemon's heads. Lee sighed.

"Not done yet?" asked Lee. When he saw Brendan's eyes, his eyes widened.

"Of course not," said Brendan with his emerald colored eyes. "I'm all fired up."

As Riku and Ash were both making the ground shake beneath them, a rift was opening up behind Riku.

"ALL OF YOU WILL DIE!" yelled Riku.

"Kiss my ass!" yelled Ash as he curled his hands in front of his mouth as he shot out a large quantity of aura from his mouth and was sent towards Riku. Riku stopped laughing when he saw the ton of aura heading towards him and his eyes widened.

"Fuck," he said. The aura made contact with him, causing a huge explosion. Through the cloud of smoke, Riku was still standing, only he was beaten and wobbling around. Through the smoke, he saw Sir Aaron in front of him, but it was really Ash.

"AARON!" yelled Riku as he threw a punch, but Ash grabbed his arm, turned around, and then uppercutted the man with his aura covered fist, just like his father did. Riku felt all the bones in his face break. He fell backwards into the rift with white lifeless eyes.

"Dammit," thought Riku. Ash watched him fall in there. As the dust clouds disappeared, Lnoki and the others could finally see Ash with his back towards them and no Riku around. Ash raised his fist in the air. May and Dawn smiled.

"Ash!" yelled May as she ran towards the boy and hugged him from behind. As Drew and Dawn gave each other a high five, Lnoki and Ash made eye contact. Ash gave a thumbs up. Lnoki smiled and gave one back to him.

Lee was amazed. Brendan had already activated The Inheritance. Lee clenched his teeth and curled his fists. The expression on Brendan's face reminded Lee of Jonathan.

"WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE!" yelled Lee as he charged at Brendan, but he was hit in the face by Brendan's rock hard fist.

"That was the power of my Aggron," said Brendan. "And this is the power of Mightyena!" He kicked Lee away, and then charged at the man while he was on all fours and rapidly hit Lee over and over again. He stopped by a tree.

"This is the strength of Shiftry," said Brendan as he took the tree off its roots and hit Lee with it, sending the man towards the sky. "And this is the power of Pelipper!" He then jumped up at an amazing height over Lee and cupped his hands together. He hit Lee with it, sending the man down to the ground. Brendan landed near him.

"That's the power of The Inheritance," said Brendan. "Bonding with Pokemon helps me gain their powers. But that's not all it can do." Suddenly, behind him, a whole swarm of Pokemon came out of the forest. The Pokemon were forest Pokemon that consisted of Butterfree, Beedrill, Beautifly, Dustox, Pidgeot, Noctowl, Xatu, Raichu, Victreebel, and Breloom.

"I can ask the Pokemon in this forest to help me," said Brendan. "I'm not forcing them. They are voluntarily doing it because they don't want you in their forest anymore." Lee tried forcing himself to get up, but he fell back down.

"I...I won't lose to you," said Lee. "I'm fighting a kid. I will not lose to a kid. Never! Never!"

"I'm going to avenge all those people you've killed in the past," said Brendan. "Right here, right now. I won't be the one to deal the final blow to you. These Pokemon will do it for me." Brendan saw fear written all over Lee's face.

"I HATE YOU!" yelled Lee. "I HATE YOU SO MUCH!"

"Back to you, bro," said Brendan. Brendan watched the Pokemon use different attacks on Lee. He heard Lee yell in pain. In the end, Brendan saw the man's lifeless body on the ground. Brendan's eyes returned to normal. He kneeled on the ground and looked towards the sky. With the last bit of strength he had, he gave a loud yell that rang throughout the forest, and then he fainted due to blood loss.

It took them a while to find Brendan's body in the forest thanks to Pikachu's scent. Luckily, due to how small his wounds were, Brendan hadn't lost too much blood, resulting in him in living. They camped out in the forest for the night and bandaged him up. Brendan luckily woke up. Immediately after he did, Ash and he began to argue, just like they always do.

"You look beaten up pretty bad there," said Ash as he taunted Brendan. "Look at me. I don't have a scratch on me."

"That's because you're a monster," said Brendan. "Not everyone can be like you, Ash. At least I beat one of them by myself. Remember when you fought them the first time? You got your butt kicked pretty badly, huh?"

"You better shut your mouth," said Ash as he rammed his head into Brendan's, who pushed back.

"Now, now," said Lnoki. "We don't want your wounds opening up, Brendan."

"He started it," said Brendan.

"No I didn't," said Ash.

"Yes, you did," said May. "You made fun of him first."

"Be quiet, May," Ash hissed. Brendan lied back down in his sleeping bag as Dawn checked to see if wounds did open up.

"Do we get to keep Drew this time?" asked May. "We're lucky he's still alive."

"I don't die that easily," said Drew. "It could take a boulder for me to die."

"Since she said that, when are we gonna head back to training, Ash?" asked Lnoki. Ash looked at him and scratched his cheek nervously.

"Actually, I'm not planning to head back," said Ash in a low whisper so that no one could hear, but May heard. She gave a big smile.

"Does that mean you're staying with us this time?" she asked. Ash looked at Lnoki nervously, expecting the man to get angry, but instead, Lnoki was smiling. Ash looked back at May and nodded. May hugged Ash.

"Go ahead, Ketchum," thought Lnoki. "You deserve it."

Later that night, while everyone was resting, Dawn woke up to find that Brendan and May were not in their sleeping bags. Dawn slowly stood up and looked around. She heard sounds in the forest. She walked in the direction of the sound. While she was walking, she saw Brendan in another clearing of the forest, looking up at the sky. Dawn slowly walked towards him.

"Are you okay?" Dawn asked. Brendan turned to her with a smile on his face.

"Never been better," he said. Dawn sat down next to him.

"I finally beat him."

"Who?"

"That guy," said Brendan. "I finally beat him. We don't have to be afraid anymore. We're safe for now." Seeing Brendan's happy voice made Dawn smile.

"My father's death will no longer affect me," said Brendan with a huge smile. "I finally beat him."

"That's good for you," said Dawn with a smile back.

"With this new power I have thanks to my dad, I can help in protecting all of you," said Brendan. "Ash won't be the only one playing hero from now on. No one will hurt you anymore, Dawn, I promise."

"I know that," said Dawn. "You've always been protecting me. I have to protect you sometimes too." Suddenly, Brendan pulled Dawn towards her and gave her a kiss on her lips. When they separated, Brendan smiled.

"Let's head back," said Brendan as he stood. Dawn was shocked by the sudden kiss. Brendan held his hand out to her. She smiled and took it.

"Alright."

Ash woke up when Dawn suddenly left her sleeping bag. He looked around and saw Lnoki sleeping by a tree and Drew talking to himself in his sleep while holding his backpack. Ash looked towards May's sleeping bag and didn't see her there. He was prepared to go look for her, but then he felt something soft in his sleeping bag.

"Oh no," he thought. He removed the top from him, and he saw May in his sleeping bag looking up at him. He was about to scream, but May covered his mouth.

"People are sleeping, Ash," said May. Ash removed her hands and looked at her angrily.

"Why are you under there?" he asked.

"I missed sleeping with you," said May. "Is that wrong?"

"In many ways," said Ash as he turned away from May. May hugged him from behind.

"You're not kicking me out," said May. "That must mean you missed me too, didn't you?" Ash didn't respond to her. She placed her head on his back.

"Will you be leaving to train again?"

"Maybe."

"Can I come with you next time?"

"Maybe," Ash responded. May removed her head from his back.

"Turn around," she said. "I want to see your face." Ash ignored her and pretended he was asleep.

"Turn around, Ash."

Ash sighed and turned to her. Before he could insult her, May kissed him on his lips. After she was done, she placed her head on his chest.

"Good night, Ash," said May. Ash was frozen. After a while, he smiled and put his arms around her.

"Good night," he said, and the two slept peacefully together.
