Chapter 11

Kakashi walked into the dressing area for the concert. He had done another walk around to make sure everything was tight for security. Itachi had also been keeping a close eye on it as well. He seemed to be more nervous than Sasuke for this concert. People were already lined up outside waiting to get in. The press were already here and chomping at the bit to be able to come back and interview the singers. Kakashi knew most of them were interested in Sasuke over everyone else. He was hoping Sasuke would be able to handle it and not feel overwhelmed by everything. Only half of the press could speak with him before the concert and then the second half would be afterwards. Kakashi was very interested in seeing the concert, he had seen parts of it, but it was different when it was in full swing. Kakashi walked in and quickly found Sasuke just finishing up.

Kakashi went over and saw that Sasuke was actually putting on some black eyeliner. He also noticed that his nails were painted black as well. Kakashi took in Sasuke's outfit and it screamed punk. He had skinny jeans on that were a distressed light blue with a few stylish rips in them. He had black suspenders hanging down from his belt that was black with white skulls on it. His shirt was a simple black and he had red leather fingerless gloves to go with it and to finish it off he had black high top converse shoes. Kakashi had never seen Sasuke dress like this before and he knew it meant a lot to Sasuke. This was his chance to be just himself, not someone he had to be in a file. He was just Sasuke tonight. Sasuke finished his eye liner and then put his glasses back on. He turned to see Kakashi and gave him a smile.

"Everything good?"

"Yes. Security is fine, but I think your brother is going to explode with nervous energy."

"This is really different for him. He's used to being off in the background. He doesn't tend to go out to functions like this. He'll be fine once it starts. He's not going to like the press part."

"He'll be ok. He's going to be too busy watching you up on stage to think of anything else."

"Hopefully he doesn't hate it."

Kakashi could see that Sasuke was really worried about that. It made perfect sense. Sasuke didn't have a close relationship with his family, all he had was Itachi. It only made sense that he wanted Itachi's approval and support. Kakashi placed his hand on Sasuke's cheek as he spoke.

"Anyone that hears you sing is instantly going to fall in love with you. There is no way he could sit there and hate it. He's going to hate seeing you leaving the stage. You are amazing, don't ever doubt that Sweetheart."

"Thanks Babe."

"I love the look too. You look like you."

"I feel like me. For the first time in my life, I feel like me. You good with the eyeliner and nail polish?"

"Very much so. You get to express who you are and I don't think you should hold back. You look very good and I can't wait until I get to have you all to myself tonight."

"I'm going to be flooding with energy, I hope you aren't tired." Sasuke said with a sexy smirk.

"Never too tired for that."

Sasuke stood up as Itachi walked in. Itachi gave him a look over and Sasuke anxiously waited to see if he would say anything. He would be able to tell by a single look in Itachi's eyes what he thought. Sasuke felt his heart swell when Itachi gave him a small warm smile as he spoke.

"You look good Ototo."

"Thanks Niisan. Are you doing ok?"

"I'm not the one that is about to get up on stage in front of fifteen hundred people. How are you doing?"

"Great. I can't wait." Sasuke said with a huge smile as they both knew it was the truth. Sasuke wasn't even a little bit nervous about tonight.

"They are starting to let the first half of the press go back into the press room. Kovu wanted me to let you know that you are going to go in first so they can ask you questions and then after fifteen minute or so they will take you out and the others can go in. They didn't want you to be the sole focus and not let the other performers have a chance as well."

"Good. I was worried about that. It's not just me here. Everyone deserves the chance to speak with them and I want it to be about the concert and not about me. I'm not answering any personal questions. I want to focus on the charity."

"You'll probably have to answer a few personal questions to satisfy them, but just keep it to singing. You don't have to get into anything too deep tonight. If they do ask you something too personal just say you are looking to focus on the concert and the charity tonight. Be polite and you'll be fine." Kakashi said.

"They will probably be more interested in you singing than anything personal tonight anyways. They also only get fifteen minutes with you so they won't want to waste time with questions you won't answer. We'll be in there with you as well." Itachi said.

"Are you sure you are up for it? You don't really like attention like that. You might get pulled in for a comment." Sasuke said.

"I'll be fine. I have been thinking about being more political anyways."

"Really? Why, you hate it." Sasuke asked, surprised that Itachi would hold any interest in it.

"One day I will have to take over the Clan. That will become a part of it." Itachi simply said. When in reality he was doing it so he could try and get some allies on his side so he could get Sasuke out of the Agency.

"Makes sense." Kakashi said.

Kovu walked into the room and gave them all a warm smile.

"How are you feeling Sasuke?"

"Good. Everything ok on your end?"

"Everything is perfect. We haven't had any problems come up and I'm hopeful it will stay that way. People will be allowed to come in soon. I let Naruto and Sakura in, they are sitting in their seats. I will be at their table in the front along with Itachi and Kakashi. We'll be right in the front in the middle of the stage, best seats in the house. A couple of quick things first if you are ready."

"Ya I'm good."

"The concert will be broadcast live, I know it might be different for you but try and look at the camera every once in a while. The camera will not be in the press interview, but a reporter from the station will be in the second half. Also, do not be surprised if people ask you for a one on one interview. You don't have to give an answer right away tell them to contact myself and we will try to work something out. That will buy us some time to decide if you do want to do any interviews and with who. Lastly, Mitto is here."

"What?" Sasuke asked, shocked.

"What the hell is he doing here?" Kakashi asked with an edge to his voice.

"He bought a ticket and a backstage pass for afterwards. Merria was not aware of the conflict. It's too late now we will just need to be careful."

"Who is Mitto?" Itachi asked.

"Sasuke's stalker." Kakashi answered.

"You have a stalker? Why am I just hearing about this?" Itachi asked, as he looked right at Sasuke.

"Because up until two days ago we weren't exactly talking to each other. He's harmless, just annoying."

"I don't think he's that harmless. I think he plays harmless very well. He wants you to himself and I don't think he's above any means to make it happen." Kakashi said.

"He's also very interested in controlling what you say and wear. How you act. He didn't want you doing this concert to begin with because of how it would make the Uchiha name look. He also has access to your house and has been over before without permission." Kovu added.

"What? How did he get access to the house?" Itachi asked, pissed that this had been going on and he had no idea about any of it.

"He found out where the spare key was kept. Probably from Father. He walked in while I was getting changed. I thought it was Kakashi." Sasuke answered.

"It wouldn't surprise me if he was a spy while your father is away. He's going to report everything back to him." Kovu said.

"I will handle father. I don't want you to worry about any of this. He's just another face in the crowd tonight. Don't let him being around stop you from doing this how you wish to do it. I can control any of the fallout." Itachi said.

"That's not fair on you though." Sasuke said.

"Don't worry about it Ototo. I will handle it. Tonight is about fun, not about you stressing over every word or move you make. Enjoy tonight and don't think about it. I mean it."

"Ok." Sasuke said with a small smile.

"Alright, let's get you going into the press room and then afterwards you can come back here and hang out until it's showtime. Are you ready?" Kovu asked.

"Ya lead the way."

Kovu guided them all towards the press room that was set up last minute. They would be here for the backstage access after the show as well. They walked in and saw that it was a room created by red curtains hanging from the ceiling. There were black couches all around the area that was large enough for a hundred people to be in comfortably. There was a pop up bar with some water sitting in ice buckets as well.

"You can sit Sasuke and the press will as well around the room. Do you want some water?" Kovu asked.

"No I'm good thanks." Sasuke said as he went and sat down in a chair. He wasn't too sure where to sit, but he knew he didn't want anyone sitting down beside him from the press.

It was a couple minutes later when the press started to come in. Kakashi and Itachi went and stood behind Sasuke on each side of him just in case they were needed. It helped that no one could get close to Sasuke right now. They knew come after the concert it would be a completely different situation. Kovu went and played host, offering water to anyone who might want it. Once everyone was settled Kovu spoke.

"Sasuke only has fifteen minutes, before we need to bring in the other performers and Merria. We know that you are very interested in speaking with Sasuke so we wanted to give you some time with him alone. Sasuke is here to answer your questions about the concert. That is what he will be focusing on so please direct your questions in that direction."

"Sasuke, why are you doing this concert?" A female reporter that was local asked.

"It's for a good cause. I know technically for the past ten years I wasn't an orphan, but I did grow up on my own. We couldn't risk my being with my family so I had to stay in Konoha and live the life of an orphan. It was a very eye opening experience."

"How do you think your experience would compare to others that are orphans?" A male reporter asked from the Earth territory.

"I think everyone has a different experience. I had to live the life of an orphan, but at least I knew that I had someone out there that cared about me. That one day I would get to be back with that person. An orphan doesn't have any family to go back to. They have to try and make their own. That's why this charity is very important. Merria is looking to help orphan children by giving them a safe place to be where they can build relationships with people. Create their own family. Without these safe homes, they could be living on the street where anything could happen to them. It's unacceptable to me for children to sleep on the street. I hope this concert will bring some light to how serious this problem is and how common it is."

"Most know that Uchihas don't do anything like this. They don't sing. Why are you going against the Clan's practices?" Another male local reporter asked.

"I don't look at it as going against the practices. I see this concert as a chance to help people, help children. It's for a very good cause. Singing is something I am passionate about, to be able to do that and help someone, it was an easy decision."

"And how do you feel about this Itachi? You are a high member of the Clan. You are also the only Uchiha here supporting Sasuke. Has this decision caused you any problems?" A reporter from the Rock Village asked.

"No it has not. I support my brother and any dream he has. This is something that he is passionate about and makes him happy. That is all that matters to me."

"Why the interest in singing Sasuke?" A female reporter from the Fire Territory asked.

"I don't know. I've always been passionate about it. I've always loved playing music and singing. I taught myself how to play the guitar and piano when I was younger. I've been writing my own songs since I was younger as well. It has always been my dream to be on stage like this. I'm very blessed to be able to do this tonight and support a great cause."

"So this is something you have been waiting to do for a long time now?" A male reporter asked from the Wind Village.

"It has always been my dream to do this yes."

"Then why are you in the Agency?" The same reporter pressed.

"I like being able to help people."

"Are you hoping to be able to do this more often and eventually no longer be in the agency?" A female reporter asked.

"I'll leave that up to fate to decide. I'm just very thankful that I am able to do this tonight. It's not often you get to live your dream. Even if it is for only one night I will always be grateful for it."

"But if you had to choose?" A male reporter pressed.

"My choice would be a combination of both. Singing is what I love doing, it always has been and it always will be. However, being a ninja has been a part of my life since I was three years old. It's also part of who I am."

"How does your father feel about all of this?" Another male reporter asked that was local.

"My father nor my family is what matters tonight. Tonight is about this charity and doing good for a community. One of which is full of small children fighting every day to survive. Helping them is the only thing that matters."

"Are you singing any of your own songs?" A female reporter asked.

"I am. Every song is in the program, you can see which ones I've written and which ones are cover songs. At the end of the night if we reach our one million dollar goal then everyone will be in for a real surprise. We have two special numbers that we are all going to be doing. I will be singing and dancing in them as well."

"You are going to be dancing. This is going to be very interesting to see. I'm looking forward to it. Are you nervous?"

"Not yet, but I think that will kick in when it's time." Sasuke said with a shy smile.

"He's going to be amazing." Kakashi said with warmth.

"Are you worried about any overzealous fans?" A female reporter asked.

"I doubt I have any fans right now." Sasuke said with a humble voice.

"We have time for one more question before Sasuke needs to get going." Kovu said politely.

"Out of your own written songs, what is the one that you are going to sing that has the most meaning to you?" A local female reporter asked.

"My songs I've written at different stages in my life. I started when I was five and I can tell you right now they were terrible." Sasuke lightly joked. "I found that after things in my life started to become harder writing became a way that I could escape from those hardships. In a lot of ways my music saved me. My original songs tonight, they all have special meaning to me. They all hold a place in my heart. My two favorites though are, I Turn To You and Bound To You."

"That's all the time we have for tonight. Thank-you for all of your questions and we hope you enjoy the show." Kovu said politely.

Sasuke stood up and Kakashi and Itachi guided him out of the room and back to the dressing room area. Kovu made sure the others got inside the press room and all situated.

"That seemed to have gone well." Sasuke said as he went and sat down in a chair.

"It did. They didn't press for anything personal and were very respectful." Kakashi agreed.

"How are you feeling Ototo?"

"Good. I'm not really nervous. Excited."

It was clear Sasuke had a bunch of energy moving around inside of him. He was excited and ready to go.

"You're like a little kid on Christmas morning." Kakashi teased.

"I wouldn't know. No holidays in the Clan."

"You didn't have Christmas in the Clan?" Kakashi asked, surprised.

"Holidays were not celebrated. Still aren't. Neither are birthdays. They are not considered important." Itachi answered.

"So you've never celebrated Christmas?"

"Nope." Sasuke answered.

"That has to change then. This year we are celebrating."

"Really? Do you normally celebrate it?" Sasuke asked.

"Being a single man, no, but I did growing up. You need to experience Christmas. And I mean real Christmas, with a tree and decorations, music and a real dinner. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and cranberries."

"Sounds delicious. And a lot of fun." Sasuke said with a smile.

"We can have everyone over. It can be just the five of us. And that means you Itachi." Kakashi said as he looked at Itachi.

"If I am not on mission." Itachi agreed. He didn't care for holidays, but he knew this was something Sasuke was interested in experiencing. It made sense to him, he didn't really get a childhood and the chance to experience the little magic that most children get to.

"Good. I'll let Sakura and Kovu know." Kakashi said warmly.

"I'm going to check on security one last time before this starts." Itachi said.

"Everything is fine Niisan." Sasuke said comfortingly.

"I'm just going to make sure."

"Ok." Sasuke knew that Itachi was anxious about all of this. It was very different for him to go through and he did not expect it to be a situation he would ever have to go through. Itachi was one hell of a ninja and when he was feeling like this he always went back to that old comfort.

"Is he ok?" Kakashi asked after Itachi left.

"He's anxious. He gets anxiety. Don't say anything to him about it. He doesn't like it when people know."

"I won't say anything. Has he always had it?" Kakashi had never noticed anything with Itachi before, but when he was around Itachi it was for a mission.

"Ya. Mental health is not something the Clan is interested in nor do they want anyone to have problems with it. My father was harder on Itachi in that sense. He wanted Itachi cold and hard so he would be ready to lead the Clan. He's so used to only being a ninja that when he's in a situation like this, he gets anxious because he doesn't know what he's supposed to do or how to act. It's why he doesn't like politics and being in the spotlight."

"And yet he's going through it."

"He is, for me. He's only ever been two things, a ninja and a big brother. He doesn't know how to just be himself. I get it. I don't really know either. He's always had my back though and it's nice that he's got my back again. I think this time around we'll be stronger than before. And on that topic, tonight we are celebrating. I got Kovu to pick me up some champagne."

"We are definitely celebrating this tonight. It's a huge step for you."

"That's not what we're celebrating or at least not the only thing." Sasuke said with a big smile.

"And what is the other reason we are celebrating? The house?"

"No, but we can add that in. For some reason Itachi went and saw my contract."

"Your agency contract?" Kakashi was now very interested in this.

"Yup. He saw that I started when I was three and that all of my parameters are open. He changed them."

"He knows your father was lying. What did he change them too?"

"I'm cleared to only do the operations that have the same parameters as he has. So only criminal organizations. No more torture, no more drugs and no more sex of any kind. Just normal ninja stuff."

"Oh Sweetheart that is amazing. I know it's not out of your contract, but now you don't have to worry about any of that anymore. Now the only one that touches you is me. This is amazing."

Kakashi pulled Sasuke in for a hug. He couldn't believe that Itachi had done this, but he was thrilled that he had. Now Sasuke didn't have to go through any of that horror again. He could just be a ninja and focus on taking down dangerous criminals.

"I know. Now I get to be just yours and only yours. He also added in that I get a week vacation every month and if I'm on an operation it c

arries over to the next month. I can actually get frequent time off now."

"That's wonderful and now you can spend it at your beach house." Kakashi said, as he pulled back.

"We can spend it at my beach house."

"Definitely. This is wonderful news Sasuke. Have you told Kovu yet?"

"No I wanted to tell you first and I figured I would wait until tomorrow to let him know. Get the concert done with and then give him something else to work on." Sasuke said with a small smirk.

"I don't see him having a problem helping with something as good as this. Itachi seems a lot better, maybe you should think about telling him about your father."

"I don't want him overwhelmed. He feels guilty enough about the contract. He made it so that he receives every operation order and report that I file so my father can't try and sneak one in against the parameters. I did tell him about the seal though. He's going to try and figure out how to remove it. He gave me a key to his place too, he made sure there was a bedroom for me. He doesn't really want me at the house just in case. Especially with him not there now. But I have my own house now that I can be at on break and I'll be gone most of the time on operations. I really won't be in the village much."

"And when you are, you will be in my bed so that works out nicely. I am glad you told him about the seal, that's something at least. And telling him everything all at once could be hard on you and on him. Overloading. Tell him things as you feel ready to talk about them. At least now you are safe from him and from every pervert out there. That is huge."

"It is a huge help. Even if I can't get out of my contract for another five years. I can do five years of criminal organizations. That's nothing."

"It would be nothing compared to what you've had to endure on operations. This is really great news Sweetheart. Tonight we are going to celebrate it all." Kakashi said with a warm smile.

"Hell ya we are."

They spent the small remaining time in the back room hanging out. When it was show time Kakashi gave Sasuke a hug and headed off to his seat. He walked out and sat down next to Kovu on the end of the round table. He saw Itachi sitting on the other side with Sakura to his right and then Naruto.

"How is he?" Itachi asked.

"Full of energy. He's not even the least bit nervous. I don't know how he's doing it right now. I would be throwing up."

"Sasuke doesn't get nervous. He's a badass." Naruto said proudly for his friend.

"He is a badass. He's been dreaming about this since he was little. He's beyond ready for this." Kovu said.

"I'm excited to see him perform. This is going to be so interesting." Sakura said.

"It's going to be a great show. Everyone is really talented." Kovu said.

"How did the rest of the interviews go?" Kakashi asked.

"They went well. The reporters asked them a bunch of questions and didn't ask anything about Sasuke, which I was very pleased about. They let each of them have their own spotlight. It went great."

"That's good. Sasuke was worried about bringing too much attention on him and others were left behind. He didn't do this for the attention."

"And that came across in the interviews. Some of the reporters came up to me afterwards and expressed how surprised they were at how humble Sasuke was. They said it was a breath of fresh air compared to some people they have interviewed."

"Sasuke has always been humble at heart. He's confident in his ninja skills, but underneath he's very down to earth." Itachi said.

"That's why the village likes him so much. He's the black sheep in the Clan. They can relate to him and see the humanity in him. It's a very good thing right now. The Clan is hated by the majority of the village currently." Kovu said.

"Why?" Naruto asked.

"People don't like Fugaku and how he has handled Sasuke since he has returned from the war. The Clan was very quiet while they were supposed to be dead. They kept to themselves. With them now being back to the living the village is not liking how they have handled a few things since." Kovu explained.

"Like that interview with Sasuke and his father." Sakura stated.

"Exactly. Fugaku can scream all he wants that Sasuke isn't gay, but everyone in the village knows he's gay. Sasuke has never tried to hide it and his father forcing him to only makes the village hate the Clan more. Fugaku needs to be careful before the village takes over." Kovu said.

"What do you mean takes over?" Kakashi asked.

"There is a loop hole within the contract with the Clan and the village. When my father agreed to work with the Agency and relocate to the village, the village influencers had some concerns. Within the contract it states that if the village feels the Clan leader is not upholding the moral or ethical standards that it should be, they can declare a vote of no confidence and force the Clan to pick a new leader." Itachi explained.

"Why would Fugaku agree to that?" Kakashi asked.

"He doesn't ever expect for the village to go against the Clan. I don't think he expected for the village to take such a liking to Sasuke either. It is a bridge that may be crossed one day." Itachi said.

"Who would pick the new leader? The Clan or the village?" Sakura asked.

"The village would have that power. They could pick anyone with the Uchiha name. Typically it would be the next in line, myself, but if the village forces the change they would most likely pick Sasuke." Itachi said.

"I can't imagine that would go over well with the Clan." Naruto commented.

"It would not be a smooth transition. Sasuke would have the right to pick someone else should he wish." Itachi said.

"Hopefully it won't come to that." Kovu said as Merria walked out onto stage.

Everyone began to clap as they gave Merria their full attention. They could see some cameras flashing as the press took pictures. She gave them all a big wave as she spoke into the microphone.

"Good evening everyone! Are you ready for a great show!"

People clapped and cheered, clearly excited for the concert.

"We have a great show for you tonight and an extra special surprise at the end of the night. If we reach our one million dollar goal you will get a special encore performance with everyone in the show. Trust me it is a sight you don't want to miss. All proceeds will be going towards the charity to build safe houses for orphan children all over the world. So please give what you can." Merria then turned her attention to the camera and spoke directly into it. "To all of our viewers at home, you can also donate by calling in to the number at the bottom of your screen." Merria then turned her attention back to the room. "Now that all of that is out of the way. Let the show begin!"

Everyone began to clap and cheer as Merria headed off the stage. Itachi looked down to the program on the table and saw that Sasuke wouldn't be up for five numbers, and it was a duet with some other man. He let out a small breath to try and calm his nerves as he sat back and did his best to enjoy the show. He had no doubt in his mind that his brother would be good. Kakashi and Kovu had been saying it for the past couple of days. Still, he was nervous for him. He didn't want this to turn against Sasuke. It was his dream and all Itachi wanted was for this to go over well and let Sasuke embrace this moment.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

It was finally the fifth song and everyone at Sasuke's table were anxious to see it. The lights on stage went out and when they came on, it was only a spotlight showing the other man with a guitar.

(Man)

Tell me somethin' boy
Are you happy in this modern world?
Or do you need more?
Is there somethin' else you're searchin' for?

I'm fallin'
In all the good times
I find myself longing for change
And in the bad times, I fear myself

A light appeared above Sasuke, revealing him to the room with his own mic stand. A few in the crowd cheered at seeing him.

(Sasuke)

Tell me something boy
Aren't you tired tryin' to fill that void?
Or do you need more?
Ain't it hard keepin' it so hardcore?

I'm falling
In all the good times I find myself longing for change

And, in the bad times, I fear myself

As Sasuke started to sing the next verse the crowd began to cheer and clap.

I'm off the deep end, watch as I dive in
I'll never meet the ground
Crash through the surface where they can't hurt us
We're far from the shallow now.

(Both)

In the sha-ha, sha-la-low
In the sha-sha, sha-la-la-la-low
In the sha=ha, sha-ha-ha-low
We're far from the shallow now

(Sasuke)

Hoo, huh, uh, huhh-ow

Huh, huhh-huhhh

I'm off the deep end, watch as I dive in

The crowd all stood up and clapped as Sasuke hit the harder notes in the song.

I'll never meet the ground

Crash through the surface

Where they can't hurt us

We're far from the shallow now

(Both)

In the sha-ha, sha-la-low

In the sha-ha, sha-la-la-la-low

In the sha-ha, sha-ha-ha-low

We're far from the shallow now

With the song over everyone clapped and cheered. Itachi couldn't help the smile on his face. His brother was truly amazing. His voice was flawless. Itachi wasn't an expert at all, he didn't even really like music, but he could listen to Sasuke sing all day and night and never get tired of it. Sasuke and the other man headed off the stage and everyone sat back down.

"He's amazing." Sakura said, amazed.

"I told you." Kakashi said proudly.

"He's awesome. When is he up again?" Naruto asked as he went to look at the program.

"Four songs." Kovu answered.

"Man this is going to be an awesome show." Naruto said, now very excited for the rest of the concert. Sakura gave a nod in agreement.

They sat there watching the other performers all waiting for when Sasuke would be back on. When it was his turn Kakashi reached behind everyone to tap on Itachi's shoulder. Itachi looked back at Kakashi.

"It's about you." Was all Kakashi said as he turned his attention to Sasuke, who took to the mic stand once again.

Itachi made sure he gave his brother his full attention as the music started.

(Sasuke)

When I'm lost in the rain
In your eyes I know I'll find the light to light my way
When I'm scared, losing ground
When my world is going crazy
You can turn it all around

And when I'm down you're there pushing me to the top
You're always there giving me all you've got

For a shield from the storm
For a friend, for a love to keep me safe and warm
I turn to you

For the strength to be strong
For the will to carry on
For everything you do
For everything that's true
I turn to you

When I lose the will to win
I just reach for you and I can reach the sky again
I can do anything
'Cause your love is so amazing
'Cause your love inspires me

And when I need a friend
You're always on my side
Giving me faith
Taking me through the night

For a shield from the storm
For a friend, for a love to keep me safe and warm
I turn to you

For the strength to be strong
For the will to carry on
For everything you do
I turn to you

For the arms to be my shelter through all the rain
For truth that will never change
For someone to lean on

For a heart I can rely on through anything
For that one who
I can run to

For a shield from the storm
For a friend, for a love to keep me safe and warm
I turn to you

For the strength to be strong
For the will to carry on
For everything you do
For everything that's true
For everything you do
For everything that's true
I turn to you

Everyone clapped and Itachi gave Sasuke a warm smile. Sasuke smiled back and mouthed I love you before he gave a wave to the crowd and headed off the stage. Itachi was doing his best to keep his emotions under control. At one point their relationship had been unbreakable. They were closer than anyone could be, even having a seal so they could feel the other's emotions and strength. Sasuke had always been the most important person in his life, the most important aspect of his life. He was always a brother first, but recently since getting back from the war and Akatsuki he had lost that part of himself. Sasuke had been suffering this whole time on his own and still he had believed in him. Itachi was never going to let him down again. He was going to make sure their connection was stronger than ever before. He would get back into the habit of being a brother first and a ninja second.

They spent the next six songs watching the other performers, all waiting for when Sasuke would be back up. When it was his turn he was joined on stage by other performers all dancing. It was a fast song and a cover that Sasuke was doing. The second the music started all the females in the crowd started to cheer and most of them stood up and started to dance around in the spot.

It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M
Just put your paws up
'Cause you were born this way, baby

(Sasuke)
My mama told me when I was young
We are all born superstars
She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on
In the glass of her boudoir

"There's nothing wrong with loving who you are"
She said, "'Cause he made you perfect, babe"
"So hold your head up girl and you'll go far,
Listen to me when I say"

"Sing!" Sasuke said and the crowd didn't even hesitate to join in.

(Sasuke)
I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way
Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set

(Background Singers)

Same DNA, but born this way
Same DNA, but born this way

The crowd all cheered as all of the performers headed off the stage. Everyone at Sasuke's table couldn't believe how good that number was. Sasuke was not only singing, but he was dancing as well. You could tell he was loving it and completely comfortable on the stage. He was even playing it up to the camera for everyone back home.

"That was awesome." Sakura said, as she sat back down.

"He's so comfortable up there. You wouldn't know he's never done this before." Naruto said, impressed.

"He's a natural." Kakashi said proudly.

This was not a sight he could ever get tired of seeing. Sasuke belonged on stage, that was where his home was. Kakashi was going to try and figure out how he could make this happen more for Sasuke. He had vacation time every month now, there had to be something they could figure out for him. He would need to speak to Kovu about it and see if it would be possible to do something on short notice each time, as there was no guarantee Sasuke wouldn't be out on an operation all month long. He was going to figure something out though, Sasuke belonged in this world.

It was another seven songs before Sasuke was back up for his second last song. This song was another cover song.

(Sasuke)

Jenny grew up wild, like a blackfoot daisy
Out in the shack with a blue tick hound
Broke as hell, but blessed with beauty
The kind that a rich man can't turn down
She caught the eye of an oil man dancing
One summer night in a dime store dress
She had the looks, he had the mansion
And you can figure out the rest

It was all roses, dripping in diamonds
Sipping on champagne
She was all uptown, wearing that white gown
Taking his last name

She could hear those church bells ringing, ringing
And up in the loft, that whole choir singing, singing
Fold your hands and close your eyes
Yeah, it's all gonna be alright
And just listen to the church bells ringing, ringing
Yeah, they're ringing

Jenny was hosting Junior League parties
And having dinner at the country club
Everyone thought they were Ken and Barbie
But Ken was always getting way too drunk
Saturday night, after a few too many
He came home ready to fight
And all his money could never save Jenny
From the devil living in his eyes

It was all bruises, covered in makeup
Dark sunglasses
And that next morning, sitting in the back pew
Praying with the baptist

She could hear those church bells ringing, ringing
And up in the loft, that whole choir singing, singing
Fold your hands and close your eyes
Yeah, it's all gonna be alright
You just listen to the church bells ringing, ringing
Yeah, they're ringing

Jenny slipped something in his Tennessee whiskey
No law man was ever gonna find
And how he died is still a mystery
But he hit a woman for the very last time

She could hear those church bells ringing, ringing
Standing there in a black dress singing, singing
Fold your hands and close your eyes
Yeah, it's all gonna be alright
And just listen to the church bells ringing, ringing
Yeah, they're ringing

Once everyone was done clapping Sakura spoke.

"I wonder how much they have raised so far."

"Merria will tell everyone after the last song. She's hoping that if people don't know more will donate in hopes of seeing the special encore." Kovu said.

"I put my donation in earlier." Kakashi said.

"Same." Kovu commented.

"Did you?" Sakura asked softly to Itachi.

She didn't know how Itachi felt about any of this. She was happy to see him here supporting Sasuke, but that didn't mean he cared about the charity.

Itachi gave a nod as he spoke. "I put it in both of our names."

"Really? Why?" Sakura was shocked. She knew they were engaged, but that didn't mean they needed to share everything.

"The village has a problem with the Clan, as you know. It would be easier on you once word gets out about the engagement if the village saw you interacting with them and supporting the causes they support. It would be better for you to be viewed as Sasuke has been within the village and not be trapped with the Clan's reputation."

"Oh, thank-you." Sakura was slightly surprised. It was very thoughtful and nice of Itachi to care about what her reputation in the village would be like. She was looking forward to speaking with Sasuke about what she could do in the village for a job and to help out.

They sat there watching the last five acts. Sasuke was closing the show tonight with an original song and they were all looking forward to it. The lights went out and this time when they came on Sasuke was standing alone on the stand under a spotlight. He was holding a microphone and as the music started he looked at Kakashi and gave him a wink. It was a signal to let Kakashi know that this song was about him.

(Sasuke)

Sweet love, sweet love
Trapped in your love
I've opened up, unsure I can trust
My heart and I were buried in dust
Free me, free us

You're all I need
When I'm holding you tight
If you walk away
I will suffer tonight

I found a man I can trust
And boy, I believe in us
I am terrified to love for the first time
Can you see that I'm bound in chains?
I've finally found my way

I am bound to you
I am bound to you

So much, so young
I've faced on my own
Walls I built up became my home
I'm strong and I'm sure there's a fire in us
Sweet love, so pure

I catch my breath
We're just one beating heart
And I brace myself
Please don't tear this apart

I found a man I can trust
And boy, I believe in us
I am terrified to love for the first time
Can't you see that I'm bound in chains?
I've finally found my way

I am bound to you
I am bound to

Suddenly the moment's here
I embrace my fears
All that I have been carrying all these years
Do I risk it all?
Come this far just to fall?
Fall

I can trust
And, boy, I believe in us
I am terrified to love for the first time
Can you see that I'm bound in chains?
And finally found my way

I am bound to you
I am, ooh I am
I'm bound to you

Everyone was silent for a moment before the room erupted in applause. Everyone was on their feet clapping and cheering for Sasuke. Kakashi could feel his heart in his throat. The emotions that came out of Sasuke during this song were moving. It was making it hard for him to breathe. That song meant everything to Kakashi and all he wanted to do in this moment was grab Sasuke and kiss him. He couldn't wait until tonight when he could have Sasuke in his arms again. That was the only place he wanted Sasuke to ever be. Sasuke waved to everyone before he held his hand out to the left as he spoke.

"Give it up for Merria everyone."

Merria walked out on stage and joined Sasuke. She gave him a hug before she spoke into her own mic.

"It is the moment you all have been waiting for. We have reached the end of our show and what a show it has been. Let's give it up for all of our performers!"

More clapping and cheering could be heard and when it calmed back down Merria spoke. "Our goal was to reach a million dollars donated. I am very proud to announce that we have a grand total of one and a half million dollars raised tonight!" The crowd cheered again and Sasuke just smiled. He knew what this meant. "Sasuke will need to go and get changed for the special encore numbers. We have two of them and trust me when I say you are going to love it."

"I'd like to apologize now in advance." Sasuke said with a smile and a small chuckle.

"Oh trust me ladies you are going to love this." Merria said with a devilish smile.

The women let out a few cheers and cat calls before Merria continued. "We need to do a quick wardrobe change and then the encore will begin. Please enjoy everyone!"

Sasuke and Merria headed off the stage and Sasuke quickly ran to the change rooms to get into his new outfit.

"What do you think it is?" Naruto asked, as some background music was playing now that the stage was dark.

"I don't know. Kakashi, has he given any hints?" Sakura asked.

"He hasn't. When they were rehearsing he even kicked us out."

"I have no idea what it is. All I know is that everyone that was in the show will be in it. I didn't even know they would need to change their clothes." Kovu added.

"Man I wonder what it is." Naruto complained.

"It's great that they were able to raise so much money though. They are going to be able to do a lot with that." Sakura said.

"It is good. They should be able to build even more safe houses now. It's going to be a huge help." Kakashi agreed.

"Where is the charity located?" Naruto asked.

"Locally. They have a few safe houses within the area, but Merria wanted to create more. Her goal is to have safe houses all over the world so a child could move from one location to another should he or she need to. Some kids are orphans because their parent or parents are in jail. If they get out it could be dangerous for the kid if their parent got to them. It's a great cause, one I am proud to have helped with." Kovu said.

"That does sound like a great charity. It would be nice to be involved in it more." Sakura said.

"Merria would love the help. She is always busy and she goes to those safe house locations to check in on the children. She could always use another medic volunteer." Kovu said.

"I'll speak with her about it. It would be nice to give back, especially after the war."

"That is something I want to do more of. With the war now over with, there are plenty of villages that need help after everything that happened. It would be nice to give back and help a lot of people that need it." Naruto said.

"It's important to give back. A lot of villages were damaged from the war. They could really use the help." Kakashi said.

It was five minutes later when the lights started to come back up on the stage. The second you could see the singers, everyone's jaw dropped. There up on stage with six other girls was Sasuke. It wasn't that he was on stage with them, it was what he was wearing. It was a short school girl skirt that didn't cover his ass, a tight white button down shirt that went down to his waist and had short sleeves, he also had black suspenders on, fishnet stockings that stopped at his thighs, attached were a garter straps that disappeared under the skirt. To top all of that off he had over the knee high black stiletto boots. Sakura screamed with excitement as Sasuke started to sing.

"I don't know where to look." Naruto said, completely shocked.

Itachi was sitting there completely shocked by what he was seeing. The crowd was screaming all around him, mostly females but Itachi could pick up a few male voices clearly happy with what they were seeing. Itachi had no idea what he was feeling or thinking about this. He couldn't ignore how confident Sasuke was with all of this. He wasn't the least bit worried about what he was wearing or doing. He looked perfectly at home right now in this moment.

Kakashi had never in his life seen something like this before. He had never expected to see Sasuke up on a stage in lingerie practically. All that could go through his mind was how sexy he looked in this moment. All he wanted was to grab Sasuke, push him up against a wall and have his way with him. Kakashi had never thought he would ever be turned on by a sight like this, but Sasuke was so hot in this moment it was taking every ounce of self control he had to keep himself from getting hard right here, right now. He almost lost all control when Sasuke turned around and Kakashi could see that whatever underwear Sasuke was wearing, it was black and the bottom of his ass was not covered.

Sasuke began to sing and dance with the others up on stage. It was a mix between boys and girls up on stage, but all of them were completely confident. Kakashi was doing everything he could to not get hard sitting here in a room full of people. They were doing a burlesque song and after it was done they started another. All Kakashi could think about was getting Sasuke alone. They couldn't even go straight home, they had to deal with more press and the people who had paid extra to see him backstage. After the hottest fifteen minutes of his life everyone on stage bowed and headed off. And with that the show was over they all headed off stage and the crowd went nuts.

Kakashi knew it was over and he didn't need to stay around to hear Merria thank everyone. He got up and headed straight for Sasuke. He caught up with him and grabbed his arm and pulled him into one of the private bathrooms. He quickly locked the door before he pushed Sasuke up against it and pulled his mask down. He didn't even give Sasuke the chance to say anything before he kissed Sasuke hard and fast. He pushed himself up against Sasuke so their crotches rubbed against each other, causing them both to moan. After a moment Kakashi pulled back for a second and Sasuke spoke in a husky voice.

"I guess that means you like the outfit."

"This outfit needs to come home with us. I want to see you in nothing, but this with your legs spread wide open on our bed."

"So definitely liking the outfit."

"Love it. I don't know why, but you are very sexy like this."

"I don't know why either, but I like it too." Sasuke said with a sexy smirk.

Kakashi kissed Sasuke again and ran his hand up Sasuke's right leg up to his ass. Sasuke lifted his leg and wrapped it around Kakashi's hips, pulling him even closer. The kiss got even more heated, but at the sounds of other people in the hallway Kakashi reluctantly pulled back.

"As badly as I want to be buried deep inside of you right now, you have press waiting. But tonight you are all mine."

"Can't wait."

Kakashi readjusted his pants to try and hide his now very hard dick. They both headed out and Kakashi guided Sasuke to the dressing room. In the room were all of the other performers getting changed and Itachi. Sasuke couldn't help the nervousness that flooded his entire body. He had no idea what Itachi was going to think of any of it. Of his singing, the song he wrote about him or about the last two numbers he just did. It would be a huge shock to anyone and when Sasuke had agreed to do this he didn't think Itachi would ever be here. That he would ever see him wearing this type of clothing. It was the first time in a long time that he felt insecure about himself in what he was wearing.

Itachi gave Sasuke a warm smile as he pulled him in for a hug. Sasuke easily hugged him back and let out a small sigh at the relief he felt. To know that his brother didn't care about anything he just did. To know that once again he was on his side, that he accepted him, meant everything to him.

"You were amazing Ototo. I loved every single moment of it."

"Thank-you. It means everything to me that you were here for this."

"I wouldn't miss it. You were amazing, too amazing not to be doing this again." Itachi said, as he pulled back.

"I'm not really sure if that would be possible, but I at least got to do this once and that is more than I ever thought I would get. I have to get changed for the press part again."

"You go and get ready. Kakashi will take you to the press meet and greet, I am going to deal with Mitto."

"What are you going to do with him?" Sasuke asked.

"I'm going to make him leave. He doesn't need to be around you."

"Are you sure? I can handle it." Sasuke didn't want to put Itachi through any more stress than he was already in.

"I have it. He won't argue with me. You get changed, I'll meet you there."

Itachi headed out and Kakashi turned his attention to Sasuke. He knew he was worried about his brother and all of the stress this could be potentially putting on him. Kakashi also knew that when Itachi set his mind to something he got it done. He would be keeping an eye on Itachi and making sure he was handling everything well. He didn't really care too much for Itachi, but he would be a major part of Sasuke's life, so he would need to be there for him. They used to get along when they were in the ANBU together, Kakashi was confident they would be able to get along once again. Especially now that Itachi was helping to get Sasuke safe and away from his father.

"He'll be ok. Your brother can handle a lot and Mitto doesn't stand a chance against him."

"I know. I just hate having him do this. He's not used to this life. He likes being in the shadows and now he's doing all of this and getting political, it's a lot for him."

"I know, but he's doing it because he loves you. We can talk more about it tonight, but right now you need to get changed and head off for the press interviews and the meet and greet."

"Ok, I'll be a couple of minutes and then I'll be ready to go."

Kakashi gave him a warm smile as Sasuke grabbed his clothes and headed off to get changed in the bathroom. Kakashi knew that Sasuke would worry about Itachi regardless of what he would say. Tonight when they got back home they could talk more about it. Once Sasuke was done getting changed into his previous clothes he came out and put his sexy outfit into his bag. Once he was ready they both headed out to the meet and greet.

Itachi made his way over to where Mitto was. He was not going to be putting up with anyone stalking or harassing his brother, especially Mitto. Itachi wasn't stupid, his father obviously didn't believe he would be able to stop Sasuke from this concert and he sent Mitto in to spy and report back. Itachi was not going to let Mitto or his father bring any harm to his brother. Itachi wasn't sure about this at first either, but the second he heard Sasuke sing, he was gone. Sasuke's voice was undeniable. It was amazing. Sasuke belonged up on stage singing and Itachi was going to do everything he can to make sure Sasuke is where he belonged.

Itachi walked up to Mitto who was getting ready to head backstage. Itachi stood in front of him, blocking his way.

"You're going in the wrong direction." Itachi said with an edge to his voice.

"Ah Itachi, I'm surprised to see you here. I would have thought you would have agreed with your father to keep Sasuke out of this ridiculous concert."

"My brother's talents and dreams are never ridiculous and I will never stand in the way of his happiness. My father is not the one you need to worry about. If I hear that you have been around my brother again, I'll kill you. Get the hell out of here, now." Itachi demanded.

"Part of my job is dealing with Sasuke and changing how he behaves to ensure he represents the true essence of the Uchiha Clan. He clearly still needs a lot of work."

"He doesn't need anything from you. There are other media representatives that can take Sasuke on. You are done being around him. This is your only warning Mitto. Get out now or the media will get something else to cover tonight."

The deadly tone in Itachi's voice was enough to force Mitto to move. He turned around and headed for the door. Itachi knew this was not the end of dealing with Mitto, but at least for tonight he was out of their lives and Sasuke wouldn't have to worry about him. Now they just needed to get Sasuke through the rest of the press interviews and then he would be able to go home.

Itachi walked through his front door, with Sakura right behind him. His future wife, something he was still not used to and he was doubting he ever would be. The one small thing about being engaged to Sakura meant that it would buy him some time to prevent Sasuke from being trapped in some arranged marriage.

"Are you hungry?" Sakura asked, as she headed for the kitchen.

They hadn't really eaten much of anything with being at the concert and she was going to make herself something to eat.

"You don't need to cook for me." Itachi said.

"I'm not cooking for you, I'm cooking for me. But if you are hungry I'll make enough for two." Sakura said, as she looked into the fridge.

"I'll help." Itachi said, as he removed his coat.

"Are you picky? Sasuke is pretty easy as long as it's not sweets."

"I'm not picky, and I like sweets."

"Really?" Sakura asked, surprised as she started to take out a few things.

"I've always loved sweets. I used to try and get Sasuke to eat them, but he has always hated them." Itachi said as he got some items out so they could cut up the vegetables.

"I love sweets, especially baked goods. I used to bake all the time and experiment, but I haven't been able to do that in the recent years. I should get back into it, do you eat cookies and cakes or is it just chocolate?"

"I eat them."

"Is that normal for the Clan?" Sakura was trying to get any kind of information out of Itachi. She knew she could ask Sasuke tomorrow when she went over to see him, but she was hoping to get Itachi talking. To try and get rid of that awkwardness between them.

"No the Clan has strict rules for what you are supposed to be eating. I go against it."

"Really? You don't seem like the type to go against rules within the Clan." Sakura said, surprised that Itachi was doing something that he knew he wasn't supposed to do.

"I've sacraficed a lot, I get to eat what I want. I deserve that much."

"Yes you do." Sakura said with a warm smile.

Itachi had been through a lot in his life, Sakura knew that much. He did deserve to eat whatever he wanted and was free to be himself after everything he had gone through.

"Tonight went amazing I think. Did you know Sasuke could sing?"

"No, I've never heard him do that before. He was always writing in journals when he was little, but I didn't know what he was writing. He was always focused on his training, I thought being a ninja was what he wanted to be."

"Nothing says he can't be both. I hope he is able to do it again, he seemed to come alive on stage. He belonged there."

"He did and I'm sure he'll be able to do it again." Itachi was going to do his best on making sure Sasuke would be able to live his dream.

"I hope so." Sakura said with a warm smile.

She looked over to Itachi and saw that he was just focused on cutting up the food. Sakura had a feeling that Itachi wasn't the talkative type, but she didn't really expect him to be. She knew that Sasuke wasn't much of a talker and she doubted that the whole clan was either. She was hoping that they could live in peace and they could make it work until they could get divorced and go their separate ways. Sakura could be civil if the other person was as well. They would figure out how to make this work and maybe they could even grow to be friends.

Sasuke and Kakashi walked into Kakashi's home and Sasuke gave him a warm smile.

"I'll be right back."

Kakashi gave a nod and he headed off to the kitchen to grab the champagne and some glasses while Sasuke went upstairs. He had no idea what Sasuke was doing, but he was looking forward to spending the night with him. He had no idea when they would get sent out on a mission so he wanted to take advantage of all the time they had together without the stress of a mission over them. Kakashi had just finished getting his coat and boots off when he heard the clicking of heels on the floor. He looked over and he cou;dn't help the moan at seeing Sasuke in his little outfit again.

Kakashi grabbed their drinks and the bottle and he went over to Sasuke as he spoke.

"Get that sexy ass in my bed, right now."

"Yes Sensei." Sasuke said with a sexy smirk as he turned around and swayed his hips as he walked back towards the stairs.

Kakashi gave a growl as he went after Sasuke, tonight was far from over and he was going to enjoy every second he was going to get with Sasuke and this sexy new outfit.
