Sitting in class with Gelus perched on the ceiling fan, Misa hummed as she doodled absentmindedly in her notebook.

Frowning, she stared down at her crude drawing of what she imagined her brother might look like and clicked her tongue. She had been deliberating on what his name should for a whole now and she finally had a viable idea.

Misa was going to give him such a long one that on official documents it would be shortened.

Smirking to herself she tapped her foot on the ground and leaned forward in her chair.

Or perhaps her brother would decide to get it changed to Amane, considering he was going to take up their father's last name.

Every single last one of them.

Then as another protective measure, she was debating on whether or not to ask Gelus for his notebook and tricking somebody into trying to guess how her brother's entire name was spelled.

And if they fucked it up three times unknowingly then he was safe - but that was a gamble because if she ended up finding the one person knowledgeable enough to spell it out correctly then Dante was dead.

But perhaps she would take the chance anyway, if only to keep her brother safe from the tools of the Death God's. She would just need to find someone who knew virtually little to no English and get them to try it.

Shaking her head to rid herself of those thoughts, Misa looked down at her brother's selected middle name and smiled.

Michelangelo was perfect, especially since people tended to spell it Michaelangello, Michealangelo, or even Michaelangelo. And she knew intimately how hard it would be to correctly get the kanji down if one were to be confused on what vowels made up a specific word.

And finally he would, as she had mentioned before, take up her father's startling long surname.

Despite being known as purely Italian, her father was actually half Spanish from his mother's side but since no one ever asked nobody ever knew.

Her dad's name was Visio Martínez Villanueva de Bianchi.

And her brother would be Dante Michelangelo Martínez Villanueva de Bianchi - which translated into Japanese would be hell.

Each word would probably have to be translated separately to even make sense! She already knew that Dante was definitely going have his name changed or at least would put something hyphenated down on his paperwork to avoid confusion.

And since her brother was going to be born in Italy, his original birth certificate will be in an Anglo-Saxon language, meaning when they returned to Japan they had to get another one forged in Japanese.

It was kind of brilliant and kind of risky at the same time but Misa was prepared to deal with any obstacles that fell in the way of protecting her family. Smiling happily to herself she looked up at the clock and grinned when she saw that it was nearly time to go. Graciously bowing to Takaba-sensei, the young blonde scooped up her bag, stuffed her things inside and ran for the exit.

Shoving open the school doors she glanced over to the side and spied the handsome form of her father leaning against the pillars in the courtyard.

Grinning, she bolted over and attached herself to his leg.

"I picked a name out for my baby brother!" Misa chirped and her father chuckled.

"Really now?" He hummed as he walked with her to their car. "And what is it?"

Taking a moment to smile deviously to herself, the young blonde looked up at her father and gave him her most innocent look.

"Dante Michelangelo Martínez Villanueva de Bianchi!" She giggled out as she glanced over to see Gelus flying beside her. "I'm naming him after you, but the middle name is super original."

Her father stopped, blinked and shot her a faintly startled look.

"Wow," He murmured as he resumed their trek. "Dante is either going to hate his name or hate me."

Misa laughed.

"Wouldn't he hate me instead?" She questioned as they neared the car and her father opened the door to the backseat. "Since I picked the name?"

Visio chuckled.

"Definitely not, after all who possibly could? You're a sweetheart!" He grinned before closing the door and rounding over to slide into the driver's seat. "Besides, he'll know where you go the idea from and will likely question why your mother and myself didn't object."

Misa hummed and speaking of which.

"Do you think kaa-chan will like it?" She asked, making sure to sound anxious and she partially wasn't faking because lately everything made her mother either sad or mad.

The blond man nodded.

"Of course!" He exclaimed. "If you picked it out, she'll adore it!"

"I adore it!" Haruka squealed as she cuddled Misa close. "And I know little Dante will too!"

Breathing a bit in relief, the budding model pressed a kiss to her mother's cheek and then to her bulbous stomach and smiled.

"I can't wait for him to be here." She confessed and her father ruffled her hair.

"I don't think any of us can." He said before his bright eyes flashed up towards Haruka with a grin. "Although your mother more than we can imagine."

Said woman puffed up her cheeks and sent Visio a mock mean glare.

"I love him as much as the next blood relative but you try dealing with a rowdy baby in your stomach!" She playfully growled out with her dainty hands on her hips. "Misa was such a tame child that I have thought her brother would be the same."

Huffing a bit, her father ducked his head and pressed a kiss to her mother's knuckles.

"Sorry mi amor," He purred out, eyes sparkling with heat and Misa shifted warily. "perhaps I can make it up to you later tonight?"

And the moment she saw the red blossoming on her mother's cheeks Misa knew she needed to step in.

Now.

"I wasn't like Dante when I was in your stomach?" She asked curiously, half because she wanted to know and half to get her parents to stop being gross. Sure she was glad her parents didn't stop enjoying themselves because of the pregnancy but please, chill.

Her mother blinked and turned to look at her daughter with a bright smile.

"Nope!" She chirped. "In fact, you were so quiet that I got worried almost day and called my gynecologist frequently."

Misa scrunched up her nose and sent her mother a look.

"But I'm okay right?" She asked and hurriedly her mother rushed to assure her.

"Of course honey!" She soothed as she ran a hand through her flaxen hair. "If you weren't we would have told you as soon as we thought you could understand."

Nodding Misa cuddled into her mother's side and looked at her father.

"What time is it?" She asked because soon she would have to go to her defense lesson but she was comfortable sitting next to Haruka.

"If you need to ask then you should start getting ready." Her father joked and Misa groaned loudly.

"Fine." She grumped as she slid from the couch and up the stairs.

Opening the door to her room, Misa changed into the pink sweatpants and sweatshirt set laying out her bed as quickly as could before she grabbed her matching duffle bag filled with her guards, gloves, and water bottles. Casting Gelus a look, she smiled at the cute Shinigami and cocked her head to the side.

"You should come to my lesson." She said brightly, knowing that if she got the tiny creature to see that she was learning to defend herself that he might not do anything drastic to save her. "You've never been even though I've known you for a while."

Gelus gave her a smile.

"If that's alright with you." He told her and she nodded.

"Just follow the car okay." She instructed as she pushed open her door and wandered back downstairs.

"I'm ready tou-chan!" She called as she stood in front of the door and within seconds her father was leading them out to the car.

Buckling her seatbelt Misa was excited.

Her instructor was going to start the next level with her today and she was itching to learn.
