"Kiki's Delivery Service: Come Fly Away"
Chapter 1: Witch's One Year Training
The time flew by quick. Kiki's settled in the beautiful town of Koriko, Japan, one year ago today. A lot of has changed after she arrived as a newly witch in training. After becoming Osono's delivery girl, the business has grown into a big success.
The phones never stop ringing, sometimes Kiki can't catch her breath. But as Osono always says."Business is business, and we must never disappoint our customers." As the phones never stop ringing, Kiki gladly takes up the offer and follows the directions on her map. Even parts of the town she's never been to as she never has had the time.
Alongside her job, Kiki's made plenty of friends, especially her first friend Tombo. On her days off from work, Kiki and Tombo go for walks in the town, on the beach or hang out at the Aviation club Tombo runs. On special occasions, Tombo brings out the old Human-power airplane he built with the Aviation Club, and he and Kiki fly up higher and higher. The wind in Kiki's hair, Tombo pedaling his plane, thanks to years of bicycle riding, it all paid off.
As the months gone by after settling in, Kiki outgrew the red bow in her hair, after dropping the bow, she grew her hair down to her shoulders. The dress. after three months, she outgrew the black dress, and saved up all her tips, and paycheck for a new black outfit. A black satin skirt with the sewed in ankle pants, a t-shirt tucked in at the front and back with a white collar, and her new red shoes.
But Kiki didn't buy the expensive red shoes. After months of looking at the window after shopping at the supermarket, one day they were taken off the window. "I wonder who bought them?" She sighed. Well, whoever bought them, I'm sure they'll look beautiful on their feet than mine."
After pouting on the way home, Tombo was getting off his bike with a little package in his hand. As Kiki approaches him, Tombo places the package in her hand.
"What's this?" asked Kiki.
Tombo shakes his head."You'll have to open to find out." He grins.
Kiki sets down her bag of groceries, and opens the package. After months of looking through the window, always wanting to walk around in them, it was too good to be real but it was. It was the shoes."Oh! Tombo I- Thank you!"
"Every girl deserves to be swept off her feet! Get it!" He blushes beet red.
Kiki cheeks stain red. She takes off her shoes and puts them on."They fit perfectly. Tombo they were so expensive, you shouldn't have."
"Hey! Don't go all I shouldn't have bought you them and spent too much,"Mimicking Kiki as best he could."They're yours, and a way to pay me back is you wearing them. You deserve them."
Kiki jumps into his arms, and he returns her hug, his cheeks staining red smiling. 'This moment couldn't get any better'. He thought.
Everything was good, everyday was a new adventure.

''Ka-Ching!"
"Thank you, here's your change. Come back again!"
Kiki hands the customer warm bread loaves, and the change from the cash register. The customer takes his change and thanks Kiki for the bread, bowing farewell.
After a few minutes, it was Kiki's last customer for the night. Kiki gets up from her chair and flips the sign closed. She locks the door, and gets a broom from the corner to sweep up the shop. Jiji, asleep on the counter, looks up and curls himself back to sleep.
After sweeping up the shop, Kiki restocks the loaves of bread, jam, preserves on the shelves for the next morning, except she won't be there next morning, tomorrow she will be going home.
After a witch completes her full year of witch's training, a witch must go home for two weeks then return to the town they have settled in. Then repeat all over again except for only a 3 week stay, then come back again. Kiki's feeling happy but sad at the same time. She manages to smile, she gets to see her old friends, her parents, and her mom's mentor Miss Dora.
Kiki's finishes the last few touches to the shop, feeling proud of her hard work and another successful business day, she switches off the light and heads upstairs to have supper with Osono. After Osono have given birth to her son Ben, she's has not had sleep, nor time to attend customers while caring for newborn child, but thanks to Kiki and her husband, everything has been kept the same pace as if she were attending the business.
"I've finished attending my last customer." Kiki calls coming up the stairs to Osono's house.
Osono answers her from the other room putting baby Ben to bed."That's great Kiki, I'll only be a minute, I'm just putting Ben to bed."
"Okay."
Kiki sat down on the chair, and gets out her order book to give Osono for book keeping, Jiji jumps up and purrs. Kiki scratches his chin, and hugs him real tight.
"Hey, I'm not a stuffed animal." Jiji pulls away from her, and licks his paw.
"Well tonight we'll get some sleep because tomorrow we'll be going home." She pets him as Jiji stretches his back and curls back up.
"Are you sure Lilly doesn't want to come. I mean the kittens are old enough to travel.'' She's mentioning Jiji's kitten children after sort of marrying Lilly, the next door white cat.
"Lilly says on the next one she will, it took her three months that our clumsy son won't fall off your broomstick. Trust me, Lilly has been more careful on her feet since you and I took him riding, and that string was a good call."
"Well, he did get better, but for Lilly's sake, he will stay with her till we go again." she chuckles.
Osono enters the kitchen after putting her son to bed."Sorry it took so long, sleep has been a challenge since the day he was born."
Kiki waves it off."That's all right, it's part of being a mother. My mother always said it's a blessing for these special moments with your child because they won't be infants very long."
"Well, I wish my special moment he go to sleep faster." They both laugh.
Osono heats up supper in a jiffy, after preparing the rice balls, fish, and the vegetable soup, she pours the both of them a cup of tea with two sugar cubes.
"Well." Said Kiki picking up her chopsticks to eat."I'll sure miss you all when I go, two weeks will seem like forever."
Osono takes a sip of her tea."You enjoy your vacation, and don't worry while your away. We will be thinking of you as if you never left, you brought joy and wonder to our town, and everyone started to like you." she winks.
She takes a bite of her fish and stuffs the last piece of rice-ball in her mouth."I'm glad I did, and always will."
"Well Kiki, I told myself I wouldn't cry but I want to come out and say it." She sips her tea slowly and sets it down on the platter.
"Since you came to this town, people didn't seem to understand witches, until you showed them they are not like other witches in training. You grew to be a mature young lady, your like the daughter I always wanted. You're a part of this family now, and this will always be your home. My husband and I wouldn't have gone this far without you. We thank you."
Kiki wipes her tears away."Thank you Osono, that means so much to me. I will always have you, Ben, your husband, the people of this town, my parents, friends and Tombo." she blushes at the last sentence.
Osono chuckles."Give your parents our blessing, and call us when you land."
"I will!" she exclaims.
"Shh, you'll wake Ben."
"Sorry." She whispered.
"That's okay, well, you should be going up to bed now, you don't want to miss your going away party tomorrow." She smiles.
"Oh! I almost forgot, well I should wash my plate. Thank you for the dinner." She gets up from the table to wash her plate but Osono stops her.
"Kiki, it's the least I can, now go on to sleep. Goodnight."
"Goodnight, Osono. Let's go Jiji." Jiji leaps unto her shoulder, exits the kitchen and bakery door.
She climbs up the stairs to her room, and switches on the light. She opens a bottle milk for Jiji, Lilly and the kittens. She strips off her clothes and into her nightgown and switches off the light.
She doesn't go to sleep right away, tomorrow night is the night she's finally going home to see her family. She's written them many letters, and they're all proud she's doing what she's loves. Sometimes it's scary for a thirteen year old girl to be on her own, to find an environment, find their power like the Senior Psychic Witch she met. Kiki learned along the way, it's not easy to find her place in the world, her skills, the people who accept them when the time comes.
Kiki smiles, she believes she has found her place in this town, and plans to settle here forever. Her new friends, new family, and someday travel around the world and meet new witches. Everything couldn't be any better.
As the clock ticks, she turns over and falls asleep.

Dawn approaches, a new day has began.
Why was it so cold in the morning? Kiki tosses and rolls for warmth. Today the shop was closed for the party tonight, and everything was going to be perfect.
After ten minutes she grabs her robe from the chair, opens the window for the fresh cool breeze to enter her room. 'The air smells refreshing, perfect morning to go flying.'
Before work, Kiki made her own tradition to go flying over the ocean and the city every morning. Since the beginning, she wasn't much of a good flyer, like the time she crashed into a crow's nest, and crashing into the trees back home.
Now in the present, her flying has much improved, and her deliveries are twice as fast.
She changes into her clothes, but before she grabs her broom for take off, she leaves last night's leftovers for Jiji and his family, Kiki grabs an apple to eat after the flight.
She takes the broom from the wall, and takes flight. The air enters through her soul, wind blowing her hair, and the early morning fog clears the way to get a better view of the land.
She flies over the bridge as the seagulls fly over her head."Hey there!"
Kiki fly's lower, the dock men look up."HELLO!"
She waves."HELLO!"
The clock strikes 7:30 A.M. She goes over the beach, glances at the big blimp they rebuilt after the midsummer's wind. Everything in the town hasn't much changed, but Kiki loves the city and the ocean. The place was beautiful, and who wouldn't want to live here.
As Kiki's morning flight about over, she glances at the sunrise rising from the ocean. The colors, orange, pink, now baby blue hover the sky.
"It's a new day, and it can't be ruined. My destiny today, everyday." she thought.
Unbeknownst to her, was a boy her age already up with the sun. He wipes his lens to get a better look. He blushes red, he loves everything about her, not just her flying ability, as the person he fell in love with. As Kiki lands, he pushes his glasses towards his face and closes the curtains.
